Tray HP 7520

Hi, looking for assistance on wireless photo printing to HP7520. Had been printing using imac, iphone and ipad without problem to the main tray. Now, the printer will print to the photo of iphone/pad tray but can select mac main tray.

Device says "no paper in the photo tray" but main tray is loaded.

I want to print photos to the Lac main fair children homework etc. - any help appreciated.

Already reset the printer and tried to use HP E-print

Hi minimalist,.

Welcome to the Forums of HP's Support. I understand that you get a "No paper in the Photo tray" message when you print from your Apple mobile devices.

I assume you are using AirPrint when you try to print photos of your Apple mobile devices.  To be able to select the paper tray, please use the HP ePrint mobile application.  I've included the document with the steps for the implementation of printing for your printer.  For reference, I have included the FAQ document for the mobile application HP ePrint and HP all-in-One Printer Remote Mobile App.

  • Epson WF-7520 does not print to tray 2 after El Capitan clean install?

I don't know what happened, but since I did a clean install of El Capitan, my WF-7520 Epson no longer works correctly. The ONLY way it prints on the 13 x 19 (tray 2) is when I remove it and place it in the top housing (slot 1). In addition, all my photo quality controls are now gone, so high quality prints are no longer possible. I tried to remove and reinstall the driver, but that has no effect.

For what it's worth, I print using Adobe Acrobat DC of more Creative cloud products. Anyone know what can be wrong?

    Rest the printing system...

Open System Preferences > Printers and Scanners and select the print tab.

Right click or control your printer on the left, then click on: reset printing system...

    Then try to print again.

If that does not help, download and install fresh drivers from the Epson website > http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/support/supDetail.jsp?infoType=Downloads & oid = 183585

A new installation can sometimes corrupt the software/drivers and need a new facility.

  • Photo PhotoSmart 7520 tray is blocked when I try to print photo 4 x 6 for the first time.

I just bought this 7520 and installed the software; then when I tried to print a picture for the first time, I kept getting the error message that the photo tray is locked (will not travel to bottom to pick up the blank photo paper) even if no clogging. The call centre could not solve the problem, and they ship me a replacement printer; but I suspect that this may be a common problem.

I searched the post, and someone else had the same problem.  The solution is that the tab on the slide of paper size was outside the slide area.  I fixed it, and the printer now prints pictures.

  • HP 7520 - cannot print custom size of the photo tray photo

I am trying to print a photo of small 2.5 cm wide on a 4 x 6 "piece of photo paper. If I choose the "custom" paper size then I can select 4 x 6 on the right and put 4 copies of the photo on the sheet.  But when I click on print it always goes for the main paper tray and then gives me an error (I emptied the main tray because I don't want it to be used). I don't want to use a large sheet of paper.

How can I force to take the paper from the photo bin? I tried every setting I can think. The selection of paper size automatically assumes that it is the size of the photo I want! If I choose 4 x 6 as my paper size it only allows me to print one full page. I need a tiny picture, preferably several times on one page. Without doubt, I should be able to say print the picture of this exact size and paper tray! Can anyone help please?

I use the HP Photosmart 7520 and Windows 7. Thank you.

    SeoulGal,

Thanks for the quick response. You have me a little confused, so I just want to clarify - initially you were trying to print on 4 X 6 paper, you then changed to 10 x 15, because the paper was not shooting from the photo tray? I assume you mean 10x15cm which is always the same size from 4 x 6 paper.

Anyway I understand that he won't shoot the photo tray paper, you place the tray in the photo tray when selecting to print? Have a look here at how change printer settings so it pulls the correct status bar: Print the Photos saved on your computer (Windows)

Please don't forget to take a look at the paper handling section in the printer Specifications as 2.5 photo size you are interested in is not, see here: 7520 Photosmart e-all-in-one printer printer Specifications

I could open my Windows Live Photo Gallery and play with the settings of the picture, when I select option 4 x 6 as you, I only get the option for "picture full page. Now when I select the letter or 8x10inches I am then given more options 2-4x6s, 1-8 x 10, 9-wallets and Board contact etc.. So that leads me to believe this is a limitation of the software.

Have you tried using another photo program to see if this allows you to get you exactly what you want? I open HP Photo Creations on my computer and did the following:

    1. click on the option of high prints

    2. navigate to multiple display prints and select display multiple impressions of grid.

    3. click on customize and print

    4. along the top, you are given the option to choose size, please make sure that the value is 4 x 6. See below

    5. now under the advance printing options, go ahead and select the following settings:

    6. you are also able to change the number of pictures you want per sheet, I've now fixed it 2. If you want to only 1 copy of the photo under Copies change this to 1

    7. now you can go ahead and select print (remember under the parameter to select the right printer tray)

You are now able to print the smaller picture on paper photo 4 x 6 size the correct status bar? I look forward to hearing from you, fingers crossed

  • Photosmart e: 7520 7520 HP e - AIO printer cannot copy of tray of food or a bed. PC fine.

Cannot copy from the tray or a bed. Correct PC.

Message says "make sure document inserted at bottom and try again"

    Hey @jimack,

I see that you have some problems with the copy of your 7520 Photosmart e-all-in-one printer. I can help you with that.

To start, make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector. Once it is, while the printer is on, remove the power cable at the back of the printer for one minute.

If after the above, you can always not copy, the printer must be replaced. You can contact the HP Support by clicking on this link and fill out the form below to discuss the options based on your warranty.

Please let me know the results after following the above. If you are able to copy or to reach a resolution with the support, click on accept solution. If you appreciate my help, please click on the thumbs up icon. The two icons are below this post.

  • New HP Photosmart 7520 won't print from the photo tray

EDIT: He will feed from the phototray if I print the photo in Windows Photo Viewer.  However, he still refuses to print directly from the jpg format, even if I specify explicitly in all the settings I want to print a 4 x 6 from the photo tray.

    Is this a normal behavior?

I guess it would print correctly from other photo editing and look at software, but haven't checked that yet is not sure.

    PREVIOUS POST:

I just got this printer and cannot print from the photo tray.  He printed from the phototray during installation and configuration, but it was the only time.  The rest of the time, when I try to print a photo, it selects only in the regular paper tray.

Is there a magical procedure involved?  I have an operating system of Windows 7 and just installed on the HP site.  I uninstalled and reinstalled, but it still does not work.

I load a sheet in the phototray, make sure that the correct printer is defined, select the paper size (in this case 4x6in photo sample provided with the printer paper), select HP Everyday Photo Paper, glossy paper, click on print and the printer does not take into account the phototray and prints from the regular paper tray.

I've scoured the web and answers do not solve the problem.  It's very frustrating.  If I can't get this resolved in a day or two, I will back this printer and will try another brand.

These settings should always print to the Photo tray.

  • Photosmart 7520: 7520 Photosmart black too big HP 564 black cartridge for insertion in the cartridge tray

My Photosmart HP 7520 has 2 black cartridges.  One is narrow with the same width as the color cartridges and the other is larger and fits OK into its slot on the far right.  Close cartridge is supposed to be inserted into the slot on the left.  I bought 3 new cartridges of 564 black but it's widest 564 black.  How to find the narrow black cartridge?

    J_A_A

564 cartridges are labeled with icons for identifications. Black regular has a Pentagon on it and black Photo has a 'Butterfly' icon (and image of the camera on the package). I think that you're looking for is the photo in the black.

BTW, regular 564 also has a narrow black (standard load) and more wide (XL), so make sure match the icon, not the size.

  • Photosmart 7520: photosmart 7520 photos biased-tray printing

We've had this printer for over a year (so it is out of warranty). We had no any trouble hologram photography large format using 8.5 "x 11 photo" in the paper tray when you use our old computer, which took place from Windows 7. But that the computer is dead and we are running 8.1 on our new machine. I don't know if that is the question, but thought I would mention it.

Today, I was trying to print large size images (but not larger than the 8.5 x 11 format) and it does not work. They are constantly being printed out of the Center. If it was the same amount each time, I would just understand how to change where images are focused and go with it. But it's different every time. When you print a portrait, he cut the upper part; sometimes barely; sometimes half of the photo. When I print in landscape mode, it cut the left end; Yet once, sometimes slightly, other times by a large part of the picture. It's as if the slips of paper in front of where it is supposed to go. It's paper no HP photo pro, we have used in the past very well.

I tried to download the latest updates to the printer, based on the new operating system. I tried printing from Adobe Photoshop Elements 6.0 (that I have used without problem for years). I tried printing from Windows Picture Veiwer. Both do the same thing. I tried to look for solutions in this forum and elsewhere online. No luck.

The thing is the photo paper is bright and a little slippery. The paper can be slippery? And what I can do about it?

The symptoms you describe are consistent with slippery pickup rollers, which can occur after a long period of power slippery coated photo media.  In the paper here troubleshooting steps can help reolsve issues.

  • 7520 AIO: 7520 AIO fails to pick up the papers of each tray. Rolls on drop-down pick up fail to rolate.

The problem is clear, the engine, which causes the reels on the pick-up arm when it is lowered has come off of the drive shaft.  Is it possible to get parts from thespare to solve this problem.  I think I need a new mechanism of full support, but also a new well in the moulded cog wheel on?  If Yes, what is the part No. etc that I need to clarify?

I beleve but cannot be certain that the idler wheels between the pinion on the drive shaft and the rollers are rigid/broken or in some way damaged because they seem to need a lot of strength to transform, thus causing the fundamental problem.

Is there is a fatal problem with the printer then I need a photo printer as good as which takes 364 cartridges!  Please notify.

    Hello

Thank you for using the HP forum.

I understand that the collection of Assembly does not work in your printer. Sorry to say that it is not a replaceable part in the printer. You can go for the upgrade by calling our service number 1800-474-6836.

When I use the paper to copy or scan feeder, I get a vertical line on the output page.  This does not happen when I use flat glass.  I tried to clean the parts of the feeder, I can achieve with alcohol, but it did not help.

Is it possible to identify what is causing the problem and (b) to reach to clean?

In other words, there is dirt spot on the adf scanner glass. The part that must be cleaned is the glass of the adf that is located under the hood, on the left side (face of standing the printer).

  • How can I route printing jobs for the main tray instead of the photo tray?

If I send a mail with an attachment JPG to the e-mail address of my printer, it will always try to print it by using the photo tray. I guess he assumes simply because it is an image file, happened to print using photo paper. Although it is not a bad assumption, it is not necessarily what the user wants. I was wondering how I could implement the ePrint to control which tray to use for printing the attachments of the image files. Thank you.

PS My printer is Photosmart 7520.

  • Photosmart 7520 will not print on color construction paper.

My Photosmart 7520 print text on color construction paper.  It feeds through the status bar, but does not print.

    Hey @JanMO,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

If you have a 7520 Photosmart all-in-one that doesn't seem to not want to print on color construction paper? Because the product is to feed the paper in the paper tray but isn't actually put ink on the page is does not seem to be a problem with the book itself and not filling not the management of specifications that your printer takes in charge for a type of paper.

According to the specifications of 7520 Photosmart it can handle:

    • Types of media supported: Paper (brochure, inkjet, ordinary), photo paper, envelopes, labels, cards (greeting), transparent
    • Supported media formats: Letter, legal, 4 x 6, 5 x 7 in., 8 x 10, no. 10 envelopes
    • Recommended weight: 16-80 lbs.

    Plug Photosmart e-all-in-one printer 7520

You know the exact weight of the construction paper?

Your printer will print on other media, such as plain white paper or photo paper glossy with no problems?

You could try to browse the next document in troubleshooting print quality, but please note that if your paper is not listed in the support media types, sizes or requirements of weight that you can do more harm to your printer.

The problems of print quality for the e-all-in-one printer series HP Photosmart 7520

Please let me know what you find on your construction paper specifications and if none of these steps helped to solve your problem. Good luck!
