Toshiba 32L4333D mp4 subtitles issue

Hello everyone!

I just bought this TV and my major disappointment, I discovered there is a problem with the files mp4 video playing actually no subtitles at all of my USB. Avi & mkv files play fine although the conversion of all the movies in a different format or using embedded subtitles isn't really a sollution for me.

The question is like the one I found here: http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=76798&tstart=0

Also note: the question has not to do with no any utf8 and notepad ++ record as the subtitle is not loaded at all.

Anyone have a proposal?
I got very frustrated with this problem and I even plan to return the tv back unless I found a way...

Edit: Mentions Toshiba Greece in a facebook post that srt files are not taken in charge atm and "sub - .smi - .ssa." might work, but I also have tryied all of them using subtitle workshop without success... :(

It is really strange. I have two Toshiba TV and there is no problem with reading the subtitles.
In my case, each film is saved in a folder with srt (subtitle) file. SRT file must have exactly the same name as the avi file.

When I run the USB stick film began and subtitle will display correctly. the same thing happens when I do that on PC using VLC player.

  • Toshiba 46TL938G: mp4 playback stops after 2 hours and 6 minutes

    Hello

    I recently bought a Toshiba 46TL938G.
The problem I have is that when I am playing a video file mp4 from my USB stick always stops at 2 hours and 6 minutes.

I tried various usb and different files.
I suspect that it is a bug in the firmware. I saw here in the forum that another user had the same problem, but it has not been answered. Is this a known issue?

If it is not who is the right person to contact to?
I think it is unacceptable to not be able to see a movie when I paid a lot of money to buy this tv!

    Just buy Linksys EA-6200BR.

1 - device to update to the latest firmware.

    2 - device configured successfully.

3 connected WD My Passport 1 TB (NTFS)

    4. it contains about 200 GB of video files and SRT subtitles.

    5. I have a 4 IPAD, LG 49UF6900 (WEBOS 2.0) and LG 39LB 5800.

6 - PROBLEM: the videos in MP4 format do not show or read the SRT subtitles.

7 - the same videos MP4 on My Passport when it is connected to the TV normally play the SRT subtitles.

8 - the MKV format videos normally play SRT subtitles (when MyPassport is connected to EA-6200).

Most of my videos are in MP4 format, so I need a solution to operation of subtitle with them.

    THX in advance,

Is there a downside to just rename all .mkv to .mp4 files? Don't really know a lot about video codecs...

  • Series Toshiba 40RL933G - no subtitles on DLNA without transcoding

    Hi guys,.
I have 2 40rl933g TV. I used USB to play any good movies.
I install me a DLNA server, put all the parameters needed, but failed to play subtitles via DLNA without transcoding.

All advice if it is possible to play the media + subtitles via DLNA without having need of transcoding (and use high CPU :))

    Hello

Operating instructions (page 53), you can find this note:

+ To select the subtitle and audio language (* USB ONLY *) press subtitle to select you preferred language subtitles. +

+ Note: this function is not available depending on the content. +

In my opinion, this means that subtitles are available only to play movies from USB device and it also depends on the content you are playing

  • Toshiba 32RL938F: MP4 playback stops after 2 h 6 min

    Hello world

for the first time here and I'm subscribed to this forum just for the record I have a problem to read the files of my MP4 with an external hard drive. A single video file just stopped after 2 hours and 6 minutes (and it lasted over 2 hours and 50 minutes).

I tried to read these files on my computer and there is no problem at all.

    Can you help me?
    Thank you.

Here is the link to the result of the [Journal of MediaInfo | http://pastebin.com/NJSx4Msx] of one of my files

This happens with all mp4 files that are longer than 2 h 6 min?
I mean would that be a codec problem?

Would be interesting to know if this occurs by using different mp4

  • 47l7453dg TV subtitles do not work

    Hello

can anyone help with subtitles on TV 47L7453DG? What should be the format? I have the latest firmware installed recently bought TV 3 weeks ago, tested as well on the previous firmware and so far no luck, subtitles do not work.
I tested on USB, several movies with srt, txt (TM player), txt (micro DVD) - the two ANSI and UTF8, subtitles with exactly the same name as the film (except extension of course) in the same folder, you press the subtitles with no effect. Given that the software should be responsible for the management of subtitles I hope material service won't be necessary.

    What I am doing wrong?

    Any help appreciated, thanks.
    Greg

I would say 'found response' not 'problem solved '. This seems to be a * joke, TV for a lot of money and does not support subtitles for the most popular format - mp4. And of course there must be a reason because I can not find this as one matter for other TVs I managed. Maybe someone from Toshiba will enlighten me, especially why:

    1. There is no word on the subtitle format, and no word that mp4 subtitles are not supported in the manual of the TV?
    2. What is the technical difference/difficulty to support mp4 subtitles as for other film formats?
    3. What is the technical difficulty in support of subtitles via DLNA that Toshiba is not? (in streaming might deploy subtitles in the movie directly from the computer, so it is not supported by Toshiba, subtitles only directly on USB)
    4. the above has something to do with the TV sale to users to look at what you want to watch and limiting, for them, the other features?

I know where I am, it is toshiba forum, please delete this thread if you want, I'll open up further discussions on public forums of television, hope you sell a lot less TV by clearly and honestly tell people on your functions.

  • YouTube does not work on Toshiba 40WL768

    Hello.

I have a Toshiba REGZA 40WL768 and, since more than a year, youtube does not work.

I thought Toshiba would repair this issue with a new version of the firmware, but time has passed and I was check weekly to see if my software needed an update, but it says that I have no update for my TV.

One of the reasons why I bought this model was I could see youtube on this subject, and I loved.

Please, I see youtube on my TV? I don't understand why nobody has solved this for more than a year...

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

Please check your firmware preinstalled with the version of the firmware available and downloadable from this page:
    http://www.Toshiba-OM.NET/firmware.php

To me, it looks like the 17.3.24.12 firmware version is the most recent which is available.

I guess TV took in charge the service Youtube XL. But google
    Google stopped using YouTube XL-June 9, 2013
Instead of Google Youtube XL, you can use the link youtube.com/tv to enjoy Youtube on the TV
In addition, you can use the YouTube Leanback Lite: http://www.youtube.com/leanbacklite

Here, in this thread, you can find the details mode:

  • -MultimediaDemo - sample.MP4 (n00b) could not be found

Hello! I'm a n00b here, so please forgive the stupid question...

I'm trying to get the sample working MultimediaDemo, and I am pulling my hair out trying to get the Simulator to find the sample.mp4 file.

When I debug I get error: CAFETERIA: sample.mp4 is not found

When he tries to run: getResourceAsStream("/sample.mp4") (complete code below)

    My folder structure is:

    .. Mm2/src/com/rim/samples/multimediademo/MultimediaDemo.Java

    .. Mm2/src/com/rim/samples/multimediademo/sample.MP4

    Issues related to the:

    1. where should I put the sample.mp4 file so that it is? (I tried almost everywhere I can think of, without success..)

    2. where on a real BB the "correct" location corresponds to?

    Thank you

    Tom

p.s. I read the ref lang (below) and I still don't understand...

    getResourceAsStream

    public InputStream getResourceAsStream(String name)

Looking for a resource with a given name. This method returns null if no resource with this name is found. The rules looking for resources associated with a given class are specific profile. RIM implementation notes: this method searches the resource from the directory in which the current JDP project file is located. By default, it is assumed that this JDP file resides in the parent directory of the package of the current project space. Thus, the package space tree (for example, com/rim/PackageName) is added to name so that the search begins from this space package, that is, in the source directory of the current project. However, if the current JDP project file does not lie in its presumed location, the behavior above prevent the resource located. In this case, the user must add a slash (/) in the name of the resource before calling getResourceAsStream. This treats the name as an absolute path, which is compared to a tree whose root is the location of the JDP file.

As you can see, 3 (Comodo, Trend Micro and AegisLab) antivirus programs reported the file as * suspicious * / * Trojan *.

The file is the old version of the BIOS (v1.60), the most recent is v6.80. It is * not * digitally signed *. I accidentally it linked my laptop (I have the latest BIOS version already installed, so when I ran v1.60, it seems that there no install, just shown popup, something like "new version already installed").

    1. maybe that's just a * detection of false positives *. You can * GUARANTEE * this file is * CLEAN / VIRUS FREE *?

    2. if * virus * how * disinfect * my laptop? Do not forget that if it's BIOS virus I could eliminate it that by flashing the BIOS, but how when my BIOS of the laptop only comes with the .exe file (there no. ISO file to burn CD BIOS and it is not possible to Flash the BIOS within Windows, because I already have the latest version, or you know a work around for this?). Opening laptop is also impossible, because it is under warranty.

PS: I have already contacted the companies mentioned antivirus (submitted suspect BIOS driver file). I'll post their answers.

    > Questions for technicians certified Toshiba (I want to * official response *)
So please do not expect here to answer on the user forum.
Visit http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/generic/ASP_SUPPORT/ and you will find Toshiba SPAS in your country. Contact the closest to the ASP and tell them what you want exactly.

All available drivers are put to the test, but you can specify everything with ASP from Toshiba. If there is a problem, they can contact Toshiba and clarify this issue.

I'm 100% sure that you are not the first or the last person who has updated the BIOS with this version.

By the way: what model of laptop you have exactly?

  • Satellite P50 - B - internal error power after upgrade to Windows 10

After the upgrade to Windows 10 and after reboot, I got Internal_Power_Error and laptop restarts automatically.
After signing, get the same error of internal power and the repetitions of the process.

I contacted Toshiba Support and they did NOT have a fix for this problem.

The power driver should be updated but no ETA on when the fix will be available.

    Be wary.

This does not resemble Toshiba problem. The issue (error message) appears due to AMD graphics card driver compatibility issue.
This seems to be a problem with all computers with a particular AMD GPU.

Probably the 10 Windows take the old driver (catalyst process) is not fully compatible and the solution could be:
    -graphics card ATI catalyst unisntall
-updated the driver... (try to download the drivers Win10 for AMD driver AMD site)

You should be able to update the drivers for the GPU in right click Device Manager the GPU.

In case the 10 Windows will not find an AMD update, it must simply wait and use the internal Intel GPU that is part of the CPU. This occurs after the AMD/ATI driver has been uninstalled.

Especially not be able to get my Toshiba Blu - ray player to install.

Finally I managed, still haven't exactly how, but somehow, to install the latest version 1.0.0.5.70A.
The problem now is that the 3D feature do not always seem to work.
When I open a 3D movie, I get only the image to view side by side, despite clicking 3D button.

I tried to update the Nvidia driver (v290) to the latest version v314, available on the Nvidia for my graphics card, GeForce GT540M but whenever I get a message that the driver can not find hardware driver compatible. Eventually leave in the update files downloaded by Toshiba Upgrade Assistant I managed to install the v306. However, I still cannot install v 314, after the "system check" I always get the message that the driver can find hardware driver compatible.

However, 3D does not always work. I noticed that the face detection (SuperD Xtune) does not automatically start with the Blu - ray player when I start or open a 3D file to be read by the Toshiba Blu - ray player, it was.

How can I get my Blu - ray player to replay my 3D correctly.
If I open Xtune I am able to calibrate the 3D, and then it closes.
I don't see an app under all the apps that seem to have something to do with the face detection function.
Is there a setting that needs to be changed, an additional driver must be installed or what?
I'm really disappointed with the support I received from Toshiba themselves on this issue.

I also wanted to update the BIOS of my laptop.
My bios version is 2 December 2011, but I noticed that a newer BIOS is available from the Web of Toshiba site dating back to February 2012, if I'm not mistaken.

I downloaded but when I run it I get a message that my computer is not compatible.

    * Bleep *, it's frustrating.
I want to recover my 3D feature and don't forget to run the most appropriate and most recent drivers at any time.

    > Above all not be able to get my Toshiba Blu - ray player to install.
    > Finally I managed, still haven't exactly how, but somehow, to install the latest version 1.0.0.5.70A.

After the upgrade to win 8, you will need to contact the call center Agent for download of the Toshiba BlueRay player to win 8 valuation

    > Eventually leave in the update files downloaded by Toshiba Upgrade Assistant I managed to install the v306. However, I still cannot install v 314, after the "system check" I always get the message that the driver can find hardware driver compatible.

Cannot install the nVidia page graphics driver by running the exe.
If you want to install a driver from nVidia page, you need a folder that contains the driver to the driver files, and then you can update the driver through Device Manager by using the Advanced installation procedure.

    > I downloaded but when I run it I get a message that my computer is not compatible.
You will find on the page of the Toshiba UE driver BIOS v2.0
The update of the BIOS requires value-added package that must be installed before trying to update the BIOS
Also, the system driver Toshiba to win 8 must be installed.

If you will not be able to update the BIOS Win 8 running, you should try updating the BIOS runs only pre-installed Toshiba system Win 7.

  • Problem of warranty service

    Hello.

I own a toshiba laptop here in Greece and before 8 months my laptop had a problem and as a result I couldn't start. I have provided the local service center where they told me that the graphics card and motherboard have been destroyed. When I took it but I had exactly the same problem in like a month back, these parts have been replaced again. So far, I had the same problem 5 times (my laptop has been at the centre of service for more than 3-4 months tottaly).

So I tried to contact someone who is in charge there and ask for a replacement laptop since my laptop is obviously malfunctiong and technicians they are unable to fix it. However they said they would return me the laptop and I'm having a 100-300 Euro discount if I buy a new, so I wonder if the guarantee that I get from your company is: ' you have a problem with your laptop? no problem, you can buy a new one at a discount", they made 5 formats so far (I lose all my data constantly) and replaced the 5 motherboards and cards 5 graphics, I think it would be better for you if just replace the computer laptop, but is obviously not my concern.

I have read your terms of warranty on a replacement of mobile phone possible, and generally I don't think that my request is unreasonable (I mean if encounter the same problem for 5 times in a row is not a reason to replace what is). I'm about to make an accusation in the authorities to support local consumer association about it but I hope that this tactic of warranty is not what you normally provide in Toshiba and that this issue can be resolved without getting involved with the authorities.
Sorry for the post wholesale and the possible misuse of English. Can't wait to hear your suggestion-answers about this because I don't seem to be able to get a serious explanation by the local service.

    A not so well-treated customer

    Hello Gaszam

Sorry to hear you I have a problem with your laptop. I m wondering really your laptop was not fixed in the past. I assume that in this case that the motherboard must be exchanged.
I think also all other components of peripheral equipment (LCD screen, HDD, RAM...) are OK, then I really wonder that you have this problem again and again.

This forum is user forum so here you can read comments from people like you and me, and I don't think that all of us will be able to help with this.
Maybe someone from Toshiba will be read and try to communicate with you.

I really hope that someone will help you and in the end you will be happy with your laptop or maybe, you will get a new.

    Good luck.

  • External hard drive warranty

I bought a toshiba 640 GB external hard drive that was broken just before my warranty expires. (it expires February 13 so please would you before that!)

I think the problem is in the body because the disc is still spinning and the computer can not simply find the disc more. I tested it on another usb cable and on another pc so that isn't the problem. My problem is that I want to keep the data that is on it and want to have it fixed.

At the store where I bought it, they told me that if I said my warranty you Toshiba probably would replace the old disk with a new one, in which case only one old man would be destroyed and my lost data. It is a problem for me.

Is it possible to keep the old and get a new box all about my old drive or to get the broken disk, back after that assigned to toshiba, if I can try to secure the data on it? I could easily open the case and secure the disc to my cpu and I think that will allow me to safety my data...

Is it possible to arange this?

    Kind regards

    Simple Middel

    Simple Hello

Sorry to hear all this. Unfortunately, the warranty is probably outdated and no one was able to provide assistance here.
This forum is forum user and I don't think not anyone here can say with certainty how to handle this problem, but I just hope that you've contacted Toshiba service regarding this issue described.

    Good bye
