Toggling LED in frames of the sequence

Hi all. This problem was escaping for a few vi now & I just can't seem to find a solution.

I have a LED on the front panel and need to switch it on frame 1, off frame 3. I have constant T/F in each frame. They control a digital output from a simple timer to cycle PWM.

LV will not let me feed both these T/F 2 a LED. I tried to use local variables, but the same thing. I know there is a very simple solution, but I can't get everything I can think of work. Any help appreciated.

Thank you

  • video tracks disappear if you switch between the sequences in first CS6

    Dear people, can you please help me find out why video tracks disappear if you switch between the sequences in first CS6.

    All this shows is the audio track and it is extended to the first frame of the sequence. Video tracks are there but hidden - even if the video appears in the program monitor.

    When I pull the tracks down in the timeline using the line of demarcation between the video and audio tracks and set the sequence back work area it works very well, however, it's a great nuisance to do every time when I swap between the sequences.

    Can someone please suggest a solution to this?

    I'd appreciate any help.

  • Get the elapsed time in the frame of the specific sequence

    Hello

    I'm running a flat sequence in one of my programs and read time elapsed in a picture in a form vi. I don't want to have the elapsed time for the entire program, just the elapsed time whenever this specific image runs, from scratch whenever that image in the sequence begins. The formula is just a linear equation which is dependent on time, so his criticism that it resets each time in order to provide a line that progresses from t = 0 each time. I tried to use in the context of the time, but I don't know how to set up properly to give the elapsed time, I'm looking for.

    I don't know how long the framework works because I just need a way to input what time her (ms or s) to a given point during execution, from t = 0 each execution.

    First of all, your formula.vi should be outside the framework of the sequence.  You can determine the run-time WHEN the framework is completed.  Place a County vi check before and after the image and subtract. (delta t is in milliseconds)

    Hey everybody,

    I'm working on a project that is almost exclusively the psd layers. The sequence settings are 23.976 fps and yet the chronology and the timecode read as 29.97 FPS. The sequences were made by dragging the PSD files on the 'create new sequence' button in the project Panel. I'm guessing this has something to do with how AE interprets the image files, but I don't know how to fix it. I have attached an image showing all of the contradictory testimony.

  • Change the color of the frame of the socket in parallel Mode

    Hello, good day everyone!

    I'm runnning my sequences in parallel Mode.

    When I run a sequence, its color of frame socket continue in blue.

    When I finish a sequence, its color of frame socket turns green momentarily.

    I would like to change that color by program from my TestStand sequence. I don't know if it is possible.

    Example: If the sequence is waiting for something, the color should change to Orange.

    ---

    When I wanted to change the text that appears in the large textbox of the socket, I had to add the code to my paralleluutdlg.c, the PostParallelUUTDialogStatusMessage function.

    I think maybe I need to add something like this once again to change the color, but I've found nothing related.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello

    I did recently added this feature to my system. I did it by modifying the example in this article in the knowledge base of NOR. I don't know if it's the best way to handle this, but it worked fine for me. I have modified the function as shown below. You simply pass your message and the hexadecimal color you want to use.

    Hope this helps, maybe someone more knowledgeable can ring in to see if my work practice seems ok.

    _stdcall DLLEXPORT int PostParallelUUTDialogStatusMessage (int dlgHandle, int testSocketIndex, int myColor, char * statusMsg)
    { Int error = 0;}
    ERRORINFO errorInfo.

    int panelId = dlgHandle;
    int childPanel = - 1;

    PUUT_PanelData * panelData = NULL;
    TestSocketData * testSocketData = NULL;

    errChk (GetPanelAttribute (panelId, ATTR_FIRST_CHILD, & childPanel));
    errChk (GetPanelAttribute (panelId, ATTR_CALLBACK_DATA, & panelData));

    testSocketData = & (panelData-> testSocketDataArray [testSocketIndex]);
    SetCtrlAttribute (childPanel, testSocketData-> tonalite [kTSCtrl_Bg], ATTR_FRAME_COLOR, myColor);

    SetCtrlAttribute (childPanel, testSocketData-> tonalite [kTSCtrl_TestSocketIndex], ATTR_TEXT_BGCOLOR, myColor);

  • Newbie needs help on the sequence

    Hello

    I just try to schedule something wih a sequence but it seems that I am quite familiar with the basic things that LabView. I am therefore asking for help.

    I want to do is start the program wait for the button to be pressed, and then turn on the LED for a second and then wait for the button to complete the sequence and execution of the program. Please see the attached VI.

    I discovered that by placing the button outside the while loop not taste it in the loop. But if I place inside how can I sample it in the other loop. Or do I need a totally different approach?

    Thanks for any help

    Martin

    Martin,

    LV is a "data flow programming language". That said, the block diagram reflects the data sources and data sinks and how they are connected.

    A rule of thumb says: a function can run as soon as all the entries are valid values, once it finishes its execution, it will pass the values valid in all its outputs.

    As a result of this sentence, you can get rid of the structure of the sequence.

    You are looking for other buzz words are:

    -machine States (architecture)

    -synchronization of loops

    Have you worked through the LV classes or "getting started"?

  • Button "Exit", used in several images of the sequence

    I hope that there is a more elegant way to do...

    See the VI attached for a much simplified program that is typical of what I am trying to accomplish.  Basically I have a button that I want available in several images in the sequence.  In this case, I used a button "quit".  When you press on, the program passes by remaining sequence frames until it ends.  The last image "unclicks" the button "Exit".  This last image is necessary because I had to put the mechanical action of the Exit button for "switch when released" because I used local variables in all the images in the sequence after the first.

    Is there a way I can accomplish the same functionality of this program without using local variables and/or during the definition of the mechanical action of the 'exit' switch to ' lock releasing?  Specifically, I'm looking for solutions that will work in several images of a structure of stacked sequence (I realized there are ways for the three lights without using a structure of stacked sequence, but I'm not interested in doing).

    Any help would be greatly appreciated!  Thank you!

    Something where you're looking at a sequence of steps, you really recommended using a state machine architecture.  (Search the forums for examples).

    Having several structures event with cases duplicated in different settings of a structure of stacked sequence (it would be a little better if you used a structure rather flat sequence), only to request trouble on the road.

  • Where to place the sequence inhabitants in a setting of the sequence? up, down, left, right?

    Hello

    I have a sequence with multiple images and I need overgive of some values in an image to the image through sequence inhabitants.

    Where should I put the local sequence? On the top or bottom of the frame? Perhaps on the right?

    If I put them on the right side of the frame wiring looks good in one but it's ugly as part of another.

    How are you?

    Greetings

    Johannes

    Hi Johannes,

    Although this is not necessary, it is better programming practice.

    You might need to make changes in the future, or to use the code in another, similar project, then its way easier to implement when you used a before state machine. And this isn't a lot of work changing a sequence to a statemachine, except that you have hundreds of frames/States.

    Back to your first question, it depends on your taste where you place the tunnels in the sequence.

  • Vision frames in the buffer

    It's more of a behind the scenes in question rather than coding.  Let me give an Installer before asking.  I use IMAQdx to a gige camera.  I use a capture card in a while loop and process the images, the details don't really matter.  Total time to do all the processing is about 200 MS, but I'm running the camera at 30 fps.  Here the question arises.  Clearly, my process is not running at 30 frames per second, but the camera is.  Is labview buffering caught executives and then treat all, or will it do its process and catch the most common once it passes to the next iteration.  I think the later is the case, and that's what I want, I just wanted to ask an expert to get what is happening behind the scenes.  THX.

    Matt

    Hi Matt!

    You belief is correct.  With the Acquisition of capture, a buffer is used and is crushed.  You can try an acquisition of the sequence, which uses the number of buffers defined by the user.  Take a look in the help file IMAQdx, too. (Start > programs > National Instruments > Vision > Documentation > IMAQdx).   There is a title page examples of programming low level function that has a very good overview of the functioning of Snap, Grab and Acquisition of the sequence.  (I just searched 'sequence').  I hope this helps!

  • sessions of the sequence

    Hello.. Please help me > > > > I have pictures and video clips

    in my project, but the black borders appear on video clips

    I want to match the project to the size of the video clips

    111111a.png111111b.pngCV

    PrPro common practice is to leave the program to define the parameters of the sequence of the primary media that you use. So when you start a sequence, you take either a clip from the Source to an area monitor empty timeline, drag & drop a clip from the project to an area Panel empty timeline, or drag & drop a clip on the "new item" icon at the bottom of the project Panel, select "Sequence" that the new element.

    PrPro emits a sequence of the size of the frame and frame-rate of the media, with the number of audio tracks, and you're ready to go. Your sample at the top of the page is a picture of 4:3 proportion, down is a 16:9 image of proportion on a sequence of 4:3 proportion.

    It seems that your video is 16:9 and your still images are 4:3 or about. Make a new sequence, dropping the video on the timeline first. Then put stills on it with "set to framesize" as a default. It's the ' Edit /: preferences "dialog box.

  • Films taking on average 11 times the length of the sequence export.

    I had to apologize to my teachers at the school of film about the fact that she was taking my 20 minute film: with "Lumetri color" on the clips and 2 "unsharp mask", as well as normal audio and music - and it took you 3 hours (seriously) only to return, and another 5 hours now just to export - using 'Use previews' and with the two boxes 'Maximum to make quality' uncontrolled export. It's an hour 10 process on a film of 20 minutes to export.

    10 hours of export process on a 20 minute film.

    It seems I'm not the only one and please please please make me stop is pressed by my teachers to use a magnetic calendar of FCP x Screw - BUT THIS isn't RIGHT.

    A customer of Adobe of pleading

    Unsharp mask will increase render time exponentially, unfortunately. Haven't tried Lumetri me am so not, of course, how the effects of exports, but have seen other complaints in this regard.

    In the future, I would recommend not made the timeline prior to export. Although there are a few situations where the first might be able to do a 'smart export' using the rendered preview files, generally went twice - once to preview and then format again in final destination format, adding a generation of compression. Certainly, the effects get made in the first pass, so the final export didn't need to do it again if you check 'Use previews', but again, not a fan of the use of permanent export previews. Better, making it all directly from the element source directly to the final format. Mac many users can be used for the CPF which pretty much required rendering previews, then did a quick converted at the end without reposting, but with the first, use the workflow in the face.

    As Bob mentioned Peru, having a dedicated hard drive VIDEO can help with flow. Using a single hard drive certainly plays a role in the speed of export. I noticed that there are only 50 GB free on this 500 GB drive. Once a car is past 70-80% of the performance full, can really make a splash. You are 90% full, so that is a factor in the slow export. You'll have enough room to complete the export? It would be another concern!

    You have Mercury GPU hardware acceleration enabled? Check under file > Project Settings > General and see what it says for converter.

    Max rendering quality is beneficial for the scale of production. If the size of the source image and destination is the same, do not use, can add a lot of rendering time.

    When you have the time, experiment you a bit. Put 1 minute of your layer source footage in the sequence, no effect and export to the format of choice. How long does it take? Now, add Lumetri and do it again to see how that could increase rendering time. Now add a mask blur and export of time will really go through the roof!

    Last tip, make sure form pre-defined sequence game footage - using the incorrect sequence adds more time conversion, such as frame rate conversion.

  • Between key frames break the Bézier handles

    Hi there, for the first time post. I'm really hoping to get an answer on this, I searched everywhere for an answer and found no one yet. So, when I create a mask (tell something rotoscoping) and I place a keyframe at the beginning of the sequence, then I place a new image key and Rotoscoping at the end of the sequence, then I try to rotoscoping between two keyframes, most (not all) the Bezier handles break so that they are are more related to each other. I want to be able to the keyframe between two key frames and all the Bézier handles permanently connected. I don't know if it's a preference thing or a bug or what, but it's DRIVING ME CRAZY. Having to move the two Bézier handles when they are broken in rotoscoping is like having to make double the quantity of work. I'd love for the handles stay connected until I actually tell them to separate. Please help me. Please, I beg you.

    Also, you can see how it goes! All you have to do is open AE, create a new layout, create a new solid layer, create a mask with Bezier handles and button mask at the beginning of the model path and then move the handles Bezier path at the end of the model as you're rotoscoping something, then go in the middle of the model and try to move the handles. TADA! Most of them broke now.

    I tried this on CC 2014 and CS6. Both do the same thing. I also tried it on another machine of people.

    Thank you very much for listening to my rambling! Thank you even more if you can help me solve this problem!

    It's all in how you use the tools. For rotoscoping, most of the time you will find it is more easy to use traces of Rotobezier but for traces of Bezier technique is basically the same. Use the pen tool to do all your repositioning. Do not add summits in the that you animate. Use Alt/Option keys and Ctrl/Cmnd to change the selection feather (black triangular arrow head) tool, group selection small white arrow (alt/option) to convert vertex. Feel free to use multiple masters to facilitate rotation. Do not hesitate to stabilize (no chain stabilize) the images to facilitate rotation. I also recommend doing your roto on a solid color rather than images. The solid color to multiply the value or screen sho you can see through it, and then use it as matte when finished. It is much easier. Check out this short video on the technique:

  • After the passage of a different program and vice versa, Premiere Pro will play is no longer the sequence

    It took me a while to limit this problem. Quite randomly, my sequence would not apply.  I finally reduced to this.  I hope that the 28/01/16 update should fix, but it didn't.

    Summary:

    -commutation of Premiere Pro to a different program, while a sequence is stopped and then backward, tilt will cause Premiere Pro is no longer playing the sequence.  .

    Follow this exactly to reproduce the problem:

    (1) create a new file with a new sequence inside

    (2) create a minute long clip of anything (bars + tone, color matte, text, etc.) and drag it into the timeline

    3-hit game

    (4) setback (this is important!, see below)

    (5) to switch to another program, either via alt - tab or open another program so it gets the focus.

    6) move to Premiere Pro

    7-piece struck again, sequence no longer will play is not the expected behavior.  PP must be rebooted to solve the problem.

    If you do not hit 'stop' to step 4 and let the sequence to keep playing:

    -When you pass on Premiere Pro and then return, you can press the stop button.  When you click the button new play things will work as expected.

    My configuration: win 7 + Premiere Pro 2015.2 release, build 9.2.0 (41), i7 Proc/32 GB memory

    My solution (sad), it of that if I need to go to another program for a bit, make sure to hit 'play' in Premiere Pro before moving on to another program and let it in the background.  When I come back I can play and stop as usual.

    Hey thanks, that the explanation is logical. "Mallocing everything in desperation" will be my new go to words to describe my state of mind sometimes.

    Fixed it!, but it was something else. :

    I tried to uncheck "allow applications to take exclusive control it" box and rebooted, verified that the box was always checked... but the first has always had the same problem. The stop/play button icon changed as you noted, but the timeline not yet played.  This led me on a path of futzing with different combinations of audio material.

    Difficulty of summary:

    -First, change the 'default' output to some other active sound output (even if it is not physically used), then change it back.

    (1) in the first Audio hardware preferences, I changed "Default Output" for "Realtek Digital Output" (which is enabled in my sound control panel, but nothing is physically connected).

    (2) I went back to the first, and he could still play the timeline after alt-tabbing to other programs and return.  There was no audio since obviously I have nothing plugged on my outputs digital.

    (3) 'Exit by default' Changed in first preferences Audio equipment Audio back to "Speakers (Realtek High Definition)", tried the stuff of alt - tab again and as if by magic it worked like the good old days (early 2015).  Even still, it still works very well even though I have the checkboxe "exclusive control" ticked off now (parameters of sound from speakers in the Panel).

    Notes:

    -I don't know if step 2 is required.  Things are working fine for me and no matter what I change, I can't do things in the State 'broken '.

    -At some point, in the sound control panel, I changed one of the outputs digital to be default, but that doesn't seem to make a difference at first. Whether or not this has finally made a difference affecting the steps above, I don't know.

    BTW, audio installation is:

    Audio is Realtek High Definition Audio, version 21/08/2013 6.0.1.7023 (hardware Audio first output by default is "Speakers (Realtek High Definition Audio)"

    I have a 3 GB Evga 780 also graphics card, but no HDMI outputs are used/activated.
