asanal,

New stock of sale should be to A03.

Used stock output from Dell could be any revision, (A00, A01, A02, A03). There is no way to know when you place your order to Dell making.

I can't speak to what changes a non Dell seller can do.

  • U3014, A03, low noise level, Nov 2013

After receiving insurance through Dell Small Business. the U3014 all new have at least Rev A03, I ordered another to replace a fading 3008WFP.  After you received yesterday, I ran through the installation program and checked everything, including the USB3 and operating an internal decoder 2-channel audio.  I use the standard Dell AX510 sound bars on all my monitors to reproduce audio embedded with HDMI signal sources and nVidia Quadro Display Port K5000 than card outputs.  My other Dell, a new U2713H and an old 3008WFP monitors, work very well with their AX510 sound bar.  However, the same inputs HDMI and Display Port on the U3014 produce a less than 13 dB audio output.

A sound signal to 1/20th of the normal level makes its unusable AX510 with my new monitor U3014 bar.  Since I do HDTV edition, I need to use the U3014 to monitor the video and audio from my reading of BlackMagic Decklink 4 k Ultra HDMI as long as the audio embedded on my nVidia Quadro K5000 video card display Ports.   (BTW: USB3 parts work fine)

Everyone knows a similar problem of audio low on their screens of U3014?

This is an update to the original message of low audio output:

After contacting Dell Small Business Tech Support.  Dell sent me a replacement U3014 monitor via FedEx overnight.  After that I connected to my system and it turned on, I was pleasantly surprised because audio Digital Envoy through the HDMI ports and DP was NORMAL.  In addition, the display of U3014 had no corner visible backlight line, as it is 'normal' for this view.  But the strong "glow" IPS limits how close you work at the screen of the monitor.

However, after about 30 minutes the audio level fed by the Audio Jack Out U3014 for Dell AX510 went way against.  A different sound bar did NOT help.  When I plugged the Audio Out jacks on my U2713H and U3014 monitors to the audio meters of Sony Sound Forge Pro 10 six channels and I saw the same 13 dB drop in the two channels that the first U3014 suffered.

The two U2713H (audio channels 1 & 2) and the U3014 (channels 3 & 4) were fed the same HDMI DirecTV output. The recorded maximum concentrations are at the right end of the Green level bar poster.   These show the difference between the output taken on two audio monitors.  The output of U3014 is 13 DB below the output of U2713H.   When turned on the U3014 was identical to the U2713H!  After 30 minutes the audio output of U3014 level has dropped.

My guess is that something in the digital audio receiver has failed.  And, since the two U3014 monitors are close in the serial numbers, this failure is likely to happen all U3014 in the same factory lot.

Given that most of the users of U3014 is not to monitor the audio digital integrated on the inputs HDMI or DP, there are not too many reports of this problem.  Those who intend to use the U3014 of audio and video surveillance on HDMI or RFP decision taken entry need to check this problem.

  • U3014, the last revision number?

    Hello

Contemplating the purchase of U3014 30 "monitor, I have read about the issues buyers had with revisions before A03 who supposedly fixed these issues. Could I please someone have replied with the current revision number at the moment on this monitor and if all past issues have now been regularized?

    See you soon

I was hoping that other customers of U3014 would. The last revision I've seen posted here was A04. As for what it does, no idea. These data are provided to us more.

  • U3014, disconnection of USB 3.0 ports

I am using a U3014 monitor since April. Early on that USB 3.0 ports would be erratic behavior, i.e. they would disconnect after a few seconds of all copying activity, regardless of their orientation (to distance or download). So every time I have would connect my USB key or an external hard drive, the device will get recognized quickly but any copy operation takes place as soon as the monitor disconnects. It seems not to be able to handle anything larger than 1 MB at a time and significant intervals. Thereafter, the only way to reactivate the ports is to disconnect the cable and then reconnect it. The USB hub is connected to my ultimate T3610 Win7/64 computer with the Dell-supplied cable. The monitor is also connected to a card Radeon R9 270 via the Dell mini provided DP cable. There is another USB device on the monitor, disconnect it does not bring a change in behavior. Same goes for all the different ports USB 3.0 on my computer, that is, any port PC, the monitor connects to. of course, all above 3.0 USB devices work perfectly with the ports on the computer. My monitor is Rev A03 and the S/N CN-0P1V6N-74445-388-172. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

If you encounter any problems with your U3014 monitor USB 3.0 ports or disconnecting at random SD card player, it's because the motherboard of your computer Dell T3610 uses an old NEC / Renesas USB 3.0 controller chipset.

The hub USB 3.0 inside the monitor of U3014 is NOT compatible with the NEC/Renesas USB 3.0 controller chipset. This isn't a problem with the Dell U3014 monitor, there is a problem with the NEC/Renesas USB 3.0 chipset, known to have problems of dropping out.

To resolve this problem, you must add a USB 3.0 controller card based on the Texas Instruments TUSB7340 chipset inside your computer T3610. This chipset is VERY STABLE. No more random Logout problems with external drives or USB 3.0 flash drives.

To solve this problem with my U3014 Rev. A05, I installed in my computer the SuperSpeed USB 3.0 PEXUSB3S4 Startech card (built with the Texas Instruments TUSB7340 chipset). I plugged the USB 3.0 cable (supplied with the U3014) and my computer is now very stable.

The latest drivers from TUSB7340 for Windows 7 controller / 8,1 / 10 are available for download directly from the site of Texas Instruments.

Either randomly disconnection problems with USB 3.0 external hard drives, flash drives or the SD card reader inside the Dell U3014 monitor with the Startech PEXUSB3S4 SuperSpeed USB 3.0 card.

  • U3014 DisplayPort question - fixed

    Hello

I'm running the revision A03. Today the DisplayPort stopped working with my companion of Wacom Cintiq tablet. Everything was good 2 days ago. All other connections to work. I guess that I write mainly because of my frustration in trying to pass technical support. First person I spoke with barely spoke English (horrible accent they transferred me to someone else which required about a 35 minute wait.) They told me that my monitor is licensed in the Canada (I bought at B & H in New York about 3 months ago) and it will register here in the United States with a different REP Got on to this rep and they said they couldn't do anything to return to a technician. Waiting for 45 minutes, then their cutting line. So, now, I tried to go online through a chat but the monitor is registered abroad (Canada), so can't do anything there. I think it's the cable. Just doing my own technical service and buy a new cable to see if it works. The thing is, the monitor records a connection but keeps going to sleep mode so, not sure that the cable is the culprit.

    Thank you

    Chris

You need to "register" the serial number U3014 using this form. It may take up to 20 business days to complete.

    * Disconnect each cable from the bottom and side of the screen (including the power cord)
    * Press and hold the button of power monitor for 8 seconds
    * Reconnect power cord to the bottom of the screen
    * Turn on the monitor and the Tablet
    * Connect the DP from Dell to the CDM cable from the left most DP in the port (nearest the power cord) on the monitor to the out port of the Tablet AMD
    * Press the entry button (3rd from the top) screen and choose entry DisplayPort

  • U3014, does not and no display?

I turned on my PC this morning and after a few seconds, the monitor went dark. I bought the monitor a few months ago. I use a nvidia geforce GTX 690 with the latest drivers.

I am connected via the display U3014 port to 690 GTX. I daisy chained a U2410 monitor to display U3014 out port. Both monitors have dark (because the U2410 is connected to the U3014).  I have a second U2410 connected directly to my video card. It still works fine. The two U2410s of work when it is connected directly to the video card.

I tried a display different port cable to the PC. Nothing has changed. I tried the display port on the video card with a different monitor and it worked fine. Windows doesn't detect the U3014 display port. Windows going to detect DVI of U3014 to the DVI port on the video card, but the U3014 menu buttons will bring up is no longer the OSD to switch inputs so nothing is ever displayed on the U3014. I tried to run the monitor self-test as (by pressing the buttons on the monitor 1 and 4). Nothing appears on the screen. It does not yet look like the backlight U3014 is light. The power led lights up when it is plugged.  Also, I unplugged all the video cables to the back of the Rundfunk, reconnect the power cord. I just can't get anything to display on the U3014 including the OSD menu. The monitor buttons do nothing.

Should I swap this monitor? How do I configure that? I am also concerned to obtain a delivered product to nine. I didn't use this form for a long time and waited about a year to buy it so that I'd get a monitor A03 new plant. I don't want a pathetic one refurbished with an A03 sticker on it and dead pixels. I have heard some horror stories about some of the exchanged units. I'm not happy, I spent more than $1000 on this monitor and worried about what I will receive if I Exchange it.

Please help me. The U3014 is a great product when it works correctly. Thank you

    rkhrt27,

  • Dell U3014 Rev A01 Scanline problem and translation mistake...

    Hello holy chrism.

first of all, I'm of the Germany so I have postet several times the problem in the German Forums isuess, but there is no response... I'm here now. I have a dell u3014 rev 1, I have two Points, I have the problem of scanline too and ist there a translation is good ranslated in German as 'aus' error in the menu 'off', but 'we' will not translated in German "auf". the transaltion of right would be 'a '! Maybe you can fix this in the next review? The translation is very annoying error, I bought a very expensive high-end monitor, like the scanline problem. What can I do? Wait until Rev a03 is available and replace it?

Engineering said that A03 corrected the problems of horizontal lines. As of today (16/08/13), the only way to get the A03 is through an exchange of monitor used/given to nine. It's only for customers in the Americas. Stocks of service for other regions are still undergoing revision A03. No dealers will have A03. The Exchange used/given to nine should be done through Dell. New stock to purchase will not be to A03 until October.

  • How could I change printer IBM 9068 A03 fonts so I'm better?

I am a linux user. In the past, I used Chrome for my browser. But a few months ago my company has changed our software and optimized for the use of Firefox. Unfortunately, the police of printing output, I got was so bad. My printer is an IBM 9068 A03 with driver IBM Proprinter II booklet, and it is little matter on police in Chrome. Can I change the font in FIrefox to get a better print output? Thank you very very much for help.

    Hello Françoise,.

No problem. Try to do it once more.

Therefore, print a lot of documents. right?

    Let's take an example.

Suppose you wanted a single document of yours in Garamound and another in Times New Roman. So, how are you? Allows to answer this and I think that would help. If not you can always ask for more help.

If you want to print anything in Times New Roman, just to change font of Times New Roman and use print options page to print.

Now, how change the police page?
It turns out that pages provide their fonts in firefox even if you select Times New Roman, always page fonts as he wants. But fortunately we can override this default behavior. Here's how?

    • FX menu go to options.
    • In options, select content.
    • Then click on advanced.
    • In advanced, uncheck the allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selection.
    • Click Ok
    • Now in the previous page, click the default font (Garamound, arial etc.) and click Ok.

You will display the user interface of the pages changed and now you can print the pages in your favorite font.

    It will be useful.

I am writing a script to allow a user to create a data set by loading a series of ASCII files.  The files are. A01. A02. A03, etc file extensions  I can manually load these files individually, but I can't seem to the load via the program coding.  The code below is what I was trying to use to load one of the files, however DIAdem 11.0 running on a Windows 7 machine just stops and DIAdem 10.0 running on a Windows XP computer will appear to run the script... but no data actually loaded on the data portal.

Call MSGBOXDISP ("Please select first data file")

    Call FILENAMEGET ('DATA', "FileRead")
    If DLGSTATE = "IDOk" Then
    DATADRVUSER = FILEDLGDIR
    Call the ASCIIAssocSet(".) A01 ', ' C:\Documents and Settings\administrator\Desktop\BH - OB29\RoughRoad Import.STP ASCII')

  • U3014; problems to get maximum performance via HDMI

I just got my U3014 delivered, but I meet a lot of problems run.

My first test was with my MSI GT780DXR system windows 7 64 (nVidia GeForce GTX 570 M). The laptop only has VGA and HDMI 1.4, but HDMI should be able to 2560 x 1600 @ 32 bit. But the nNvidia guard device driver complain that the U3014 cannot do. The highest I could get is 1920 x 1080. After a configuration custom in the nVidia settings, I run it on 2560 x 1600 @ 16 bit / 60 Hz. But on a large 16-bit screen doesn't sound like a lot (to say the least).

So I plugged on my desktop also W7 64 bit (nVidia GeForce GTX 560) and she went immediately to 2560 x 1600 @ 32 bit (60 Hz). So I know this works (in is superb).

A third trial involve a laptop HP with Ubuntu and a DisplayPort. It takes too only 1920 x 1080.

I'm starting to suspect that HDMI 1.4 set in place in the U3014 is not able to 2560 x 1600 @ 32 bit / 60 Hz as the HDMI should be.

I used a standard HDMI cable. Then I entered the Nvidia tool and created a custom resolution (because the monitor does not list what he can do on HDMI). Not all parameters of work, but that does not work is:
    -2560 x 1600, 60 Hz, 16-bit
    -2560 x 1600, 32 bit, 24 Hz
    -2560 x 1600, 32 bit, 36 Hz MacBook Pro retina

I do not see a flick @24 Hz so I leave that for the moment. According to the 1.3 specification, it should be able to do little 24 or 30 to 60 Hz and 1.4 even more. But I can't configure that. I need that pick up with Nvidia.

  • U3014, y at - it a shortcut to quickly switch inputs?

Is there a quick way to change one entry to another on the U3014?  I have two different computers with two separate inputs, and using the "Input Source" menu gets boring after a while.  I couldn't find faster shortcuts in the manual, but I was wondering if it is of the "hidden features" to accomplish a quick input switch.

If you have Dell Display Manager installed, you can try establishing a Windows shortcut with a command line parameter. Assuming the 3014 is your single monitor (or monitor #1):

    DDM.exe 1:SetActiveInput DVI1

    DDM.exe 1:SetActiveInput HDMI1

    DDM.exe 1:SetActiveInput DP1

    DDM.exe 1:SetActiveInput DP2

MiniDP is DP2 on the 3014. Add a ' / output ' If you want just DDM to start, pass the entries and close.

  • U3014 and UP2414Q do not recognize entry DisplayPort

I just finished 7 PC built and they are all type video-graphics-games machines high-end with GTX 780 6 GB, GTX 770 4 GB, GTX 970 4 GB and GTX 980 4 GB. I used the U2414H monitor to test each build but found it odd that when "plugged in" to these two monitors with 9 different DisplayPort cables, I constantly watch the notification, "undetected DisplayPort', floating around the screen. If I switch to a snapshot of DVI - D. I did each BIOS setting, I can think.

The U3014 suggests I move up to 1.2 and for the life of me, I was circling in the maze that seems inclined to keep this hidden information.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

PS Hi Chris! Nice to see you still help people find their way. Blessings!  GB

1.2 of the RFP is activated in the OSD (On Screen Display) - display settings. Do not forget that you plug into the RFP (left) and not the RFP out (right).

  • Different serial numbers of U3014 monitor on the rear panel and the WMI class

Hi, I'm doing an inventory of COMPUTER equipment.

I had a problem with DELL U3014 serial numbers:

DELL monitors have different serial numbers on the back panel and the class WmiMonitorID.

For example, there are 20 digits alphanumeric serial number as CZ-0F525M-73608-021-341, on the Panel back and there is the serial number of the alphanumeric number 12, as F525M021341L to the WmiMonitorID class.

    Why is this happening?

Y at - it an official document that explains this replacement of the serial number?

I have no problem with the monitors from another manufacturer.

Because the Dell order number is lost, there is no way that you or Dell can prove any guarantee. Without evidence, Dell will only guarantee the monitor for 3 years based on the serial number.  This sounds like infringing material in not usa or EBAY or something other than Dell.

    CZ-0F525M-73608-021-341 L = February 1, 2010 to February 1, 2013 to a U2410

This number is taken from this forum.

First 2 letters is country of origin.  MX = Mexico CN = China CZ = Czech Republic etc.

0F525M is the number of Dell.  It is an IEMEA part number.

    It is not a U3014

  • U3014 problems

I just bought my new u3014 and brilliant. It looks great, but unfortunately I encountered some problems basically immediately. Grateful for any advice and suggestions.  My PC is also new and performs a single ASUS nVidia graphics Titan.  I installed the latest drivers and am sure that all the cables are properly connected.

    1. small black lines all over the screen. I was surprised to see them, but they are tiny and thin black lines all over the screen, causing images to look as if some kind of retro fiction filter applies to them. My previous 24 "HP monitor had no such lines.  I tried various resolutions, but of course mainly work in the native 2560 x 1600 a.

    2. you have to look carefully to notice, but there is no on-screen noise all over the screen which makes the black lines kind of 'shift' when you look closely. I noticed it only happens when I use the cable supplied displayport/mini displayport, but does not occur when I use the supplied DVI cable.

    3. apparently, the random color temperature shifts.  It is certainly the most annoying.  The screen seems to change the color temperature according to what is on the screen. For example, if I open a window that is mostly white (like this page of forum for example) to take any office space, but then opened a smallish window that would take, for example, a quarter of the screen space but it is much darker (for example, a library of steam which is gray window dark, almost black), there is a chance that the temperature of color for the entire screen moves instantly.  It is very sensitive and very frustrating.  It seems to happen most often when I use the DVI cable, but also occurs when I use the displayport cable.

I'm cautiously optimistic with a good displayport cabe (full-size for both ends) may fix all or part of that maybe I'm just something wrong.  No matter which input received with gratitude.

    Thank you.
