Unable to connect via Connect-VIServer

Hi all!

So here's the scoop:

I have a service account that connects our different servers of vSphere for various applications / reporting tools we use.  I have a script to remove the ISO every night - the script works very well except a portion - connecting to the vSphere servers themselves.

Even manually enter the connection string in PowerShell returns the same error:

Cannot complete the connection due to an incorrect user name or password.

I then go to vSphere and use the same credentials and I am able to connect.  I don't know where to go with that many other administrative applications use this account and all work fine.  Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance for any idea on this issue!

Sincere greetings,

ALAN

This seems to work for me, you can give it a try?

Create the file with the password

Read-Host -AsSecureString |
ConvertFrom-SecureString |
Out-File C:\VCS.txt

Then to use the encrypted password

$user = 'domain\uname' $cred = New-Object System.Management.Automation.PsCredential $user,(Get-Content c:\vcs.txt| ConvertTo-SecureString)

Connect-VIServer vcenter -Credential $cred

Look in the Device Manager. Maybe it's the wireless network card disabled. So activate it.

Also try an update of the WLAN driver. You can find it on the Toshiba site:

WiFi is turned on. He finds my BT Home Hub but when I connect, it just says: it's impossible.

Have you checked the Wifi device in Device Manager? The driver is properly installed?

Try turning off your firewall, which could block the Wifi connection.

  • Unable to connect via nfs, ftp only

My network has two devices NAs - a NetGear ReadyNAS 102 (2x1To) and an OXFORD (NAs French device, 1x500GB). I'm trying to set up a weekly backup of critical files to the ReadyNAS to the GLOBAL system.

On the OXFORD ring road, I activated CIFS, NFS and FTP. Using FTP, I am able to connect to the NAS without problems. However, I couldn't finish a single backup via FTP. Have had some problems with the audio device Yamaha for another thread, which now seems to be resolved. Thank you!

However, do not know why, but now unable to connect to the internet via a wireless network, although the router works well as another computer in the House is connected wireless.

When you check the available wireless networks it comes up with "no wireless networks were found in range, make sure that your computer's wireless switch is on.
Where to check it, can anyone help?

    Thank you

On the left side, there is WLAN switch. Make sure that the switch is in on IT. After doing this using FN + F8 key combination and activate WLAN device.

After having done that, you should be able to see the WLAN networks available in your area.

  • Unable to connect to the printer via IP address

I changed my ISP (internet service provider) and therefore changed routers - now unable to connect to the printer.
I put a static IP address on my HP Photosmart B110a printer before we changed to ISP because there are connection problems. When we were setup to the ISP again, we are unable to connect to the printer, such as the printers IP 192.168.1.12
The new network ISP IP range is 192.168.0.xx and printers address IP is out of the network.
I can print via the USB cable but I can't return to my printers GUI by entering 192.168.1.12 return the printer back from the static IP address.
A hard reset for this printer would be appreciated.
    Thank you very much.

    Hello
I solved the problem. The answer was staring face heres so my solution for someone who has had similar problems.
I didn't dig up the old router that affects the 192.168.1.xx IP network and then connected my PC, connected my printer then connected printers user interface through the static IP address, I assigned earlier. Changed to automatic IP. Connected my new router (which assigns the IP addresses of 192.168.0.xx) to my PC and printer. Everything is now OK.
    Thank you.

  • Unable to connect to the Internet via a Linksys Wireless card

I used a Linksys BEFW11S4 for several years with no problems.  A PC is connected via a network cable and the other (Dell laptop) used a wireless adapter Linksys that plugged into the laptop (model of Linksys WPC11 ver (4).  All my computers using Windows XP with the latest service packs.

I plugged the Dell laptop to the router via a cable to transfer files faster than the network B.  Then, when I disconnected the cable and reconnected the wireless card, I was unable to use the Wi - Fi connection to connect to the internet.  Wired works very well, is not wireless.

Windows reports a good wireless connection to the router, but the machine is unable to connect to the internet using the wireless card.  It can connect to the internet when using a network cable, however.

Pings what either using the Wi - Fi connection failed (expired).

I used another laptop (a more recent Toshiba with a wireless card built-in) to connect to the router and it works very well with the connectivity wired or wireless.  No problem switching back with this machine.  So, the problem is not with the router or the router configuration.

I was through the forums and seen a LOT of people seems to have the same problem with these Wireless Linksys routers.

I tried to use the Easy Link software to configure the machine, but: (1) Linksys updated web site is not valid, and (2) with the www.linksysfix.com/ela site that directs users to the software is also invalid.  Linksys technical support seems to be lacking.

I went to the usual network setup menus and two laptops seem to be configured the same way, again, we're working wireless and we do not.

I would appreciate solutions others have tried and who has worked with this problem.

I reinstalled the drivers for the Linksys card and it does not work.  Windows recognizes the new hardware card, reports that it is connected to the router, but still no internet connection

  • Unable to connect laptop to TV via HDMI cable

    Original title: unable to connect

I recently put HP G-62 - b51SE.I tried to connect to my HDMI TV using the HDMI cable but nothing works. Is there a way I can connect. What settings should I do in order to make the display appear on television. I have windows 7 ultimate.

    Hi Lovemicrosoft,

    1. first you need a video cable to make the physical connection. For a better image quality, you must connect to the computer to the TV using standard VGA ports or via DVI to HDMI cable provided your TV supports these ports.

    2. open the "display settings" in your Vista computer and activate the output to the TV screen. You can reflect the content of your computer on the TV or extend the display as a double screen control.

    3. pick up your TV remote and switch to "External inputs" in the menu. You need to change the value by default "Video 1" to a different selection which may be "HDMI 1" or "video 2" depending on how you made the connection. "

Important: Make sure you connect the cable to the TV before turning on the computer, because sometimes it may not recognize the external display.

You may also change the resolution of your TV screen using the display settings in your panel of control remains the image may appear distorted.

  • Unable to connect via radio - impossible to obtain network address

    All,

I had to restore this laptop due to virus problems (my daughter system..).  I have put back it and it works except that I am unable to connect to the wireless network.  It says 'Acquiring Network Address' and goes then to the "Limited or no connectivity."

    Here are the details:

    System:

    Inspiron 1300 - XP Pro SP2

Dell Wireless 1370 WLAN Mini-PCI Card

    Parameters:

o use Windows to configure the verified wireless network

o in Dell Wireless Utility, unchecked "let this tool manage your network."

    o WZC: start & automatic

o TCP/IP: Obtain IP automatically and obtain DNS automatically

    I took action:

o reloaded all drivers available for my service tag, including the pilot for

    the network card

o went through all the Dell relevant troubleshooting steps

o I have a different laptop that connects to the wireless network and I

compared the parameters between the systems of work and non-working - they

seem to be the same (another pc and card)

o the 'bad' system can connect to the network via ethernet cable

The status bar displays the network icon (pc screen) with yellow trinangle and!

and 5 green bars for the network card has an excellent signal with unknown status.

I'm not clear on the question of whether Windows or the utility of the card should be network management; I tried both to no avail.  I'm basically out of options to try and hoping someone can help me.

Please let me know if there are any additional necessary information.

Thank you in advance for your help!
