  Do you mean that you have installed an AV (antivirus) program, only one?
  If so, it's OK.
  Once I got Avast free edition, it ran along the side with Windows defender. Never a problem between the 2.

  Personal opinion: I would never put AV on a production to address Oracle server itself,- and 'clean', I mean essentially what you say: it is not directly accessible by the public. It's behind a firewall; It has no functional connection to the Internet, etc. etc. etc.

  We also disable automatic updates on all of our Windows servers, because otherwise, there is a tendency for a production database that you want to die without notice that updates automatic kick in!

  We feel something weird right now. Since some time between 21 July and 22 all versions of AVG anti-virus are detecting the ADF as being infected by a virus JS/Redir javascript libraries.   A month ago, I realized that Hulu Desktop not working not. Gives me a generic error message. but nothing else. I thought that it was related with Hulu Desktop, then, naturally I looked for support on their site.

  During this time, I realized application Pandora AIR One did not work either. I thought that this might be related with Adobe Flash player or Adobe AIR. My first goal turned in this sense.

  Then I finally realized than iTunes, and also stopped the Cisco VPN client connection to the network.

  I use these applications on a daily basis, make none of the apps took about two weeks. Try to find a common solution in question, and possibly on another two weeks...

  Moreover, the rest of the applications work fine, no glicth: these are some of the applications, I use every day without any problem:

  • Internet Explorer
  • Chrome
  • Firefox
  • Opera
  • Safari
  • FileZilla FTP

  First of all the error messages I get:

  Windows Sidebar Gadgets (Weather, RSS Reader, etc.)
  Unable to connect to the service.

  Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client
  Connection failed: the host is unreachable.

  Hulu Desktop
  We're sorry, but Hulu Desktop is unable to connect to the server.
  Please check your internet connection settings and try again.

  Pandora
  Your computer has problems of connection to the network.
  Click 'connect' to try again.

  iTunes
  iTunes could not connect to the iTunes Store.
  Make sure your network connection is active and try again.

  This is the only application error messages. Windows is not trow an error.
  Here are a few things I tried, with the hope of resolving this problem of connection of mystery:
  (not in this specific Ref. necessarily)
  • Wireless connection with wired connection of switch to a router
  • Connect my laptop directly to the cable modem
  • Turning off Windows Firewall (firewall)
  • Reset the Windows Firewall to the default settings
  • Deactivation of Microsoft Security Essentials (anti-virus)
  • Open the computer in Mode safe mode with networking
  • Uninstall and reinstall these applications and the related necessary subsets such as Flash Player, AIR, etc.

  A friend suggested the creation of a local account on Windows. So I tried that too. I created two accounts; an admin and a guest. Not surprisingly (!) these requests, I'm having problems for almost a month or two, worked. No error message, just worked.
  Here's the thing: I still don't know what's causing this problem on my main account from the system.
  I can move all my settings and configurations of the new account system. But what happens if these problems occur again. It's already a big hassle, autour file transfer and the account settings.
  Has anyone out there have similar problems and/or has the answer, please help me. It's so frustrating. I appreciate any leads or you can provide solutions.

  Open Internet Options, Advanced tab. Click the reset button in the box 'Settings reset Internet Explorer'.
