Transfer of the Favorites of Chrome?

I have an ASUS laptop and use the Google Chrome browser. Can I transfer my Google Chrome bookmarks from my laptop to my mini IPad? Thank you

Take your Chrome bookmarks and save them in a bookmarks HTML file. Then import them into Safari (on Mac) or Internet Explorer (on Windows). Then, in your sync iTunes, under the 'tab' Info, options choose to synchronize your bookmarks.

Export bookmarks from the browser in an HTML file:
  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. At the top right, click on the Menu.
  3. Click Import Bookmarks and settings.
  4. In the "From" drop-down, select the bookmarks HTML file.
  5. Select Choose file.
  6. Download the saved HTML code.
  7. Click done.

  • Favorites of transfer to the desktop from the laptop

original title: Try to have the "Favorites" on my desk mentions and even as my laptop on my home network

I have a home network where I share files between the laptop and the desktop.  I mainly use the laptop I would stress that the office is running Vista. the laptop runs XP

Here is the procedure to export/import the Favorites from one computer to another: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Import-or-export-favorites-in-Internet-Explorer.  NOTE: This may cause duplicates, so be prepared to remove them if necessary.

    I hope this helps.

  • I installed windows 7 from XP and reinstall Firefox. However, I have lost the list of favorites. Is there a way I can recover the previous the "Favorites".

Installed Windows 7 Professional custom in the required form XP. All the favorites were lost in Firefox and had to reinstall Firefox.
Explorers has maintained the Favorite list, I had to explore - quite different from Firefox.
Check the programs created separately by 7 to include the XP file. Favorites, registration is not relevant to the list lost on Firefox reinstall.
Question: Is it possible that I can get back the original Favorites listing lost when the 7 install, or is it 'gone with the wind "?

I have not read what is happening in an installation of XP to 7. You can find this file on your system:

    C:\Windows.old

If so, you can find one of these:

    • C:\Windows.old\Documents and Settings\your user name
    • C:\Windows.old\Users\your username

If so, your old given Firefox might be in there. To explore more, it would be useful to set windows to display the hidden files and folders. This article has the steps: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/show-hidden-files

    Then search either:

    • \Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profilesyour usernameC:\Windows.old\Documents and Settings\
    • Your username\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles C:\Windows.old\Users\

Here you can find one or several folders named random semi. Who has most recently updated content is probably the one you want to restore from.

    Bookmarks only

Go down the old bookmarkbackups folder and copy the last two backups in a location such as the desktop.

The restore feature will replace the bookmarks in Firefox by default (and what you added since the reset) with all like bookmarks. If you want preserve newly added bookmarks, use the first, export function before the restore, then the import function later. The following articles have details:

    Success?

    Complete restoration

This post has my suggested procedure to resurrect your old wide profile in your new installation of Firefox. Please note the use of the copy instead of move throughout the process. This allows you to try again if it fails somewhere along the way.

  • Favorite Windows XP adds each site visited to the Favorites list

An old friend recently swithced to an old computer running XP on a new computer running Windows 7.  I did a wireless transfer from his old computer to their new computer for him and everything went well.  However, he was unable to understand the novelty of Windows 7 and wanted his old computer in return.

Fortunately, society, he bought the computer of agreeded to a return and refund, so I did Windows 7 wirless back transfer to XP for him and then washed the new hard disk before returning.  Everything seemed to work well and was happy to have his old computer running again.  A lot of people more older don "t like oil changes, seems.

However, after three months had he told me something was wrong with his Favorites window.  Looking at it, I found that whenever he went to a favorite site had made a new entry with a tracking number.

Example, Drudge Report of in its favourites and every time has opened the site as a new link to the site has been registered. While his Drudge Report (1). Drudge Report (2), etc. until Drudge Report (67) all under Favorites.  It has been duplicated on all the favorite websites that he opened while he had accumulated about 300 entries Favorites for only 12 places on the Favorites.

I have never seen that happen before and that you can't find a reference to it in the help screens or the Forums.  The only thing I've done so far has been remove each of the duplicates individaully, one at a time as THS takes forever, and then another entry is regenerated whenever he visits a new site, so that it will never end.

The only thing I can guess is that, perhaps, its function of Favorites has been altered somehow duromg two transfers between computers. Anyone who is familiar with this type of proplem and have any suggestions on how to fix it?  Thank you.

  • Can't see the Favorites added in IE9?

I wanted to transfer Favorites to our new system (Win7/IE9) in our old system (Vista/IE7) through the registry files and actually did with success the other day with my dad used.

But today when I tried to do the same thing with some of my own, they appear in the Favorites menu even after reboot. They did not appear in the registry in place (apparently) (HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MenuOrder\Favorites\...)

There are a lot of other things dad and I did since then, none of them would affect the ability of these new additions to appear?

Everything you have transferred was the order in which the shortcuts appear in your ad - no shortcuts themselves.

You must copy the complete contents of your Favorites folder as well. -Look in your profile > Favorites

    Hi Sukritd15,

I solved my problem! I had uploaded a PDF of a Mac OSX book

10.7.5 with Adobe Reader XI (11.0.10) to another Mac OSX 10.9.5 and

Adobe Acrobat Reader DC (2015.007.20033) via Dropbox. The transfer is wiped out

all the bookmarks, including the Favorites button in the Navigation pane, because

When I downloaded a new copy of the PDF book features

has operated normally in Adobe Acrobat Reader ms.

  • Photos marked as favourites on the iPhone are not appearing in the Favorites folder in the pictures on Mac

I mark my favorite photos directly on the iPhone. When downloaded from Photos on iMac selected Photos "Favorites" on the iPhone are NOT appearing in the Favorites folder.

Apple forces us to use iCloud to operate? Because that I do not use iCloud and I used!

IF you do not use iCloud photo library, favorite sides will not be synchronized.

  • Simply use the icons in the favorite bar

    instead of titles

The Favorites are called bookmarks in Firefox.

Right-click on the individual bookmark, and then click Properties. You can abbreviate the name down to nothing. You can also put similar bookmarks in folders with names in the bookmarks toolbar. Yet once again, right click on the bar will again offer folder.

Everyone seems to know this overflow of bookmarks goes down to the right of the page, which is accessed through the rafters (double arrow).

  • I accidentally deleted the Favorites star, how do I get it back?

I accidentally deleted the star of favorites since the upper right of the screen. I thought I was remove one of the favorites that I had just created. (the small window popped up for me name the new web page, I needed to delete.) I thought I was remove it but the symbol representing a star disappeared instead.

If you have used right click > delete the toolbar, you can use customization feature to locate the icon and bring her back to its previous position. See: Customize Firefox commands, buttons, and toolbars.

If you have removed differently, could hmm, you describe the problem more in detail? In particular, it was a button built-in Firefox or an add-on?

  • How to get the Favorites after resetting my computer? firefox saved on the external hard drive folder

I had to reset my computer because I downloaded a sort of hidden adware that downloads new adware permanently, which makes my computer unusable. Adware ill-conceived, lol.

I saved the folder of firefox mozilla whole folder of files (x 86) programs on an external hard drive. I thought that if I just copied this file on the computer, my favorites would be sympathetic to it. all the Favorites are gone.

bookmarks are not stored in the folder of firefox? is it possible to recover? It's worth years of bookmarks I need for work.

any help is greatly appreciated, thank you. I tried the suggestions that others had offered for similar problems.

Your Firefox personal data is not stored in the Firefox program folder, but are stored in the Firefox profile folder that is located in the AppData\Roaming\ folder.

    • C:\Users\ < user > < profile > \AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\.

You can use this button to go to the current Firefox profile folder:

If you do not save this profile folder then your bookmarks and other personal data is lost.

  • How can I transfer only the music I want?

    Hello.

Our iMac iTunes is full of music for the whole family. How can I transfer only the songs I want on my iPod and my iPad?

    Second...

When connecting from my iPad to my iMac USB cable the iPad goes into sync mode and transfers all sorts of things on the iMac and gets things from him. All I want is to transfer my music? How can I do this?

Create your own playlists in iTunes.

Connect your iDevice to the iMac - in the main iTunes window select your iDevice - menu drop-down upper left box located to the left of the music-movies, etc.

You will see a list of 'Settings' for this device - select a tab and check the boxes of what content you want on your device.

Also in the Group of settings select 'Summary' - from there, in the 'Options' section, you have a few additional items to choose from.

  • Will not display the favorites bookmarks bar. Even if I import them or restore them. They appear in the menu fine bar. How can this be repaired?

If I open the bookmark sidebar, it is empty. If I use the menu bar, the Favorites are all here. I tried importing from Internet Explorer, but they still do not appear in the sidebar. I also tried restoring but they do not always show in the sidebar. After restoration and import, I see now 3 Favorites but that's all. I am also unable to delete these 3 favorites as 'delete' is gray. Also, if I try to bookmark a page via bookmarks in the menu bar, and I want to choose a different folder, I see 5 items down, whereas before I could choose whether to save the bookmark to a folder existing of my creation that was rained down. Is there a way to fix this?

Problems with bookmarks and history does not properly can be caused by a corrupted database places.sqlite file.

You can check for problems with the database places.sqlite file in the Firefox profile folder.
