Transparent background - layer shape?

CS4

So I have this great little form and I want to save as a jpeg with a transparent background so that IE displays a gradient around it. However, IE shows only a white background around the shape. My tile the shape layer is also white (not the vector mask thumbnail).  How can I export this form in jpeg format and with a transparent background that includes IE?

TIA.

You can not, you must use a .gif or .png of 24 bits, favorite gif file.

  • How to remove the transparent background of a circle shape

I tried desperately to create a circular logo of an icon in Photshop CS6. Unfortunately, I have to start with a rectangular background. After you have created the circluar icon I want to remove the canvas, leaving only the circular icon. I can't find a way to do it.

Everytime I try I get the shape of the canvas behind the icon logo.

Is there a way to reframe a circle? Launch a circular canvas? Help!

    Hello

As Charles said, it would be very helpful if you could post a screenshot. When you say 'rectangular background', do you mean the locked background layer that is in your layers panel when you create a new canvas? I posted a screenshot below.

If this is the case, you can simply remove the background layer. Unless you have an another background layer, this will leave you with a background transparent, essentially "withdrawal" of the area around your logo. Then, you would be able to save the file in a format that supports transparency (for example, .png).

Please post again if you want more details. Screenshots would be very helpful!

This happens when you are working without proper color management and PDF conversion honors profiles of the source of the embedded graphics. You must establish a good CM or remove all color profiles. Also of course check your transparency. It may not be black clean, after all.

  • Transparent background becomes white during the 3d layer switch off

    Hello

I have a project with 2 layers on her file. A background layer and a layer with a text on this subject. Whenever I have activate the 3d on the text layer view, the background goes from transparent to white.

You can see for yourself here, it's my source file:

    http://DL.dropbox.com/u/4241134/transparentbackgroundproblem.AEP

In the layer named "TextHere", activate the layer "3d" option and you will see the background disappear.

It's the most boring, I scoured the web for an answer and keep coming to court.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

You use the camera 'Before' by mistake. Switch 'Before' in 'Active camera' in the Model Viewer and you'll be good to go.

  • How to build a rocket with a transparent background

So I recently built a black stray light on bottom of a solid layer. There a lot of any apparent layers and pick whipped to the lens flare layer. It pulses, opacities and changes positions, she does all kinds of really cool stuff. I have a major problem, it is locked in the composition strong creation that it is a rectangular shape when they are imported into any composition. He draws up his ugly face when you try to use it by the edge top and bottom of the flare had fallen from top and bottom horizontal line of the rectangle. «I can't size the flare itself inside the composition, when you try to reduce the size of the rectangular shape of the solid is what changes.»

I changed the blending mode to SCREEN and ADD. I tried out of key with the key light that both were adequate.

Demand for this torch should be considerably smaller for animate around the edge of another animated object. Where the need for the flare to be as independent as a key on a blue screen that can be added to any composition.

I searched the tutorials of AE and nothing that comes close tutorial building a rocket in AE or solve the problem I found.

Adobe forums and creative cow forums with people trying to help him with this problem, but every question about it remains all the way back for 2010, although there are a ton of entry.

I'm more than willing to do it again if anyone knows a good tutorial to make a rocket with a transparent background.

The tutorial I used was amazing, and it seems not that there was a problem with this problem in his tutorial.

If you know FREE plugins that work with AE 2015 for flares or Unmults, I am open to trying this.

I followed the directions of Adobes to download knoll 3d flare plugin and should not be, I received the error at the opening. I also tried to download unmult-64 bit of mounds and could not successfully installed.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

I'm guessing that you're fairly new in After Effects for keeps is pretty simple.  As learn you more you will find all kinds of complexities to make things easier and better to work with.  Take tips from Rick above and use part of the resources to begin.

In the picture above, slide A and B are which I assume that you are doing right now.  Solid Lens Flare applied was related to another layer, making the solid with passage of the torch in synchronization with the layer (in my example, a small solid yellow.)  The problem is that the rocket falls on solid boundaries, then at the edge of the round is cut when the solid is not filling the frame.

In the example C and D, I used a sample single whip expression to bind the Flare Center of the plugin setting flared to the position of the solid yellow.  Doing it this way has two advantages: solid never moves, so the flare gets cut ever on the edges; and the rounded looks more like a real life lens flare, because the different elements of the flare shift and change depending on the position of the light source, defined by the center of Flare.

I posted a project file with these two examples and a simple 3D so version.  The plugin after effects Lens Flare standard is very simple, without a scale parameter, so it does not really too well in 3D.  There are a number of advanced plugins Lens Flare to third, the most common being the video Copilot optical Lens Flare, but these come at a cost, of course.

  • Addition of form with Transparent background

I wanted to add a shape with a transparent background. Whenever I have add a new form, the background is white.

The thumbnail shows a white background:

The goal is to have this:

Ok! I cycled to the castle of the team, because I was curious to know what the answer proved to be. Under the influence of caffeine, I see that I missed yesterday...

Your second screenshot shows a file using the traditional layers panel:

Shape layers have transparent backgrounds, indicated by the checkerboard (^^ and I threw the bottom layer to accentuate the effect of checkerboard).

The first screenshot shows that you are using a work plan (which is fairly new for us all). Within a plan of work, the background appears blank, but when I add a second form of report to the first, you can see that it is actually transparent.

As a final check, I place the above .psd file in InDesign and placed on a colored background. It is transparent.

It was all just an illusion!

  • Transparent background back to white on save

I'll get right to the point. I can use one of the "stuff" that I learned to turn a white background in a transparent; previously, I used to be able to save the image under any type of image format (JPG, TIFF, etc.), and the background transparent would remain. As of today, I save an image with a transparent background, and the background immediately reverts to white. What has changed? What I am doing wrong? And above all, how can I fix? I am so angry!

Here is a way I used to change a white background to transparent:

    1. open the image in PS CC.

2 duplicate the image and get trash the original layer; This opens the layer.

    3. in the double layer (only one left), use the Magic Eraser to make transparent white background.

Here's another way, I used to change a white background to transparent:

    1. open the image in PS CC.

2 duplicate the image and get trash the original layer; This opens the layer.

    3. go to layer > layer Style > blending Options.

    4. under 'Blend if', slide it ' this layer: "cursor to that all white becomes transparent, without compromising the actual image.

    5. click on OK.

Using one of these methods, if I save the image under a non-rast image (JPG, TIFF, etc.), the transparent background back to white! Extremely frustrating. I must point out several facts about my use of the PS CC:

    a. I'm * brand * new PS CC; I used it for a little less than a month.

    b. I use PS CC on Windows 7 Pro.

    c. I rebooted my PC and restarted PS CC. Several times.

    d. the problem above has never happened until today. Before, I was able to save the image under a rasterized shape and the transparent background remained. Not so much anymore.

    e. I * can * save the image as an image PS CC (*.psd) and remains the background transparent. This does not help, as most of the programs that I am paid to use in my daily work do not import * images psd.

The search for an answer direct and helpful from a well informed guru.

Best regards and thank you for your attention,

    William

    Hello William,.

If you need to preserve trasparences in another program, I suggest you use the PNG, transparency should be recognized. What program you need to import the image in?

  • Titles with transparent background - how? PE-10

    Hello

When I do a title it shows clear transparent on my video-photo - as you wish - in the preview window.

When sharing this video the title background black and the background video-image is not visible.

    I am perhaps doing wrong?

    Kind regards

    Koen

When you have a title or a video Clip on another element, another way to do the Fade Out is to add a Dip - in-black to the top tether, or title. Who will have the entire black screen. Many Transitions, such as crossfade and Dip - to-black may be unilateral or bilateral. As Dip - to-black will take the upper part (more Video Track) Clip to the black, which will do the same for the Clips below.

In your screen-cap, the title is in the Source monitor, which is most often used to trim a Clip, or a title. This Clip, or a title, takes over in the monitor Source by Dlb-clicking on it in the project Panel or in the case of a video Clip on the timeline. To load the title in the Titler (construction of the Panel title), it would be Dbl Click on it in the Timeline. Titration module is where it creates or changes the titles, and it has a set of tools along the right, but a Panel of Styles.

How did you create your title? If done module titration and you did not use all forms, she should have a transparent background. If the title has been created, it may, or may not, with a transparent background. Say that you create your title in Photoshop, or PSElements, on a black background, rather than with a transparent Background (note italic, as they refer to the lowest in a PS Image layer), then the title is black opaque and lacks transparency. That's why I ask how and where the title has been created.

Pre, assets stacked above the others in the video tracks in the Timeline, are just like sheets of acetate, or like the layers in PS and will cover everything below, unless there are "holes" in the superior asset, or transparency. Unfortunately, it may look a little confused in the Meadow, that transparency is not displayed in the same way as with the PS, which, by default, displays a gray/white checkered pattern. In the pre, it will show as not black, although it is transparent - no motive checkerboard - just nothing, so we see it in the dark.

With the titration module, the background is transparent, until something is added to it, to give it a certain opacity, as Type, shape or the work. With an image editing program, this context are usually opaque, unless steps are taken to create with a transparent background and then stores it in a format that supports transparency, PSD, PNG, etc... Most of the image formats do not support transparency.

Let us know just a little more on your title, and where and how it was created.

    Good luck

  • Transparent background

    I designed a T-shirt a T-shirt and I have a problam with the background of the image.

the design looks like with transparent background http://i976.photobucket.com/albums/ae241/asafv8/BR%20shirt_zpsfwnngfym.png

Obviously, I need the blue parts to be the exact same color as the shirt I'm going to print on, and it will not always blue.

so I need to find a way of to get rid of the blue pieces and make them transparent, but I also need to keep this good transition between the pink part for the transparent parts.

No idea how I can do?

    http://i976.Photobucket.com/albums/ae241/asafv8/BR%20shirt%20WM_zpsscp5gsyk.jpg

Select > color range that can help you to choose the blue without being too harsh when it goes into other colors.

    Quick way to do it:

    • Select > color range. Choose a higher blur and don't forget to add to the sample. (Looks like a pipette with a sign +.) Click on the blue on your document.
    • Invert the selection using Ctrl/Cmd + SHIFT + I. (It's an 'I' as in, "India".)
    • Click the layer mask in the layers panel.

It might take some time, experimentation and patience to get it right but it should work.

  • Transparent background on video watermark

    Support team good day!

    I have this problem:

I am recording video watermark, with a transparent background, use more videos, I'm editing on the iPad. Adobe first Clip has the watermark feature, but I find failed to save the video file (initially .mov) in the proper format so that CC and Clip, to be interpreted as a clear background.

This action is possible, and how should I go to work to achieve this?

I posted the same question in the thread below, as I was looking for similar question already asked the nearest:

Re: transparent background becomes white on save. Any ideas? Trying to create a watermark for copyrite layer image

    Hi Meri,

Leave your post, looks like you are wanting to create a .png sequence or alpha .mov file. Is this correct? The watermark in the first Clip feature only supports an image fixed .png.

Let me know what you are hoping to create and I will try to provide the best workflow. If you have examples you can share which would be very useful!

  • No transparency background in the artboard Mode PS 2015.5.0

    Hello

Since the last update, I found a very strange bug. When you create a new document with transparent background, everything seems to work fine. The document is created with a transparent background. However, if I turn this document into one (or more) artboard (s) the background becomes white. There is no layer in the layers panel. If I place any object in the work plan and the export in PNG transparent, it will show the white background in the exported file.

I work for several years now with Photoshop and I don't think it's a fault on my end, as it seems to happen only after the update. If I'm missing something please let me know.

This makes basically useless for me at this stage PS because I work a lot with transparent graphics for the web.

    See you soon,.

    Bryan

We discuss making it the default transparent when we passed the basic model plan of work. He was well regarded as reasons to make the default white background opened in 2015.5:

    (1) we wanted to preserve the visual experience of existing documents. Imagine that you did you worry about the backgrounds and then opens your document after the upgrade and all your different work plans.

    (2) all of the users who work with transparent backgrounds is small compared to those who use the default background (white).

The change of model led us to make a choice when you upgrade to the new version of the document. We chose (1).

Unfortunately for you, your workflow is defined in (2). Fortunately, it's easy to fix. If you have not discovered it, you can select all your artboards in your document and change them all to transparent at the same time. You don't have to go one by one.

You make a good point that maybe we could have missed the transparent work plans if the document has a transparent background. Unfortunately, this calculation is not as easy as you might think to do things. It would have taken time away from other work, and it would have introduced a level of unpredictability when opening existing documents (Board graphics settings default to white, except if the current context is transparent, if there is an existing context, etc. etc..).

    It was a judgment call.

  • Unwanted white halo in the Gif format with transparent background

    Hello

I'm a Photoshop user for years. Before, I could do glitter GIFs with a transparent background without White halo around the edge of the image. But unfortunately, in a few months, a white edge appeared on each gif with transparent background around. For months, I have tried many methods to solve this problem, but didn't succeed. My GIFs are unusable. How can I make GIFs without white edge? Thank you for your quick response.

I send you a sample of each.

    Thanks in advance!

In other words, you did a very bad job, cutting the object of its white background, it's hard to see how poor when superimposed on a white background so I put on a black background.

    Poor curout on black background

Cut out the same with an added extra layer mask.

  • Transparent background of forms missing in Photoshop

I made a few forms using capture. When I place the shapes in Illustrator, it's exactly like I want it to be.

But when I place the shapes in Photoshop, the transparent background of my form is white Uni - the alpha channel is lost.

Of course, the solution is to open the shape in Illustrator, and then the tool in Photoshop, but I have had many instead use libraries in Photoshop.

    Am I missing something?

Photoshop and Illustrator CC, the most recent version.

    Hello Valerie.

Sorry for taking so long to answer. You are on the Capture for Android or iOS?

Capture Android does not generate the vector format Shape who needs Photoshop, so the only available import option is as an image (with... a white background). If you are on iOS, it could be a bug.

    Let me know.

    Sue.
