Too little of the format specifiers.

Hello someone can help me format this correctly? It keeps giving me the error too little the format specifiers.

At some point, you mixed up of your string format and you put the string name. Wire directly your group name in the name of Group on the TDMS VI entry. And then thread the pipe name format string in the format string driveway. See here:

You must do this to 3 loops.

    Hello Wolfgang,.

    I have reproduced the error as you described in Debug64 configuration only. In the Debug configuration, the source location is specified, so I opened the bug 472987 follow. The problem seems to be in 2013 LabWindows/CVI.

    You also experience this problem in the Debug configuration? If so, could you please give a sample?

  • Scan of the file: path/data not in the format specified in double

    Can you get it someone please let me know why it does not work?

    It's just a piece of sample code, to write data in a txt file and then read it.

    First, if a file already exists when I want to write in it and I chose 'Replace the file', he says stop and double track.

    Second, if I write a new file, it says: error 85: Scan failed. The input string does not contain data in the expected format.

    Attachment VI.

    EDIT: see post.

    Just for reference, I solved it by using the match VI pattern in a loop and then using the table of indexes for individual values.

  • format specifier syntax - several commands syntax

    Hey guys,.

    I know there must have been a post to it, but I can't seem to find it. I have several slna (11) that need to be formatted differently (some are dates MMDDYY, some of the values 0,5555) and then written to a file. I'm using and that's why I need to format it. Here's the format specifier syntax that I use:

    %8.0f %4.0f %5.0f %3.1f %5.2f %4.2f %3.1f %3.1f %3.1f %4.4f %3.2f

    When I open the file, this syntax follows all values (and they are not formatted). I hope that there is a glaring error that can be easily resolved.

    (PS I tried every different delimiter without result)

    See you soon,.

    Tyler

    Hold on to your current code until this idea is implemented (if any):

    http://forums.NI.com/T5/LabVIEW-idea-exchange/separate-format-string-for-each-index-of-array-to-SPRE...

    In the meantime, you'll have to individually format the columns to have different formats.

  • specify the format of the cross-reference in read/write rules?

    How can I specify a cross-reference in the rules format of reading/with import xml document?

    Gary,

    If you want all occurrences of the xref element to use the same format, you can specify the format of an InitialObjectFormat rule in ESD or use a rule r/w in the form:

    element 'figref.

    {

    is part of fm of reference;

    format FM property reference value is "Figure."

    }

    If you want to use different formats and have a particular element to specify that one, you can set an attribute whose value is the name of format with a rule like:

    "xref" element

    {

    is part of fm of reference;

    attribute ' xref-fmt' is the formula of property reference fm;

    }

    In fact, if your DTD defines an attribute called 'format', default FM it uses for this purpose.

  • I was entering numbers in a table of existing pages and suddenly the formatting has changed and I can't type numbers the way I need too.  How to fix this?

    I was entering numbers in a chart in Pages to update the information and all of a sudden the cells do not have the formatting that I want.  It's changing the way numbers which I type them, and I don't know why or what to do?

    Hi Slf@LF,

    Numbers and pages are trying to be smart and recognize wht kind of data that you enter. If you enter something that resembles a date they will treat it as such. Some people have problems with serial numbers because programs to format their numbers and not text.

    View the data that you are trying to enter and how it's changed and we ca probably to understand what is happening to her.

  • Paragraph nets run too short under the text

    I noticed that when I select a net of paragraph to run under a text (instead of the entire column) it turns a little too short, if the text has been the subject of a follow-up. If there are no kerning or followed, the rule runs the width of the text very well. But soon as the text is stretched the rule isn't quite stretches all the way under the text. Is there a way to fix this? I have InDesign CS5 for Windows (version 7.0.4).

    Ed Hedemann

    @ Lilia,.

    Forced line break is special characters, too.

    But here's the good news. I tested your theory this morning about not apply tracking to the character and it works for all the alignment options, and he doesn't move to the last position of the character, so it is viable, in fact excellent, when it is applied by using the GREP style. So for the items (or any other paragraph of caterpillars who needs a set of rule less than the width of the text, and where the text is followed by a positive value) that you want to create a 0 followed by character style and apply it to the last character in the paragraph for help. $

    The letter spacing value should be added to the basic character format of the paragraph style:

    The character style should do anything other than assigning a value of 0 tracking:

    And that the character style should be applied as one Style GREP like this:

    No special characters and automatic comletely and the text can be changed at will, or formatting in the style can be changed and it will continue to work.

    Play well.

    By the way, welcome to the forum. If you want to learn more about GREP, and you should, as long as a teacher and an obviously talented user, I highly recommend Peter Kahrel O'Reilly Primer: http://shop.oreilly.com/product/9780596156015.do which is a real bargain at $9.99 and available in PDF, Mobi or ePub. GREP is actually not terribly difficult to learn and incredibly powerful (and the dialog box find/replace in the ID has the most metacharacters commonly used lists if you have trouble memorizing). There are a lot of users here who will be happy to help you learn the GREP, which Peter K, if you encounter a stumbling block and post a question.

    I'll also update my last night bug report to include your workaround solution. He could point the engineers to an easy way to fix the code, so none of this will not be necessary someday.

  • MacBook Air will not recognize Micro SD disk in the format exFAT

    Hello

    I have a new camera of Campark Xtreme (like a Go Pro) who uses a Micro SD disk in ex FAT format. My 3 year old MacBook Air does not recognize the disc in this format. But to reformat, I need to erase all the content on the disc. When I put the disc in the camera, the camera will not work unless I have reformat the drive for exFAT.

    My computer is 10.10.5. So my husband. We have the same problem on two laptops.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    The Mac can read and write to exFat without problem. The problem is probably that the card is too recent for the readers into your computers.

    Fortunately, a new stand-alone USB drive which takes care of these maps is cheap.

  • downloaded file too big for the flash player movie

    I downloaded a HD movie on my computer, but I want to put it on a Sandisk 32 GB flash drive. When I tried to drag it to the flash drive, it says that the file could not be copied because it was too big for the size of the volume. The site I downloaded the movie says something about the use of IGetter. I Igetter in my applications, but it does not open because it says it's a developer not identified. (This may be before Yosemite download.) Anyway, my question is, is it possible to download and save a movie on a flash drive?

    You must clear the disc in one format other than FAT32 or to segment the file so that the files are smaller than 4 GB.

  • remove the formatting of a document pages

    I'm importing text (copy / paste) into a new document in Pages. There are commands of paragraph at the end of each line, visible by clicking Show invisible characters on the view tab. When I try to format the text, I get weird results as simple words on a line. If I remove the descendant 'P' at the end of each line manually, which solves the problem; everything is as it should be. I tried to use 'Find and replace' but it doesn't work because it removes all invisible characters so that you get a long sentence without a space between the words. I tried to use TextEdit to remove formatting controls unwanted, as found in another link, but that doesn't work anymore. Any suggestions on how to do to remove all "P"? I have a document of 50 pages to reformat, so doing this manually is nuts.

    HI Dwight,.

    When you copy text from? I guess that returns were inserted by an application of text at some point editor in the process. If you copy a text editor, you can find an arrangement that will toggle between having and not having returns at the end of each line. If so, set it to "off" before the selection and copy.

    Is it possible to distinguish these additional returns of those legitimate by looking at the characters that immediately precede and follow?

    Back at the end of a paragraph should immediately follow a sign of punctuation; period, question mark, or exclamation point and should be immediately followed by the first character of the next paragraph.

    End of line returns should not follow one of these brands, except when this brand (and the space after it) come too close to the maximum line length to fit the word following on the same line.

    If you're lucky, and the record was produced by someone not wise to (or not to trust of) the ability of the software to add a space after a point, you can see that two consecutive returns have been used (as I have in this post) to create this space.

    End of line returns should not follow one of these brands, except when this brand (and the space after it) come too close to the maximum line length to fit the word following on the same line.

    Knowledge of these patterns can give you a method three passes for the removal of these statements of additional income by using find/replace.

    On the first pass, MARK returns you want to keep.

    -If double returns have been used, use two returns as your search string and two markers as the same string replacement. The markers must be a pair of characters that do not appear or do not appear in pairs, in the document. ' # ' comes to mind.

    -If you need to rely on punctuation, you will need to make a separate pass mark for each sign of punctuation that was used at the end of a paragraph. For each, the Find string will be markreturn and the brand of string replace. #

    This first pass will replace all the feedback that you want to keep with "#" (preceded in the second method of punctuation that should also be kept).

    On the second pass, remove all the statements that have been left in the document. Find the string: return the replacement string: a single space.

    NOTE: This assumes that the end of the return line has replaced the space that normally elapses between the words, at this stage. If you have determined that there is a return of end of line AND a space between the word at the end of a line and beginning of the next line, leave the box replace empty.

    CAREFUL directions: understand the space, then see the fourth passage below.

    On the third pass, reinsert the required return. Search: # replace: return

    Note that if your first pass sought and kept a sign of punctuation, you do NOT want to restore it - there was kept in the first pass.

    Fourth optional phase: one of the things I've taught students when we started using processing in elementary school was never press the space bar twice in a row. You need a space between the words, no space between a Word and punctuation after the word and a space between the mark end of a sentence and the first word of the following sentence in the same paragraph. This pass of find/replace removes extra spaces using find: replace two spaces: a space.

    Repeat this step as many times as necessary (until find/replace reports "none found" or a similar message).

    Kind regards

    Barry

    PS: This method can probably also be written in an AppleScript, who would have shot on the necessary measures and simplify everything.
