Trying to update a table in a second table when the data are different
Hello;I have a the same table in two databases. The database are connected with a DB link. I'm trying to update one table based on the data in the second table when the EMP_ID is but the name does not match.
The table will look like:
Table name: EMP
EMP_ID
LAST_NAME
FIRST NAME
MIDDLE_INITIAL
My SQL is:
update EMP TARGET
set (TARGET.LAST_NAME, TARGET.FIRST_NAME,TARGET.MIDDLE_INITIAL) = (
select SOURCE.LAST_NAME, SOURCE.FIRST_NAME, SOURCE.MIDDLE_INITIAL

There is no WHERE clause in the UPDATE statement, so that each row in the target table will be changed.
If you only want to change the lines that have a match in the source table, then add a WHERE clause (perhaps "WHERE EXISTS (...)) with a subquery miuch very similar to the one you already have), or use the MERGER instead of UPDATE.
If you want to know, post CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements to recreate the tables they existed before the UPDATE and also post the contents of the table changed after the UPDATE.
Always tell what version of Oracle you are using.

assuming that emp is unique, at least in other_db.
It will work in Oracle 10 (and more). In Oracle 9, MERGER still requires a WHEN MATCHED clause, so add one if you must. No matter what he does; the subquery USE will only return matches.

Then you should change the value of Y to the maximum value.
Another option, you should consider is changing the Render item column to reflect that the value is greater than the specified maximum value.

How insert/DML data in the table when the data in the related table changes
Hello guys!
I came across a problem that I need to get fixed. Because I don't know how to start and get it resolved I wanted to ask you for your expertise.
The scenario is as follows:
I have a table 'a' in my 10g database and a view "ab" which combined table 'a' with 'b' table in a view. However, the 'b' table is a table in another schema Manager database. and accessible (read only right) via a database link.
Now here it is: whenever the data changes in table "b", for example 2 new sets of data is inserted, I need to insert automatically the 2 values of these 2 sets of data in my table "a". Same procedure for update and delete in table "b".
The action that inserts data into the table 'a' must be initialized in my database, I have limited access to the other. Can I somehow use a trigger my reviews of "ab" to insert data into the table "a"? Or is it possible to use the "change notification procedure database" using the view as the reference?
Desperately need help and example of all suspicion/code greatly appreciated. I am very new to Oracle and not very fond of PL/SQL routines. So please be so kind as to give me more details.

I tried this using postman and code, but I always get the following response error:

The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented him from meeting the demand.
I am able to 'get' existing table schemas, delete the tables, but I'm not able to make put them and post operations. Can someone help me to identify the problem, if there is no fault in my approach.

what I'm trying is basically update table t1 yearid which is a varchar2 in to_char start the date are irregular... so in my case of the sample,update t1 t set t.yearid = '2011_1' where to_char(t.begin_date, 'YYYY') = substr(t.yearid, 1, 4);
TO_CHAR date start back a 2011
Therefore, the yearid must be 2011_1 instead.
However, my udate statement does not work wellDon't know what exactly you want, but it looks like everything that you need is to change = to! = where year clause and using begin_date in update the value:

I have 10 items. I'm trying to update camera raw plug so it will read the first lines of a 7dmarkii shot. I can't find where to put them to update to the latest version of 8.7. If someone could please point me in the right direction, I would really appreciate it!
Normally, I shoot with the 7dmarki and have never had any problems. After troubleshooting my error message 'cannot open IMG1111 because it's the wrong file type', only the options have been updated plugin raw from the camera, to buy the latest version or uninstall and reinstall. First train to the plugin to update because it was a leased device. Thanks again!

I have Windows XP Home Edition Version 2002 Service Pack 3. I have 3 updates that load, but then the icon appears again advise that even the dates are ready for loading. Is it possible that updates sent me are for the 2003 Version? Whenever I update these 3 updates, a window shows updated loading successfully, but they still remain as an icon in my taskbar?

You want to run the B2BCommerce module? If so, then you must run the $dynamo_home /... / B2BCommerce/SQL/db_components/MySQL/b2b_user_ddl. SQL ddl because you are missing the B2BCommerce tables. If this isn't the case, you will have to redo without the B2BCommerce module.

Hello
I tried to update iTunes on Windows 10 and now I get the message error "there is a problem with this Windows Installer Package".
I tried to fix it too, but it has not helped, so I uninstalled and tried to reinstall but there has not helped either. I tried almost everything I've seen in other posts.
I use a laptop Asus series k55VJ with an original copy of Windows and has never had this problem before.Any of you have an idea what can do?

Programatically update af:table when clicking on createInsert af:button
Hi all
I use JDeveloper 11.1.2.4.0.
Requirement:
I have an af:panelCollection, inside I have a (Add) af:button and an af:table. Af: button creates an empty line in a table as createInsert. Now when I click on the Add button, it creates the empty line in the af: table. But the blank row is not visible immediately. It is visible only when I do another action in this page, as on some other tab and back.
From my observation, I found that the updating of the table does not occur immediately.
I want to create a blank line like createInsert done and immediately refresh the table so that the empty line is visible in the table.
I tried to adjust the partialTrigger of the tab; the reference to the id of the af: button, but still not working.
I tried to update the table in a pragmatic way during the click on the button, but did not work.
Can anyone suggest me solution for this.

I'm using Toad for Oracle and need assistance with a trigger. I have two tables tables A and B Table with some of the same fields. I want to only update the values in the array B, if the values in table A are not equal values in table B table A update. Don't update the record where the primary key of the Table equal to the foreign key in the Table B. I have a sample script below, I hope someone can give me an example, I can develop and test.
