Unable to run 'Run' as administrator, yes programs?

Make a right click on the 'Run' Application does not list "Run as Admin" option.  Other programs can be run as an administrator and have the ability to pull up in the right click.  I tried to go through the Properties window, but "Run as Admin" is used in the output of the checkbox. I also tried through regedit, but HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Layers folder is missing.

I am, of course, the administrator aaccount.  Any suggestions?

This is not true:

OK, I spoke evil. ""Run as Administrator"will not appear in the extension of shortcut is not included in the PathExt %" variable. Examples: Shortcuts that refer to a word or a PDF file.

  • Unable to run .exe files without using runas:administrator

    Original title: Windows Script Profiler?

I recently had a virus on my computer, and it's file, he decided to corrupt. So, naturally, the antivirus got rid of him. Apparently, it was a pretty important, because now shortcuts to executables do work if I run as administrator (otherwise, I must point out the path for the time of EACH shortcut manually) and pitchers for the games that open several executables for the open game (EX: LOTRO) do any work.

Is there a way I could get this file? (yes I tried the system restore: it did not work)

  • If you run the program Setup 'Run as Administrator', executable runs with high fees?

    Hello

Installer of LV chose "run the executable at the end of installation.
If you run the installation program "Run as Administrator", the executable runs with high fees?

    Best regards

My apologies - configure when the installer to "run the executable at end of installation", it will run this executable with the admin rights because the installation program itself requires administrator rights.

LabVIEW installation program can create registry keys for you.

For your more advanced customization (e.g. selection modules), you have to look different (e.g. InnoSetup) using a solution of installation or you would need to write an executable in LabVIEW that you run after installation that allows you to select the Setup programs you want and run them using System Exec.

  • Why some games and other programs need to be "run as Administrator" mode in 7RC which worked fine in normal mode on 7 beta and vista?

Why some games and other programs must be run in Admin mode in 7RC which worked fine in normal mode on 7 beta and vista?

An example of this is the game Guild Wars (www.guildwars.com). I had problems with this with random programs.

    cbello57,
Run as administrator may be required for some games and programs because they have a permission structure different in Vista in Windows 7 (Windows 7 and Vista are different in how to manage certain permissions).

I suggest test you installation of the game in the program by clicking on the Setup file by clicking on "Run as administrator".

This will sometimes solve this kind of situation because it installed the program in a State of high permission.

  • No XP (service pack 3) or run as Administrator program compatibility options.

Another issue is before you install a program that I downloaded, I right click it and go to properties > compatibility and under run this program in compatibility mode for: there is no option for Windows XP service pack 3 or run as Administrator option. It lists only older versions of Windows and Windows NT 4.0 (service pack 5). I doubled checked that my OS is XP (service pack 3) and my account has administrator privileges, so it's really confusing me! Any clarification would be much appreciated!

    -Eva :)

Have you tried just downloading, just empty without trying to run it in compatibility mode? I don't think you'll find an xp in the drop-down list entry simply because you run a xp machine and there is no place to enter xp when you try to run a compatible software xp on a xp machine.

This problem occurs when the agent Windows Update Wups2.dll file is incorrectly registered in the registry. Because registry files that correspond to the Wups2.dll file are missing, update facilities have failed. There are two methods to resolve this issue, use method 1 first, and if it did not resolve your issue, go to method 2

Method 1: Save the Windows Update files

    1. click Start and type notepad in the box start the search .

    2. click on Notepad in the programs list.

    3. copy the following commands, and then paste them into the opened Notepad window:

    REGSVR32 WUPS2. DLL/S
    REGSVR32 STINKS. DLL/S
    REGSVR32 WUAUENG. DLL/S
    REGSVR32 WUAPI. DLL/S
    REGSVR32 WUCLTUX. DLL/S
    REGSVR32 WUWEBV. DLL/S
    REGSVR32 JSCRIPT. DLL/S
    REGSVR32 MSXML3. DLL/S

    1. in Notepad, on the file menu, click on record under .

    2. in the list record under , click all files .

    3. in the file name box, type register.bat .

    4. save the Register.bat file to your desktop.

5 right-click the Register.bat file, and then click run as administrator . Collapse this includes this image if you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or click continue .

    6. try to install the updates again.

Method 2: Download and install Windows Update agent

  • Open administrator cannot open any programs unless you run as administrator.

.. .UAC not OPEN cannot open unless you run as administrator programs.  IE9 IS NOT ONLY IS NOT OPEN

    Hi ionpetcu,

    ·         Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

    ·         You get the error message?

    Follow these methods.

Method 1: Temporarily disable the security software .

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Method 2: Disable user account control and check.

Enable or disable the User Account Control

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/turn-user-account-control-on-or-off

Note: User Account Control (UAC) can help you to prevent your computer from unauthorized changes. It works by asking permission when a task requires administrative rights, such as installing software or changing settings affecting other users.

Method 3: If the problem persists, create a new administrator user account.

    Create a user account

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/create-a-user-account

If the problem is resolved in a new user account, and then follow the article on how to fix a corrupted user account.

had a virus earlier today, I think it was the security of windows one... anyway I got rid of it with malwarebytes and restarted my computer. now, for some reason, I can't run programs without going through a right-click and run as an administrator.
When I try to run normally (left-click) I get this window "open with."
I'm not very good with technical terms, but I tried several fixes that have failed

When I right click, open properties, then open the tab compatibility... "run this program as Administrator" button is grayed out so I can't do anything with that.

turning UAC enabled or disabled dosent seem to do anything.

Some programs are completely inaccessible, (like microsoft word)

I also watched regedit but as didemt not a lot of sense to me at all. If anyone could break how to fix this step by step before reinstalling the DVD (which I did not), you will be my best friend

Method 1: Disable the security software and verify afterwards; Follow the steps mentioned in the link below

    Disable the antivirus software

If you use a non-Microsoft security software, you can check the documentation provided with the program to achieve this.

  • Cannot remove the run as administrator by a program icon option

Hi, I'm under Windows 7 Home Premium on a PC clean.  I had a problem with a program so I put for run as administrator (the icon properties, box to checked for run as administrator).  The icon of the program now has the emblem shield on it.

I have problems to remove this option.  Even if the option is unchecked under properties, the shield remains on the slopes of the icon and stills as administrator.

I also uninstalled the program, reinstalled AND the shield is back :-(

Can someone help me remove the option so that the program will run again in normal mode... NOT administrator mode.

    What about Paul

    Hi brispaul

We would like to know the name of the program that has the problem.

You can probably go to the location of programs where it is installed and remove the current shortcut and create a new shortcut from the source file.

By default, all the programs installed on your computer are listed in C: Program files

  • How can I enable the "Run as Administrator" install a program in Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium

    Hello

I am trying to install a backup program on my computer. I am the administrator and the only user of this computer. When I right click to install the program I do not get the "run as Administrator" option, but install. (For this program only all others I get "Run as Administrator".) After changing the UAC I still could not install. I then installed 'Take Ownership' in the menu, but still can not install the program because that supposedly, I do not have the necessary privileges. Then I contacted the manufacturer of the program and told me...

Based on the problem that you are experiencing, it is a possible solution, we have tried before.
I need you to delete a file (ctd.db - it can be represented by ctd right on your machine depending on settings)
    Go here:
    C:\Windows\System32\config\

The path to this program on my pc is not not than stated previously. I could not remove him. I tried other methods without success. Attempted to create another account as administrator, but was not allowed to do.

Any suggestion will be highly appreciated.

    Thank you

  • How to stop a program that runs as administrator

When you start a program that I use regularly, I clicked "run as administrator", how can I fix this so the program no longer works as an administrator?

I tried to go in the properties and uncheck "run as Administrator".

    Help, please!

The "Run as Administrator" option in the menu popup is used only once when you select.  It is not stored and permantently used for future time you use the program.

Just close the program, then click the icon to open it normally and it is no longer "will run as an administrator" unless tell you him again.
