Toshiba 23EL933 read MKV files

Hello
Three days ago, I bought a TV from 23EL933 on Amazon.fr.
I tried to play a MKV file, but it does not work: the film seems to start but after a second, stop the file and I go back to the root of my USB.
Is the defective TV? What I send back to Amazon.fr, or what I make using Toshiba?
Please let me know.
Thank you.

Kind regards
Luca.

Hi Lucamarc.
The specifications state over the mkv files.
Check if the file has a senior standard FullHD (1920 x 1080) and it is bilingual.
I have a 32SL833 and I had to re - encode some.

  • Toshiba 50L7335DF: problems to play 1080 p mkv files using media player

    Hello

    _The facts_
I have problems to read files mkv (H264, AC3 5.1) 1080 p via the media player on a USB drive (USB is formatted NTFS)

The video begins and is OK for a few seconds/minutes, and then it becomes jerky.
    (the subtitles were on)

I also found that the menus are generally very slow on this TV...

I also had some problems with subtitles:
-they were not displayed on a single video (tested OK with VLC on my laptop ubuntu)
    - and on the other, they showed too fast, I want to say it have been synchronized, but they disappeared fast after displayed.
-one this second video, I got a few square character displayed at the beginning of some lines (maybe an encoding problem, I'll try to understand by myself)
    - And finally, the submarines are truncated at the beginning and at the end of some very long sentences on a single line.

    _So questions: _
-Is powerful enough to manage movies mkv 1080 p TV?
N ' matter what official NTFS support soon? (and don't tell me to FAT32... I know that the limitation of 4 GB, which is sad on 1080 p HD mkv...)

Try to make the subtitles is UTF-8.
You can use the editor like notepad ++ to choose the option to convert it to UTF-8 format.

  • How to read a file .mkv on 32EX550 led tv

I want to read a file .mkv on my new TV LED (32EX550), can someone help me

You can run a server on your pc like TVERSITY. For my part I use an external media player. Just so you know not to play all the files on all devices. TVersity a bridge well enough however.

  • Why can't Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2015 treat / read / convert MKV files? Is there something in my suite CC wonderous who can?

Believing that I had a video editor standard industry - "Premiere Pro CC 2015" - I just decided to edit some video files for a client and they just gave me a 32 GB MKV files. "" I can easily see on my system Windows 8.1 using the application of video - and yet I cannot open the or edit in Premiere Pro CC 2015 - the file type is not supported! Why not?

Is it possible that I can convert those MKV into a format that first can process?

MKV is not an industry standard. They originated as a container for DVD rippe format / Blu - Ray and the spec has changed many times. However, any MKV can contain multiple streams of video and data and it's nothing any video normal edition app will manage. You have to convert / extract the flow with respective tools. A search on the web can find you enough things to do this.

  • Update Firefox, now I get an error when you try to open the .mkv files, but not other video files

I created an html page of cinema at home with links to movies on my hard drive. I have two types of links or href = 'file:///C:/Media/movies/Looney Tunes/MainMovie/Vol 1 Disc 3/VIDEO_TS/VIDEO_TS. IFO' for normal DVD or href = "file:///C:/Media/movies/Blu-ray/Lorax/mkv/THE_LORAX/THE_LORAX.Title800.mkv" for blu - ray. Both have worked fine (click on the link and the movie starts to play with Media Player Home Cinema) for a few years until what I recently upgraded to firefox. The .ifo files still open as usual, but now blu - ray links take me to a gray page that says "Video cannot be read because the daughter is corrupt" with a large "X" over it. If I open the html page in Internet Explorer and click on the link, it works very well (blu - ray opens by using Media Player Home Cinema). Also, if I directly open the .mkv files, they play very well (open using MPHC). Thanks for any help!

Change your links to include the attribute type with the value of video/x-matroska . Example:

    <a type="video/x-matroska" href="file:///C:/My%20Videos/Cooking/Making%20Gingerbread.mkv">How to make gingerbread</a>

I also used to get the same behavior with files from web sites, when I had the extension of InlineDisposition installed.

I have a Toshiba 40BV700B TV. I also have a USB key with .mkv video files saved on it

Apparently, they do not like each other - any suggestions how I can watch my files on my TV... ?

Any help apprecited - thank you

    Hello

This is a laptop and a notebook forum options not quite sure if anyone would be able to help you here.
However, as far as I know the TV supports only a file format FAT32 your USB drive must be formatted in FAT32.

You can also try to convert mkv files to other formats like avi.
There are a lot of tools as freeware * SUPER 2012 * which convert these files.

  • 40TL938: do not play via Network Media Player MKV files

    Hi people,

    I just bought a * 40TL938 TV *.

    Whenever I try to access a * MKV * file stored in a + Network Attached Storage + device, I can't play.
However, the network device is recognized by my TV and I can easily access photos and other videos to the format, such as mpeg.

_If I plug in an external USB drive I * CAN * play a MKV file_, so I do not understand why such a thing occurs only with the connection to the local network.
In addition, I think, but I'm not sure that I could access these MKV files from the local network before the live TV software update.

    Does anyone have a tip?

  • 40TL938G: no sound playback of MKV files

    Hello

Last week I bought a Toshiba TV, type 40TL938G, and I have two major problems that bother me a lot.

Today, I talked to the call center of Toshiba in Romania.
I would like to tell me if the future this problems can be resolved or I will be forced to sell, because this TV does not meet my expectations.

So, the first problem is that if I want to browse the net on some movie sites and I can't really see, which is very, very annoying for me.

The Toshiba call centre guy told me that it is because the browser does not support the viewing of any movie, but does not seem right that Samsung, LG and Sony have solved these problems and Toshiba specialists not far.

It is a very bad publicity for Toshiba TVs and if my friends and my clients ask me if I am happy with the Toshiba products, I can only say that I am not really satisfied.

The second problem that bother me much and I'm unhappy is still once the package and TV features is written that this TV supports MKV files but nowhere and nobody wrote that support Toshiba TV MKV files but not sound because the sound does not work.

I tried to do an update of firmware for this model, but not exist.

It is possible quickly solve these two problems? If these problems don't have solutions, I'll have to sell and make a bad publicity for Toshiba products, because I'm THERE the dealer and I have a lot of customers and I don't want to lie to my clients on the defects in the product.

I'm waiting for a response from you, as soon as possible.

    Thank you.

    Best regards

    Robert

    > The second problem bother me much and I'm unhappy is still once the package and TV features is written that this TV supports MKV files but nowhere and nobody wrote that support Toshiba TV MKV files but not sound because the sound does not work.

MKV files are supported. But mkv files must support audio codec right!
Found the info in the manual (page 90)
    http://www.Toshiba-OM.NET/LCD/PDF/English/TL938-4046-English.PDF

    _MKV files.txt
    * Video Codec: * MPEG - 1 Video, MPEG-2 video, MPEG-4 part 2, H.264 (MPEG-4 AVC)
    * Audio codec: * Layer2 MPEG-1/2, MPEG-1/2 Layer 3, Dolby Digital (AC-3), L - PCM, MPEG-2/4 LC - AAC, MPEG - 4 HE - AAC

    > The Toshiba call centre guy told me that it is because the browser does not support the viewing of any movie
Sorry mate that you are missing some features but it turns out that it's a TV browser and it may work differently from PC browsers. The manual says that this browser does not support dependent on the platform of technologies such as Active X, and she argues that preinstalled plugins.
If the plugin flash isn t preinstalled you won't be able to watch the flash based content.

By the way: it occurs to me that looking to speak to Toshiba stuff sorry mate, this is a user forum and we are all fans here

  • Stor.e TV + - playing .mkv files have sound but no picture

I just transferred all my .mkv files on my store TV + but most of them have sound but no picture? They play fine on my PC...

Also, in any case to change the icon of the folder on the actual dvd cover on the store TV +? Sick to see the yellow folders!

    Thank you...

    Hello
Find the StorE TV + specifications on this page from Toshiba:
    http://www.Toshiba-multimedia.com/EU/store-external-hard-drives/TV-plus/

The Store TV + supports video formats: MPEG1 (DAT, MPG), MPEG2 (VOB, MPG, TS/M2TS/TP TRP), MPEG4 (AVI, MP4, MKV), VC-1 (WMV), H.264 (AVI, MKV, MOV, MP4), RM/RMVB (RM/RMVB)

MKV files are supported by the MPEG4 and H.264 video format.
Files are saved in these formats?
How about you play other i.e. MPG or AVI files?

In addition, I would recommend checking the connection to the TV.
Here is a user manual that I found on the page of Toshiba:
    http://www.Toshiba-multimedia.com/global/manuals/store/manuals/STORE_TVplus_User_Manual.PDF

It shows you how to connect the Store TV + correctly.

  • Y at - it a media player that supports MKV files

original title: support for MKV files

I have a large library of video files to MKV format and want to use the operating system WinRT to play.  I don't know a player in the store to play.

I use Divx on my Win8 system in desktop mode and works very well.

Anyone know of a player for MKV files (created with Handbrake using the H.264 codec) which would run on Win RT (IE on the Surface).  H.264 is apparently corroborated but nothing to play the MKV form.  I really don't want to have to convert my entire library.

I wanted to test what I did the following:

    X 86 (no - RT based machine)

    • Cut an avi of 700 MB to about 16 MB file to test
    • MKVMerge to convert from .avi .mkv on my x 86 machine
    • Put this new file .mkv on a USB
    • This USB plugged my camera Windows RT
    • Notification showed asking me what I wanted to do with the USB key, I asked to open the folder
    • Choose the .mkv file and was asked to go to the MS Store and there are seven apps that came on the list.  On the list, I chose the PressPlay video application (which is free) and I have read the file without problem .mkv

    I hope this helps.
