• Why "My Tom Tom" (GPS site) does not work with Firefox? I can't only get updates via IE.

  When I initially activated my Tom Tom GPS (Jan 2012) I did have a problem using Firefox. About 4-6 weeks ago, I tried to update the device and "My Tom Tom" wouldn't go with Firefox. After literally hours trying to make it work, I tried Internet Explorer and the updates took place without a hitch. Today, I had the same problem and after a few failed attempts to use Firefox, IE passed and had no problems. I don't know, but I think I updated my Tom Tom device at least once via Firefox and I think the problem some time after April 2012

  It is probably because you are running a very updated version of Firefox. I have a TomTom, and it works very well with Firefox 15.0.1. Try to update to that and then try again.

• Zire 72 and tom tom gps

  Can someone please tell me how to get the tom tom gps to work on my Zire 72.I tried too much Palm desktop 4.1.4 original and most recent version. I have install disk one he said to hotsync to complete and I get nothing, no icon Tom tom on the handheld? ... Is it because of vista?... anyone using these with vista with any success. I appreciate any help I can, I searched and I'm so frustrated I think to walk on my laptop to put me out of his misery...

  Thanks for the reply, I actually got the program working last night.the only thing that was missing was that you must remove and reinstall ther SD card since the Zire 72 after you download the program on your handheld, otherwise the TOM TOM icon willo never appear on the main screen. Vista seems to have a long fine with Palm Desktop 4.1 I downloaded... I bought the 72 as a refurbished unit and also GPS as a refurb, so the quick start guide was not in the box. IWAS able to tackle the problem after downloadind quick start guide online, the GPS works very well...

• Software GPS device

  I plugged the GPS sensor directly on the comp and booted the Pi (part 1, ignored as an option).  It flashes slowly red.

  There is no command 'gpsd' by IP connection that uses the path by default.  I made a find of the root and don't see any file/command named 'gpsd '.  Further, I looked for anything beginning 'gps' and found nothing.  Is not a "cgps" not found.

  So obviously something is missing.  I downloaded all files related to Lesson 3, but so far (homework part 2) I did not no instruction in home work to install the software on IP.

  Any ideas?

  Follow the steps below and check if it helps.

  Remove and reinstall all USB controllers

  To remove and reinstall all USB controllers, follow these steps:

  (a) click Start, click run, type sysdm.cpl in the Open box, and then click OK.

  (b) click on the hardware tab.

  (c) click the Device Manager button.

  (d) expand Bus USB controllers.

  (e) right click on each device under the Bus USB controllers node and then click Uninstall to remove them one at a time.

  (f) restart the computer and reinstall the USB controllers.

  (g) plug the device gps tom tom 630 and perform a test to ensure that the problem is solved.

  I have an old Holux M-1000 I try pair-to-use with my 7 stream.

  I'm trying to use the GPS feature in Microsoft streets & trips 2011. I connect my Garmin nüvi 40 to a USB port and it says "device not connected" when I click on Configure GPS. The USB ports on my work computer and I connect the GPS and use it to download/download photos and today I updated maps of garmin.com. It was no problem. However, Microsoft streets & trips 2011 is unable to see the GPS device no matter which USB port I use.

  Anyone know anything about this?

  Lovin my 8110, only a niggle - one of the main things I wanted this phone to was the GPS, but suspect I may have a defective hardware that the GPS never found a single satellite, looking for just indefinitely.

  Try refresshing to the Gps, go to menu, options, advanced options, gps, press menu again and refresh GPS

  Don't forget, you have to stand outside to receive the satellite signal

  I had a problem with the connection manager. Paupau has solved it for me. I thought that I had all the compatibility issues resolved. I noticed today that I have a small question (hopefully last). The connection manager told me that the GPS is not supported. I found a driver on the site of Toshiba Win 7 but it did not help.

  I just bought the software Garmin Mobile PC with a wireless GPS receiver. My computer which is the another OS XP manufacturer, who has the Toshiba Bluetooth Stack in it.

When I open the software so that it can find the GPS receiver, happening in Bluetooth Scan mode and just glue here until it times out with error message: "TOSBtMng.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close.   After the fact... I think if you go to "main Menu"... "'Help', you will see an option it ' exit the demo Mode", activate this box, and you should be good to go...

  The example you posted shows you how to acquire an RF signal on the ports of the USRP with internal clock RF and sources of reference defined in the GPS.

  To make it work properly, you must have a GPS antenna connected to the Terminal on the GPS device and installed in a place that receives a good level of GPS signal.

  The other control of antenna on the schema defines the port on which to receive the RF signal.

  If you want to capture and analyze the signal GPS (RF) itself, you can tune into the front-end RF (carrier frequency) at the right frequency of GPS band and connect your GPS antenna to the RF port.

  You can use the simple niUSRP EX Rx continuous Async.vi in this case (but may not work due to the very low consumption of GPS RF signal)

  I have been using Microsoft flight Sim X for the last month to help me become current once more with my real world driving skills that I learned in the Air Force. I am now using this Flight Simulator help me prepare for the tests of flying commercial to reach my license of civil commercial flight. I found this Flight Simulator useful enough to bring my skills to the height.
  However, when I try to use the Garman GPS device with this Simulator, I am not able to load and use procedures IFR arrival and departure . On the page 'button of procedures' of the Garman GPS, it shows arrival and departure at the bottom of this page titles but does not allow to load or select one arrival or departure from any airport.

  Don't confuse not arrived and departure with approaches. I have no problem using the procedures of approaches to airports. The Help Center for this simulator game [which goes into the details of using the Garman GPS] mentions that I'll be able to load the arrivals and departures and that it will be explained below, I have... "to activate an arrival or a departure follow steps later in this section. I can't find anywhere where it says how to perform this loading/activation of the procedures of departure or arrival.

  Arrivals and departures flight for professional pilots procedures is an essential to b practice skill. It seems that this Flight Simulator can accommodate the procedures of arrivals and departures, but I can't seem to access despite a careful search throughout all of the game literature.

  I would appreciate your help to solve this problem for me.
