Hello

I checked the properties of the TOSHIBA PA3005U - 1 M 12 memory module in the web, and it seems that it is a 128 MB PC100 SODIMM module.

In addition, I think that you can update your device with 2x128MB but please check the square inside the unit if there are 2 available memory slots.

Good bye

    Hello

At the bottom of the unit, you should find a memory cache location. As far as I know it s placed in the middle.
Under this coverage, you should find two locations. A slot uses 256 MB module, and the second site should be free.

    Hello saidharouna

I'm not 100% sure but Satellite Pro 4220 is on unit of 5 years. I'm sure you know very well that this time USB 2.0 was not in use. Since 2.5 or 3 years units have USB 2.0 ports.

  • The upgrade memory and HDD on Satellite Pro A300-1EA

So, I'm new to this forum so first of all Hello to all!

I plan to buy the Satellite Pro A300 1EA and I came to the conclusion that I need to buy more memory that the thing has already installed (2 048 MB).
I tried to search for information through Kingston and OCZ, but have not found something solid on what memory modules are supported by the A300-1EA.

The A300-1EA uses DDR2 800 Mhz type of memory (max 8192MB) instead of just dealing with one module 2084 installed, I had intended to get two of them.

What I have to buy two identical modules, or can I increase memory by simply adding a module to match installed?
So if anyone has an idea where I could find on the modules of memory supported, that would be swell! :)

The other thing is quite the same, but only with hard disks. I found many potential readers than fullfill my needs for a faster drive (upgrade of 5400 RPM / min-> 7200 RPM), but I don't know which ones work with this laptop.

After all, I'm in the impression that laptops are not so easy on these pieces as desktop computers.

    Thanks in advance!

Satellite Pro A300-1EA belongs to the series of PSAG9E, and it seems that it was fitted on the Chipset Mobile Intel GM45 Express.
As far as I know, that you can improve this laptop 4 GB RAM max so I wonder which tells you something about 8 GB support.
You can upgrade the memory to 4 GB, and you can use the 200-PIN SODIMM 800 MHz modules.

But to be honest I don t understand why you want to upgrade if the 32-bit Windows operating system will see only 3.2 GB due to the limitation of the 32-bit operating system.

    With regard to the drive HARD;
You need a HARD drive 2.5 SATA.

    15 GB HARD DRIVE

I recently installed at 256 MB of memory and it seems that the memory slots. To develop my memory 512 MB what should I remove the memory of 128 MB and replace it with a 256?
Addition, how else can in I put this laptop? I could increase the HARD drive? How could I increase it with 512 MB of memory?

    Hello

It is not easy to find specific info on older models of laptops. According to the mobile news it can handle with max 512 MB of RAM. Compatible RAM module is KTT-SO815/256 256 MB memory-(Kingston). With the help of two of them you can have max RAM and laptop will go much quicker.

Disk HARD is not easy to say with certainty, but I think that you can pass to 30 or even 60 GB, but 30 should not be a problem.

You will need the height of 2.5 9.5 mm IDE HDD 40 GB, 60 GB, 80 GB or 100GB.

  • Satellite Pro 4220; Question on price

    Hello

Some time ago I found an old laptop Toshiba Satellite Pro series machine, model 4220. It has a Pentium 3 450 Mhz, video card Trident with MB and 256 MB of ram. The only question is, how much it will cost when it is released, and when it came out.

    Thanx.

Wow, your question is very special ;)

Hmm this laptop was released many years ago it s an oldie :D
As I remember it came out November 1999!

But unfortunately, I have not found any price! I think that it of not possible to say what cost this laptop.
Notebook dealers create portable final price and it depends on many factors such as country, supply and demand, etc...!

But maybe a few grandmothers and grandfathers could recall the price ;)

  • Upgrade memory on a Satellite Pro 4270XDVD

    Hello

I need help. I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite Pro 4270XDVD. I want to increase my memory, as I have only 64 guidelines that come with it. When I opened the back of the computer to check the memory locations there are 2 empty ones. There is a Slot A and B. The problem is that A slot is broken. The 2 clamps that hold the memory are absent. Someone broke them up. B of Slot memory seems OK, and I put a barrette of memory in it. The problem is that my manual says not to use slot B if A slot is empty. Do you know why this is? Also is it possible to fix the clips in A slot without replacing the entire motherboard.

    Thanks for your help,

    Brad

If I understand correctly what ask you, you want to upgrade memory of 4 GB laptops.

Well, I think that it s is not possible.
The Satellite Pro A200 supports maximum 2 GB of RAM (2 x 1 GB), then you will not be able to use 2 x 2 GB modules.

    Best regards dude

  • Upgrade memory for a Satellite Pro 4320

I own a Satellite Pro 4320. He has the memory factory (64 MB), and I want to develop it. I read in the manual that it is possible to install up to 576 MB. But in other documents and web pages, I read that 320 MB is the maximum memory.

Anyone know what is the right number?

Does anyone know where to find 256 MB modules (if they can be installed)? I found only 128 MB modules.

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

I found information that 320 MB Max for this device. I have also not lucky to find the 256 MB RAM module for this device. There are two possibilities. You can contact the partner in your country and stopped a single module or you have to find some pieces of mobile equipment supplier in your country.

    Test it.

  • How to activate windows after upgrading my memory and HDD, motherboard?

I built my system with a full copy of Windows Vista four years ago.  Since then, I've bought a 3 license upgrade to Windows 7 Home Premium.  I've improved this system and a laptop with this copy.  Now, I did a major update on my main system, replace the card mother, cpu, memory, and hard drive.  I made a new installation using the disks in windows 7, assuming that he asked to give me my Vista drive, but he never did.  The installation is completed successfully and now, three days later, I received an activation error.  The automated phone system didn't work either, saying: I did not meet licensing requirements.  What can I do?

Try the phone activation, do not meet all the guests until given the opportunity to speak to a real person

  • Size of memory R830 HDD satellite

    I recently bought a Satellite R830 - 1 1.
It was announced as having with 320 GB HDD memory size. However, the HARD drive does that 282GB total memory size.

Anyone with this model had the same problem? How do solve you?

There is no problem at all. Preinstalled OS uses small partition recovery, recovery partition Toshiba is it also and it is not included in quality when check you it in windows Explorer.

Open the disk management option and there you can see the exact structure of the partitions.

  • Want to revive a dead Satellite Pro 4220 XCDT

Hi, hope someone here can help me!

I had recently an old 4220 by a friend for free with the sorting and new mobile phones her friends (ie remove Vista and put xp on them so they would actually work!). He was a Catalan installation of XP on it, so I wiped it and put Windows 2000 on it, which was great, except that I kept getting the error code 31 on the pcmcia wireless card I put in there, so I upped it to XP that worked well with the map, but due to limitations of the system has been little juddery when multimedia streaming. I decided to give another 2000 go and reinstalled and tried to set the mode of recovery to try to resolve the error 31, but had no luck with it.

However, when I reset the recovery mode machine, he returned once never again: no picture, no beeps, but the power/battery lights are on, and it runs the cd-rom for a few seconds. In addition, by pressing the "fn" key lights up its small led above the keyboard, but only for the first 30 seconds or while it is switched on. I tried to connect another monitor, but no luck, I tried by pressing the 'ESC' or 'F1' when trying to get into the bios or something else, I have tried unplug electric network and remove the battery from the day overnight as suggested elsewhere and I even took it apart and removed the battery cmos for a few seconds , but none of it worked.

Can I assume that it is most likely a blown motherboard? If so, am I right to assume that 4200 has the same motherboard as the 4300 series (the TOSHIBA B36086701), and that a replacement should do the trick? In addition, I find it difficult to find the specs on this forum, I would buy a faster processor for this (currently has a P3 450), and I was wondering what is the speed max can take? (See someone on this forum say there a p3 700 in his, but wondered whether she could get one faster?)

Also, before he died, I tried to increase the RAM, it has 64 MB on board and he had a key of 64 MB Toshiba in here, but I bought on ebay 2 x PC133 128 mb 144 pin SODIMM, but when I tried to start with them the OS would fail (XP said it had a defective pci.sys and 2000 would simply wants) However I was able to get any of the Poles recognized in A slot in the BIOS. Am I right in thinking that this map is pretty picky and need memory PC100, IE can make memory to resign?

    Thanks for any help!

I think of 450 to 700 mhz, it's a very nice performance gain on this old machine.
Anyway have you tried to put the memory of 64 MB module and start your laptop?

And you're right, you need memory with this form:

    SO DIMM Non ecc PC100
