That ReadyNAS has two ethernet interfaces, which I had connected without adherence to the network.

All Mac on the network would be fix and update the sparsebundle on the ReadyNAS for some time (two days for example) and then each machine would begin to complain that the destination does not exist. One solution would be to reboot the NAS and things would work for a while.

How I solved this problem is to simply unplug one of the NAS ethernet ports and run on a single interface.

I guess that there is a conflict in the NAS with Hello or other discovery services and some confusion about the interface gets introduced to the network. This seems to change with the times.

I could possibly get a switch that supports the binding, but for now I would like to be able to run both interfaces if possible (I pay for them after all)

  • Using TCP on the second ethernet interface

    Hello

I use a PXI 8109 Pharlap module running.

I try to use the second my PXI ethernet interface to send UDP and TCP packets. The main interface is used to manage channels Veristand.

Here is the configuration of my two ethernet interfaces:

    -eth0 (primary):

    IP: 10.0.0.3

    subnet mask: 255.0.0.0

    -eth1:

    IP: 192.168.10.9

    subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

For UDP, I have no problem, the packets are sent to the second interface as I want to. I think it works because there is an entry "network address" on the "Open UDP" VI so that the system can choose the right interface.

For TCP, I use the VI "to open a TCP connection" but there is not that kind of entry. And it does not work: I suppose that the system tries to use the main interface, but it can route packets...

For more information, my two networks is physically independent.

Can you help me find out what is happening? Is it possible to use the TCP protocol on the second ethernet interface?

    Thank you very much

    Kind regards

  • How can I put wireless and ethernet interfaces together?

I have a 877w router, and I'm trying to set up a wireless network.

I have a bridged RFC1483 ADSL, so I ATM0.1 in a group of bridge, and then, I defined an interface BVI1.

However, after you have configured the wireless interface, I noticed that my laptop is the IP address of the supplier, as if wireless had precedence on the BVI interface. Put the Dot11 interface in a separate bridge under VLAN1 does not seem to help either. I tried to put everything in the same bridge, but fast ethernet interfaces do not support address (how the British Virgin Islands work then, I wonder).

What should I do? Use two VLANS separated? I wouldn't do that. Any help appreciated. Thank you

Hey, thank you, that did it.

So I followed the article. I guess I don't understand how the British Virgin Islands. Of the article, I thought them then were at the same level, i.e. all the right behind the ATM interface. I also thought that a BVI able to fill several VLANS. Now my next mission is to understand why I was wrong on both counts.

Guys, thank you very much for the help. Now I'll try to better understand what I :-)

  • VMware device with 2 network cards claiming the same IP address with two MAC addresses

    Hello.

I see messages intermittent my gateway network two MAC addresses associated with a virtual machine running on a 5.5 ESXi host for the same IP address.

The virtual machine is a MiTel 3300 controller for a VOIP system. the system is configured with two IP addresses, one on the local network and another with a public IP address in the DMZ. In the network configuration of the 3300, I assigned the address LAN IP at 00: 0C: 29:30:B2:B2 and the DMZ IP at 00: 0C: 29:30:B2:BC (Mac for network devices presented by the ESXi host virtual machine).

On the host, I configured a vSwitch with exclusive access to two physical network adapters on the host machine. The vSwitch is configured with two machine virtual port groups, LAN and DMZ, with access to the physical network interface cards. Tab grouping of groups vSwitch port NIC, I replaced the order of failover of the switch to activate an active NETWORK card only for the Group of LAN ports and the other card NETWORK only for the DMZ port group. (I don't know how the content of the column of networks is determined. Neither is correct for the traffic on the physical switch. If these are configurable, please advise and I'll change the settings). The relevant parameters of vSwitch, groups of ports and VM are distinguished below.

On the virtual machine itself, through the VMWare host, I assigned 00: 0C: 29:30:B2:B2 for the Group of LAN ports and 00: 0C: 29:30:B2:BC to the DMZ group port (best I can tell, anyway, since the MAC address field annoyingly obscures the last two digits of the MAC address - break if I invert the mapping) (, but all seems OK).

The goal here is to make sure that MACs of ports vSwitch the 3300 is listening and sending always correspond to the physical ports that are VLAN Tag by the physical switch to ensure the routing. Generally speaking, it seems that what is happening but, intermittently, we cross one-way calls that suggests a problem of routing between us and our SIP trunk provider; coinciding with these incidents, I get an email along the lines of "the security in the network device has detected a conflict of IP address with two or more devices. The period of INVESTIGATION "DMZ. DMZ. DMZ. DMZ' is claimed by the following clients with MAC addresses: ' 00: 0C: 29:30:B2:B2' ' 00: 0C: 29:30:B2:BC'. »

I did something in the configuration that would lead to this kind of collision intermittent? Have a hacked together a way to do something that could be accomplished in a way that is simpler and more reliable?

Thanks for any idea that you can offer.

    Kind regards

    J.

I probably don't fully understand your configuration, but it seems that you are not interested in using the collection of NETWORK adapters in the virtual switch of the VM MiTel 3300.

If it is correct, why not create two virtual switches, each with a group of port (LAN and DMZ) unique and with a separate connection of (vmnic2 and vmnic1)?

In general, collection of NETWORK adapters may be used to share traffic between uplinks and ensure that if one of the uplinks connect fails, a virtual machine still has access to the network.

  • vCell Setup with two IP addresses and routing

    Hello

My networking team suggested the following configuration:

VLAN-Public: first card network load balancing

    VLAN-squatting: second nic load balancer

VLAN-front: first and second nic vCloud Cell01 and even for vCloud Cell02

    VLAN-Back: vCenter / ESXi / vShieldMgr / SQL / etc.

Traffic / routing between VLAN-front and back - VLANS are possible.

Now, I installed vCell01 with two network cards, each one IP address: 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.1.11.

vCell02 with two network cards, each one IP address: 192.168.1.2 and 192.168.1.12.

Installation was no problem, connect to SQL went smooth.

But then I noticed that I could not reach 192.168.1.11 since the vCenter Server. Which makes sense, now that I think of it, given that traffic from the vCenter for 192.168.1.11 lights eth1, but due to the default gateway will leave on eth0. And vCenter probably won't like that.

    My questions:

-Can I solve this through routing changes to the routing of the vCells table?

-Should I do a complete change in my configuration / network design?

-Should I continue and do not worry vCenter being unable to reach 192.168.1.11.

    Advice welcome

    PS: Using CentOS 6.5

    Concerning

    Gabrié

I ran into a similar problem with asymmetric routing when I first set up my vCloud multi-homed cells.  In my case, the IP address for each interface was on a different subnet, but the approach is the same for your scenario.  You must add that some policy based routing using iproute2 commands rules.

Here's a great article that describes the problem and the solution: http://www.linuxjournal.com/article/7291

For your question, you probably want something like this:

    Cell01:

    / sbin/IP flush table 1 road

    / sbin/IP flush table 2 road

/ sbin/IP route add default via dev eth0 table 1

/ sbin/IP route add default via dev eth1 table 2

    / sbin/IP rule add from 192.168.1.1/32 table priority 1 500

    / sbin/IP rule add the priority of 192.168.1.11/32 table 2 600

    Cell02:

    / sbin/IP flush table 1 road

    / sbin/IP flush table 2 road

/ sbin/IP route add default via dev eth0 table 1

/ sbin/IP route add default via dev eth1 table 2

    / sbin/IP rule add from 192.168.1.2/32 table priority 1 500

    / sbin/IP rule add the priority of 192.168.1.12/32 table 2 600

    Good luck!

Just add the two addresses of Thunderbird. The first time you run it, it will ask you to create an account.

Later, you can go via file | New | Existing account Mail and add another.

Or tools | Accounts settings | Accountable for the Actions and add a Mail account.

Or Application Menu. New Message | Add an existing account.

  • Mac Mini - no Ethernet Interface

    Hello

I have the Mac Mini 2011 model, and I've been using an Ethernet for some time, have not had any problems, connection worked perfectly until now. First of all, there is no internet connection, so I have just connected to wifi for a bit, then I went into System Preferences - network, where more ethernet it indicated "cable disconnected" even if the cable is connected. I checked that the cable is not the issue, work on other devices. So I have that if I just remove the ethernet interface with - button, and then add it again with the + button that would solve the problem. However, now ethernet interface does not even upward in option:

I'm currently under OS X El Capitan 10.11.3.

Please help resolve this annoying problem, because the ethernet port is the key for the speeds for me.

    Thanks in advance!

  • Ethernet interface disappeared

As I rebooted my laptop this morning, I didn't more wired Ethernet network. I have not installed updates yesterday, but yesterday it worked correctly. It is not a problem with the router or the cable, because it works correctly with the other laptop. The router detects when I connect the cable (the port lights) but the router has no ARP entry for the connection (only for wifi that I need to write this question). In addition, it still works the WiFi.

Restarting the laptop does not help. I opened 'Network Preferences' and I removed the Ethernet network in order to recreate, but surprisingly, the 'Ethernet' interface does not appear in the list more (it is available WiFi, Firewire, Thunderbolt 1, Thunderbolt and Bluetooth PAN bridge). With the Network Diagnostics didn't help either. I also tried to test the equipment with the Apple Diagnostics (by pressing D when starting the laptop), but I did not need to start the diagnostics.

It seems that the ethernet driver has been uninstalled or misconfigured.

I have a Mac Book Pro (2011) with OSX El Capitan.

Any advice on what to do?

    Thanks in advance

    Good afternoon

  • Everyone was able incorporate a PS-2000 as an Ethernet on PC distributed i/o interface?  In other words, have the PS-2000 as a FP-1600 Act?

    Ed

    Hi edlad,

After playing with a FP-2010 for a while, I think you need to install LabVIEW Real-time on the controller to make it work, even though you are technically not to use it because you are not running a VI/executable on the controller. Regarding your problem with the installation of LabVIEW 8.5.1 on a PS-2000, it is disturbing because it should not be a problem that at all. In fact, I have personally been able to install LabVIEW 8.5.1 on many FP of the 2000s. For that matter, I suggest reformatting of the PS-2000 of MAX and try again.

ThinkG: Regarding your question on the use of a PSC-2220 to connect with belvedere, I don't know because the support of Lookout is managed by our subsidiary in Shanghai by e-mail only. However, I don't know that you can use this second ethernet port to connect with another network (cFP-180 x) FieldPoint module using the FieldPoint drivers. Here are some good articles about this configuration knowledge base. I hope they are useful.

    Hello world

    Hello

Fast Ethernet card is one of the option for a higher speed T1/E1, other TDM options that can be offered are DS-3 and STM1 that can be offered on infra nominal basis as well. For example, you can subscribe for 10 MB BW on 45 MB access.

The answer to your second question, is that there could be a possibility that you have subscribed for VPN (EVPL or VPLS) L2 or L3 VPN (MPLS).

Woks of L2 VPN on labels VLAN and L3 VPN termiantes on a device of L3.

    Hello

Anyone have the problem that the C1140 - K9W7 (or C1135) Gigabit interface

sometimes "blockages" due to problems of queue (from what I understood it was the problems of queue)?

I got this AP, C1140-K9W7 with IOS 12.4 (21a) JA1 and noticed that it did not

any entry of packets to the interface, Gigabit, County of drop 0 but strangely the entrance queue

information was that he had size 81 and 80 max... seems to me that the treatment of the queue

    code hanging somewhere...

The output interface is OK however (the AP sends arp requests..).

I did some research but could not find any information on this subject, also followed the

steps to try to resolve what was causing this, without success [1]. The rating of IP traffic

shows that the interface receives packets, but they are not under treatment and "not".

droped too (at least the number of drop is 0).

If I reboot the AP it works OK Yes... I can still access the console (via serial) and it

in the case where there is no suggestion of procedure, is still in this State.
