/U01/app/OBIEE/obiData/Scheduler/config/InstanceConfig.XML empty

I have installed 10.1.3.4 on Redhat 5.2 OBIEE. I have configured the Scheduler, but find the file
/u01/app/obiee/obiData/scheduler/config/instanceconfig.xml
is empty. Start Scheduler error
     [nQSError: 67042] The Scheduler Configuration is incorrect.
     [nQSError: 46084] Error at file '/u01/app/obiee/obiData/scheduler/config/instanceconfig.xml', line 1, column 1, Message: Invalid document structure
How can I get the Planner instanceconfig.xml? It is not mentioned in the Guide of Planner B31768-01 and B31765-02 BI INfrastructure Installation and COnfiguration Guide.

Thank you

First of all, I have 1 question... R using 10g or 11g?

Fact the script creates the Scheduler to configure the file?

No, it creates the Scheduler of the tables in the backend, and then you need to set up the configuration. The links I provided are the right one you do not follow them.

Is the path C:\OracleBIData\scheduler\config\instanceconfig...i checked mine this is not empty.

This instanceconfig file is automatically generated file, how can be empty in your case?

You can do 1 thing first, you run the script associated with what database, your use of this C:\OracleBI\server\Schema path... .so that the tables will be created in the end and after having done check instanceconfig.

  • InstanceConfig.xml Clustered Environment

    Hello

    I'm trying to identify what instanceconfig.xml in each node, I need to change to Presentation Server. For example, when I need to update a catalog or to change settings such as

    For example, for the main node, I have the following paths. I think I should change that which is under the INSTANCE_HOME

    ./Oracle/admin/instances/OBIEE/111170/OBIEE/bifoundation_domain/Instance1/config/OracleBIPresentationServicesComponent/coreapplication_obips1/InstanceConfig.Xml

    No, it would be in your two examples listed

    ./Oracle/admin/instances/OBIEE/111170/OBIEE/bifoundation_domain/Instance1/config/OracleBIPresentationServicesComponent/coreapplication_obips1/InstanceConfig.Xml

    The point is that it is under $FMW_HOME/instances/$INSTANCE/config/OracleBIPresentationServicesComponent/coreapplication_obips1/instanceconfig.xml

    If you need to know your $FMW_HOME and also the INSTANCE if you got a cluster deployment

  • RPD: instanceconfig.xml missed

    Hi all

    I installed 11.1.1.5 in a unix machine remoot Obiee, I created cubes using awm 32 win7 machine.

    Now I want to use my cubes to report: I installed biee customer 11.1.1.5 (to use the Oracle Client administration tool to import my cubes).

    But I have in vain in the creation of a new repository.

    I found somewhere that a file named instanceconfig.xml which is supposed to be on the path of obiee installation obiee\instances\instance1\config\OracleBIPresentationServicesComponent\coreapplication_obips1\instanceconfig.xml , is used to configure the presentation of OBI EE component.

    So, I took a glance at my course * obiee\instances\instance1\config\OracleBIPresentationServicesComponent\coreapplication_obips1\ in my unix Server remoot and found no instanceconfig.xml inside...

    Is there something to do with me allow to import my cubes?

    What exactly is this file? and, is it supposed to be created during the installation of obiee?

    Any information will be helpful!

    Thank you all!

    InstanceConfig.xml will exist at the server level. There is no part of the BI client tools installation. I think that the path you just a space reserved for the installation of the client tools. InstanceConfig.xml is Oracle's BI and Oracle BI Presentation Server Scheduler configuration file. The only thing I can think in there that may jeopardize your import remote is the path of the host of Java. Furthermore, if there is no instanceconfig.xml file in this location on the remote server, you could not run OBIEE on the remote server.

    Please check if useful/correct.

  • How to navigate a page (.jspx) to another (.jspx) using adfc-config. XML?

    Hi all

    I have a fundamental question on the use of adfc - config.Xml. Please clarify my doubt.

    In my application, I created 2 bouded ADF-task-flow, where each workflow contains one page fragments. Now, I created two pages (.jspx) and droped 1st task flow into the first page as a region and even I did in the 2nd page two.

    Now I navigate from page 1 to page two when I hit the next button in the fragment of the first page. The button's action method that returns the string "goNext. Please let me know how can I create the adfc-config.xml file navigation to navigate from the first page to the other. I could able to navigate without any isisue using the faces-config. XML via JSF Navigation box. But how do I do the same thing in adfc-config. XML? I tried like below, but he navigates to the next page when I hit the button.
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1" ?>
    <adfc-config xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/adf/controller" version="1.2">
      <view id="idm">
        <page>/app/idm.jspx</page>
      </view>
      <view id="userMgmt">
        <page>/app/userMgmt.jspx</page>
      </view>

      <control-flow-rule>
        <from-activity-id>idm</from-activity-id>
        <control-flow-case>
          <from-outcome>goNext</from-outcome>
          <to-activity-id>userMgmt</to-activity-id>
        </control-flow-case>
      </control-flow-rule>
    </adfc-config>
    Please correct my mistake. Also please clarify why not use the faces - config.xml for my navigation from page to page?

    Thank you
    KLN

    Although technically it might work, I find it always strange. Let go to the design Commission. What units functional (use case) do you have?

    -Find a user?
    -Manage a user (including the various option)

    If Yes, then, I would have 2 pages with 2 or 3 of the workflow
    -page1.jspx contains TF 1, pretty much like you, parent action allows you to navigate, although I would use to discover the url for browsing direct jspx;
    -page2.jspx contains 2 TF, yet once you have. Parent for the "previous" button action is ok, to change password, not so IMHO
    -Option 1: Put the change password in a workflow and call using a call to workflow (as dialogue or not)
    -Option 2: embed the logic of change of password in the user workflow management

    Kind regards

  • InstanceConfig.xml - catalogue

    Hi all

    I have a facility with two presentation services BI pointing to the same server to BI. Then I want to centralize the catalog for two presentation services will have access to the same catalog. So I'm going the instanceconfig.xml file and I type in the CatalogPath tag:

    < CatalogPath > \\server\catalog\bise1 < / CatalogPath >

    Then, I get an error when I restart the service. I also tried with a drive mapping network:

    < CatalogPath > catalog/E:/bise1 < / CatalogPath >

    but I get the same error.

    It seems that the presentation can only access the catalogue to a local path.

    Anyone know how I can do?

    Many thanks in advance,
    Victor.

    OBIEE Deployment Guide:

    "Under Windows, BI services must be running under a domain account in order to access network shares. Do not use the LocalSystem account. »

    Of course, the used domain account must also have access to the share that you want to access.

    The exception severity: 1

    The research revealed only one potential problem with missing libraries. During installation, all the libraries who have failed the audit have been installed by using the 64-bit versions of Oracle Linux 7.1 DVD. So, there is no library missing in this case.

    Is it possible that the 32-bit versions must be installed? I just did the 64-bit ones.

    Errors in the file/u01/app/oracle/diag/rdbms/xe / XE/trace/XE_j002_31317.trc:

    ORA-12012: error on auto work "SYS." "" BSLN_MAINTAIN_STATS_JOB "

    ORA-06550: line 1, column 807:

    PLS-00201: identifier ' DBSNMP. BSLN_INTERNAL' must be declared

    ORA-06550: line 1, column 807:

    PL/SQL: Statement ignored

    Please notify

    Thank you in anticipation

    Difficulty for it's a drop and recreate the user dbsnmp. On any * nix db host, with a connect sysdba, drop/create/and a grant:

    @? / rdbms/admin/catnsnmp

    ...

    @? / rdbms/admin/catsnmp

    ...

    Grant execute on sys.dbms_job to dbsnmp.

    If you are using grid OEM or Cloud control dbsnmp 12 c is one of "used" connection credentials. Or if the grid is not in use on your site and can probably stop right after the catnsnmp and let dbsnmp user out of the instance. If someone wants to 'snoop' around dbsnmp is generally quite high on the list of "things to try" to see it as "lies" in the instance.

  • JDeveloper 11.1.2.4: Is it possible to display only custom validator ID defined in faces-config. XML

    I have several custom validators and do not need to see the default values listed in the screenshot below:

    http://i.imgur.com/xOQgxeZ.PNG

    Is it possible to display only custom validators that I defined in faces-config. XML?

    Thank you

    Wes

    Deepak,

    do not understand this sentence:

    "Do not specify the binding attribute value in the tag of f: validator for links do not display.

    Wes,

    The answer to the question seems to be 'no', you cannot remove other validator entries as they are too configured in a faces configuration file - but not that of the application

    I'm back RMAN.

    For purposes of experience, I moved control02.ctl of actual position and then restore the backup. After you restore successfully, I couldn't open DB again and meet the error ORA-01110, I need your help to understand the error on my part and its resolution.

    Hello;

    It looks like how you restored the control antagonized file a copy who did align with current data files.

    I just tested this I'll now what I did different here in a moment.

    My test:

    http://www.Visi.com/~mseberg/RMAN/simulating_loss_of_control_files_rman.html

    The link shows all the details. What jumps out is two things. I put the DBID and I let RMAN decide what control file to restore. View I had the same ORA-01589 like you and how I recovered from it.

    RMAN > restore database;
    SQL > alter database open resetlogs;
    RMAN > reset database;

    and then the test data.

    Best regards

    Very large log files. Is it safe to just delete these newspapers? Can I save of course.

    Currently I can not connect to the database.

    I don't know what to do at this point.

    The zip or move to another mount point
    Also check.
    Can you go Audit dump dest, delete all, if you need one last keep a week with a value of it.
    Once you have enough space, then start the instance.

  • Update the hostname to apex-config. XML?

    We use Oracle Application Express Listener for requests between a Web browser and the Oracle Application Express engine.
    Software installed on the web server (Windows 2008) are:
    • TomCat 6.0 v
    • Java
    • Java (TM) SE Runtime Environment
    • Java hotspot Server VM 64

    We are moving our database to a new server, which means that the host name that is configured in the listener must be updated.
    The SID would remain same, could change the password for the APEX_PUBLIC_USER account. Basic connection type for the configuration of the DB.

    Do I have to update the apex-config. XML (apex.db.hostname) of this change, then restart tomcat? It would be the only change required in my web server? If this isn't the case, then all the changes would be necessary?

    I read in some documents that configuring the listener of the APEX can be updated with the exception of the connection of database: username, password, login information and the Type of JDBC driver.

    I'm new to APEX. Please guide how to make this change.

    1. what this means I must just stop the listener of the APEX, make changes in the file config.xml - apex and restart the receiver of the APEX? Would that be enough?

    Yes.

    2. What is the other option - delete the configuration file, restart the tomcat and start the entire configuration?

    This works as well, although it seems to be a bit more effort.

    What are the cases where we should prefer option 2? The disadvantages of option 1?

    I recommend you to reboot with a fresh configuration on a major change in the earpiece of the APEX to make sure I didn't miss some new setting or change the default settings.
    The first option is fast and if the last time you spent reviewing your configuration was not too long ago, this is probably the best way, because you reduce the probability to integrate errors by doing something differently than in the past. On the other hand, you might want to take the chance to actually do a review or see if any fault has changed and maybe look in the notes version and documentation to decide if it's right for you. Things like that.

    Sorry for asking too many questions.

    Not much, really.
