Unable to connect XP to Windows 8 Working Group

I can ping the Win8 to the XP machine.

I can't ping the XP of the Win8 machine, even if I can use VNC Viewer to distance inside
I disabled all the antivirus and Windows Firewall
Both machines are on a private network with the same workgroup name.
I followed all the steps from Microsoft to ensure that all of the network settings are correct (as to enable file sharing, disable password, etc.).
Machines to connect via Ethernet, not of wireless.
Any ideas?

  • Pavilion 140 550 - t: unable to connect to the windows service

Not sure if it's the good advice of post, but here goes.

Just got the HP computer yesterday and installed Norton Security, Malwarebytes, and Windows Live Mail (do not like the version of Mail). Now, when I start it, I get "Unable to connect to the Windows Service" pop up and WLM crashes when I try to open it. What the DEVIL?

Had the same problem on the one I just replaced. My laptop became the 'Group Policy' error thing, but I think I fixed it.

Any suggestions? Windows is a joke!

If it is Norton Security, then it's a firewall as well and firewalls blocking things, it's that they are supposed to do. So demand for three, you said that this is probably the cause.

But if you do not want to test it, then try the system restore I've mentioned or reload the image origin, then just put in place the email again and see if it works without the other two installed, first to see if it will work with anything else in the picture.

    Hello

It would be a good idea to run the System File Checker tool to see if you have corrupted files

"How to use the System File Checker tool to fix the files on system missing or corrupted on Windows Vista or Windows 7"

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833

Use the (SFC.exe) System File Checker tool to determine which file is causing the problem and then replace the file. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. Open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click principally made programs, Accessories, right-click guest, and then click run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click allow.
    2. Type the following command and press ENTER:
      sfc/scannow

The sfc/scannow command analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.

Hi, I have a dell Windows pc 8.

He just started to give an error message

Unable to connect to a windows server. Windows could not connect to the windows service install all agent users. This problem prevents standard users connect. As long as administrator, you can go through the system event log to see why the service did not respond.

    Any help please

    Kumar,

Thanks for your help. I found a similar problem after I posted. Vijay said on July 7, 2013. He proposed to test the computer in safe mode, and then perform a clean boot to solve the problem.

I tested in mode of sure start before returning to the normal sign in and magically, it seems to have solved the problem.

If the problem comes back, I will try your solution.

Can not think of any changes made to the computer with the exception of a Windows update last weekend.

    Thank you for your support

I work in a school and we have two vista computers in our lab that display the "Cannot connect to a windows service" message and will not allow administrators to connect.

  • U2413, 1.5.8 DUCCS unable to connect. 1.5.3 worked!

Today, I ran the free update of Windows 10 on my desktop computer. After the upgrade was done, I noticed the colors seemed so decided to re - calibrate my two monitors of U2413 off the coast. The software prompted me to upgrade to version 1.5.8 I did before performing the calibration. Unfortunately, when I try to calibrate or any of the screens, I get the message "unable to establish a connection to the screen. Please nake, check that the USB cable is connected and try again. ». I tried to unplug the USB cable from the other monitor I've read in fact release noted that this could be a problem. That did not help. I also ran an update driver for all known drivers to ensure that they are all up to date. Still no luck. I did a factory reset on both screens until I started so the screens are now far away. I really need this to work. Please tell me what I can do to solve this problem.

    Thank you.

I bought a new computer Windows 10 and installed the version of the Dell 1.5.8 calibration software for my existing U2713H monitor. When I tried to calibrate, I kept getting this error: "unable to connect. Found more than one display. Please connect the USB cable on the display you want to calibrate. »

I only have one monitor and it is a brand new computer. I have installed and reinstalled the software. I've tried different USB ports. I upgraded to 1.5.10.  Nothing helps.  After trying several suggested fixes, I found this thread where worked an older version of the software.

I uninstalled the calibration software and located the 1.5.3 old version on a backup drive, installed and it WORKED!

Then, version 1.5.3 works on Windows 10.

    Hi Clem,

    1. you made any hardware or software comes to the computer before the show?

    2. is the computer connected to a network domain?

Also make sure Remote Procedure Call following the same steps above.
    3. restart your computer.

    Method 2:
Download and apply the patch using the link:
The Office will not load and displayed only a black or blue background after you log on to a computer that is running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2

    Method 3:
    a. click the Start button.

    b. type cmd in the search text box.
    c. press Ctrl-Shift-Enter keyboard shortcut to run command as administrator prompt. Allow elevation request.
    d. type netsh winsock reset in the command line shell, and then press the Enter key.

  • I am unable to connect to my windows 7 Professional

    Hello

I played with the local security policy, and I am unable to connect to the user account. It says username or password is incorrect. Here's what I did:
Local security policy > Security Options
Interactive logon: do not display last user name: disabled
Interactive logon: require no CTRL + ALT + DELETE: disabled
I disconnected and then it asked me to press CTRL + ALT + DELETE. It asks me to enter the user name and password. Then I entered the right username and password and it says "username and password invalid." When I get the user name "Administrator" or "guest" he says 'administrator or guest account is disable. Contact the system administrator.
Help kindly with an appropriate solution.
    Thank you
    Gregory Mhatre
You can probably fix your problem by using the system restore. Here's how it works:
    1. keep tapping F8 during the first phase of startup.
    2. select Repair from the menu.
    3. Select an administrator account, and then enter its password.
    4. When you are prompted, select System Restore.
    5. set Windows to a point before you have played with security options.
