  I found the solution to my problem - cannot restore Windows XP backup file (BKF) files.

  Site Web Sysinfo Tools offer tools to repair/restore BKF utility.  In my case, I got the program of BKF recover V2.0.  Program works on all versions of Windows (up to Windows 7).

  BKF recovery program reads Windows XP generated backup file, repair and then restore the files, very fast and efficient.

  The problem: windows fails when starting a new drive.

  I have T430 with Win 7 pro 64-bit.
  The hard drive (hitachi 320 GB 7200 RPM) has the recovery partition. Boot from this drive is very good, and the pc works. The pc CAME preinstalled with the operating system and no DVD has been provided.

  I had the same error once when installing 8 GB of ram on a machine that had run 4 GB... the jury filed for it... 64-bit check, check... but the installation was problematic.   I am experiencing a problem installing Win 7 on my iMac 27 "(ultimo 2009)." I got this version installed two years without a problem, but now it concerns me.

  Don t know what modem you have and need this modem but I recommend checking that my modem manufacturer supplied installation instructions.
  You should also visit the modem manufacturer for more information about the new software, installation or updates

  PS; usually, you can uninstall the software installed in the Panel-> Add & Remove software.

  Otherwise, I recommend tool called CCleaner. It cleans the operating system, the registry and it s useful to remove the software from the HARD drive.
