Turn the use of fingerprints digital power easily

X201s

Windows 7

Fingerprint logon (normally) works well for me, but... I want to have the following:

1. When you travel - logon requires fingerprint or password.

2. where the House - automatic logon without security.

Is there a quick and easy way to enable security on and outside?

What I see, to remove and re-registration of fingerprints and Windows password whenever I have change from one to the other.  I would be very happy to be wrong.

in the Panel, should be a fingerprint software thinkvantage fingerprint.  open it.  Choose settings.  Uncheck the box "use the fingerprint instead of the password".

the password is another story.  to use the footprint or the password, or like you said to delete the password. at least, you don't have to re-register fingerprints.

  • Satellite M40X-149 the use with a digital projector HP 3130

Hi, new to this, so apologies before you start!

I have my M30 laptop and I am trying to link it to a new digital projector - a HP3130.
I connected it, turned everything on, began a slide show on my laptop... toggled buttons FN/F5 (a screen comes up with three images on it, but not the choice on how to choose or use) and nothing appears on the screen.

What should I do to make them work together?
    Any ideas please?
    Thank you very much.

    Paul

What you need to do is to switch to projector before you start any application.
So when you see Office use only FN + F5 key combination to switch to the projector.
When the desktop is displayed, it start the slide show.

  • Photosmart 5510 "disabled" related "to the use of too much power.

Printer worked fine. All of a sudden when I turn on the printer, I get an error message indicating that a device has been disabled because it used too much power to the computer via the USB port. I receive a message within printing itself was to say that the printer is offline or not connected, but it is connected properly as it always.

I restarted the iMac (10.7.5), uninstalled/reinstalled the printer software, disconnected/reconnected the cables, tried other USB ports... done everything I can think of. The message I get on the "device" does not specify which device, but I get the error message whenever I push the button 'on' on the printer.

I don't have a wireless so that is not involved. It seems that the printer is permanently "disabled" due to too draw on the Mac? Never heard of this and they need to fix it!

When you try to setup assistant to reinstall the printer is not recognized, even though I know that it is properly connected and turned on.

Any help very graciously agreed. Thank you.

    Hi Katecrimson,

I understand that you use a Photosmart 5510 with an iMac and you get an error indicating that a USB device drew too much power of the computer, so it has been disabled. I will certainly do my best to help you solve this problem!

What you have described, and what I could find online, it seems like it might be a problem with the USB cable. I would recommend that acquire you another cable to the printer and try this. I would recommend that once you say USB cable, disconnect whatever it is what USB connected to your iMac, it reboot and then proceed to connect all the devices back, leaving the printer until the last. With a new thread, you must run is no longer in this error.

Hope this helps, have a nice day!

    Hello

I have 3560 Vostro with installed Win7 Ultimate 64 bit. I installed all the drivers page of Dell's Support + Driver validity sensor - everything seems to be installed correctly.

    Any suggestions welcome :)

    Hi John,.

Since you have already installed the drivers from our support Web site, recommend you to install the software of Windows 7 Biometric Framework (WBF) Validity Sensor from the link below:

    http://bit.LY/RZfVJ1

Once you click the link, unzip and install WBF. Click Start > Control Panel > biometric devices and save your fingerprint.

  • Only supports the utility of fingerprinting the Chrome latest version 21

    Hello!

The latest version of Chrome is 21 and this version is not compatible with the utility of fingerprint digital (I use the 2.0.0.6409).

So I tried to install the last Fingerprint Utility (fp - sw - 20120710162925.zip, version 2.0.0.9) but the installer should hang at some point, because I never get to see the installer itself, I see only the unziper (aka THOSHIBA Archive extractor).

So I don't know what to do to make it work.
Made the 2.0.0.9 FP utility version supports Chrome 21?
I can't find any info about this :/

    Thanks in advance :)

    PS: I have a Tecra R950

    > So I tried to install the last Fingerprint Utility (fp - sw - 20120710162925.zip, version 2.0.0.9), but the installer should hang at some point, because I never get to see the installer itself, I can only see the unziper (aka THOSHIBA Archive extractor).

I think you should download the package once more.
Then right click on the zip package and unpack the files.
Then you should see an exe, the exe file is too compressed so you must unzip this new.
    Right-click and select Extract here.
Now you should see some files and now you should be able to run the installation.

Is there a need or a way to turn the pencil off the power when you do not use?

Unfortunately not. The best thing is to turn off bluetooth. However, you will need to re - pair the iPad and the pencil again by plugging in the port of lightning. When not used the pencil of apple do not lose a lot of power.

  • Use of fingerprints only logon (replaces policy logon UVM) not accessible to the general public more!

    Hello

I installed the Client IBM security subsystem on my ThinkPad X 41, running Windows XP Professional. Next to this, fingerprint software digital version 5.8 has been also improved. The sw of the fingerprint does not offer me any choice on the logon tab, but says the security subsystem to enable or disable the logon windows replacement.

In the Application of UVM and Policy Configuration (IBM security subsystem administration utility) "Protection log" tab "replacement to activate Windows" is selected, but I have no choice "use the only footprint logon (replaces policy logon UVM)" to create a signle sign - we (SSO) -who has had before. The only "choice", that I have now is "UVM-policy for the use of base (requires entry of login login password" and this isn't what I want ;-)

Anyone able to help out me?

    TXS

    Problem solved ;-)

I forgot that I had to protect my BIOS Setup with a supervisor password. If, at the time of startup, press F1, then you must the press ESC to turn off the fingerprints and, the icon of power, you will need to enter your supervisor password. I did a security chip reset and reinstalled the latest version of ThinkVantage Client Security Solution. Now Power On just me one finger to the entire boorprocess until I can work with Windows XP.

  • Cannot open the component of the battery of the 3rd generation Apple TV remote.  The "cover" stripped is by using a coin to turn the cover counterclockwise. Any suggestions?

On the component of the battery of the 3rd generation Apple TV remote, the "lid" is getting stripped by using a coin to turn the cover counterclockwise. I even used a screwdriver flat head with a cloth & it will not always be open.

It is partially open, but I think there was some debris. I disabled the debris, but the "lid" is badly stripped. I stopped as I would not completely destroy the compartment cover. Any suggestions?

I had a similar problem with another camera, but a very similar configuration, a round lid on a stack of pancakes about two years ago. I got to have adhesive PuTTY handy of Museum at the time.  I took enough Putty to cover the circular cover, let it sit for just a moment, or so that he could 'stick' (it's not like glue, it will come off easily). I have enough of the dough (about a 3/4 inch ball) used to create a handle and everything pushing down pretty firmly on the sealant to keep it on the cover, I did one-quarter turn and cover came out. I just took my money AppleTV 3 remote out of storage and tried this technique on her, and she seemed to cling to the coverage and helped me with the tour. My remote money is not received tap stuck like yours and the housing is in good condition. But it might be interesting to try. If you live in Irvine, California you should probably have some of this PuTTY on hand. It is usually used to prevent the fall during an earthquake of trinkets and other fragile objects of light weight. If all else fails, a new remote money is always available on the Apple Store for $19. Good luck.

  • How can I get the digital power meter?

How can I get the digital power meter?

I use a method similar to the example below to measure the market factor using the inputs of a multifunction data acquisition meter.  If the duty cycle is 0% or 100% for a given period, DAQ reading times out and returns an error.  In this case, I would get the digital state of the counter of entry so I can put as cycle to 0% or 100%.  I want to do it without knowing the digital port and line the entrance of counter... for example I would like to continue referencing DAQ/ctrX since I already have this information.

The application uses an M series: PXI-6229 DAQ and LabVIEW 2011 to make a system customized for VeriStand.

    https://decibel.NI.com/content/docs/doc-12396

For the moment I wired the block diagram to add a case structure to check the meter ID and string constants to set the identifier of digital input, as they share the physical connection.  As much as I can say that makes the specific code for the PXI-6229 (or any DAQ with only two counters that share connections with p2.1 and p) 1.4

I have attached the VI sub.

When the device is used with a different data acquisition, I can add the connection and/or separate control.  Looks like at least one will be necessary given that the meter can only detect the edges... I think it was the piece of information I needed.

    Thanks for your help!

  • SOS - system froze because of attempt to bypass the fingerprint digital/Admin login

Here's what I tried, according to the instructions on About.com

    Start run
    Control userpasswords2
    Ok
entered the Admin username / password
    apply
    Ok

I also chose to reset my password & I typed my own password, then confirmed by having to retype.
It was after this, that my system froze at this point during the boot:

    WINDOWS STARTUP

(after which the system remains frozen at that time here.
I had to remove the battery - not only the AC. Nothing else has worked to close the screen.

I'm a cold sweat not knowing what to do!

I'm now back on my computer laptop 12 "tiny which is full of Trojan horses, for this type.

OK, I solved my problem where even the ridiculous screen fingerprint + Admin has become provide, and start going directly on my desk (I want it).

Here's what I did (more or less):

Each time screen went dark during the boot, I clicked F8.

    Then choose Win - XP.

The first time, it did not list which included "Last good known config."

But once I tried it, finally to display the list.

So I finally had to click on "Last know good configuration."

Of the process of restoration of the system (start, programs, accessories, tools)

.. .without April 27 date to restore my system to- BUT THIS TURNS OUT TO BE for NOTHING

.. .whereupon he TRIED to restart for April 27, configuration

    HOWEVER:

Then I heard this same heart-sinking beep, I had heard these days

    ... whereupon:

2 boxes of dialog as follows:

    1 dialog box:

    Windows logon

    Gray:

... the username: Admin... Password: @.

    2nd dialog box:

The system could not log. Make sure your username and domain are correct, then type your password again.

And then the stupid ADMIN-chess-pieces clickable icon displayed

    .. then I clicked it

    What:

    RESTORATION INCOMPLETE

Your computer cannot be restored Wednesday, April 27. No changes have been made to your computer.

But then, when you click OK, the desktop appears.

So I said - that the heck - I'll go to:

    ... CONTROL PANEL, USER ACCOUNTS

.. .once here, I chose 'change password '.

.. then typed the password I had used during password reset fatal

... VOILA! for some reason which I can't understand, I am up & running

(because not only it starts now OK,

.. but the icing on cake, it's he doesn't now know this absurd of fingerprints fingerprints-admin. screen

  • Windows 7 - screen goes to sleep when the parameters of plan of power has never turn off

Looking for some advice - we have screens that display information for visitors so that they must be all the time. The computers to which they are connected are on the network but connected with local accounts. We applied a number of parameters for the management of food, namely:

Turn the hard drive off - never

    Sleep after - never

    Allow hybrid sleep - never

    Hibernate after - never

Selective suspension of USB - disabled

Turn off the display after - never

Despite the settings above the screens go blank and I have to move the mouse or press any key to wake up. It doesn't seem to be any obvious either pattern. Sometimes they remain turned on for 1-2 hours then go to sleep, other times maybe every 20-30 minutes.

I looked at several articles but could not find a solution that works for us. We tried to apply a GPO that defines power management in case something else might override the settings, but it did not work either.

The computers are running Windows 7 SP1.

Now I'm out of ideas. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Gary,.

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I understand that you have problems with power settings across computers connected to a network.

The computers are connected to a domain network, it would be better suited to the TechNet community.

  • I like to use my speakers instead of always put in my ear. How to turn the volume of the speaker on the iPhone OS?

I have an iPhone SE I would use the speaker instead of always put the phone to my ear, but the volume is not good at all on the speaker. Is there a way to increase the volume for the speaker?

You would turn the volume for the speaker during a call speaker. The volume buttons control different aspects of the volume, such as the ringing, the music, the volume of the speaker during a call. You change certain volumes based on what you happen to be in time. When you first unlock the phone and are simply looking at the home screen, if you press the volume buttons then, you set the ring volume. Change the speaker volume when in a call of the speaker, is that in the call itself, just like changing the volume of the earpiece, that while in the call.
