polls fieldpoint is therer better?

I have inherited an old project and concluded that the outdated software must be rewritten in part due to what appeared in the thread of bad code and in part because of the major changes. The task is moved to the top of my list of things to do and now I need fighting this beast.

The rigging has 7 input modules and output modules 5. In order to secure the platform there are a number of entries that need to be monitored, and there are also a number of noisy entries that should be filtered and the average to give a signal more smooth.

In short, my normal approach with a USB DAQ device would be too taste (up to 100 Hz) in a buffer and average/reading process if necessary.

However, I have not used a Bank of fieldpoint of this size before, and I didn't screw that queries the fieldpint banks:

Is there a way for me to buffering the fieldpoint, or a way to ask the time?

Ed,

A full reading at any given time is as good as it gets. .Vi WriteRead FP (polymorphic) is spread by NOR to be the most effective means for reading/writing to the FP modules.

Several of these modules have a configurable filter built in.  Remember that the overall rate of update of the module will vary according to the filtering options are selected.

  • Better protection for Canon 200 with f2.0 lens

Hello guys! I have a Canon 200 f2 lens and I'm looking for a better protection of the front element in addition to the range hood. So far, I saw people recommending the lens of Don Zeck and LensCoat Hoodie Cap. Does anyone have any experience with one and 200 f2? Or are there better alternatives?

Also, would you recommend the LensCoat coverage for complete protection of the lens? Alternatives?

Thanks a lot for your suggestions. Have a good!

    Karren

I recently bought a 300 f2.8 L IS used and it came with the Don Zeck lens cap & I learned since it is a very well respected Cape. On another forum, I belong to the Hoodies were also highly recommended & so were coats of lens & considering I bought the objective value, I bought both. On what style of lens coat ruled on the most difficult part for me but finally I went for the camo style. It protects the majority of the lens, but not all of it, but as someone who respects his material, but who uses it also as expected that I am satisfied with the additional protection for a dollar. A recommendation on the hood was to remove the drive which makes forward rigid IF you think that you would take your goal (& maybe with your camera) on the front of the lens hood. In this way there is no risk that it is not sitting on the floor.

El Capitan is buggy as a swamp in this thing (mid-2011 Mac Mini). Got it works just agree with 10.11.6. Are there beta experience with Sierra that suggests that it will be better? If so, should I uninstall first OS - X?

If they do they can not answer you due to the NDA, they signed to join the beta team.

Since I saw no problem with El Capitan, I suggest that you download and install EtreCheck from http://etrecheck.com/

Run it and post the report here. Maybe after reviewing the report of EtreCheck we can help you to fix your Mac.

  • -What 'Photos' dumb down of your photos?

I have been very reluctant to use the program 'photos', because I don't like not how Apple 'pitfalls' photos in a library.  I want raw photos in a folder that I can just access without dealing with any program.  The problem is of course that there is no good way to browse the photos otherwise!

In any case, question: when the pictures are imported in 'photos' apple them change somehow? I like that they get reformatted in any way that could make them less high resolution of the raw file.

Second question - hard disk bloat.  It seems that if I import my photos in 'photos' and then end it by circulate in two copies - the original and then this massive, mysterious 'library' file which bloats and swells until I have no more space left.

The truth to these two questions? Anything out there better than 'photos' that I can use to browse reliable my photos without bloating the hard drive?

    Thank you!

Then PHotos is not the app for you.  It is an application of DAM (digital asset management) based on a system of database SQUEL.  It keeps the intact original/master file as a digital camera negative and non-destructive applies all changes to a preview version.

When you want the original file intact outside the library there are two ways to get to it:

1 option-do drag the thumbnail on the desktop.

2 - use of the unmodified ➙ ➙ export Original export file for X pictures... menu option.

The photo library allows you to assign keywords, titles and descriptions of images to help identify and search for photos.  Images can be in several groups without occupying additional disk space.

I bought a new M200 Tablet PC January last year, and I was happy with my choice. But 3-4 months ago launched machine fo freeze randomly when running Win XP Tablet edition - from initial installation. I reinstalled using the recovery DVDs, but not pursued gel model. And for about 2-3 weeks he startet freeze every time I used windows - after using it for about 2-20 minutes...

I tried to install win2k and the latest beta2 of Vista, but Ut still freezing. - Then I made a funny discovery... It never froze when running one of these versions of win in safe mode! I can run for hours with no problems - but it's not funny to use it in safe mode all the time but...

I can't find all the topics like this here - anyone know this problem? Maybe just a hint?

    Hello

The Toshiba Recovery CD contains all drivers Toshiba, tools and utilities, and other patches of Microsoft Windows.
In my opinion your device freezes on the original Windows installation because Toshiba stuff was not fully installed and/or some Microsoft updates fails.
The order of the proper installation of application of Toshiba is also necessary to use the laptop without interruptions or errors.
In this case I would recommend urgent to use the Toshiba Recovery CD.

You also suggested that you used the Windows Vista Beta 2 version.
I read a lot of comments here in the forum about the using Vista at the moment. Always is that this OS is not official on the market and it is not working properly because there BETA Version.
I think that we must wait for the right drivers and, finally, the version of Vista

  • Unable to connect to localhost - web sharing does not?

I recently upgraded from the Mavericks to El Capitan. Before the upgrade, I could go to localhost/folder/file to test php files that I had in Library/WebServer/Documents/but since the upgrade I just get "Unable to connect" message in my browser.

The first thing I checked was in system preferences > sharing Web. It was not so I have tried to market. When I do the cursor moves on IT and the words say "web sharing is on", but the dots are red. If I close the web sharing control panel and reopen it is OFF.

The second thing that I tried was running on apache in the Terminal, but he says that it is already running.

Then I tried this trick and got the following error:

    apachectl configtest

AH00526: Error on line 20 of /private/etc/apache2/extra/httpd-mpm.conf syntax:

Command not valid 'LockFile', perhaps misspelled or defined by a module not included in the server configuration

Have tried Googling this syntax error and tried a few solutions, but just make more and more confused now. Maybe someone out there better than I understand what is happening? Thank you very much in advance.

What is in your file httpd - mpm.conf around line 20.

I have no reference to "LockFile" anywhere in the config file, so looks like there's something wrong with the file.

  • OfficeJet 4620 wants to power down, but won't start button / stop

Most of the time the printer/scanner works fine, but sometimes it "sulking" and wants the power off, but won't the power button.

I have a switch in the extension cord to the electric line which I use in these moments there (better than pulling the plug?).

When the current is applied again the printer usually goes back to work.

Sometimes he blames me for not using the power button - I really try that and generally goes back to work when I promise to do better in the future.

Yet at other times, he wants the power cut off, even once.

The printer is connected to the router via wifi.  Two computers are connected by ethernet to the router using Windows XP or Linux (via hplip).  One or more laptops can be connected to the router using Win7 or Linux (via hplip) wifi.

(Really) thanks for your help and suggestions, but I think I've reached my limits.  I followed your link and entered the information produced.  The result is that the warranty expired 11 days ago.  It's an interesting period of guarantee; ten days of 27 months.  I bought September 15, nearly 11 months ago.

  • State machine with acquisition different modes/loops

    Hi all

I did a machine design to State (as described here) to organize three (mutually exclusive) process / States: idle, measurement of calibration and continuous measurement. Calibration must be performed before measurement, because the result of the calibration is used for measurement. The data entry is a camera that should run continuously, also in rest mode.

The problem however is that this state of calibration and continuous measurement (should) have another method of data acquisition. The measure is continuous and the images are processed in real time. To calibrate a number N of images should be accumulated and treated (simply create a background image).

In the state machine as I have now (see attached image), I have the acquisition of vision outside the state machine in order to have a live view at any time. The problem now is that the inner loop in the State of calibration (the loop that must accumulate the framework) accumulates of course that the first framework N times, it is not question for all new managers during this State.

    Of course, I could fix this with an if/else statement in the first calibration mode accumulate images (if I< n,="" accumulate="" frame="" in="" buffer="" and="" continue),="" but="" i="" am="" not="" convinced="" that="" having="" a="" lot="" of nested="" loops="" is="" the most="" elegant="" way="" to="" do="">

This also got me thinking, is the state machine, as I built it here all the best way to manage these two processes/acquisition modes? Or are there better ways to do this?

Contributions and comments are very much appreciated!

Note: I know that loop as scheduled now in State calibration is wrong with shift registers. It was a test before I realized that the fault was in the interweaving of the state machine altogether.

Please do not attach pictures, but rather post executable code, screws (easier) or as extracts from LabVIEW (which became the screw when you drag in a block diagram).  If you have more than three attachments, compress the folder and attach the ZIP file.

I was once describing a system similar to yours, and one of my students, who was a computer science major, said "it's not a State Machine."  I had a similar situation to yours, where I had a procurement process which took time and a 'Stateful' routine that does different things with data (in your case, use it for calibration, waiting to 'Go', absorbent, etc.).

I understood that it was correct.  I ' D 'opposite' model, with the Acquisition, always running and "driving", the calendar and make 'Appropriate Action' on each set of data, where the Action could (and did) vary according to other conditions.  So I renamed my state machine 'Action engine', and everyone was happy.

So I won't bother looking at your code (a quick glance showed me that I have only would be frustrated by the limited view), but will give you a suggestion for an alternative architecture.

You want to (ideally) two parallel loops.  A single loop simply acquires the data (images) at some rate.  For each Image, it signals the loop else it's time to 'Action' on the acquired data (to do this, use a queue or the notifier).  You want that engine of the Action to perform independently the Acquisition loop, just in case a particular Action takes, say, 1.2 times sample to complete - you don't want 'Miss' samples!.

The loop of the engine of the Action is a unique, appropriate Action at the time, on the newly acquired data.  If you are in the 'State' calibration, the Action will be "add to the calibration.  When you have accumulated enough data to do calibration, set the following Action to (for example) 'wait to start the Signal.  When you receive the Signal to begin, take Action to "acquire, process and save data.  And so on.

As it happens, I did my code exactly in this way, but it was the idea General - Acquisition was the 'King', he ran the clock and led the ' Machine/Action State engine' to 'do the right thing, appropriate to the time' with the data.  See if this type of model is appropriate in your situation.

  • Maximize battery life flash by using the Scriptures of sector size file. USB and SD card storage limits Cap

I use the sbRIO-9636 with 512 MB of non-volatile storage (Flash I presume?).  I'm not find the size of the sector in the Spec Docs, I found it, and Measurement & Automation Explorer does not display it no more, and I can't find one physical property of RT to make it.  I built a utility 'RIO leader Writer"for the text written to the buffer until the sector size is full or until the file is closed using the VI, but it would be useful to know the sector size.  For now, I'll assume 32 KB as I read the 9606 uses 16 k with its 256 MB drive.

I have attached the utility (a single LV 2012 (VI) in case someone else would be useful.  I promise you there better performance or memory efficient, but its purpose was to save the Flash of my application, which supports the recording of data CAN (1000 + packets/sec) to the file, and it does that very well.  I continued to save the CAN data without it, with each written separately CAN package (~ 40 characters / record log, or ~ 820 written by sector of 32 KB), I probably would have started to lose areas in the next few weeks was not that of wear levelling - maybe even with wear leveling.  With that, life shouldn't be a problem (although the ability remains one, I can switch to USB storage if it is).

Come to think of it, this can help with all the data being quickly to any player, as all readers use sectors (or blocks of sectors), assuming that you can sacrifice the RAM requirements to register your system hard disk (or to).

Storage issues more:  What is the limit of the capacity of the SD and USB function storage on the sbRIO-9636 map?  The specification mentions support SDHC, but does not say specifically THAT SDXC is not supported.  It does support the monstrously huge SDXC cards or the max for SDHC (32 GB)?  In addition, with SD and USB storage, is size of block review?  LabVIEW has a property, I can read for all this that I don't see?

    Thank you!

    Hi Erik,

I was wrong, we have a LabVIEW function that will find the size of area for a specific drive, it's the Get Volume Info.vi (link). You can run this VI and the flash drive on the sbRIO to find the minimum size of sector for reference entries.

Regarding external drives to the USB port, I think you are right in your assumption about the limits of FAT16 and FAT32. Keep in mind there are also limits on file size of 2 GB or 3 GB of maximum file size.

Most of the USB-to-IDE adapters works for the sbRIO (or cRIO), but USB-to-SATA is not supported to work on sbRIO. You can always try to use a SATA-USB HARD drive, but it might not work.

  • Best way to share/update buttons on the front panel

    Hi y ' All!

I am a beginner in LabVIEW (2 years experience: 1.5 academic year and a team of the FRC and professionnellement.5 of mentoring as a new graduate in a startup).

We develop an application using LabVIEW which is intended to be user-friendly touch screen and we have so many front-facing button with which we are dealing. In order to make the code more readable in force and easily scalabe, I will like to know if there is an effective way to process orders from the front.

To illustrate, let's say I have this UI:

The real way we propagte these controls is to create a cluster of the reference of all controls (it's where I wish we had LabVIEW 2012-_-) once unbundle that we need in the appropriate section of the code (means it's a large number of sons everywhere...)

So are there better ways to achieve the same goal?

    Thank you!

I'm talking about a Controller of GUI in this thread. This can give you an idea.

  • Possible upgrade for my card WIFI (AR9285) (AR9280) Dv7-3065dx

    DV7-3065dx

    Windows 7 Edition Home Premium x 64

Hello, I am looking to update my map of current wireless (AR9285) for the ATHEROS AR9280 network so I can use my signal of 5 GHz of routers. It seems that when you shop, the AR9280 and AR5BHB92-H model number are interchangeable and I'm a bit hesitant to buy one on eBay because I don't know if they are really the same card or not. Another approach, that I took was looking in the maintenance manual for the part number of HP for the AR9280 and lists 518437-001 and it pulls up to some more expensive options to eBay.

For me, to go with the item listed indicating the number 518437-001 HP substitution feel safest, but it's because I don't know much on the subject, but I don't want to be a sucker newbie who buys the article itself at a marked up price.

My questions: are AR9280, AR5BHB92-H, 518437-001 the same card? I'm going to face problems of 'white list' with all the options? Also are there better options that I can look?

    I really appreciate the help.

    Hello:

Change a wireless card in an HP laptop, it's nothing less than a nightmare.

Here is the link to the service manual for your laptop.

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c02638165.PDF

Supported wireless adapters can be found in Chapter 3, beginning on page 3-6.

You can install one of the maps in the manual and it MUST have the part number HP on it or it won't work.

It's nice to buy a card supported on eBay, but you must query the HP part number, not the number of brand/model of the card.

First of all, I would like to input the part # s in the box on the link below and check the part number matches the description that you see in the list of the parts and the manual because several times the numbers in the manual is incorrect.

    http://h20141.www2.HP.com/hpparts/default.aspx?mscssid=2CC545FB8E2B4351A889652C6EADF3C1

According to the manual, there are only 2 cards of 5.0 GHz band supported (if the descriptions in the parts store game).

    1 Atheros 802.11a/b/g/n WLAN module 9280AGN

    2. 4322 Broadcom 802.11a/b/g/n WLAN module

The numbers are specific to each region so make sure that you select the right part number for the country you live.

  • create/remove graph sliders programattically

    Hello

In LabVIEW 2011, we are working with a single-trace graph that updates periodically; We need to draw programmatically the sliders during the race, as new data become available.  Initially, we just create a static array of cursors, made all invisible, then moved and makes them visible as they have become relevant; However, now we want to make the dynamic list.  It is best done by reading the list of cursor, manipulate the table according to the needs, and then writing it in the chart, or is there better ways?  The process is to identify peaks and valleys in a plot in ever-changing data.  I find it interesting that the user can create new cursors manually, but there is no property to allow the same programmatically; Ditto for remove them; the user created cursors use the default attributes that are not adapted to our needs.

I am looking for the solution less long-term, and rewrite the entire table seems to be unnecessary performance degradation.

Maybe we should create new sliders in blocks to reduce the number of updates to list of cursor?  I'd like to think the worst case is about 60 sliders, but as the peak detect algorithm is automatic, an unusual data signal could cause several hundred.  The graph will survive even this?  All the data will be, worst case, be something like 15000 data points.  Experiences/pointers/warnings will be appreciated.

    Thank you

I don't see any method to add a slider, so manipulate the table is the way to go.  You could save the time it takes for the reading list reading it only once, at the beginning and adding to what your field evolves.  You can limit updates to occur no faster that the operator can enjoy.  If your data adds dozens of peaks in a fraction of a second, you could get away with adding them at once per second or more.

  • Canon 18-200mm zoom lens

I'm new here.  I have a Canon T3i.  Two kit lenses came with it in a bundle... 18-55mm, 55-250mm.  I am considering getting the Canon 18-200mm.  Would be the Canon 18-200mm is a good choice to replace the two lenses, or are there better choices to replace them with and keep the 18-200mm too?

I wouldn't buy one for several reasons.  The one above all, it is more difficult to zoom, when the zoom range becomes very extreme.  18-200 is a 11 x scope and very ambitious to say the least. Not only in mind but in build quality, too. It will be in the same level of quality that the two glasses, the only advantage is to have just a lens so you.  Is that what you need? The superior advantage of a digital SLR is the possibility of having the right lens for the good work.  This implies usually several different lenses.  So you will be defeated this concept a little!

I'd rather see you get a different level of lens for example IS the Canon EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 USM Lens.  Directly by replacing your 18-55mm kit lens. Of course, it is in the case where you have does not work for you. But this approach is better built, better optics and a little more quickly the objective that can be very useful.  Don't get me wrong the Canon EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM lens is a very good lens and offers a constant aperture.  A great plus in my book.

Unfortunately these lens upgrades are expensive and replacing the 55-250mm is going to be even more.

  • Acer Switch 10-4 hoursbattery

Hey, that someone meet here with my problem. I just bought an Acer Switch 10 wih 32 GB of memory. 8.1 win of course is preinstalled. I tried to do a test bench, in which I ran a film loop for hours until what the battery dies or at least amounts to 10%. With a light in the middle and with the headphones and the volume in the middle. WIFI off!. I only got 4 hours! I found somewhere here on a diff topic title, there was a problem on 32 GB Switch 10, solution could be a BIOS. I see myself as a skill level medium on technology issues, which means that I'm not afraid to get into the BIOS, or update. Is there a new BIOS out there, better yet how to get the bios for my 10 Switch settings and get the version. I tried pressing f2 and f10 without result when it starts ups. I press the 'F' keys when I see the Acer logo, from a State of Win8 downtime. Hope someone here can help me as soon as POSSIBLE, it's frustrating to know that I got 4 hours of autonomy. I already rode the charging cradle for at least 3 cycles already. Thanks, gene

    Hey ironman,.

Please, run the following command at the command prompt in administrator mode:

    powercfg-energy-output c:\energy-report-ironman.html

Wait a minute, it will take a minute. It then creates a .html file in your c:\

Please see battery information , compare the designed and last full capacity, it will tell you how powerful is your battery against the factory 'maximum '.

Mine is 96% (souad, the smallest number with the higher, you will get the percentage). Mine will be about 5, 5 h with internet wifi.

    Thank you

    Hello

Thank you for using the HP forum.

Don't know how the 8 devices appear but have tried selecting (a final) and scanning and fact it 'stick' the next time start you a new search?

In addition, we recommend that you try to install the FULL features for your printer software. There better analyze the characteristics.

Can you confirm again your printer model? Can't find the 2023 HP on HP website.

Alternatively, you can try this software analysis as well:
