Two Anti virus

(I write this issue for another laptop)
Two antivirus by mistake I installed on my laptop. Now when I start it, it take a lot of time and I can't access anything whatsoever. After starting, it shows me the home screen. I enter the password and it doesn't go away after a few minutes not seconds. Can he hang on, and I can't do anything with my laptop. Tell me what I can do to use it again correctly. I tried deleting stop and block and insert several times, but all is useless due to my mistake.

Please give me the proper solution.

Thank you

Hello

At least one uninstall... and Windows 8 comes with Windows Defender, which is a complete antivirus
in Windows 8/8.1. You can uninstall all others. I use Windows Defender on my

And if can't even put on my Anti Virus Application that it bothers Norton?

Because I take Norton is not a free application?
Because I've never known Norton to never give you something for free...

And if rooting is necessary to anyone can point me in the right direction on the way to the roots A2109 and remove all the nonsense I can't want?

I also read on here about also having to unlock the bootloader as well.
Also how can I do this?

Thanks again for any help you can give...

You cannot remove completely without root, but you can disable it.  In settings-> Apps, click on the 'All' tab, find Norton and select it, there should be a button 'disable '.

Frankly, neither of those who are known for good compatibility and usually cause problems.

Here's what I use and recommend: (all are free and work just fine.)

Avast and Prevx proved extremely reliable and compatible with all I have
launched on them. Microsoft Security Essentials and Prevx have also proven to be very
reliable and compatible. Use MSE or Avast and Prevx, Prevx 3 but not all.

  • System Restore causes anti-virus software malfunction?

I had a big problem with my antivirus program after that I did a system restore.

My antivirus provider said that the system restore deletes their program component
updates and definitions of model virus and causes a need to uninstall and
    Re - install their software.

The complaint is often coming from Symantec (Norton). Norton and McAfee are two anti-virus best left on the shelf. There are other products, many freeware, where you encounter any problems with the system restore.

I have two Trend Micro Agent and Kaspersky Anti - virus on my computer. Is this desirable?

    Hello

No, it isn't a good idea to have more than one program antivirus running at the same time.

The reason is that there is a great chance that the 2 programs will conflict with each other.

By ignorance I installed another anti virus on my pc while having activated the windows Defender, this may affect the protection of my pc?

    To clarify...

Do you mean that you have installed an AV (antivirus) program, only one?
    If so, it's OK.
Once I got Avast free edition, it ran along the side with Windows defender. Never a problem between the 2.

That said, it depends on what AV you have installed.
The following AVs will stop your built-in Windows Defender. This is because the AVs have their own advocates. To have 2 defenders running in the system will create conflicts. Thus, they will stop Windows Defender.
    That means... it's OK too.

Here are the AVs lsi which will stop Windows Defender:
    Microsoft Security Essentials
    Norton
    McAfee
    MOY.

I can send emails, but I can't get everything and they do not get copied to my "sent" folder.
I have two accounts (using the same installation of Thunderbird and the same IMAP server) and both have the same problem.
Thunderbird is more sought my for my passwords and after a while I get a message that says only that the connection has expired.
Before the connection times out, the text that appears on the bottom bar said current mail server features.
On another thread, someone suggested you connecting to customer account Web screw and remove the message oldest undownloaded Inbox because it might be a problem with the e-mail address that blocks Thunderbird, but all my emails undownloaded were received after that the problem began to occur.

I recently installed the latest version of Kaspersky Anti-Virus, so I suspect that it blocks the incoming connection. I tried to re - install Thunderbird to see if she could circumvent Kasperky or tell me what I need to do so that he could make an exception (or something like that). No luck.

Kaspersky support services do not seem to be worth anything, so I don't think I'll get any assistance to their end.

Any help here would be greatly appreciated,

  • I use Sophos Anti-virus and found Geneio and Kuklorist

I'm a newbie enough on Mac, having changed my PC a couple of years ago.  I don't have to download Sophos Anti-virus at the moment where I bought the iMac.  I have the OS X El Capitan, 10.11.4 edition.  I had very few problems until recently when I seemed to download a virus or a trojan.  I was actually going to favourable sites when it happened and happened twisted things and something came and said that I had downloaded a virus.  Don't know what the program which has been notified me.

It takes forever, forever, to run the anti-virus program Sophus, like 2 weeks to do (and it scans 2 external drives from 1 to 3 terabytes).

He did not find "viruses", but did fine "an item found" and "detected problems."  When I open the Quarantine Manager, he has a list of 109 separate lines (files) and named the whole Genieo thing.  All but two of the 109 lines have the extension "pdf.pronto" and are listed in my external hard drive (Seagate Backup Plus drive).  Both of which do not have the extension of pdf.pronto have ' macOS/appYM' and Kuklorist in line, like an uninstall and the other as "Application Support/Kuklorist".

I think I have maybe two? problems, as Genieo and Kuklorist, but that might have a single with two names.  I'm not sure.

A - J Sophos program could not automatically delete the files and told to remove them manually.  I have trouble finding a way to do it.  I looked in the community of Apple support and got a few suggestions more elderly (year 2014 and 2015), but cannot follow the steps (I can't use the Finder to locate the lines I should copy.)  I need help, anyone?

    Steve

Download and run Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for Mac:

    https://www.Malwarebytes.org/antimalware/Mac/

That should solve the problem of Kuklorist.

Try the following steps to Geneio:

  • Windows Update disables competing anti-virus programs

I use Norton anti-virus for nearly a decade.  For this reason, I have not installed Windows Security, as it is in conflict.  I do every week a routine Windows Update.  Two nights ago, it looks like Windows Update automatically installed Windows security without my permission.  This has created a huge conflict with Norton anti-virus, various alerts of infection appeared and my network of connections have been disabled.  I had no choice but to do a system restore and disable Windows Update altogether.  I want to update Windows for occasional useful bugfixes, but cannot take the risk of extreme hassle of security of Windows being installed without my permission.  Any ideas?

So far, the system restore and the sweet Norton seems to have fixed.  But he was mean.

  • What is the prevalence of viruses, malware, etc., to be hidden and undetectable by anti-virus software?

    • As before, when my computer when my computer has been infected, I get a svchost.exe error, repeatedly, whenever I restart the computer. The infection has been discovered that the last time by my anti-virus software, because it was hidden.  It was a computer expert on this forum who told me my computer was infected by svchost.exe repeated error messages that I received.  I ran my Avast software, anti-malware software from MSFT Security Center, Win Defender, etc. this time, and it has detected no infections.  (Yes, I know what to do to pass this message means not necessarily my computer is infected, but the tech guy said that it is likely, given that the error message appeared on several occasions).  How detect and destroy the virus/malware hidden, etc?
    • Also, if anyone can answer another question... I was told that it is not recommended that I have two programs of anti-virus software, which I do - Win Defender and Avast (I guess they may conflict).  I tend to want to keep Avast, but would like to know if I have to keep Win Defender instead, because it is a Win a Win system program.  If I've got this me getting rid of one of them, is it recommended that I both uninstall and then reinstall one of them?

A person help would be appreciated!

    Thnx, Dharma

WHAT I HAVE: Win XP Media Center, MS Office 7 Professional (used at home), IE8, Outlook 7, HP w / 32-bit dual core processor, latest version of Avast & Win Defender, Srvc Pack 2 and 3 (although I know that I don't need 3 because I have not upgraded to Win 7, but it won't let me uninstall it!) and regularly updates Win.

PS Please ask questions if you have, before you answer, so it will be less likely that I'll get the wrong answers that don't relate directly my questions! (Can say you that has already happened?  (LOL).

You pouvez have a type of rootkit of malware infection.  Rootkits can transform and change of identity on your OS (and are difficult to detect and remove) and many computing professionals recommend a reinstall of the operating system in order to ensure that the rootkit is removed.

Follow the suggestions in the Brian - post.  The link that he provided is an excellent reference.   If you have a rootkit, TDSS Killer or one of the other programs listed pourrait be able to remove it.

    You can also:

You can get free help in the removal of malware from MS Support here: http://supportservices.microsoft.com/support/services/virus_malware_removal

If you are in North America, you can call the MS Support to 866-727-2338 for help with infections of virus and spyware.

For international information see your subsidiary local technical support site.

Or get assistance from Avast at: http://www.avast.com/support

You have SP3 on your Win XP OS and if you plan to switch to Win 7 make sure that your processor and RAM will manage Win 7... with your history of technology issues a reformatting/clean install of Win 7 would be a good idea.  Because of the possibility of conflicts, I do not recommend using Windows Defender with Avast or any other resident AV program.  Suggest uninstall you Windows Defender in Control Panel.  MSE and several other AV programs require the removal of Windows Defender in XP (or disabling the Defender in Vista and Win 7).

    Kind regards...
