Toshiba HDD utility to write zeros to the drive

I have a big problem in my Toshiba HDD and I need a Toshiba HDD utility but is not. I'm sure a zero fill can solve my problem.

Other HARD drive seagate or wester digital provides us with DOS software to solve problems, but I can find a similar software for Toshiba HDD.

Can anyone hel me?

Hello

What HARD disk utility do you mean exactly?
On the Toshiba European pilot page you can find the HDD Protection Utility but this utility would work on laptops with a HARD drive shock sensor. So if your mobile phone does not support such sensor, this utility will not working and would not protect the HARD disk

  • TOSHIBA HDD/SSD Alert - do I need if I have my laptop on a desk?

Hello all, I guess my question is not on the HARD drive or the hardware itself, its subject the load or the process CPU usage alert hdd in my laptop. Fact it gives a heavy load for my memory?
Someone at - he noticed your laptop to be a bit slower when this option is enabled?
I know it's protection for my HARD drive, I understand that was a time when my laptop falls or is hit, the hard disk will fail and my HDD is damaged.
But how useful this app if I have my laptop on a desk all the time without danger?

Do you advise me to turn it off?

In general the TOSHIBA HDD/SSD Alert function must monitor the operating status of HARD drive and run the backup of the system. It is very useful, but certainly not so important, tool that must run all the time. It runs in the background, does not use the resources so and in fact there is no reason to stop it, only if you want.

    That recommend you?
In my opinion you should let it run. I have the Satellite P500 and it works all the time. I t n t n stop and I noticed a few performance bad/slow more laptop because of this.

  • Vista recovery disks do not display TOSHIBA HDD Recovery option

Back to school for 4 children with laptops is a pain, he seems to be constantly before wipe them and their establishment again.

Any ideas why the Vista recovery disks do not display TOSHIBA HARD drive recovery option?

I made a USB key and copied all the files from a backup of the Recvery drive to it. The USB displays the TOSHIBA HDD Recovery option but calls for the disks and will not run the recovery of the USB itself. It's annoying, but at least I can still use it to recover the machine.

    I would like to be

    the problem with discs

    or

get the USB key to retrieve by using its own files instead of asking for the disks. Vista was not created with the option to recover from USB, so maybe I can't.

HARD drive recovery option appears not in the advanced boot menu if something has been changed or modified on the HARD disk and the flag was removed.
For example, this may be the case if the partition has been changed, modified or if HARD drive recovery files or folder has been changed, moved, or deleted.

In case you want to recover the computer laptop back to factory settings, you must use the recovery disk

The commented DAQmxWriteDigitalScalarU32 also written zero to the channel, but the DAQmxWriteDigitalLines writes the correct data to the channel. MAX test Panel also records the correct data in the port. I really don't understand why this is happening if I need your expert help to point out what I'm missing here.

    Thank you very much.

    Lanny

    That's all. Thanks Brooks.

I have read the help file on DAQmxWriteDigitalXX and the format of data in the reference OR DAQmx and not to do so until now with your explanation. I guess the WriteDigitalLines throw me in a loop of thought DAQmx is masking and transfer of data to write the correct value in a port for other types of writing (and reading). A sample with lines and spots scattered around the port, as my case would save a NOR-DAQmx beginner like me a few days of agony. Well, we had the example here now.

  • Flash drive, write protected after the use of Ready Boost

I have a 8 GB USB flash drive, and I've been using ~ 4 GB for Ready Boost for quite a while now. When I tried to write something on the drive recently, I get a message saying that it is write protected. I tried to change the size of the cache, but has nothing - no error and no change. Tried turning off RB for the drive and nothing. There is no protection switch on the drive, so nothing to break. Tried to restart, refomratting the drive - no joy.

Only, I could get a new drive because they are so cheap, but this one has a MicroSD in it like a separate disk drive, so I would keep

    Hello

You can remove your usb flash drive write protection using the method below:
    a. open the start menu, in the search bar type regedit, and then press ENTER. This wil open the registry editor.
    b. navigate to the following location:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\StorageDevicePolicies
    Note:
If StorageDevicePolicies registry key does not exist, you must create it manually.
    c. highlight StorageDevicePolicies, and then create a new DWORD called WriteProtect (32-bit).
    d. double-click the registration key in the right window, and then set it to a value of 0 in the value data box
    e. press OK
Important This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. I need help wiping my hard drive, so I can sell my computer

    Hello

You can use the process below to completely erase your hard drive, but you must have your game that recovery disks to reinstall the operating system if you want to sell it with XP installed.

Download and install Killdisk on the link below - (this application will write zeros to the entire disk).

    http://software.lsoft.net/KillDiskSuiteFree-Setup.exe of

Download and install ImgBurn on the link below.

    http://download.CNET.com/ImgBurn/3000-2646_4-10847481.html

Access the application of disc kill you have installed in all programs, open the main folder, then select Bootable Disk creators, then the BACK Bootable CD Creator that will burn the ISO on a blank CD bootable.

During the following process do not worry about all warnings as your recovery DVDs will reformat the HARD drive.

Insert this CD into yout laptop. Close Notepad, and then start again to boot from the CD of Killdisk and follow the instructions on the screen to kill disk.

A brief description of the process here is Killdisk.

Use it to wipe the entire hard drive, Select (80 h) and press f10 (you will also need to type a confirmation and press enter) - ( This will make sure to include all of the partitions , and then start the process - this may take a few hours!).

When the process is complete, remove the CD of Killdisk, insert your first HP recovery disc and restart the computer to start the installation.

  • Utility Toshiba HDD Protection cannot be installed on my C50-A513 Satellite

I have a Toshiba Satellite C50-A513 running Windows 8 x 64. I tried to download Toshiba HDD Protection three times, but every time I download and then to install it, nothing comes. Once its installed, nothing does not appear. It's like the installation bar ends but no dialog to the HARD drive protection arises. I tried to search in under MATERIAL AND AUDIO Control Panel to check if she had been properly installed but found nothing interesting there.

Yes, I did download the right driver suitable for my laptop and that several times too just to be sure. Someone could tell me what is the problem with this and how can I make it work?

    Waiting for answer,
    Thank you!

According to specification specifications your machine was shipped with preinstalled Win8.1 64-bit so I m wondering what exactly you do.
Please don't get me wrong you have the machine with the latest version of the OS, but now you have problems with the old version of the OS.

Somehow, it is not logical for me.

In any case, I ve tried to check the download page for your machine on http://www.toshibamea.com/en/Download-Files but anyway it doesn't work properly. I assume that there is only a temporary problem so I can't check what kind of stuff is listed for download.
Out of curiosity but have you installed driver Toshiba system first?

    Thanks to everyone for replying.

    Hello

Recommend checking this Toshiba multimedia page:
    http://www.Toshiba-multimedia.com/EU/store-external-hard-drives/

Here you will find a detailed description on each HARD disk drive and you can download the manuals and technical data sheets.

But since this virtual drive is a special software of Toshiba, most disk HARD must contain this.

But I checked the link you posted your message, and the virtual drive can be removed from the HARD drive too.

    Hello

I didn't really know where post this so im sorry if it's completely irrelevant to anyone, but I have an Alienware laptop and they can not help me (I know what your what to think he done here then?) so I was wondering if anyone knew a software that allows me to check the Toshiba HDD for bad sectors and failures etc.

I used Hitachi Drive fitness test, but it will not help other that say there are critical and even with the seagate software, all mistakes two loading floopy. It would really help, and I couldn't find anything on the part of the customer support site. The answer probably lies with Alienware, but I can't contact them by phone right now...

    Hello

The easiest way is to use the Windows operating system error checking option.
Please go to the "My Computer", right-click on the drive and choose Properties.
In the 'Tools' tab you will find the error checking. Here, you can mark them automatically fix file system errors and scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors.
