Touchpad Firmware failed

I have a HP Pavilion dv6t-7000 CTO. Today, I decided to upgrade to windows 8.

I downloaded the Touchpad of HP and after executing Firmware update of the it, it says there is a problem while flashing the firmware. And now, as you can guess, my touchpad no longer works. I have installed 16.2.15.0 Synaptics device driver. When I try to run the Firmware update again once I get the Synaptics reflash error:

"A Synaptics Pointing device driver is necessary for flashing. "Please install a Synaptics driver version v15.1.6.0 or newer.

The touchpad does not appear in Device Manager, however, there is an unknown device and a PCI device listed in the section other devices.

I tried to reinstall the driver and everything but nothing has worked so far.

Help someone? Thanks in advance! Any suggestion is appreciated.

In fact I solved this problem by only a few minutes after this post. I didn't go into settings of windows mouse pointer and a pop-up box will appear offering me to uninstall the Synaptics driver. I have no idea how this differs manually uninstall the driver but yes click this checkbox actually solved the problem, while manual methods did not.

  • WRT310N Firmware failed and now I had a brick

Okay, first of all, it's my fault, and the router is a few years old.

I started having problems with my router disconnect and I have to restart. Today I decided to update the firmware.

Watch the Cisco site, it is said that if you don't see a version under the model number number, using the version 1.

I downloaded the firmware version 1, but after about 3 seconds after the upgrade of the router kicks back "Firmware Upgrade Failed".

Thus, suspecting that maybe I have version 2.0. I downloaded the 2.0 version and completed the upgrade. When he finished I got "Firmware Upgrade Successful" and I clicked 'OK', 'Restart', 'Reboot' or something like that was, button. Nothing, got good lights everywhere but no connection with anything either.

Tried the reset for 30 seconds, reset 30 seconds then unplug and then plug in the connection then give 30 seconds, then unplug and then plug and wait 30 seconds while holding down the reset button. I tried almost everything and nothing has restored this router.

The internet, ethernet port and wireless lights just Flash away. I even tried tftp image .bin for the router, but that has expired.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you

    OK, its working now.

I've done what link said to do, but because every attempt has failed, I did a reboot and that he noticed my ping was successful during the boot. I also changed my IP to 192.168.1.100 as it is the first available by default in a linksys router IP address.

I have no idea where the author of this article gets but 1.10 each new router begins at 1,100. Could be a typo.

So, the next time I tried. I started the tftp right until I plugged the router and about 10 seconds later, I saw good pings and poof a download successful.

    Router is now in action.

    Thanks for the replies.

My laptop worked fine on win 10 for a few months now. Suddenly two weeks ago the touchpad stopped working. I tried windows recovery, but it does not work. I tried to update the drivers of Synaptics (19.0.19 versions), no effect. Pick ps/2 touchpad manually in the installation of the driver, are the effect. Does anyone have an idea what to do? The next thing for me to try is remove win 10 and return back for win 7...

    Hello.

I am trying to upgrade the firmware on my WRT310N v1.00.4 - CA to the latest version available on the Web site, v1.0.07 build 14. But, every time I try and update the firmware, it gets 98% done and it remains fair to 98%. I left it sitting as this night, but it never ends. I tried several times, but always, it hangs at 98%.

Someone has any idea how to get around this?

    Thank you

  • WRT54G v1.1 firmware fail

I just went and updated the firmware on my wrt54gv 1.1 router and the router now goes and gives me a weird IP address, the 192.168.1.1 site is incorrect, the power LED flashes, and I reset in every way I can think of. I have downloaded the upgrade of www.linksis.com, followed all the instructions as well, and I can't help thinking that I probably killed him.

Any help or advice on how I can get the router running again would be greatly appreciated.

    Dnulho

I discovered how to make so that he could go back: press reset for 30 seconds, remove and continue operation reset for 30 sec, reconnect and continue to operate reset to refresh 30 sec 192.168.1.1 and it worked.

    I'm sorry to bother you

  • Tecra A4 - upload of Firmware does not recognize drive

First of all, my CD/DVD-R + RW doesn't write not any CD or DVD for the last 3 years.
Second - as always, when I get the toshiba on firmware updates, I tried to update according to the instructions, but I get the message not connected disk target.

I followed all the instructions again more carefully, but no use. I received today a new update of the firmware. and I can not always up to date, I get the message "Target drive is not connected.
    No operation troubleshooting? Help? suggestions?
This is the second update of the firmware that has failed. even the previous update firmware failed with the same error.
Another question: why only the updated easy to use? Its complex process even for the updates. Throat!
I was in a bit of hope that if I can update the firmware, it might help me to write at least CD now after 3 years... but even the FW updates do not work...
Hmm... any suggestion why I can't write CD or DVD?
I followed the suggestion given in my previous posts on the same problem of CD, but of no use writing finally! I would like to see the day where I can at least write a simple CD using my toshiba tecraA4. !

I only have an idea why you can't record CDs or DVDs
    1. the player is default
    2. you have Sonic DLA installed. If so, uninstall it. The program changes RW optical drives of a hard disk. This is why written CD fail. There is no way optical writing as nero or whatever you use.

  • Fake H710p PERC? -Firmware upgrade error

    Hallo,

I recently bought a DELL PERC's H710p to the address but I can't update the firmware or install the driver. I always get an error like:
    "No controllers present or detected."

First I thought that this is because the PERC H710p is not supported on a DELL R710 server. But after some research, I found something weird.

The reason why the update of the firmware fails is simply the fact, that the "SUBDEV = 1f38" required when updating cannot be fond. My 'H710p' has a different SUBDEV. His SUBDEV is 1f77. So my question is, I bought some controller "false"?

If this is not a 'fake' controller, what should I do to update my H710p and how to install the drivers?

    Thank you

Controllers H710 series have been tested and validated in the Dell only 12 servers (such as the PE 720) generation.   Further, check your H710p came from a Precision Workstation.  The following valid this information, which came from the file nocheck.bat for this controller:

    OFF @Echo
    CLS

    put the FW = 21.0.2 - 0002
    Set ROM = H710PAWS.rom
    SUBDEV = 1f77 set
    DOS32A = set / AC /NOWARN:9004

You will need this patch: http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19/driverdetails?driverid=CGM2K which is the latest available for this particular controller.

The controller may or may not work in your PE710, it just has not been tested or validated.  Good luck!

  • No Panel for touchpad

A lot of questions of touchpad with Inspiron 5558. At first he kept freezing assumes that it is resolved with chipset driver and IO for Intel hardware. But also note that this touchpad has no way to adjust the sensitivity, characteristics or actions. Each touchpad I've ever used has a control panel. Its nowhere to be found. In fact, the Inspiron 5558 lists no touchpad driver at all and apparently the Windows 10 list the driver as of 2006. Now I have two finger roll, and it does not OK. But even when I try and install the synaptic driver it says it installs OK but nothing really changes. I hope that someone can sound solutions? Dell support certainly had none.

Something wrong with this TouchPad. Only drivers that it accepts are generic Microsoft drivers since 2006.

Driver PS/2 and a driver of human interface. Yes, you get a function of the gesture, but I've lived a lot of freeze ups requiring a reboot and lack of clicks, to tap sensitive to clicks and sometimes a left click is registered as a right click. Interesting to see how if you're looking for support Inspirion 5558 per model / serial number you will not find the listed 5558? But I can't seem to find a touchpad driver listed for the Inspirion 5558. The only listed under mouse/keyboard to this model drivers is a Logitech Unifying receiver driver. When I try to install the generic Synaptics driver in indicates that it installs successfully, but nothing is really happening. My feeling is that the touchpad is defective and the identification for the touchpad firmware is missing. Technical support told me if the pilots do not fix it then they should replace the hardware. Unfortunately, I'll just return the laptop for refund.

  • Equium A60-181 more problems.

Well, I decided to update my BIOS to 1.90 summer saw questions
with firewire port, however, this has not cured the problem I ve
    met (see section flakey firewire...).
I'm not really all that bothered I put t need firewire, but it

In any case, I met another strange problem with my laptop. While
connected to the grid and with the profile, the value of energy savings

any attempt to wake with the touchpad had failed. I have
to move down the lid in the closed position to force her to run in
in standby mode, that's when I was using ftp to transfer files
above. I had considered to be a unique event, but that was up to the
same problem happened again with the latest BIOS.
anyone else had this same problem?

Also, there entry weird in my event logs that I wondered
    If someone could explain this:
\Device\ACPIEC: this embedded controller (EC) hardware returned

incorrectly trying to access the EC without synchronizing to the BONE.
    The data is ignored.

    What exactly is an ACPIEC?

    see you soon,

    Richard S.

    Hi Richard

The brightness of the screen, you can change using FN + F6 or F7. Check Please also the brightness of the screen in power management. Under Normal profile, you can set the amount of brightness for each level of battery capacity. There are four of them.

Check this http://www.michna.com/kb/WxACPIEC.htm. It is very interesting.

  • Turn on/off the touch-pad

    Model name: HP Pavilion g4-1317

    Operating system: Windows 7 64-bit

I want to turn the touchpad on or off. The cursor keeps jumping from one place to another and it is hard to type...

There is a small circular depression, I tried double tapping, as almost everywhere in the leftcorner... It does not work! How can I activate it extinguished/turned on? Also I tried to download the driver for the synaptics touchpad, it fails to download each time...

    Help, please...

Hi shwetz, welcome to the Forums of HP. I found 3 versions of the: g4-1317,I suspect that they have the same software available, I will use the "g4-1317AU" as a reference.

I really hate this behavior as well when typing on a notebook. Especially with my big gloves, I can't help but the TouchPad for the life of me. Your TouchPad software should have special settings for "PalmCheck" and "Touch sensitivity", which could help aleviate the jitter that occurs when you type.  On mine I also have Auto-desactiver the TouchPad when I plug in an external USB mouse.

Nevertheless, it should be able to be disabled. The instructions are in the "Disable the TouchPad" section in this document: use and configure the TouchPad (Windows 7 and Vista)

If you can't turn them off, you may restore the original TouchPad drivers using this method: use of the Recovery Manager to restore the software and drivers (Windows 7)

These are the correct drivers, if you want to download them and install them after you restore the original.
Synaptics TouchPad Driver. You will need to uninstall the restored, if she complains to you when you try to install it.

I hope this helps, I assure you that I have fought this battle before in my personal computer. I'm sure we'll get there, made me know how this turns out.

And you should definitely do that you have the latest BIOS 1.14 times and touchpad firmware 1.17 (assuming you have synaptics) If you haven't already.

Hi, I keep getting this error message pop up when I start my laptop.

With this problem I also have constant problems with cell phone freezing. The cursor still moves, but I can't click on anything or anything nearby. It just doesn't do anything.

Then I get the circle goes along like its loading then it freezes completely.

I have to hold in the power button to stop and start again.

It resumed the process time usually 3 or 4 and then the laptop works very well for a while.

This laptop in particular was nothing else problems from the outset. We bought new and if she had referred to the Shop 3 times for various issues.

The first being the issue of frozen cursor that has been resolved.

Second time was for the same reason as now and also the third time it was for this reason.

Nobody seems to be able to understand what is happening.

Why my laptop keep freezing up until I have to hold th epower button in to turn it off.

    What is the message above?

Thank you very much in advance for anyone who can help me solve this problem.

    Hello

So I'm curious to know if you will always get the error from the first post, after you have uninstalled the Acer portal.

However, further suggestions I have no based on the information you gave me.

After you have a blockage on the system and restarting, try to run this command from start

    eventvwr.msc

This will bring up the event viewer. Here on the left look in the logs of windows, system and application. Try to see if you have a warning or an error that happened roughly around the time of the system to hang. If you you can write here what is on or you can know if this is relevant or not in the system crash. But I don't know if the problem will be recorded in the event viewer.

Also, please be sure that you have installed the drivers latest. Especially the management engine intel.

Also make sure you have the latest version of the BIOS installed.

On the Web page, there is also a synaptics touchpad firmware, which should solve some problems of touchpad in windows 10. I don't know whether or not you should. You can check on http://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers in writing / research for your laptop model.

If all this does not help, you try to start in safe mode to see if the system crashes in safe mode. However, the experience in safe mode will be great

To do this, go to start---> click power---> hold the SHIFT key and restart press---> after restarting the list of options, select trubleshoot--->--->--->, the start of the advanced options settings and then restart.

After restart, select the safe mode with networking (press 5). Try to work for a while in safe mode to see if the system crashes.

Also, I see you have a lot of software installed from acer. If you do not you can uninstall safely abphoto, Acer, Acer agent Explorer Explorer, improvement of experience both Acer user and like many AOP framework (which serves as a portal of acer). I don't know what to say about the other acer software. If you uninstall some of the software I mentioned here, it is possible that some plans of power, or some keyboard shortcuts will not work.
