Unable to get Windows Update after formatting
Hi, my computer was not working and decided to format. When I formatted, he reversed himself to XP/SP2. Now I can't get Windows Update to work. I can't update Windows Update, install Microsoft Updates or get updates, not even when I tried to do it from the website. The website shows a couple of updates, but when I try to download/install, it fails.
It seems I need to update to SP3 to get updates, but when I try this, told me to go to the updates of Windows. And once again. I can't do this, because it does not work. Is there anything I can do to update to SP3 and get my updates? Thank you
My computer has been pretty well updated, but now it's back to its native form:
Windows XP/SP2
IE6
Have not reinstalled AV, because the computer is not letting me do
I have a Super Antisuperware installed at the moment.
Thank you

Unable to get Windows Mail Server error: ox8CCC7D
All of a sudden, I am unable to send "Windows Mail. I have "Vista Home Premium". I tried a "System Restore" twice, but he said he did not restore.
I have AT & T as my ISP. My number out to SMTP is 25 and incoming is 110. On these boxes, I have not checked "requires authentication. I checked 'Requires authentication' in the box under "outgoing under"Servers"server. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, ptfitzy
Thank you. I discovered an E Mail I sent that went in my "Outbox". When I deleted it, I sent it and now Windows Mail works now. He was watching me in the face all the time.
Thank you very much for answering.

Wiped HP rp5700 scrubber and can't get Windows XP to load on it.
Hi all
I got the task of cleaning the HDD on a HP rp5700 point of sale computer and reinstall Windows XP. I rubbed the hard drive with Dban Boot and Nuke. Worked perfectly. Hard drive is wiped away. But when I try to reinstall Windows XP, the installation CD seems to start normally and go through the process of loading. But after I receive the windows starting message in the status bar. I get another blue screen telling me that
A problem has been detected and windows has shut down to prevent damage to your computer
If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen,
Restart your computer. If this screen appears again follow
the following steps:He then invites me to runCHDSK/F, to see if there is a problem with the hard drive. But do me not not a command-line to do. What I am doing wrong? Should I reformat the hard drive? How to do this without an operating system? Do I need to install a driver? How can I get a CD since there is no floppy drive. DBAN damage the hard drive? XP worked perfectly until I rubbed it. I'm a real loss and under pressure to achieve.
I need to communicate, I am a technician in audio/video by trade and I am not a newbie to computing. But above all, I work on MAC, and am not a COMPUTER guru. So I'll try to answer your questions to the best of my abilities. I appreciate all patience and assistance that you can give me.
Thank you!
If you have the option of Bios Setup to change the disk controller hard AHCI/RAID mode IDE, XP will install without problems, no driver necessary sata.
If you do not have the setting in the Bios, the driver sata for your machine: is HERE
The files will be extracted to C:\Swsetup\sp44098 to create a disk for use with the F6 option for the use of install_or with Nlite for wake.
You can use Nlite to integrate the drivers in a new XP installation cd. NLite will still burn the new cd of XP.
Very easy, really, just follow the guide below closely.http://maxeasyguide.blogspot.com/2008/04/preparations-for-WinXP-installation-CD.html
