Two monitors can be recognized at once

I have a laptop VAIO running Windows 7 with two connected monitors. A monitor is connected via the VGA port, the other is connected to the HDMI port. (ETA: the two monitors are identical, and one that is connected to the HDMI port is connected using a VGA/HDMI adapter.) I tried to set up my extended display monitors, however, I am only able to extend the display with a monitor at a time on the screen of the laptop (my goal is to extend the display on both screens only).

When I go into Control Panel to manage the display options, and I click on "Connect to a projector", click on "Disconnect the projector" to display the screen of my laptop on the left monitor, and click on "Projector only" to display the screen of my laptop on the right screen. When I click on measure, nothing happens - poster currently any screen is the only one that displays while the other remains off.

When I click on the monitors that are displayed in the screen resolution window and then click on "Extend these screens", I get an error message that says: "Cannot save the display settings." He let me just save my settings if I select 'Show desktop only on 1' or 'Show desktop only on 2 ". It will not save my settings if I select "Extend these screens" or "duplicate these screens.

I've been at this all morning without success. Both monitors worked as well as ports for HDMI and VGA, but I can't seem to get the monitors and the two ports to work at the same time. Can someone help me please find a way to display on both screens at the same time?

It should be possible to support another external monitor with a USB display adapter.

See an example here.

If you have a videocard head double, Yes. Look at the back of your PC. Most new computers have a video port VGA and DMI.

Connect each monitor using the appropriate wiring. Restart Windows, right click on a clear part of the desktop display and select Properties.

  • Two monitors of Pavilion P6610f

A previous post on this topic left unanswered question of the user.    I have a Pavilion p6610f product #BM417AA #ABA.  Given that this machine has both a output VGA AND DVI output, it is possible to have TWO monitors (working simultaneously) provided that a monitor is analog (VGA) and the other monitor is digital (DVI)?  I didn't "want to go to the load of the material, if only one of the two monitors can be used at a time.  Thank you.

The chipset on the motherboard is able to handle two monitors. And I found this on the motherboard page: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02560084

Integrated graphics: concomitant use of DVI and VGA ports is supported.

So, Yes, it seems to support the two ports.

  • HP Envy 15 t-3000: two monitors

So I was wondering if I could use two external monitors with this laptop. They would be an ASUS VN248 23.8 in. and an e2250swdn AOC 21.5 inches. So far I would intend to use a VGA to HDMI converter / for the COA and a converter USB to VGA for the ASUS.

USB to VGA system requirements are:

    • Available hi-speed USB 3.0 port
    • Windows XP / 7 / 8
    • Processor: Intel / AMD single core processor 1.5 GHz or higher
    • RAM: 512 MB memory or more

From now on, I am currently using the ASUS via a HDMI cable and it works perfectly. I would also certainly use only the two external monitors.
The USB/VGA also mentions a compatibility only with CRT / LCD monitor, projector and nothing else. I realize description does not stop with etc, but could possibly use a LED monitor too with this converter by chance?

    Hi @Levy432

Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A place where you can find solutions for your problems with the help of the community!

I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your Notebook t-3000 HP Envy 15 and the question about your use of three or more screens simultaneously. Only two monitors can be connected using the (your laptop account 1) VGA, DVI or HDMI. Use three or more screens, to a DisplayPort dongle. Here is a document onconnect more than two monitors.

Please let me know how it goes.

  • Two monitors L2206tm - Windows 7 - can all both touchscreen make?

I didn't realize the L2206tm is a commercial monitor and I posted about it in the forum of home monitor products, then I copy the post here. I hope you guys can help me.

I have a custom desktop computer and I recently got two HP L2206tm monitors because they were on sale. My computer running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. I have two monitors connected USB ports on the desktop, but if I touch one of the screen of one of them, the click or scroll or any action that happens on the other monitor. Is it possible, and if so, what is the easiest way to set up two monitors to use the touch screen feature? Is there a software to help make this process easier?

AFAIK, you can't touch on two screens in the calibration mode. In Clone mode, it works; but it's probably not what you're looking for.

    You can try the below:

Use the 'Tablet PC Settings' in the ' Control Panel/hardware.  Under 'Display Options', select a touch screen, hit calibrate, move the text to the selected touch screen while pressing on enter (incase you have extra monitors) then MOVE your mouse to this screen and click on the text.   Then calibrate the monitor and following the instructions in the calibration.  Once the first monitor is installed, follow these instructions again for each additional touch monitor.

  • Can I hurt my graphics card by running two monitors?

I use a 15 Mid-2010 "MacBook Pro with a NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M 256 MB. I usually run two monitors from 15 "when I'm using photoshop or to CAD drafting, but I'm considering upgrading to a 27" of 2560 x 1440 monitor. Is there a risk of damage to my computer or the graphics card by doing this? I would like a larger screen to work, but he also takes my computer to last a little longer and can't hurt it. Thank you!

  • Do I have reason to infer that I can't get two monitors running on my HP Pavilion Elite HPE - 410 t?

I got the Pavilion Elite HPE - 410 t with the included nVidia GeForce 315 graphics card and tried to get two monitors put in place. I have two VGA screens and I run one of them off the coast of DVI using a VGA port to DVI, and it works fine. However, I can not all signals from the built-in VGA port, so I started to look around the site of HP. I came across a page that lists the motherboard Plug and he shouted that the embedded video is not available if a graphics card is installed.

Thus, it seems that I am out of luck, but I just wanted to see if anyone could tell me if it is maybe something obvious that I'm missing. My nVidia monitors also has an HDMI port, but I understand that I would need a HDMI monitor to be able to use this port.

Can someone let me know if I'm wrong in my understanding of my options, or if there is an easy solution?

    Thank you.

    Hello

Yes, you are right to assume that if you have a video card installed, the integrated graphics chip is disabled.  Looking at the specifications of your card (see link below), he suggests that it has a VGA, DVI and HDMI connection.  However, I realize that these specifications vary and may not apply to the card that you have.

    NVIDIA GeForce 315

If yours doesn't have the VGA adapter, then your also had reason to assume need you a monitor with an entry in order to use 2 monitors HDMI.

    Kind regards

  • Can I connect two monitors to a PC Tower? cc = us

Can I connect two monitors to a PC Tower?

Yes, you can connect two monitors to a PC Tower... but your PC should have several outputs that are concomitant supported and your monitors must have matching entries to make it work. If your system does not support multiple and simultaneous outputs there are other options to solve this problem.

  • can I put my taskbar across two monitors?

I hooked to a monitor to go with my laptop and I want the taskbar to be available on both screens. I want to continue to use the dual monitors as separate screens (I put "extend these screens") can I do? Also if there is another cool thing I should know about using two monitors like this, because this is the first time I've ever used this feature.

You will need to use a non-microsoft program to do what you want to do. You can use a program like Ultamon to do. However, most if not all of these programs are not free. UltraMon has a free 30 day trial, but you would have to pay to use it after that.

  • What video card can be added to the s330f to support two monitors?

I want to add a second monitor to my HP Pavilion s330f.  I think I'll have to add a video card that supports two monitors.  Since this is a slimline box, size is a matter in addition to compatibility.  What cards can be used?

I was unable to locate a "s330f" on HP support site. Please provide the number of name and/or product of full model specific aid. Assuming you have a HP Pavilion Slimline s3300f desktop PC, the power plant is only rated at 160 watts and there is no PCIe cards x 16 graphics in your computer's power market will be based.

Depending on what you plan on using two monitors, because there may be an alternative to a new power supply and graphics card.

    (1) Day trading, word documents, spreadsheets and other... buy an adapter USB-to-video as the EVGA UV plus + UV19 or UV39.

    (2) game... not recommended

    (3) source a bigger power supply and the new graphics card for HP

    (4) source of a greater power of athenapower.com and a graphics card 'low - profile' from another source.

  • How can I get two jobs when using two monitors, instead of stretching a desktop on both screens?

    Hello!

How can I get two jobs when using two monitors, instead of stretching a desktop on both screens? I n ' want to clone my office, and I don't want to stretch it. I want two desktop computers, where I can "send/give" to the other desktop programs.

I need a third party program? It is very good. If you know one please tell me about it.

    Hi OskarKvist,

This feature is not supported by Windows XP.

However, you can use your favorite search engine to download any third-party software that could serve the purpose.

Note: Using third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

  • I can run two monitors on a p2-1394 desktop with windows 8?

My wife recently started home work to do at home, and she asked me if we could run two monitors.  I thought it was easier to ask first to go buy one and then knowledge I can not. Thank you!

Here are the specifications of your desktop HP p2-1394. Based on the specifications, it has a VGA output (analog) and DVI - D output (digital only). You should be able to use a digital DVI - D monitor and a VGA analog monitor at the same time.

    (2) - DVI - D (digital only) (3) - VGA (analog only)

I am looking to buy desktop Inspiron i660-5041BK but need to connect two monitors to it.  I think I can with the HDMI and the regular monitor port.  What do you think?

Can use something like this HERE, or HERE, but it would be better to put a map, where you will have a better choice of connectors. I that you intend to use the HDMI, then you will need a something similar to what I proposed to make it work.

  • Can I have different screen on two monitors background images?

    I use two monitors side-by-side.

There is a supply virtually unlimited background images to display, including the pre-made themes and slideshows, but no way I can find to have different images on each monitor.

    Am I missing something?

    Hello

Windows 7 doesn't have this built-in capability. There are third-party software multi-screen solutions.

I also use two monitors and I think a better ioption is to use two screens wallpaper. It is an image large enough to cover both monitors. For example, I have two monitors set in 1680 x 1050 and I use a screen background image which is 3360 x 1050 and set the tile option. It's a cool effect.

There are a lot of websites that offer these dual monitor wallpapers. Just use your favorite search engine and look for "wallpaper bi-ecrans".

    I hope this helps.

Thank you for using Windows 7

  • Having two monitors on Windows 7 - I want to display for the separate background images on each monitor. How can I do this?

I have two monitors.  I'm running on Windows 7.  I would like to be able to display a different image on each desktop screen background.  Is there a way I can achieve this or a program I can download to be able to do this?  If yes what to do or how? If not, why not and how long will there be a way to do this?

You can search for 'tools bi-ecrans' free programs to do it automatically. There is a manual way, but it can be a lot of time and can be difficult to get the results you want according to your configuration.

For what is built in the feature, which was added in the next upcoming version of Windows.
