Touchpad Synaptics on L50 - B Satellite settings

Hello

I am havin problems with my synaptics touchpad. First of all, I think that the overall accuracy is not very good.
Most of the time to get to a specific point is not easy and I need to make adjustments that aren't necessary.
A likely thing of vagueness is the fact that the 2 click buttons are part of the touchpad and when you use u maybe move the pointer a little. Is there a way to exclude the touchpad buttons sliding and draggin etc. ?

One strange aspect is that I got the pointer speed (this is the correct translation of hope) high value and it's actually fast moving but when im dragging or moving objects in games or in graphics programs it becomes slow... no idea on how to solve this problem?

Previously, I had an old Tecra of 2010, but even if the touchpad was small I had no problem at all with precision. Maybe want to settings make things worse: P

What about all this. For touchpad work well, it is important to have installed the right driver. After installation of the hardware driver will be recognized correctly.
Functionality is controlled with different options. There are standard Windows options, as well as additional options offered as small application designed by touchpad driver manufacturer.

All available options allow laptop user make better touchpad own configuration. Touchpad functionality is tested, it should be OK.
All you can do is optimize touchpad functionality by using the options available. More than that, and as far as I know there is not some "tricks" to change something special.

How the touchpad works n some applications of third party games is not is to test check so if some game has an additional option where you can change the sensitivity of the mouse or anything else.

By the way: do you use the original pre-installed OS that you got with your machine?

  • Stucks L50 - A satellite in reboot loop

My L50 - A Satellite is stuck in a reboot loop. I put the computer off and drained the battery.

Whenever I have it plug in I see the opening screen Toshiba (with no invitation to press F2 to pass set up) then it goes back to the reboot screen.

I tried via a recovery bootable on USB but t does not work.

    What is there to do?

    > I tried to use on a USB key bootable recovery but t does not work.

I assume you tried to reinstall the original recovery image. It should work.

Enter the BIOS and set it to default settings. After that restart your computer and press F12. Choose the USB device as the boot device and try to restart recovery image installation.

  • L50 - A satellite - state of the power supply is lit, but laptop will not start.

    Hello
A few months ago, I bought a new Toshiba laptop L50 - A Satellite. He worked incredibly in all directions until about a week ago when it lights. He has been connected to the charger with the charging light but does not illuminate. When I press the power button, the small ring of orange around the button light turns on and will be so all the LED lights on the front of the laptop, as well as I can hear the fan and other work items, but the screen remains black. This has been the case for a little over a week now and at random, two of the times I tried to power on my laptop, he turned on and working but then after that be cut, it wouldn't work again. He has not worked since 5 days and since then I tried to turn it on.

One of my friends who knows a thing or two suggested perhaps it was the display that was defective and should I try to connect it to my TV via a HDMI cable. This seemed logical, so I gave him a test in the hope that he'd at least let me know what was the problem, but no fixed image displayed anywhere.

My laptop is almost always connected to the charger and an expensive cooling fan, so I guess that battery and components must still work most of the time, and I've read that this laptop is designed so that you cannot remove the battery, but I do not know how to in any case.

I tried a few different methods to try to start it as now the Start button / stop and the ESC key for 10 seconds, now back while pressing the power button and pressing the power button while pressing F8 repeatedly. But none of them worked so far.

If anyone has any ideas or a way to help, that would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you, Julian.

    Hello

The L50 - A Satellite supports a stop (hole) switch located at the bottom of the unit.

Cell phone is freezing, do not start or has a power failure, which cannot be resolved by pressing the button for 10 seconds (force shutdown), please use stop force switch instead of the main battery.

During a stop by pressing this button force, the behavior of the system is identical to unplug the AC adapter and remove the main battery.

    More details here:

  • Defective touchpad (Synaptics) and slow computer after extended use (memory leak)

Two problems have been caused with my HP Split 2 x since I bought it 2 months ago:

    (1) the touchpad works sometimes for a few seconds, while the touchscreen still work OK.

    (2) the computer becomes slow after a while of use (which varies from a few minutes to a few hours usually). The Task Manager shows 98%-99% of memory, most of which use (3.6 GB / 4 GB) are not paged memory.

I suspect the two issues are related to a faulty Synaptics driver, according to:

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/notebook-operating-systems-and-software/envy-X2-non-paged-pool-memory-l...

    and http://forum.notebookreview.com/razer/731374-memory-leak-synaptics-driver.html .

I did the same test as the second link with the same result: Open "Task Manager" (Ctrl-Shift-Esc), on the 'Performance' tab, select 'memory '. Note the value for "Non paged memory. If I move the touchpad, it increases to about 1 MB every 5 seconds. If I stop moving, the value remains constant.

I use the preinstalled Synaptics driver, version 17.0.10.9 (Sep 06, 2013) for 64-bit 8.1 window.

Everyone has the same problem, or use it without these issues?

I would like to know if a restoration system or factory reset may fix.

    FINALLY!

Microsoft has just released an update for Synaptics Driver, not thanks to HP which has not found a way to provide the possible Synaptics driver as an OEM update.

Update Windows Update to Sypatics HD TouchPad two days ago, but I would not be allowed to install as it kept then mainly in giving the 800F0100 error Code. After some research on the Internet I could find that an installation manual after the WU has downloaded the driver would be possible.

So I went to the Device Manager > mice and other pointing devices > TouchPad Synaptics HID > properties > driver > Update Driver > Browse my computer for driver software and shown the finger/windows/C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution/Download and everything worked like a charm = D

I have no more memory leak and now after SEVEN MONTHS I finally can use gestures that it was supposed to.

But I still annoyed gel problems which in my case is a dysfunction between the screen and the dock.

Just that you wanted the guys at Microsoft to know is the solution, not the HP that would have had if they have signed and put the driver since November last at our disposal. Blame it on you, HP.

  • Click left and right touchpad does not work on Satellite L50

I have a new laptop Satellite L50 CI3. However, it seems there is a problem with the left and right keys on the touchpad.

Right-click behaves like a left click i.e. it does not open a menu.

Left click cannot drag and drop, including when you use the scroll bars.

I reinstalled everything, but nothing has changed. Is this a common problem? Is this likely to a hardware or software problem?

    Hello

On this virtual path, it is not easy to say what the problem is here. Have you noticed this problem on there first day of use?
I mean when you start your laptop for the first time that it has original factory settings and everything should be OK.

If I just understand that there is some response when you use the touchpad buttons so that you can try is to set all the options of touchpad on default settings.

  • How to enter the BIOS on my L50 A k4W Satellite settings?

Help me pls! How to enter the BIOS settings? I don't know, and Google doesn't help me not =;)

As a first step, you will need to perform a complete shutdown.
    Here's a HowTo:

The fact is that Win 8 keeps the laptop but the unit carries out hybrid stop start up more quickly. Unit should be stopped in order to access the BIOS.

Recommencer start laptop, then press F12 to get into the boot menu. You can you find the option for the BIOS settings. You can also try with F2 at start up.

  • Touchpad and sleep questions on Satellite C50-A-1DV

I bought a Satellite C50-A-1DV for my wife and noted 2 significant 'features' that, to all purposes intention should be easily solved, but I'm damned if I can cure for her.

1 the touchpad (at least, I assume it is the touchpad) seems incredibly sensitive. Supervised, another workspace (Windows 8) seem to open even without direct contact with the pad. It's really very annoying, but it's pretty much within the limits to be able to live with it.

2nd machine is unexpected drops in a sleep/power saving mode. Now personally I have not met this when running through controls on it, but the pain in my ear tells me otherwise.

Anyone else experienced this or better yet have a solution to this?

    > 1 the touchpad (at least, I assume it is the touchpad) seems incredibly sensitive. Supervised, another workspace (Windows 8) seem to open even without direct contact with the pad. It's really very annoying, but it's pretty much within the limits to be able to live with

Changes to the touchpad can be applied very easily:
Go to control panel-> mouse control
Last tab device settings would offer you some additional options to enhance the functionality of the touchpad.

Take a look at this Toshiba HowTo doc on the touchpad settings. It should be useful for you:

    > the machine is down unexpectedly in a sleep/energy saving of 2nd mode. Now personally I have not met this when running through controls on it, but the pain in my ear tells me otherwise.

Well, you could disable or change the settings of the unique power of the Panel-> power options.
You will find the option for standby and hibernation

    Any help would be appreciated.

Touchpad on your laptop looks like on THIS photo?

Otherwise there is no dual-mode option and the touchpad cannot be blue. ;)

  • How to disable the TouchPad 'tap to click' on Satellite A200 - 15L Vista

Until mid-December, I got the Synaptics Touchpad ' tap to click on "disabled. Then it became somehow activated, the context menu item to change to gray and the properties of the mouse, etc. settings contain no reference to it. It was suggested that updates nui Windows somehow. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the drivers for touchpad both directly from Synaptics and on the Toshiba site, but it did not help. Aside from using the disk recovery and reformatting what can I do?
Toshiba Satellite A200 15 laptop (PSAE2E). Windows Vista Edition Home Premium.

    Hi Juliana

I also read on the Vista updates that affect the parameters of the touchpad for me it sound very mysterious
I thought about the same procedure of reinstalling touchpad driver.
But it seems this helps doesn t to get the click back features.
I think the recovery CD would be the last resort.

    Good luck

  • Reinstalling Windows 10 on L50 - B Satellite

    Dear friends,

I would like to reinstall Windows on my Satellite L50 - B 10. I do not want to reinstall through Windows settings or it will restore the software useless Toshiba and demos that I spent some time to erase me. I would like to reinstall it using a flash drive and hold mode with Secure Boot UEFI enabled.

I have a flash drive with 10 Windows that I created with a tool from Microsoft of the ISO original (obtained through Microsoft Dreamspark). My question is, can we change the order of boot through Toshiba system settings to boot from USB, wipe the HARD drive and reinstall Windows? It will start normally later?

    Thank you

You have my sympathy. Changing the boot order is not a problem, which is easily reversible. It will start normally then is a question you can answer only after trying to install or reinstall. I had win 8.1 and tried to install win 10. After six hours, I had a computer that did not go the Toshiba logo. Fortunately, with a lot of sweat and the use of the windows recovery disk, I returned to win 8.1.

I don't know if it was a recovery partition in the hard drive or the Microsoft cloud saved me. Make sure that you have a Microsoft ([email protected]), your password account and associate your mobile number to your account, that Microsoft can SMS allows you to check say you who you are and you say that you have a right to the operating system.

Have you checked all virtual scrolling options? Make sure that the vertical and horizontal scrolling options are enabled.
