Touchpad on laptop 8440p

I know it's easy for some of you, but I have a laptop without a manual.  I can't find out how to disable the touchpad since I use a USB mouse.  Help, please!  I looked in the settings of the mouse... didn't take place there.

It was also a concern for me.  and did not know the name of the file. Gettin ' old. First learned about personal computers in 78 in the age of the dinosaurs and have used them since then. not good for good programming. just good to use and problem solving.

Anyway, thanks a lot for your help! I was able to fix it by downloading the driver... then joy! joy! joy!

  • Is there any robust recovery for TouchPad for laptop Qosmio?

I've only had this laptop the touchpad and already 3 week has focused and developed a patch of bright in the Center.

I think that, all in all, the actual time used on this machine does not exceed 30hours; This may not at first seem be a major problem, unfortunately for me, it's...

I am a professional photographer and the need to use this laptop on the road to upload images, I just took to display to clients, because of its delicacy, the touchpad area became super sensitive and even if I've adjusted is setting a milli second I let my finger on the pad controls causes I don't want.

I know and understand that the touchpad is part of the molding fascia which can not be changed, even if it could it would surly wear once again, I am just jump you guys can point me to some sort of overlay more robust I can adapt.

    Hello

There are a few different laptop Qosmio. Older have on touchpad very smooth surfaces. Qosmio G20, it's a little rough.

It will be very interesting to know than the one you have. Usually, each user should be very gently as it is very sensitive and it is not necessary to put pressure on the TouchPad.

  • Touchpad for laptop VGN320E driver

I have laptop VGN320E. I disabled the touchpad when I used it. I reloaded it with WIN 7 Ultimate. But I don't re - not allow the touch pad before that. I can't seem to find the right driver to get the touchpad working again. I installed the synaptics pointer control and thought that the touchpad driver. Is there any other driver I need to install to get it working again? I'm sure that something will do, but I can't seem to find the answer. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!

    Rockstar9280,

Please check the VAIO Control Center and then turn on touchpad device located inside the mouse.

    1) click Start
    2) click on all programs
    3) click on the VAIO Control Center

Thank you for your response. I tried to uninstall the driver and then start it again twice. Did not work. I don't know what else I could try. I tried the update of the driver later, and he said that the driver has been updated. It almost seems that the changes I made before is never reset. When I disabled it all first I went to Program files > Sony > Settings Utility Services > device VCCPointing > disable. Since I rebooted the computer, this option is no longer there. So is there a way to get this back? As a utility driver Sony, or something. Thank you.

  • How can I disable the Mouse / touchpad - Lenovo, laptop XP pro SP3

I want to disable the touchpad on a laptop Lenovo G530 with XP pro, SP3.
I always use a USB wireless mouse, but while I'm away from striking, the touchpad gets moved or dragged - send me to places that I don't want to be.

I tried the mouse settings in the properties panel of design, uninstall the drivers of synoptic and software Manager (they have just reinstall at startup).

I tried how hard (as usual). Please can someone tell me the simple way?  Thank you

If you have the correct driver installed, Fn + F6 must disable the touchpad.

  • Cannot disable touchpad on laptop. does not display the properties of inmouse

    cannot disable touchpad

    Hi hillarybell,

    ·         What I have

s of the brand and model of the laptop?

    ·         Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

    ·         What happens when you try to disable the touchpad?

Most laptops have a function key (FN) which can be used in combination with other keys for example FN + F2 or FN + F7 to disable or enable the touchpad.

You can also disable the touchpad in Device Manager. Follow these steps:

    (a) click Start, run type devmgmt.msc and press enter.

    (b) in Device Manager, expand mice and other pointing devices and locate the touchpad.

option c) right click on the touchpad and click disable . Click OK.

You can also consult the manual of the laptop for more information and help.

  • USB mouse has disabled the touchpad computers laptops

Please help my computer shows the touchpad works very well.  He's totally dead nothing, the two buttons and the touch area.  But the troubleshooting says his works very well.  I was annoyed with the behaviors of touch pads on my new (used refurbished) Windows 7 laptop aspire.  So when my daughter showed me this cute little lite Hello Kitty mouse for $4.oo I bought it.  It works very well!  But it's a laptop, we are talking about here, and having to carry a wired mouse (USB port) is a pain.

PS this laptop has 4 usb hubs and I'm not comfortable with my touch pad to extinguish them all recover because windows is like they are in the same. pluged USB mouse in the mouse port 000 what is enabled and works very well. What?

    Hi Ruth,.

I can understand completely. If this had happened to me I'd be really upset too. I can imagine how that must be frustrating.

What is the brand and model of the laptop?

Please follow the methods to fix the touch to the laptop options:

Method 1: Scan SFC Run in the computer

Use the System File Checker tool to troubleshoot missing or corrupted on Windows Vista or Windows system files

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833

    Method 2: See the article:

Mouse, touchpad and keyboard with Windows problems

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/help/Mouse-touchpad-and-keyboard-problems-in-Windows?T1=tab05

Method 3: Restore the laptop at the earlier date, he worked:

    System restore

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/products/features/system-restore

Note: When you perform the system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, programs and updates that you have installed are removed.

Please post back with the result. If the problem is still not resolved, we will be happy to help you further.

  • How can I disable the touchpad on laptop Windows 8 Lenovo

I did several searches and can't seem to find a way to turn off my touch pad on my laptop Lenovo. I recently updated my laptop with Windows 8, so I don't know if this has anything to do with it.

My computer laptop lenovo I had to install the driver Synaptics support pages of Lenovo to my Fn + F6 combination of keys to work & turn the touchpad on or off but quickly discovered that it reactivates each time it starts so I had to open the mouse in the control panel and Synaptics window, there is a big disable button that permantly disables once connected to this user account , but otherwise his license... which is a good thing if a problem at the start.

  • touchpad Windows laptop 8 erratic @# $% ^ & *!

Hi I have 2 laptops for Dell Inspirion same model same material. Both at the same time strange have the same key issues. The cursor behaves as if he's stuck in the glue, but it barely moves.  You can swipe your finger across again and again to move a few millimeters.  This can take 20 sweeps of a finger to move half an inch. The touchpad can sometimes go out on its own, but not always. Sometimes sometimes is to restart the computer help does not work. However, the laptop may not question for 6 weeks and then the problem reappears.

The laptop is about 1.5 years old. When it was under warranty Dell used a program called, "Click to Fix" which seemed to fix it, but since I reinstalled Windows 8. Click on repair becomes idle after the end of the support call.

If I plug a USB mouse into the laptop the slider works perfectly. If I disconnect the touchpad mouse fate sometimes is the question.

I've updated the drivers for the laptop including the mouse & keyboard set no problem.

In the Device Manager, select the computer, right click and choose "search the hardware changes.

    PJamiez, welcome to the forum.

You will need to enter the control panel to turn it off.  I don't know what we call the section, but it will be something like 'Pen and Touch '.  I do not use a touchpad, so I can't look to see.
