Unable to access file encypted

Original title: Encrypting files

while back, I have encrypted some folders and files. now I can't cancel it... I'm told the web site of windows but apparently she claims that I'm not the original user. I am the only user, well I had to reinstall windows and all software a few months back because of a blackout. any way around this? I don't know the DDT... just can't do ask.

The file system of encryption (EFS) encrypts files on a key.  The key is held as a certificate in the operating system.  The certificate is, in turn, encrypted to your secure ID (SID) and your password.

When you have had your system crash, you have lost your certificate and your Secure Code.  Without those or a backup of your certificate you have made before the accident, you have lost access to your files.  EFS has earned the nickname of 'Trash delay' for this reason. In accordance with the recommendations of Samhrutha G, read:

"Best practices for encrypting file system ."

Special attention to the paragraph towards the end labeled "why you should back up your certificates.

Sorry,

  • VMotion displays "unable to access file" when you try to migrate a VM running using shared LUN

3 nodes running on ESX 3.5 vmotion shows 'cannot access file'... vmdk when you attempt to migrate from ESX1 to ESX3 on a running virtual machine. Both ESX servers share a common LUN. I'm going through storage LUNS on ESX2 ESX1 local storage. I am able to do so if the virtual machine is turned off, but I get the error when the virtual machine is running.

You can't do a vmotion off local shared storage.  You will have to stop the virtual machine and do a cold migration, or you can do it live with sVMotion

  • Unable to access files that are engraved on DVD as Live file system

Original title: I burned my files on a DVD as LIVE file system. When I return to access they are not

Using Vista Home Premium. Burned many DVDs this year. Burn the content of several files on DVD for backup. (use the DIRECT file format). Today, I put one of the DVD in the drive to access the files and get the message "Files Drag here to add them to this DVD"

In computer science, it shows amount of space available on this DVD is free of 4.38 GB 895 MB, but I can't access all files - explores or Open.

How can I recover my files and ensure that the next DVD retains the content?

    Hi Pampro,

    1. don't you burn the files on DVD-R or DVD - RW?

Acts of filesystem as flash drive live where you can burn the files in multiple sessions and this is the reason why you got the message "Drag files here to add them to this DVD" and it also shows that 895 MB is free to 4.38 GB.

This means that the files on the DVD are either hidden or the files may have been deleted.

If you try to view the files and then verify or even try to run the DIR command to check the files on the DVD player.

    a. click on start, all programs, and then click Accessories.

    b. right click on command prompt and select run as administrator.

    c. in the drive letter command prompt window type of DVD player and then press ENTER.

    d. then, type DIR and press ENTER to check the files on the disk.

  • Unable to access files in the public folders of other accounts.

I have two accounts on my windows machine 7 and when I load a file in the public folder of one the other cannot access the file.  I have to grant permissions to the other user for each file individually.  Incedentally both accounts are Admins.   Any ideas?

As a general rule, if you move a file from one folder to another, the file protections are maintained as they were before the move - so if UserX doesn't have permissions to a file in one of your folders, move them to a folder Public will not give permission.  However, if you copy a file to a folder to another one, then the copied file/folder will take on the permissions of the folder newly containing.

Bottom line... try dragging the file in the Public folder with your mouse right button when you release, select "Copy" from the context menu.

  • Unable to access file and folders on the computer after you connect to a home network. Get isn't permissions error message.

Original title: unlock files locked in the residential-change group of security settings does not (always says that I don't have permission even if I am Admin)

I have a Windows 7 operating system. I am new to congregate.  I recently noticed that I was connected to a House Group 'network' and so I 'locked' cases to the case where I me be hacked (that I don't use other computers and thought it was strange).  Unfortunately, now that I want to access these files, it says I don't have permission and when I sometimes IN a folder, by allowing permissions administrator in the Security tab, I'm still stuck to see the documents by an error saying that I don't have permission.  I was rid of the congregate at a given moment, then 'active' it again with the idea that I should probably be in home group to make changes to the way they were.  I know that I blew it, but I don't know how to fix it!  Please help me to unlock these files!  I normally log - on as an administrator (no one else assigned to the computer), so I don't understand why I can't make changes to the permissions.

Microsoft does not recommend that you disable your antivirus software or change settings. If you need to temporarily disable your anti-virus software, you should reactivate as soon as you are finished. Use this workaround at your own risk. To temporarily disable your antivirus software, see disable antivirus software

    Method 2: Virus scanner

You can download Microsoft Safety scanner, which provides on-demand scan, and remove viruses, spyware and other malicious software. It works with your current antivirus software.

See the link to download Microsoft Safety scanner on the system.

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

Warning: The data files that are infected can be cleaned by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

  • Unable to access the online folders or files in onedrive

Unable to access online files or files in Onedrive using IE11 and Chrome. Installation of Windows 7 Home premium. A long time ago I could access Skydrive OK.

Onedrive in Windows Explorer shows that the files are synchronized as the icon in the taskbar.

I can access everything very well within 8.1 of Windows on the same computer (dual boot).

I use ESET security, however, there is no change if I disable the firewall.

I can access the Onedrive page that displays the top Blue Ribbon, but none of the links in the Ribbon respond for example settings

Note that the two browsers have been used with the same result, so it seems to be a problem in Windows 7?

Well, it seems that it is a problem that is not dealt with quickly. The problem has been clearly in the windows kernel, transit for IE and Chrome browsers.

My solution was to replace the windows installation with an image of the previous system where the problem did not exist. If the cause of the problem was not understood.

This is a good example of a system image saved this day.

  • Java Virtual Machine Launcher displays, "Unable to access c lib\MP3Rocket.jar" from recently, I get this error message when I try to open my file sharing program "MP3 Rocket". HOW CAN I FIX OR STOP THIS?

Hi I have just solved this problem by going to Java Virtual Machine Launcher poster, "Unable to access c ... . and from there to the MP3 Rocket help site and the connection. From there on, I was able to download MP3 Rocket Pro, but I've changed where I put it, I created a new thing entirely next folder that I knew I had the program back and working again. I did it without having to go through the default programs bit. Give it a try. It is simple and easy. Sometimes I think that we have an overload of information and I found happened to me. • Creative cloud - "Unable to load location Sync" and unable to access cloud files and local files are gone

I continue to receive messages that the creative cloud is unable to synchronize files with my local folder.  The only thing that has changed since it was working yesterday is the creative cloud update installed today.  He keeps creating new "Creative Cloud (unknown) Files" folders in the folder it's supposed to be synchronization of files with.  I can't go to my projects because it is currently impossible to load the location of the synchronization.  I need this fixed ASAP so I can get working on my project.

Creative application cloud seems helpful with 'Open the file' or 'View on the Web' buttons - but they don't do anything when I click on them.  In preferences, I am told it is impossible to load the sync location and the "Contact customer support" does nothing when I click it.

What gives?  I need to go to work

Customer support can be reached and it works again.

The Fix: Delete the Coresync folder and all Adobe processes in the Task Manager and restarted creative cloud.

  • The share of customers unable to access the network - error 0x80004005

Hello, my network has the following configuration.

    • Server - Windows 2003 Server - acting as DNS, domain controller, file server
    • Clients - Windows XP Pro, Windows Vista business, Windows 7 Pro
    • DHCP server is on my router. All customers running on DHCP

For some unknown reason, some network sharing has stopped working since yesterday. When users connect by Ctrl + Alt + Delete by using their network accounts, they are unable to access their computers in office, services, Skype etc., gives an error of 0 x 80004005 (unspecified error). They are not forced to use roaming profiles.

I opened Windows Explorer and typed \\server\share. The same error is invited. However, if I try to access the share of \\ip\share, it can show me the files without a problem.

I took to refine measures issues

    • Connectivity - outcome of the network: Internet access / access server by IP. So no connectivity problem
    • Ping-ing the name of the computer server - result: OK. So not a DNS problem
    • Check firewalls – result: Clients running Windows Firewall correctly. Network type, the value of 'work '.

Other facts that may be useful

    • No third-party firewall. All running on Windows Firewall.
    • No settings changed before problem appeared
    • Problem appeared after a reboot the server

(P.s. Skype prompted "Cannot find necessary files and cannot start". "I think it's the same problem with network shares, because the application data is also stored in network shares.)

  • Unable to access Windows Update page

I am running XP Service Pack 3 and were unable to access the Windows Update page for a few weeks now. I get an error message saying that "Internet Explorer can not locate the page". I tried several routes to access the update page, but they all fail. Analysis of virus and malware picked up nothing. I am running Internet Explorer Ver 8.

It turns out that the problem was software malicious. After the last post, more I tried to do at least I could do: Internet Explporer wouldn't start again, I could not copy files from one drive to the other and my backup software has been disabled. I have reinstalled Windows to solve problems. Scans of my files from backup using Quick Heal has revealed the presence of Trojan.Gen, who may have let in some other bad guys. I can now access the update site.

    Hello

    ·         You can use the keyboard or the mouse wireless?

I know, a wireless device can cause damaged screen saver. If so, please change another available cable device.

By default, the settings are different from different screensavers. Some screensavers have these options to be set in the window of the screen saver, as the text the screen saver, 3D Screensaver pictures, popular screensaver and screensaver of Windows Live Photo Gallery. Some screen savers have no options to set in the window of the screen saver, such as screen saver Aurora, the white screensaver, the screensaver bubbles, Mystify, ribbons screen saver screen saver and Windows Logo screen saver. However, if you want to change these settings for screen savers, you can customize them through the registry instead.

To resolve this problem, I would propose the following suggestions.

Method 1: Try to scanner auditor of file system (CFS) on the computer that would be a system file corrupt on the computer search and replace.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833

Method 2: Check if the screen saver is activated, please follow the following link to get the procedure.

Enable or disable screen saver: http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/turn-your-screen-saver-on-or-off

Method 3: try to change several screensavers and see if none of them works. You can visit the following Web site to change the screen saver.

    Change screen saver: http://www.Microsoft.com/enable/training/windowsvista/saver.aspx

Method 4: A screen saver that shows images stops working in Windows

To do: Important this section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. Method 5: System Restore

Screen saver can also be related to Windows Update, if you have installed Windows updates recently, please perform a system restore (if you have a restore point when the computer run without any problem). You can visit the following website for detailed steps.
