two-step verification solution
Anyone wishing to activate two concerns of audit step that Apple will not recover your account at any cost, if you activate this if you're responsible for it get locked anyway so I suggest you should do two icloud one account to use as the identifier apple to e-mailing and other purposes is your account to do anything you please keep security issues 25character less time each and use the false Date of birth, because for most people can easily find your date of birth of facebook or any other place and then keep the 25characters long number and sign included easy to remember password, then use the other icloud account as recovery email and activate the validation in two stages on this account the person cannot reach to that account and you will never be lost your apple id-apple is the only company who would never allow to reuse the icloud represent the new thank you Apple users for this this is the best way to secure your account if you agree as thank you

Hello r0be1,
Thank you for using communities Support from Apple. I know have a problem with two-step verification, it's not what you expect. If I understand correctly, you cannot check your SMS compatible phone, as stated in the article you condition. There are certain requirements, as you cannot use the fixed or the web of phone (VOIP) for the two-step verification services, and not all carriers support two-step SMS, as this article shows verification which carriers are eligible:

How to add a trusted device to the two-step verification
I have setup two-step verification on my Apple ID and there two numbers in place for audits.
I recently added an iPad to our devices and also restored two iPhones.
During the installation process, I was able to add these devices secure, so they now get verification numbers sent outside the SMS system.
Is there a way to add my MacBook Pro as a trusted device too? Currently, I can't get checks him via transfer of text from my iPhone if I send the check to one of the original phone numbers.

How to reset the two-step verification code that is sent to the old phone number.
I just upgraded to 10.11.4 El Capitan. I want to use the two-step verification code, but the activation code is sent to an old number attached to my apple id I got an online connection and was able to disable the two-step verification for now. I went to the 'manage account' to find where to update the telephone number verified that texting will. I don't see where this information is to change. A phone number is not listed in my section of the security of my account. Where can I find this information out of date to update?
Thank you, Janet D

Regain access to your Apple ID with two factor authentication - Apple Support account recovery
Given that two-factor authentication is not yet available for my account, I was looking for to put in place the two-step verification.
Any type of account recovery is available for users of two-step verification?
Or this option is available only for users of two-factor authentication?
Want to add more security to my account, I would like firstly to determine what are the dining options.
From my understanding, there is not a recovery option to account for users of two-step verification.
If someone could confirm please would be great.
"Recovery"? What are exactly are you afraid to lose and need to recover? Your password? No, two-step verification can help. The approach is quite different from two-factor authentication:

Two-step vs. two-factor authentication verification
I currently have the two-step verification enabled on my devices (iMac OS X 10.11.5, 6s and 9.3.2 iOS iPad iPhone), but I've recently learned that two-factor authentication is available.
1. I don't see what the difference is; two factors is better than two steps and - if so - how?
2. do I need to disable the two steps before moving on to two factors, if I decide to change?
Thank you.

Why can't I enter the country code of my phone number for the 2-step verification process?
I just upgrade my iPhone 6 to 10.0.2. In the home screen, you asked me to provide my phone number to register in the system of validation in 2 steps. However, + 82 (South Korea) is not on your scrolling list.
https://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=aPFbPt3KGqY
Hey aramkim80,
I see from your post that you are not able to enter the country code for the South Korea when setting up for your Apple ID security two-step verification of your Apple ID as much as possible is always a good thing, so I understand your concern.
Take a look at this article: frequently asked questions about two steps checking of Apple ID. This article presents a list of countries is available in two-step verification. I do not see the Korea of the South on the list of countries currently supported, it's why you're not able to do this.
Hope that answered this question for you.

Apple Watch to unlock some MacBook Pro Two Step
I have two factor turned on, connected to the same user on all devices but still get the "two-factor authentication is necessary to allow your Apple Watch unlock your Mac" when I click "Allow your Apple Watch unlock your Mac" in security and privacy preferences.
I signed on iCloud and back in, but still no luck... Any suggestions?
Are you sure that you are using two-factor authorization and non two-step verification?

Outside cellular service areas, IS those who know how the two step aunthicatuon process works in an iPhone 6, using the operating system iOS 9.3.4? Would a being completely locked out of their iphone and apple services until they could find themselves in a cell service area? Or can it be accessed by a public wifi? Who beg to differ on whether or not it is beneficial to use when you travel?
I did a little research to see if all Apple items shed light...
See "How it works" in the Apple ID - Apple Support for two-factor authentication - a time that a device is approved, he'll never ask again unless you perform one or more of several things to "break the connection.
If I were you, I would spend it TURNED off if you fear that one of these things could happen while you might not be able to obtain the code by SMS

I'm confused as to why Apple would use two different expressions for what seems to be the same:
- "Two -authentication"- and
- "Two -step".
The above two articles begin with a statement like: [underlining is unique, "BOLD" is synonymous with]
"Two-factor authentication is just an extra layer of security of your ID Apple aiming to sure you are the only person who can access to your account, even if someone knows your password."
«The two-step verification is an additional security feature for your Apple which designed to prevent anyone to access or use your account, same ID is they know your password.»
Maybe someone with more experience can shed some light on your question and MY confusion?

On Mac with 2-step verification endless loop
I got a new Macbook and all is set up very well, but when I try to buy more storage iCloud, with it being a new computer it asks my password Apple ID, and once the entry not the usual verification code sent to your trusted device. My iPad and iPhone download the application, but the Mac screen never changes to allow to introduce the verification code. It simply says "enter your password followed by the verification sent to your trusted device code" - when I enter the password he repeats the loop, the sending of a new code of verification for both iPhone & iPad and Mac asks once again my password followed by verification code, but the box for verification code ever...
Try to do exactly what the message says "enter your password followed by the verification code sent to your device to trust"
for example, if your password is xyz and the verification code is 123456, type xyz123456 in the password box.
The newest 'two-step authentication' (not the most "two-step verification") requires that this method of entry on devices running older versions of the operating system. Not sure why this would be the case in your situation, but it's worth a try.
See quote below for Apple ID - Apple Support two factor authentication
If you use two-factor authentication with devices that are running older OS versions, you may be prompted to add your code at the end of your password when signing in. get your verification code to a device of confidence running iOS six-digit 9 or OS X El Capitan, or it make him trust phone number. Then type your followed six-digit verification code password directly in the password field.

I have an Air of iPad and iPhone 5 s. I did the two-step verification and wrote the secret code 4 digit. I couldn't get into my iPad. Talked to about 4 Apple technicians. They guided me to restore my iPad to factory default. My photos and notes and videos have disappeared. They are still on my phone. I never went to iCloud to see hat is here. My iPad has said there is nothing in the iCloud shouldn't the same thing that is on my phone. I went to Verizon and they said it was a problem for apple. Help!
You need start the game up more so that we can see if you have a backup, you can restore from. Go to settings > general > reset > erase all content and settings so that you get the Hello screen. Then, you configure the iPad, sign your iCloud account and when asked if you want to restore from a backup to say Yes and see what is listed to choose from for restoration.
After the back if you don't see any options for restoring your backup.
See you soon,.
