• Why 6 Lightroom opens more? I have not run updates

  When I try to open Lightroom 6, it gets stuck on the start screen.

  If I click on the application icon, it shows "application is not responding do not" and the only option is to force leave them.

  If I let it, it closes after a few minutes.

  It was working fine before, and I did not run updates - although I empty the trash just before trying to open it.

  Lightroom 5 works fine.

  Do you mean that you can't find the application in the 'Applications' in the Task Manager tab or that you don't find it in the tab "processes"?

  The process name that appears under the processes tab will be not exactly the name you would expect - and sometimes it's a bit obscure.

  What is the name of the program?

  What happens if you restart the computer - which should stop, unless it is configured to run at startup of Windows.  You can prevent this behavior if you want.

  The best way to stop an application from starting when Windows starts is to find the appropriate option or setting in the menu of the application of "Préférences" or "Options".

  Otherwise, download Autoruns, let it scan, see the 'Connection' tab, find the application and uncheck the box at the left end of the line.

• Can not run programs that require an internet connection

  My computer has been acting weird lately. I use the Zune marketplace and Playon for my PS3 and everytime I try to login or use programs that they say that they cannot connect to the server, or the bandwidth is low, even if I get 3mps. Even when I try to download templates for Microsoft word in the program or try to access my itunes store. I tried all the troubleshooting various tech support people have come to me as allowing programs on my AVG, disable my firewall, etc and even get rid of it completely but not luck. I use a 2wire modem/router with AT & T DSL and I restarted and reset the unit. My wife can do it all on his laptop computer so computer m. My computer did something weird to the other day, he could get on the internet but then I got rid of my proxy and still, it was nice but my programs don't always work. I also called my ISP and there is nothing wrong with the line, but when I use the AT & T self support tool that it says that there is a problem with my connection even if he does not show it on their end. It is also said that my line, DSL and Ethernet status is down all what that means.
  I am running windows Vista 64 on a HP Pavilion m9340f.
  I'm OK with computers, but not great, and'd appreciate any help there ' All can give.

• Windows SDK RegGetValue compiles but does not run program

  I'm porting software from another library that I have that uses native Windows. After writing a small test NI CVI 9.0 program, I found that the RegGetValue() function when it is used, translates into a program that does not work (will not yet be debug with an error on files not being is not in the path). Delete this single line and it works where it is supposed to.

  CVI9 programming interface Toolbox has a function to read the registry, but why it will work with the standard Windows SDK? Is it possible that I can get RegGetValue() to work as documented by MSDN in CVI?

  I tried including ADVAPI32. LIB and ADVAPI32_LVRT. LIB and no work (in the folder lib/MSVC)

  It worries me that the WinSDK is not compatible with CVI and I don't know where I can find this information on the compatibility.

  What operating system do you use? According to MSDN, minimum supported OSs are Windows Vista and Windows XP Professional x 64. The same paper suggests on Win XP SP2 to use SHRegGetValueinstead. You can also watch RegQueryValueEx statement.

  I'm running on windows vista 64-bit, and recently my computer started having some pretty serious problems with the delivery of the programs. With the computer running for not even 30 minutes, all programs that are running stop running and eventually switch mode "not responding". I can not even the coming Task Manager so I can complete the process themselves. I tried to run a sweep of /sfc at least 3 times now, only one of which actually finished finishing before stopping all together. If anyone can help not at all me run some other diagnoses to help find and fix this problem, I would be REALLY happy. Do not hesitate to ask one another questions to clarify any part of my rather poor description of my problem.

  Have you ever tried to delete the iMovie preferences?  If the elements of the user interface do not, deleting preferences frequently you contribute.

  Let's first try the easy solution.  ClickStart, type compatibility in the research field, and click the enter key. This will bring up the resolution of the problems of compatibility of programs.  Click Next and it make a quick check on your machine.  It will ask you to Select the program that you are having problems with, and then click Next.  Clicktroubleshoot program,then check the box forthe program worked in earlier versions of Windows...  Windows XP (Service Pack 2)-click, then click on Next. Click on the box forstart the program. He will try to open the program as if you were using XP. Once the program is trying to open, click onNext. Now it will ask if it worked for you.  If so, click onYes, save these settings for this program. If you clicked Yes, every time that you open the program now he opens as if it was running under XP.  That if it worked!

  Sometimes this method does not work.  For these cases, there is a new feature called XP Mode, which will install a virtual machine before you run your program in.  This feature is available in the professional versions, full and Enterprise edition.
