I found exactly the same info as you. Googling around shops PC offer battery (Li-ion, 9 cell, 6000mAh) PA3535U - 1BRS Satellite A200. If they all offer the same one I don't see any reason why you should buy this one.

    Hello

You mean that the touchpad no longer works?
Have you used the Toshiba Recovery disk to recover the device?

You use the latest version of the BIOS?
Please check this and if the latest BIOS if available, please update this

Well, it could also be a hardware problem
And in this case, the touch pad needs to be replaced

It is delicate and must be done by an ASP (partner) in your country

PS: the touchpad can be ordered as a local ASP.

  • Satellite A200 - Touchpad scroll function stop working after BIOS update

    Hello

After that I updated the BIOS (drawn from the Toshiba site), the scroll function stop working. I can still click, move the mouse pointer, but can no longer navigate the touchpad. Relocation of Synaptics driver is not the problem. The strange thing is that the computer detects only my touchpad as standard pointing device (port: PS/2) device. "Graph of pressure" and "Moodpad" function also stop working and complain "this program requires a Synaptics TouchPad, and the Synaptics Pointing device driver.

    Anyone know the reason?

    Hello

What operating system is installled and which is more interesting: what version of BIOS you have installed? Why I ask? Because there are 2 different BIOS versions, one for Vista (1.80) and one for XP (5.20) which means that when you Flash a BIOS XP on a computer with Vista installed then some functions do not work properly as the FN keys or the touchpad.

If please check this out and make sure you have the appropriate BIOS installed.

  • Satellite A200 - Touchpad does not work

I have a Satellite A200, I use a wireless USB mouse all the time. My touchpad to work even when I had plugged USB but now it has stopped working altogether. I don't find the location to see if it has been disabled somehow. Can someone help me?

My A200 is also turn itself off at any time while I use it. I read a few steps at the beginning that said it may overheat. I have my camera plugged in all the time and always have the battery as well. I leave also my phone on most of the time as well. I have notieced that the wind box side can become quite hot as is the area of the touch pad. Overheating would cause these two questions? Need some advice please as soon as I'm ready to throw Toshy away.

    Hey mate,

First the touchpad can turn on or off using the FN + F9 key combination. Check this box!
I also using an external mouse all the time but this key combination only works for in-house so it s worth a try! ;)

With regard to the problem of deactivation if could be a problem of overheating of course. The laptop must be cleaned periodically, and I do every 3 months for example because I use my laptop every day. I m always asked how much dust comes out if I clean it with a jet of compressed air. I followed the instructions in this document:

    Hello

You must install a compatible touchpad driver.
Choose the Satellite L500 on the European driver Toshiba page.

    Both must be installed!

  • Toshiba NB200 Touchpad not smooth?

I bought a Toshiba NB200-10Z this week and I am satisfied with my purchase, very elegant. The only thing is that if my fingers are dry the touchpad feels a little rough smoothly, by sliding your finger over it. But if my fingers were a little moisture on its fine and smooth to use. Everyone is faced with this problem? I don't think it's a problem with mine individually I think it's the texture of the touchpad.

    Thank you
    Ben.

    Hello

I never noticed this issue with touchpad surfaces.
If you are talking about the touchpad feature then I would recommend checking the touchpad settings in Control Panel-> mouse
Here, you can edit and assign different options that could help you make the most sensitive touchpad

  • Satellite A200 touchpad function does not properly

    Hello

I spent a lot of time looking for the solution to my problem, but without effects.

My touchpad does not work correctly. I mean, I can move the arrow and click on the screen, it's ok. But all other functions (volume, mailbox and other "virtual buttons" don't work)-the so-called "hybrid".
I am connected to the USB port on the mouse.

If I disconnect it, there is no change - the touchpad works only in basic mode.
If I change the double mode in the settings of the touchpad to "always in Dual Mode when an external device is connected" - and all the virtual buttons work.
But what do I do to make the mode of double the work even if the mouse is not connected (so that the power button works)?

    Thanks for any help,
    M.

I m a bit confused now and I don t know what exactly you want
You're talking about the touchpad, mouse USB, bi, etc..

I put t know what you mean with dual mode and maybe you should give us more information about your operating system.
And that you use the touch pad or mouse USB?

Can you post a screenshot screen or something else?

I put t know if this solves your problem, but have you tried to update the driver for the touchpad? You can find it on the Toshiba site.

  • Ramdom freeze of Toshiba ALPS touchpad on Satellite P30 - 135

    Hi all

    I own a Toshiba P30-135.

I experience the temporary freezing of the TOUCHPAD from time to time.

During freeze the mouse cursor cannot be moved for 30 seconds to a few minutes.

Gel occurs randomly, at least once a week, often once a day.

The latest driver available on the Toshiba site is installed.

Installing the software is clean without suspicious software, spyware and viruses (I'm a COMPUTER security specialist)

I've read about the two different stories from web:

    1. it's due to an electrostatic problem, and it is necessary to change the top cover on some models. However, on mine, the display had to be changed recently by Toshiba maintenance and they have changed the top cover, too, (which was corroded by sweat). The problem occurred before the interview and again after the interview.

    2. it is a 'normal' process by which software readjusts the mouse settings. I never found something Toshiba on this subject. However, I have never seen any PC any gel brand minutes before, and I can't find it normal as it can freeze during the phases critical.

Does anyone have information on this problem? and / or any information on how to disable the "auto-adjust" function if it is true and consequences? All standard driver able to replace without service?

    Thank you very much!

    Hello

I ve had the same problem like you sometimes on my machine (Tecra S5). Since I often use the touchpad, that happens during work and it s very boring.

What I ve discovered was that my hands are sweating when I hit some longer documents, sweat adheres to the surface of the touchpad and generates a kind of layer that prevents the cushion to get the 'touch' of my fingers.
After cleaning the touchpad gently with a kitchen not aggressively cleaning, it works like a charm and ceases to block for a few weeks until it s again. I think that humans cannot disable perspiration as a background Windows process. Would be interesting if you could check this, clean your pad and report if the pad works after cleaning.
It is also sometimes a good reason to clean the whole machine periodically sweat, debris and dust. (Don t forget the vents of the cooling system ;))
It s like the cleaning of your apartment, just keep clean and prevent some big SH *. :)

    Hello

I just got a new Toshiba Satellite (on Win 7) and have the same problem with the touchpad, change the zoom - I tried to follow the instructions above, but I don't have an option 'mouse' in "devices and printers"!

    Can someone help me please?

    Hello

I didn't know that the instructions had not copied in the other post.

Yes, the touchpad seems sensative v and zoom in and out as and when it feels like it while I'm on the touchpad.

Try this link of Tosh support groups, basically, it seems theres an option to disable this feature to zoom
