Try to install Adobe reader

I am trying to install Adobe reader on my computer so I can open a PDF file, but every time the download is about to finish this error message:

"Error 1935 an error occurred during the installation of assembly"Microsoft.VC80.CRT.version = "8.0.50727.163".Guy = "win32".publicKeyToken = "1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b".processorArchitecture = "x 86" ".

This happened also when I tried to install Microsoft office home and Student 2007

Open the prompt with administrator privileges and run

SFC.exe/scannow

It solves the problem?

  • message "your purchase could not be completed" when you try to install Adobe Reader from the Windows store

I try to install Adobe Reader Touch to my Surface installed Pro Windows 8.1 Microsoft Windows store.  I get the following message is displayed:

"Your purchase could not be executed.

Something has happened and it's impossible to make your purchase.  "Error code: 0 x 080070057.

Only, this seems to be a problem with Adobe Reader Touch.  I was able to install applications from other vendors and Adobe (for example, Photoshop Express to the elements).  So it doesn't seem to be a problem with my Adobe account, or a problem with Windows Store system.

Anyone have this problem?  All solutions?

    THX.

    Hi jjquinn75

I recommend contacting Microsoft about this error message as it is returned by the windows store program.

Furthermore, I you recommend to download the installer for Adobe reader offline using this link (Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Distribution ) and then try to install on your device pro surface.

    Hi ian normal,.

What operating system do you use?
What Service Pack is currently installed?
You are currently on all of your windows updates?

Have you tried to check the permissions in the folder install? To do this try the following below:

In Vista, click on start search > type > c:/windows/installer > then right-click on c:/windows/installer at the top under programs and click Properties > click the Security tab > check if system and administrator account has full access permissions > the Everyone account should have read and execute permissions, view the contents of the folder and reading

Your permissions there these exact settings?

  • Error 1303 when you try to install Adobe Reader on Windows 7. The error message says to log on as an administrator. Yes, I did. It does not work.

I am trying to install Adobe Reader with Windows 7.  The installation fails with an error 1303 tent access to c:\Program files (x 86) \common files\adobe\1.0.   I tried to log in as an administrator. No luck.

To see if it a Windows problem or an Adobe issue, see if this PDF Reader installed.

If so, I would stick with it. Foxit is much more user friendly Windows.

    Hello lstephe62,

I suggest that you remove earlier versions of Adobe and try to install it. You can see the underside of the article that I found on the Adobe site to solve this problem:

Looks like the file associations have been corrupted, you may be able to repair the associations through these articles.

If you cannot run the .exe from these programs, take a look at these.

See what this article mentions on a registry key called "UserChoice", if you can adapt this information and apply as appropriate to solve your problem.

  • Error code 1317 when installing Adobe Reader

I get the following error message when I try to install adobe reader:

Error 1317.An error occurred while attempting to create the directory

    C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Acrobat\9.0\Replicate

I've upgraded to windows 7 (64-bit) Vista.  It was a free update that was included with my purchase of the laptop.  Any ideas?  I am so frusterated!  I managed to install Quickbooks 2010, among other programs, but this stupid thing will not cooperate.  Thank you!

    Hello

Error 1317 is related to authorization. This is a Ko from Adobe it referring to XP, but basically, it's the same thing that you do as well on Windows 7. http://kb2.Adobe.com/CPS/332/332541.html

    Hope this helps!

  • Install Adobe Reader XI by default location

I try to install Adobe Reader XI to one location other than the default location.  The location, it is by default is a 100 MB partition, which is not big enough for the installation.  During the installation process, before he gets to the point where it tells me to clear up some space, I don't me the window to change the location by default/directory.  Here are things I tried.

    Installation via the Auto-Installer

Download Auto Installer on the disk I want to install it, and then running it from there

Download the .exe from Adobe's FTP site and running it to the correct location

Download the .msi file of the Adobe FTP site and running it to the correct location

Running msiexec to change the installation directory - msiexec/i <MSI location> installdir ="desired installation location"/qb

I am at a loss here.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you.

I found the answer.  When you run the initial Setup, it's tempting point to a temporary directory to load files for installation.  The he was trying to point to the temp directory was only 100 MB so not big enough.  I found the steps to change the temporary location by default, and that solved the problem.

Right click on computer / my computer

    Properties

    Advanced/advanced system settings

    Environment variables

Change the TMP and TEMP to a location that has enough space

These are the steps for XP and Win7.
