Transfer playlists

How can I transfer playlists when moving to a new laptop.

When I transferred my library only my music has been copied into Itunes but not reading or audio books, lists etc. ?

You need to transfer the full library (by default, the file C:\Users\\Music\iTunes user nameand all its contents)-the symptoms you describe suggest that you only copied your media folder.  Your playlists are all defined in the iTunes ( iTunes Library.itl file) - including this database during the migration of your library ensures that playlists, play counts, ratings, etc. are all available on the new PC.

Playlists on a synchronized device should copy in the library when you synchronize the device. However, it would be a pity to lose the list in question during the test. See ImportDevicePlaylists for a script that can import lists of your device.

  • transfer playlist from itunes 12.4.3.1 on iphone?

I recently updated from the old to the new itunes.  before, to transfer songs/playlist from itunes to my iphone, I would create a playlist in itunes with the songs I wanted on my iphone, and then drag and drop said playlist to the device/iphone section on the left side.  the peripheral section flashing once, and the playlist/songs have been transferred successfully.

I do something wrong, because when I do drag the selection to the peripheral area, it has a + sign and in my experience, this means a suitable place to fall while "Drag and Drop", but when I release, nothing happens.

It is also unlikely that it is the wrong way to do it, as it's too simple and logical that this is not an option to transfer a playlist.

    can anyone help?

    Hello chrismcclain077,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community Support from Apple. I know how it is important to be able to manage your music and I want to help you get your playlists sync as expected.

The way you described adding your playlists by drag-and - drop them uses a parameter called "manually manage music and videos". Because you have updated recently, this setting may have been reset to its default value.

When you connect your phone to the computer and open iTunes, click on your phone icon to display the summary page. To the bottom of the page (you may need to scroll down), there is a check box for this setting. Make sure the box is checked and try to re-sync. If it isn't already, try activating / deactivating it off and then turn it back on.

  • playlists for transfer from one library to another on the same computer

I have 2 iTunes libraries, each in a separate iTunes folder on a single computer.  A library contained musical; the other doesn't have any content.  Also, I have 2 iPod classic I want to be able to synchronize separately for each library.  To this end, I want to transfer playlists selected library 1 2 library.  Is it possible directly on the computer?  If so, the best way to do it?  Otherwise, it seems that my next recourse is limited to manually synchronize playlists selected library 1 iPod 2 & then iPod 2 2 library, assuming that this is feasible.  Any contribution will be welcome.

You need to export the playlist with the music files to a location (your office for ex), and then import it into the second reading list.

  • Convert iTunes playlist .m3u playlist

So I downloaded my playlists iTunes from my old computer to a hard drive in the hope of transferring these playlists on my new mac computer. I saved all the playlist in a folder on my desktop, but when I click to open them, they open in iTunes with the correct name, but as empty playlists. I was able to transfer all my music on my new computer, but the songs that are in my playlists in fact do not in the playlist on iTunes.

I think that the reason for this is because all playlists are saved in .m3u, but the content of them is in .mp3 format, that's why I thought it would just transfer via automatically when I open iTunes.

For example, I have a playlist called Down.m3u bite, but the songs in the playlist are registered like this:

    #EXTINF: 170, no. better - better of Lorde/users/username/music/iTunes/iTunes/Media/music/Lorde/No - Single/01 no. Better.mp3

Basically, I need help getting all the songs in mp3 from the m3u playlist in the playlist corresponding iTunes.

    Any ideas?

You always have access to your old computer, with its intact iTunes library?  If so, the best way to transfer playlists is to transfer your iTunes complete (including your database files and media in whole iTunes library) folder.  Then, when you run iTunes on the new Mac, it looks like iTunes on your old computer, with all the songs and playlists.

  • Instructions for adding playlists to Clip +? Too many problems.

Hi, I had problems adding playlists to my Clip +. I FOLLOWED THE GUIDE STEP BY STEP and I have a playlist that has only 1 song on 13. I have somewhat the same songs in different playlists, but this shouldn't be a problem.

Then, I tried to make a new playlist. I've tried all the ways, USB modes and formats to transfer a playlist, and it NEVER shows in my Clip +.

If Sandisk, since you make it impossible to transfer playlists in the Clip +, what are the step by step instructions?
-What is the best program to use to transfer songs and playlists? MediaMonkey? Windows Media Player? Rhapsody?

    -Format playlists should be in?

    -What USB mode I'm in?

-How to add playlists step by step?

    * You should make a new firmware to fix this shitty transfer of playlist.

You may find this method using useful Winamp. Runs like a champ for me.

  • Media Go kind of Playlist

    Hello

Media Go playlist feature is not friendly at all. Despite this, Media Go is the only music library which is able to transfer playlists with success. That said, it should seriously implement a "sort playlist" function or "updating the playlist order". In Media Go, the only thing you can do is just to display to sort them (i.e. sort by artist/title), but the sort order is not saved in the playlist itself. It's especially annoying because I constantly update my library every month or with new songs and as the sort my playlist according to the title of the song then. Whenever I try to put the new songs in the playlist, it eventually always at the bottom of the list and never according to A - Z.

I hope everyone sees this or anyone in the forum that could suggest a work around for this problem.

    Thank you

    Thanks for the replies.

WMP has problems reading of characters not English so that I do not use it.

In any case, I discovered that if you want to sort by title, you

    1) click on "Title" and it will sort out in A - Z or Z - A

    (2) once sorted, select each song (CTRL + A) and just drag and fall back into the same playlist window (not the left column menu)

Yes, just in other words, select all the songs, click on and hold and move your mouse to a pixel.

  • How to transfer music from an external hard disk files the reader thumb

I have my music on my external hard drive and I have a usb input on my car radio (up to 8 GB), but I tried to transfer playlists of hd for the thumb without result. I synchronized in wmp11 but also tried to add files to wmp, but the files on the hard disk are staying to the format of the album and do not appear as they do id they are on my hard disk. is there a post hd USB RIP tab with drag and drop each song in a record high desk then copy of thumb? all the files were on my old computer with windows xp and it was much easier to use it. WTF.

    Hello knottywolf,

    ·         Have you tried to copy the files from the external hard drive to the flash drive?

    ·         What are the type of files that can be played by your car stereo?

    ·         After a synchronization of devices, have you tried to copy the tracks instead copy the playlist?

If you are not able to transfer the playlist directly from Media Player, you should try to copy the files to your external hard drive from Windows Explorer and paste them to the USB.

    Thank you

  • Fails to sync iPad Mini 2

. For three days, I was unable to sync my iPad with iTunes. It is very important that I do now, I know, I get a new iPad for Christmas and I ant to be able to transfer all the data and applications.

I plugged my iPad to the computer, and everything seems fine. I went to the music, verified content and playlists, proceeded to sync. I lost a bunch of playlists, I tried to recover. Neglecting everything, I went on the assumption that the catalog is corrupt. I returned to a previous catalog using Windows restore. Then I tried to sync. This time, he as much as in step 7: to apply the pending changes. They were never applied, although I gave it time; another day, I let him every afternoon. Nothing!

I returned to a catalog rain yet with the same result. So far, I have done this three times and am running out of options.

My iPhone still has these playlists and I discovered how to copy on the iPad, but this would not be a short-term solution. I am always faced with the problem of how to set up my new iPad via an iTunes that will not be synchronized.

I have not updated my iOS 9.2 devices, nor have I updated iTunes to the corresponding version. At this point, I think that would only add to my problems.

I'd appreciate any help you can offer. I'm frustrated!

    Thank you!

Sync with iTunes, it is usually a way, iTunes to the device. iTunes peut transfer playlists in both directions, but only when the device has been previously synchronized in the library. • All my playlists disappeared. I didn't do nothing, do not transfer files, playlists or synchronization..., just open iTunes

All my playlists disappeared. I did not do anything, do not transfer files, playlists, or synchronization..., I just opened iTunes.

It is said that my version, 12.4, is common.

Also I got a dialog box saying my pc had to be registered with Apple before accessing the music, but it's the same pc that was used, hung up (never mobile) since August 2015.

Music purchased last week appears, but none of my Playlists self-created 14 or more.

My pc is a HP Envy Core 1.7 processor 2015... decent.

  • How to transfer a playlist from old mac to new mac

I just copied a CD on my old Itunes Mac (because I don't have CD player in the new Macbook air). Then, I created a playlist with the tracks on the CD. Now, how to transfer the new list of reading old mac to new mac?

    Hello rbaenzm,

I understand you want to get music from a CD in your new MacBook Air, but you do not have a CD player.  Since you have already imported your CDs in your old (er) Mac iTunes library, you can use home sharing to share these files with your MacBook Air:

Share your iTunes library on your home network

If you plan to do it often, it may be easier to our SuperDrive Apple USB drive simply attach to your MacBook Air.

Your profile shows that you use OS X Mavericks on your computer.  If you update to OS X El Capitan and subscribe to our new Apple's music service, you can enable iCloud music library to sync your music on all of your devices.  Click on the links below for more information:

Update of OS X El Capitan

Join the Apple music on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac or PC

Music Apple Sync on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and your computer

With Apple's music subscription, you can access your music library on all your devices using the music library to iCloud. When you connect to Apple music on any of your devices, you can see your library in my music.

    Your music library includes:

    • songs, albums, and playlists that you have added in the catalogue of Apple's music;
    • music you bought on iTunes; and
    • music from other sources in iTunes on your Mac or PC, including the CD that you ripped and music that you have created yourself.
