  I just bought a copy of Windows 7. I ran the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor, and he recommended me to visit the Toshiba page, where I found the link to download Toshiba Upgrade Wizard to prepare my M300 Satellite upgrade to Windows 7. I tried to keep running for more than a few hours, but the Vista screen was still there, under the wording "Please wait".

  I tried to boot in safe mode and managed to enter the office. I was able to run complete the Toshiba Upgrade Assistant of safe mode, although I noticed that there were not any components that were required for the installation. Ethernet controller was strangely absent. Unfortunately I can't install Windows 7 in safe mode.

  Is there one solution other than to cut it down for the after-sales service?

  As much as I know Portege M300 is not covered by this program to upgrade to Win7.
  Am I right about that?
