TrueSuite sensor locked

I have been using TrueSuite on my Portege without problem. Yesterday, I had a wet finger and went to open a session using the senser of fingerprints. After 3 tries it me locked and has begun the countdown to 90 seconds before it would be active again. I left and came back to find it says "sensor locked". After 24 hours of waiting, it is always locked. More of a concern is that it will not accept my password no longer (to connect the conventionally).

Is there anything that can be done to unlock the sensor. At this point, the computer books to the top and gives every appearance of work except that I can't access anything whatsoever.

What can be done to unlock the sensor?

Hello

As you know, this security feature is very important and it is designed to provide 100% protection for laptop or data. To discuss these issues is OK, but we can discuss general things, but not of the sensitive topic.

Can you imagine someone post here how to unlock the sensor and everyone can read this. Why protect laptops more if this info can be read on the public forum? Every stolen laptop can be unlocked.

I hope that you understood the point then please contact the nearest Toshiba service provider, explain the situation, offer proof that you are the real owner and they will help you with this.

Bye and good luck.

  • Question of TrueSuite of fingerprint - error: could not open impression fingerprint sensor

    Hello

A few days ago my TrueSuite reinstalled himself and then asked to restart the computer, which I did. But things, when I turned on the computer laptop back to reboot, TrueSuite will have to reboot again. This happened a few times, so I reset the laptop to a system restore point, I had created a few days ago.

This deleted all my fingerprints, which I don't mind, but when I go to re-register my fingerprints, it says: "error: could not open impression fingerprint sensor.»

    PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS!

    Thank you.

See European driver of Toshiba for the most recent software TrueSuite to fingerprints.
Remove your old software of fingerprint of the computer and reinstall the new software downloaded from the site driver of Toshiba.

Then set it up again, create fingerprints and take advantage of the laptop.

  • TrueSuite Fingerprint Software me lock out of my files!

    Help!

I use the TrueSuite Access Manager very happy five months for some of my files important protect from prying eyes. Suddenly, today, when I try to "unprotect" them, I get a message saying "Invalid"File Protection Key"". The fingerprint reader works fine and TrueSuite Access Manager accepts my footprint quite happy.

I am using Windows XP Pro. The only things that have happened since I last accessed files successfully was a download Microsoft Tuesday last week and my Norton Internet Security 2008 installation.

I really hope you guys can help ' cos I need to access these files.

    Steve

PS, I tried to restore to a previous system restore point, but they all fail...

Well, here is where I have to this day...

The TrueSuite Access Manager is provided by AuthenTec, but is actually just a rebadged version of the Password of ABIG software. The site Web of TrueSuite disappeared off the internet (although you can find one or two references to the fact that there were once). AuthenTec or ABIG offer any support whatsoever. So the only source of help is Toshiba...

I traced the beginning of my woes to an application error logged in the log of the events of Win XP - fingerprint software didn't. The description of the error says only: "prints notifier Application digital Suite has encountered a problem and needs to close." Large. The application error has somehow broken the link between fingerprints recorded and the key used to 'protect' all my files. Even having a back-up fingerprints was useless, because that was the link between the fingerprint identification system and the file system of Windows that was broken, not fingerprint information...

I rang the Toshiba help line, who recommended to download and install the latest drivers. What I've done. It made no difference.

I managed to roll back to Windows to a date earlier than the application error (the problem I had before which prevented me to restore the system to an earlier date was caused by Norton internet Security, a "known" feature). But even once it made no difference.

So where am I today? TrueSuite has lost the connection between my fingerprints and the key that he used with the file system Windows to protect my files, I was in turn locked out of all files. I can't access, copy, move them or delete them, BACK or Win XP. Toshiba recommendation is to use the provided with the laptop recovery disks and to reinstall Windows XP from scratch. Of course this will not return me my information, but at least it will remove all unnecessary files and free up the space occupied by them!

Lessons to be learned - if you use TrueSuite to protect your files, think twice. If you want to continue to do so, back up all your files before protecting them. Of course, the backup version of the file will not be protected fingerprint (bat rather the object of the exercise, is not...)

    Good luck.

  • After cancellation of Vista all the files locked by TrueSuite

A while back, I drove back into Windows Vista to an earlier date and thus all my files locked by TrueSuite became corrupted and I can't open them, move, delete, etc.
I tried to remove it from the command prompt, but that no longer works.

Is there a way I can remove it?

    Thanks for any help.

    Hello

Have you tried to delete these files once the TrueSuite has been uninstalled?
I think that it s worth a try.
Remove the TrueSuite of the system, reboot the laptop, clean the BONES and the registry using the CCleaner and reboot the laptop again.
Then check if the locked files can be deleted again.

  • How to lock the mirror upward on my M2 A77 so I can blow off the dust on the sensor?

I have a speck of dust on my sensor, but I can't understand how to raise the mirror to use the fan. Is this possible on a camera I AM?

Select the cleaning Mode in the menu of configuration (with the Toolbox icon).

If that is not clean the sensor, there is a little lock at the bottom of the mirror. Lift it and the mirror will lift, giving access to the probe. You should lower the mirror when you are finished.

  • Satellite U405 - S2833 Fingerprint error: could not open the sensor

Hello, I am very new to the forums so I apologize in advance if I don't give all the necessary accurate information in this thread.

I have a Toshiba U405-S2833 and it came with the TrueSuite Access Fingerprint Software.

I downloaded an update a few days ago, but I don't remember if it's for Vista or Toshiba. Since then, my fingerprints were all removed from the system, and when I try re - save, I get this error message "error: could not open the sensor" I can't find the material to fix the sensor manually without going through the TrueSuite software.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance

I am also having the same problem.

My boss uses a Satellite U405-2628 fingerprinting and with the sensor TrueSuite Access Manager. It worked fine, then I updated windows and it has stopped working. I was on the updates and noticed an update of TrueSuite and thought that maybe that was messed up things.

Then there were other issues that went past me locked out of the machine (anti-virus and loss of relationship with the field... also my fault). So I decided to wipe the machine and install fresh Vista.

I installed everything but the TrueSuite software still not able to open the sensor. After hitting my head on it, I decided enough was enough and I restored it using Toshiba recovery disks.

It took a few hours and here I am logged in as administrator and the TrueSuite software still cannot open the sensor. I don't know what I can do, since it is to return to the factory settings.

As the above poster said, HELP!

    Thank you.

    ... a little later...

Well, I managed to do work, and this can be useful for some people out there since I found no easy answers. I can't guarantee anything, and it's really complicated... so here go us.

First, I downloaded the latest update from Toshiba (util_fingerprint_27460A.exe) and nothing has worked.
Then I uninstalled the sensor since (click right, uninstalled) Device Manager to uninstall the driver as well (it should invite you to do so)
Then, still in the Device Manager, I scanned for new hardware and it came with my sensor. I said to look for drivers and when he could not find, I think it gave me an option for windows search for an answer... or something like that. He came back with a link to Authentec (www.authentec.com/win7update/w7wbf32.exe, I think). So I downloaded that and installed. He rose through the device under "Biometric devices" then before... I think it's under the "Personall security device" or something like that. But alas, still no luck. So I uninstalled all the device from the Device Manager (taking care of uninstalling the driver as well) and of the TrueSuite software. Then came the break I was looking for.

Online research I came across this page... http://members.driverguide.com/driver/detail.php?action=download&driverid=1194755. I had the chance before to DriverGuide.com so I thought what the heck. It is a driver of HP for the same sensor and it is dated 2006. So I downloaded and installed. Still nothing...

Disgusted, I thought, well let's try to install util_fingerprint_27460A.exe on top of that. So I did, restarted and I couldn't believe my eyes when he said to connect and register fingerprints not seriously. And so I did. I hope this helps people, I don't really know how the sensor I so messed up, but I'm glad it worked.

Yet one thing... and this may be important. When I took TrueSuite first after doing all this, he told me that the storage of fingerprints was full... or something in that sense. So I clicked the button remove all traces of fingers button and it I would like to register my fingerprints. I'm starting to wonder if that was all I had to do in the first place... Guess I'll never know.

    Good luck.

  • Apple Watch 2 guard locking

My watch keeps locking with evert wrist movement.  I'm just not matched and repaired my watch and it works properly now.  When I called Apple the suggested I bring it to the Apple store as an end that any difficulty.  Not really interested by spending as much time, but if I have to.  All the world experienced this and found a solution?

    Hello

With wrist detection and active access code, make sure you wear your watch sufficiently well adjusted. If it is worn without too much shake, your watch may believe that he had been removed from your wrist, leading to this lock automatically:

Performance of the sensor can also be affected by temporary or permanent changes on your skin, such as certain wrist tattoos.

    More information:

  • My locks of Apple Watch every time that the screen turns off.

From the past week, whenever my screen goes black on the Apple Watch, it crashes. Whenever I want to check messages, use siri or do anything outside the eye at the moment, so I have to unlock it with my access code. It's pretty boring.

    Hello

    Check your settings.

    • On your iPhone, in the application of the watch, go to: My Watch (tab) > General > enable the detection of wrist.
    • On your iPhone, in the application of the watch, go to: Watch My > General > screen Wake > turn the Wake screen on wrist lift.

Also, make sure you wear your watch sufficiently well adjusted. If worn too loosely, your watch may believe that he had been removed from your wrist. With access code also allowed, it would then automatically locks. Performance of the sensor can also be affected by temporary changes or permanent on your skin, such as certain wrist tattoos.

If you have not already done so, it can help to upgrade your iPhone and look at the latest version of the software, from your iPhone:

  • Why my Apple Watch constantly re - lock?

I have the band steel stainless link and have tried everything. Right now it's so tight he almost suffocates the wide circulation, but also locks and requires me to enter my code.

    Hello

So that the wrist detection works correctly, it should certainly not necessary to wear your watch too tight. For best results of this and other features, on the back of your watch must be in contact with your skin. The right fit must be neither too tight nor too loose, with room for your skin to breathe:

The sensor performance may be affected by the changes as some wrist tattoos permanent or temporary skin.

Otherwise, the following steps may help:

    • Make sure the wrist detection is open: on your iPhone, in the application of the watch, go to: Watch My > General > detection of wrist.

If the problem persists, I suggest you contact Apple Support (mail service may be available) or make a booking Genius Bar in order to have your watch checked and, if necessary, repair (warranty, if it qualifies):

To check your warranty status (the serial number is on the back of your watch):

  • Drive not work in IE and saying failed to connect with fingerprint sensor

    Hi all

I purchased a Qosmio x 500 10 t a couple of months back. For the first two weeks, I had no probs using the fingerprint reader to log on windows and connect to Web sites in Internet exploer.

All of a sudden it would not work on any website that is stored. The Green banner was shown in the upper part of the site and asked finger drag, but nothing happened when I slipped. I rebooted and it worked again but not for long before failing. This time a restart didn't work so I deleted my fingerprints and Web sites and started from scratch. It worked for a few attempts before probs started. And to try to enter the utility of fingerprint it says the connection of sensor failure. So, I did a system restore. He worked for some time yet and then same probs. So I found the update utility software, uninstalled the old and put on the new. Even once worked for a couple of times then failed.

I couldn't find anything about it is stuck in the registry but to be on the safe side I did a full system own return to the original using disks of backup configuration. Hey presto, I thought that he had worked. Everything goes ok for the first 24 hours and then same problems start to occur. Only this time it's also prompting me to register fingerprints even if I already have. And when I try to enter the utilioty it says cannot read the sensor again.

The fingerprints for windows log still works as long as I do not close the utility of fingerprinting before stopping. If I quit the utility I can't reopen it as it says failed to connect to the sensor only. And then I have to uninstall and reinstall the utility software. Aty at the time where he occasionally works on sites stored Web, but most of the time it does nothing.

Help, please. I have to return Toshiba laptop?

  • TrueSuite Access Manager Protection key: invalid file

    Hello

I have Tecra M10 (PTMB3A) laptop running Win XP SP3 and TrueSuite Access Manager 2.1.11.0

I always using fingerprints from Windows logon without any problem, also I have quiet a few applications that are maintained and accessible by password Bank of TrueSuite. I have also a folder that contains protected by TrueSuite files and until recently I had no problems with this app at all.

In the recent past, I noticed several times (occasional, non-persistent) when windows starts, the baloon tip popping up from system tray, saying that fingerprints are not in school and told him to click on the message to register fingerprints. I've been quiet happily ignoring these messages because there is no problem to access the files and using password Bank these 'non-status' and 'normal' windows sessions

The last time I been stupid enough to click on that message and I discovered that my fingerprints are not there (or appear to be lost) and I signed them all over again, retaining the same windows password.

A few days after that I tried to access my protected files (well I don't have them every day) but realized that I can no longer access these files anymore. Whenever I click on any of these files and move my finger on the sensor, the popup window warns that sweeping succeeded, however "Real-time Unprotection" appears "Invalid File Protection key" with a "Failed" status for this file.

    My question is:
Is there a way to recover my files or any chance to recover/unprotect/hack this protection once and for all, that I am really frustrated with this product and none taken in charge the AuthenTec, the seller of this dubious utility at all.

    In my opinion, there is only a solution;
You need to reinstall the TrueSuite Access Manager and need to reconfigure the password of fingerprints.

  • Problem with the TrueSuite Fingerprint on Portege R500-121 software

121 - R500 new with Vista Business. After two weeks of evil, I realized that the failures of synchronization of offline files resulted from the fingerprint software. The only solution is to uninstall Truesuite, therefore not fingerprint authentication if you want threads in offline mode. How Toshiba can ship a laptop with software that one of the most important operating system for peat mobile users have?

Already checked the Drivers Toshiba download site if a new version is available? Maybe there is a new version that fixes this bug.

If not, I would check the microsoft Web site, if there is no case known, so maybe someone has a out some correction or similar.
I wouldn pointing with your finger to toshiba, first of all, because it's definitely a software error and there are probably more manufacturers of portable with the same fingerprint sensor that may have the same problem.

    Welcome them

  • Fingerprint sensor can be found on Portege R500

Since my Portege R500 has recently developed a habit of not being able to find the fingerprint sensor.
I have re-installed Truesuite (new version 2.0.2.0) but that didn't improve matters.

On startup, I get an error software fingerprinting system is not available.
At the start of TrueSuite, trying to footprints fingerprinting registration, I get a message "cannot open the sensor.

Am I missing a driver or so (at the start there is also a cryptic message on a port USB)

    Any ideas?

It of difficult to say why the new fingerprint driver or software does not solve your problem

The whole story is really mysterious.
The European driver Toshiba page provides the AuthenTec fingerprint software (v2.0.2.0)
If reinstalling this software does not help the question must relate to a corrupt Windows Vista files and in my opinion that using the Toshiba Recovery CD should help.

    A question:
    Have you installed SP1?
