Transfer of information "Pick" of MacBook

Hi all

Thank you for taking the time to read the next issue of Lightroom:

I use LR on a MacBook for the tethered shooting on site. During the shoot I "Pick" all the images I want to rework and provide to the customer that I'm shooting.

When I return to the office, I load all the RAW files of the shoot in my storage Bay, open LR on the big computer and start editing.

What lack us is information on which images I 'took', so I have to cross and 'Choose' the files again.

What is the best way to keep this info "Pick" when moving between computers? Is there a way to get LR to integrate this into the RAW file?

Thanks for your help,

David

You must look in a different catalog import and also file > export as catalog.

Instead of just copying the lines, select them in Lightroom on the laptop and file > export as catalog, ensure that the negatives are checked. This creates a folder with a Lightroom Catalog and all the raw files selected.

Copy this folder on your computer in minutes and do a file > import from another catalog. This brings all your raw files and all your work (flags, virtual copies, stacking etc.) in the general catalogue.

It's also great when you need work on the road and then to bring any change in the general catalogue.

  • Transfer of information from a .sparsebundle to Bootcamp

    Hey guys,.

A few months ago, my computer is having problems, and my computer technology store decided to uninstall and reinstall my OS x and Windows partitions. Before they did, I supported the two partitions on an external hard drive. The shop reinstalled the two partitions, but for some reason some they did not transfer all the data from my old drive bootcamp back on my current partition. My external hard drive has a picture of .sparsebundle that seems to have all the data that I'm missing. How can I transfer the information from this disc image on my current bootcamp drive?

You can open the sparsebundle on OSX? If so, check out the files you need on the side OSX, switch to Windows and copy the files of the side OSX to Windows (provided that you can see the files in os x Windows system).

You should not attempt a restore from the sparsebundle to Windows for your Applications, it will cause problems.

    Hello

Of course, you can use a USB drive, CD or DVD to transfer the data.

Or use an easy transfer cable system.

  • Transfer of files RAW of MacBook Air

I recently acquired a MacBook Air and am still getting used to him and iOS. I transferred a large number of RAW files from my camera to the laptop. Now, I want to move to any external drive to free storage. I am able to open and view these files RAW using Photos and also using DPP4 (canon photo editing) for RAW files are certainly somewhere hidden in my laptop. If I try to transfer those files from the library anywhere, they convert in JPEGs.There must surely be a way to transfer RAW files without any conversion. Suggestions, please?

Select them, and then export the original unmodified

But that does not reduce storage needs - do you want to delete the photos - it is not possible to remove only the original RAW

  • Cannot transfer files from iPad to MacBook

Personally, I understand better than anything else of directories.   I guess that when you connect the iPad to the MacBook using the USB connection - you cannot move pictures as you would with any other device connected as a drive.

    Okay, so what now?

I was with my iPad to take shots (my first mistake).  Due to the number of falls that I ran out of memory and it stopped everything - now I do not know how to remove the iPad videos and placed them on my MacBook.

At first, when I plugged the iPad for the Macbook using the USB I had an application that seemed to allow you to "import" - I did.  Or do I think that I did.   Where it matters to I don't have any idea.  Directories of meaning for me - but whatever the application is - I had zero indicating where the photos/empty went.  I've been good with that - thinking I could use the find command to locate my videos at a later date.

But now this mysterious request automatically don't invoke not himself.   = / I cycled the power on my iPad - with no luck.

I've heard that iTunes could be a portal for the transfer of files form an iPad with other devices.   I opened iTunes on my MacBook with the iPad connected - but nothing obvious jumped out to me (as a directory) that allows me to easily move these videos.

I guess I should buy some type of camcorder.

In any case - if there is a simple way to transfer files from an iPad to a Macbook (for example a directory) then let me know.  I'd appreciate it really.

    Thank you

Please understand that I want to say this quite constructive feedback.  I suggest a change in your way of thinking.

    silver_mica wrote:

I suggest that you leave the point of view of directory at the door when you work with an iPad and a Mac.  Apple devices tend to use directories to answer the question 'how', something is done.  But the "how" may change from time to time.

However, if you focus on 'what' to do (for example, move pictures to the iPad for the Mac), you'll realize the functions (applications) on both ends that manipulate your data.

On the end of the iPad, this app is Photos.  And on the side of Mac, that request is probably too Photos - assuming that your Mac operating system is up-to-date.

So, check in the Photos of the Mac app and see if your photos are here.  Absolutely, do not worry about the Photos app directories used to store these photos.  If you need to send them elsewhere, export Photos of Macs.

  • Cannot transfer a file PDF of MacBook for iPad

I have a MacBook Pro 13 inch 2012 running on OS X El Capitan, version 10.11.6. I also have an iPad 2014 Air running on iOS, version 9.3.4. I'm trying to transfer a file PDF of the MacBook to the iPad. However, when I try to use iTunes to synchronize a selected PDF file, the following message appears:

"Are you sure you want to remove the existing music, movies, TV shows, books and shades of the iPad and the sync with this iTunes library? Music, movies, TV shows, books and tones synchronized to [the iPad name] from other iTunes libraries will be removed and the items will be synchronized from this iTunes library. »

Message offers two options: 'Cancel' or 'delete and synchronize.

After having done some research on this question, I understand that the problem is that my iPad is supposed to be linked to a different iTunes library. In fact, however, my iPad has always been tied to the iTunes library. I guess that the "confusion", if you want to, is the fact that I recently changed my Apple ID because my ID original Apple gave me problems (the iPad was constantly asking me to type my password Apple ID).

In fact, my question is this: what happens if I click on "Remove and Sync?

All the music on my iPad will be removed and changed with all the music on my MacBook? I don't want to do. I have many, many more songs on my MacBook I do on my iPad. I don't want all these songs on my iPad, because of limited space on the iPad. (I put iTunes so that my music will not be synchronized automatically whenever I connect the iPad to the MacBook).

Or else I'll lose only PDF files that I have on my iPad, which is replaced by PDF files I have sync with the iPad? (After all, I will ask only the Sync system in PDF format, not another thing). I wouldn't mind this scenario too, because I currently do not have that many PDFs on the iPad in any case.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hello Jack,.

Thanks for your question.  I understand you wanting to sync PDFs of your MacBook Pro to your iPad Air.  However, how you've changed your Apple ID, the computer considers that you try to synchronize your iPad to a different iTunes Library.

If you have not backed up your iPad, I suggest you do that first.   Then, check what you want to sync on iTunes again and select "Remove and Sync."  This will replace the contents of your iPad with only the items you selected for synchronization of your iTunes library.

  • transfer of photos/Tablet for macbook 10.11.6

I have successfully transferred all my photos of the Samsung Galaxy Tab A to my Macbook via Android File Transfer. Problem is precisely that only the Tablet photos and NOT the 'albums' (with all their dates/places mentioned in which a lot of pictures have been confined) were transferred. The photos were taken from the "camera" option and all uploaded photos now appear under the name file title 'camera' on my Macbook desktop. How can I transfer all the photos of the tablet that includes photos in 'album 'I hope I have clarified my question so that the problem is clear?  Thank you!

  • Unable to transfer the iTunes of the MacBook Air for iPhone music SE

    Hello.

I have recently (April 2016) bought an iPhone SE. At the time, I used iCloud to back up what I had on my iPhone 4S for I can have my music, etc., photos on my new SE. However, since my 4S lacked storage space, a lot of my music was not stored on it, so he has not also transferred to my new SE.

Now I have plugged my SE (iOS 9.3.3) in my MacBook (OS X 10.7.5) and iTunes (v 12.2.2.25) does not recognize my iPhone. I can't add another my music from my iPhone iTunes SE and it is super hang me!

When I plug my phone into my MacBook and open iTunes (I already said "Approve this computer" on the phone), I get this message: "the iPhone"iPhone"cannot be used because it requires a newer version of iTunes. Go to www.itunes.com to download the latest version of iTunes. " Goaaaaal... you don't go to itunes.com and download to iPhone... So I'm stuck with a tiny part of my music on my iPhone and no way I can find to get more to transfer.

    Help, please! Thank you!

    Lucy

The message refers to requiring a version update of iTunes on your computer, not on the phone - you need to an updated version of Mac OS X on your Mac (10.8.5 +) and iTunes installed 12.4 above, to be able to sync it to your phone.

  • How to transfer music from ipad to macbook pro and legacy applications

Hello everyone, how can I make old apps and music that are no longer available in the shop for a new device? backups are actually more backups, but more like 'index' that allow the new device "re-download" your previous purchases. The problem is: if old apps, they are no longer in the store and music that was imported from the CD thank you!.

Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not that a transfer backup device and media has been planned with you keep a master copy of your media on a computer that is in itself independently supported against loss.  To use a device with a different configuration, you pass the old library from a computer or a backup directly in the new configuration, not the device to the library. Synchronization of media isn't a way, computer device, update the contents of the device to the content on the computer, update or restore the content on a computer from a device. The exception is media to iTunes Store purchases that can be transferred to a computer.

Redownload or transfer your iTunes Store purchases an iPhone, iPad or iPod to computer - https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201267 - 'this feature only works for content purchased from the iTunes Store. From iOS9 is more apps that now need to be re-downloaded directly from the store.

To transfer other items from an i-device to a computer, you will need to use third-party commercial software.  See this document in turingtest2: recover your iTunes library from your iPod or device iOS - https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3991 even this method can fully recover what you originally had in the library. For example, in order to save space during synchronization if you had converted music files at a lower rate, or photos at a lower resolution, it is these lower quality files that will pick you up.

If you subscribe to the Apple music, titles that are not part of the content that you have purchased or downloaded may not be transferred and must be downloaded directly from iCloud.

  • Is it possible to transfer pictures from iPhone to macbook instantly

Is it possible to take pictures on the iPhone and it automatically sends to a Macbook right now? that is: without having to manually use parachuting etc.?

For example, as soon as I take a picture on the iPhone (or iPad), it automatically sends it right to the macbook (or iMac) without having to "manually" to initiate the transfer.

    Thank you.

You can use iCloud photo library. I don't know how "instant" is, but it certainly keeps your photos synchronized between your devices. Please keep in mind that iCloud as p.l. has other consequences that may or may not be to your liking. See this article for more details.
