  Symptoms: Booted computer, loaded the raid drivers and showed at the start screen XP for half a second then to BSOD with a Stop error Code 0x0000007E - see also a lot of users (0xC0000001D, 0 x-, etc.) as well.

  Solution:

  1 boot from your Windows XP CD and start the recovery console. You may need to press F6 while RC loads in order to load the SATA drivers. you will have a prompt c:\WINDOWS to the console.

  2. type: CD $NtUninstallKB977165$ \spuninst (it's the update, I had to uninstall to get out of the boot loop, other updates can be uninstalled by changing the name of the directory to $NtUninstallKBCODE$, where KBCODE is the code KB)

  3. type: BATCH spuninst.txt

  4. type: exit

  Don't forget to configure your system to boot from the HD before resuming. I hope this helps. Saved me a lot of hassle today.

• Help to find the installed license key

  We are upgrading our portable Windows 7 in the office and need to uninstall and reinstall our Adobe Acrobat 11 Standard individual copies.  I followed the article on how to connect to my Adobe account, but he already knew that would not work because we have a great team of COMPUTER and they all have been installed by an employee who is no longer there.  Then of course under my login information, there are no registered codes. I don't have the original redemption Codes or license keys that were given during the installation of the software a few years ago.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  I'm afraid there is no option to get the serial number for the installed application from Adobe.

  However, in this case I suggest you look for any 3rd party tool that may be useful to retrieve the serial number to install applications.

  We ran two hosts running ESXi managed by VMware Virtual Infrastructure Client for a few weeks - I think that it's all free software?  I wait until the 21st to order vSphere Essentials but in the meantime thought I could trial vCenter.  I installed vCenter on my laptop but never used, but when I started to VIC I started having a recall notice.  Evaluation having been exhausted, but instead to return to the previous situation where I could use VIC to individually manage the ESXi host, now when I open VIC I get the following message:

  "ESX Server is returned to its previous state of license when the evaluation period expires.  The following features are no longer available: Consolidated Backup.  To enable these features, you must upgrade your ESX Server license. »

  When I try and start one of my virtual machines, I get the following message:

  "There are not enough licenses to complete this operation. "Select the host containing the virtual machine, you are trying to turn on, click the Configuration tab and change the licenses.

  When I connect to my other host I don't get either the message above, so it seems have triggered something on my first host.  All I want to do is continue to run ESXi and VIC as before I installed vCenter - can anyone advise please?  Should I put in the license key you get after registering to download ESXi?

  If your vCenter evaluation has expired, you will need to manage it welcomes as standalone.  When you download ESXi you should have a s/n.  This key must be added where it says "use serial number."

  I bought a refurbished Pavilion p7-1423w a couple of years and a couple of weeks, it's totally dead.  It wouldn't boot on hard drive, CD, DVD, or USB, and I couldn't get into the BIOS.  It was toast.  Thinking that it was the motherboard, I bought as close to the same motherboard came with the computer as possible, hoping it would always start windows.  I replace the motherboard, and after several attempts, I got it to start on Windows.  But then I realized that Winodws was not enabled, so, apparently, that the Windows key has been changed somehow.

  My computer came with Windows 8 is installed, and I see that the keys are in the old motherboard BIOS, which is dead.  I tried to recover the old key from the hard drive in Windows.old, but not luck.

  HP can provide new keys for me since the death of the motherboard?  The product is no longer under warranty, so it seems that this will cost me $60 to call them.  Is this correct?

  Rzgui, welcome to the forum.

  The license for Windows on OEM computers is only for the original configuration.  Microsoft will not make available product keys.  You will need to purchase a full copy of Windows.

  Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

  I recently digitally upgraded from Lightroom 3 to 5 Lightroom via the Adobe online store, and the upgrade process simply questioned my machine for the license key original of the download / upgrade.  Later, I bought a more powerful laptop for editing and am migrating to Lightroom - however, I'm wondering for TWO license keys - and I don't have the ORIGINAL recording.  I am very frustrated with this requirement of Adobe and wonder if someone could tell me a way to display the original license key (or find someone in Adobe that could send it to me)?

  Hi Pjcampbells,

  Serial numbers are required for installation, but not for download, if your number of Lightroom 3 would not have been recorded when you downloaded the upgrade of the LR5. Only if you have saved the number of LR3 it will be available in your account. I suggest that you contact the customer service by chat and request that they look for the serial number of your LR3. Cat representatives are unable to technical troubleshooting for older software such as LR3 and LR5, but they can help with questions about licensing and activation.

  Either way, when you say that you are trying to migrate from Lightroom, do you mean you are trying to transfer the program from a backup? If so, please be aware that software Adobe generally does not migrate properly because of hidden registration files. It must be installed by disk or by downloading the appropriate installation program. LR 5 is available here: Install Photoshop Lightroom.

  It is not likely that you will be able to get support from Adobe to provide you with a new license key.  They might be able to provide the original if you are not able to find it yourself, but they could also deny all support to the old product.

  In any case they are not likely to be around until after the weekend.

  Hello, my colleague has recently retired and I inherited his job.  I know that he had a valid legal copy of VMWARE workstation 6.5, which came in a box containing the license key printed on a sheet of paper and paper-copy of the book.  However, I'm unable to locate these items now.

(yearmonth), but it does not contain a serial number, but rather a hash of the serial number.
