Unable to send an email using Windows 8 mail application

Original title: Outlook.com with BTinternet email compatibility

I have Windows 8.1 and try to use the Outlook webmail to send and receive emails from my btinternet account. I can receive but not send emails. I checked and rechecked the settings for incoming and outgoing messages, and all are defined by BT for use with webmail. Messages sent from my btinternet address returned by postmaster at Hotmail after several hours and after receiving a notice of delay

Hi Bob,

As you cannot send an e-mail using webmail on Internet Explorer, as well as the issue might be with BT server.

To check if the problem is really with the Windows 8 mail application, I suggest you add another email and see if you are facing difficulties during use.

Get back to us if you need further assistance.

Thank you.

Looks like you are running in a block of 25 port.
As a general rule, the owner of port 25 SMTP server you use must be the same as the entity that provides your Internet connection at the moment. To learn more about this issue, see anti-spam

The workarounds available when sending abroad are the following:

    1. use webmail to send (via your browser).
    2. ask your ISP if they have one port other than '25' for SMTP.
    3. If you use the same connection away from home frequently,
Replace with the SMTP belonging in this regard. It's a bit
difficult, but if you want to go this route, I can provide more details.
    4. If you frequently send to multiple locations, get a free Gmail account,
Configure it to POP access, set up in Windows Mail and use it to
your shipment of household chores. Gmail uses port 465 for SMTP, which is not blocked
    as port 25 is.

  • 0x800CCC0F error code is trying to send an email using Windows Live Mail

Apparently not answered my question, even if it is requested - a lot!  Here once again is:

I can receive but not send mail with Windows Live Mail.  I have a new laptop - less than 1 week, running Windows 7 Home.
I set up my email accounts exactly the same as in Outlook on my old machine.  I have them set up on my phone without problem as well.  Only it does not work with Windows Live Mail.

I have McAfee Firewall and Virus Checker - which I disabled it according to other positions.  Not good, it won't send.  No matter what I do, this is the error:

Your server suddenly put an end to the connection. The possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity.

Why, when I send an email using windows mail (RoadRunner ISP) sometimes it does not transmit the image that are in the original.

Some messages are not complying with the standards of the Internet and the images do not show before their delivery.  You can overcome this by transmitting the message as an attachment instead, and then the images will be intact.

  • Sending photos by email using Windows Live Mail instead of Outlook

Why is it not possible to use Windows Live Mail instead of Outlook to send photos to the Gallery?

The Gallery is expected to launch a new message in your default e-mail program...

Try the following steps to set up WIndows Live Mail as your default e-mail program.

Open Internet Explorer and go to... Tools / Internet Options / Programs tab...

Open the e-mail drop window and select (highlight)... Windows Live Mail as the

  • How to send creative emails from Windows live mail to windows 98 2000 XP have received written and created.

I create an artistic email in windows live mail and is not received, as I wrote with backgrounds and colors or sometimes even the script, by older versions of windows, IE:-2000 - XP, it happens always modified capacity versions to which it is sent, how is it overcome? Should it be sent in another format as an attachment, a message in a message, so that put and how do you do that?

    Sincerely Graham J mobbs

Windows Live Mail does not allow scripts and other aspects of dynamic HTML.  If you have a message from OE or Windows Mail (Vista) that has these capabilities so you can send this message as a file as an attachment in a message eml and which will then open in OE or WinMail on the recipient machine.  Or you can rename it to eml to mht and who will then open in Internet Explorer on the recipient end.  But impossible to use WLM to compose such a message, as these features were eliminated in it.

There are other options to overcome these limitations in Windows Live Mail, so that users can continue to be creative in their e-mail.  Seewww.oehelp.com/OEnWin7.aspx for some of them.

  • Insert a table into an HTML email - using WIndows Live Mail

I use Windows Live Mail to my email software.

I just want to insert a table into my messages sometimes, but I don't see an obvious way to do it.

I certainly think that its possible, I don't really see it.

    Your response is appreciated

    Bob

    Windows 7 64

You used to be able to do this with OE with Insert. Text file and then designate a htm and then file it will get inserted.  So, if you save the table as a htm file, you might be able to do.  You can also try to copy (of a Web page) and then paste it into the e-mail.

I'm not an expert on WLM, so if this does not help, ask in the forum here that is specific to Windows Live Mail: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windowslive/forum/email they also severely diminished the capacity of WLM, so you may not be able to achieve.

Analysis of e-mail may be at fault here too. Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the CPUs, slows down sending and receiving and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs, account setting changes and has even been responsible for the loss of messages.
