Tools menu broken?

TestStand (4.2.1) help it must be 13 options under the Tools menu, mine shows only customize them. Anyone else seen this?

Thank you

Under Configure > Station Options > tab preferences so that I can get my globals station in the same tree as my source code for the purpose of source control, I changed my cfg directory. When I changed the default preference for debugging a file empty .ini was written.

If this file is broken the secret is TS off before replacing the file of length zero with a backup, otherwise TS crushed him again during the shutdown.

    Does anyone have advice?

It is possible that there is a problem with the files that store the registry extensions.

Delete the files (extensions.json, extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini) extensions.* and compatibility.ini in the profile folder of Firefox to reset the extensions registry.

New files will be created if necessary.

    See "extension corrupted files:

If you see disabled extensions or is not compatible in ' Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions ' and then click the Tools button at the left end of the search bar to check if there is an update available compatibility.

If this did not help, then also delete the files addons.json and addons.sqlite possible.

  • How can I sort alphabetically in the drop-down list in the Tools menu of Firefox?

The Tools menu has a drop-down list, but the entries are not in alphabetical order. Options and a few individual add-ons/extensions appear in the list, but not in alphabetical order. It would be useful to them in alphabetical order in the list, however, I can't find any option to sort. Did I miss a hidden, built-in option for sorting? Is there an add-on may be providing a way to sort? Someone has an idea? I have not found anything this either in my research on the subject... just what is the sorting of bookmarks. But it's the combo of Tools menu I want to be able to twist. Anyone?

There is no built-in opportunities to change the menus of the application. The easiest way to do this is by using the editor from Menu Add-on.

In more recent versions of Firefox, the Options window has been moved in the Tools menu on the Firefox menu. Press the orange "Firefox" button in the upper left corner, then choose 'Options '.

You can also press Alt + T on your keyboard to display the Tools menu (or just Alt to display the entire menu bar). Or you can click on the orange Firefox button and select "Menu bar" to rekindle the old style menus.

  • Launch of actor in the Tools menu

I wrote a configuration tool (lets call him he asked ABC for simplicity) in the context of the actor for a very large API.  ABC has been designed/intended to be launched from the Tools Menu in LabVIEW.  For development, I ran ABC request directly using a development style 'splash screen' that I would run the project who owned the source code.  Start of my development has a gross pop-up that you select the VI you want ABC asked to act as he launched since.  As part of the final phase of development, I wrote a VI using the properties App.MenuLaunchApp and AppMenuLaunchVI to extract the VI to configure.

Here's where the trouble started.  ABC application works well and close as expected with any kind of strange when closing when behavior executed using the development start screen.  At the launch of the Tools menu application ABC is normally and allows me to run all the methods/GSM for actors without any hint of disorder.  Closing application LabVIEW ABC crashes whenever the launch originated in the Tools Menu.  It is very consistent.

I think from then on, it is that it has something to with the framework of the actor running in a private application context (LV dialog box).  I'm assuming that LV dialog box makes the assumptions that I'm breaking.

I have not tried a simplfied example again; but I would like to know if anyone else has tried something like that...  Is the creator of Message AF in the actor?

    LV2012SP1

My client does not let me share the code.

I have attached debug output in case anyone's interested.

I was able to work around this error...

First of all, I made a simple example and found that I couldn't reproduce the problem (no surprise).  I then started to accumulate the example simple until I realized that I had to have the actor opens his own referance to parent VI (the VI it is menu of the tool has been used) and do not use a referance opened by the start screen.  Even if the referance with the VI parent ref was valid for the actor to use when running it would break LabVIEW at closing.  I added the name of VI and the name of application service for data of the class of the actor and then used pre-launch init to invoke a method that would open up the VI of parent ref.  I should also not that enquing the method of ref VI open parent since the start screen always generates a LabVIEW crash at the close of the actor.

    Fun stuff...

If someone wants the chip as to why this happens, I would be happy to learn more.

  • Pass the current sequence as an argument in customize tool Menu

Is it possible to spend the full path and file name as argument in the Menu Tools Customize?

Basically, I have an external tool that works with a movie file, and I would like to call from the Tools menu.  It is a type of order, but I don't know what to put in the arguments.  I found a post where someone said to use '% FILE execute%', but it does not work.

In addition, if there are other available keywords, where is this list?

    Thank you.

    Hi Richard,

It seems that it is not a way to do it using the command type.  The problem is that you can't use an expression to specify the arguments for the executable and you use an expression to get the path of the current sequence file.

However, you can wrap your executable in a sequence file that has only a single step; the call of your executable file.  If you place a not executable call in your sequence, you can specify the argument as the current path by using the expression RunState.InitialSelection.SelectedFile.Path.

Add a new item in the Tools menu, and then select your sequence of wrapper.

    See you soon,.
