Unable to share the custom dashboard

Hello

I have the Version 5.8.2, build 1885282 od VCOPS company.

It's the update from version 5.8.1.

I created several dashboards customized in the version 5.8.1 I was able to share them between groups.

But now in version 5.8.2 I don't see / have the share for dashboards customized button. All I see is:

Dashboard tools: MODIFY REMOVE CLONE INTERACTIONS CREATE TEMPLATE EXPORT and IMPORT

I'm in the band directors with all active access right.

No idea what happened?

Thank you

Problem solved.

The problem is connected to the web browser. Firefox and Chrome do not allow to share custom dashboards. Either a sharing option as there is no problem at all. Share - is the only one missing out of the entire line, and it became very confused to me. Login as administrator, Member of the Admin group, does not. The time I had to go to IE (which is very rarely as you can see) I was able to share the dashboard.

Thank you very much for the help.

Installers usually get Flash Adobe for open web browsers before installing and recommend it be closed before you install it. Then, try to go to the dashboard and then move your mouse over any widget open and then hold down option (or alt) and a small must appear in the upper left corner of the widget. Click to close the widget. Repeat this for all open widgets, and then re-run the installer of Flash. »

  • Unable to share the drive C on the same machine Win7 (can on others)... OS refuses to accept the option "share the folder.

This computer worked fine until two days ago, when an upgrade of the software McAfee killed my internet access and AT & T has removed (by chance, they say) my static IP. They have restored these and I have reassigned IPs and dumped McAfee. Now I can access the Internet but can not reach one of my other machines. It's particularly frustrating when I follow the steps to share the C drive, nothing happens, and I have no shared status. Of course, I can't map the drive. I'm assuming that somethings that's hard shot in the registry, but this is way beyond my skill level. Help will be greatly appreciated.

I came across a weird solution, namel map drives in virtual XP and transfer files to the parent program. I don't know why it works, or more to learn from this, but it works what.

I also tried a number of suggestions on the Web to change the registry entries. Despite assertions to the contrary, none worked for me. Not too surprised if two other computers more my iPad and iPhone have no problem to share with the network devices.

    Hello

    Maybe this can help.

Win7 when configured on the peer-to-peer network has three types of configurations of sharing.

Group residential network = only works between Win 7 computers. This type of configuration, it is very easy to entry level users to start sharing network.

Working network = fundamentally similar to previous methods of sharing that allow you to control what, how and to whom the records would be shared with.

    Public share
= network Public (as Internet Café) in order to reduce security risks.

Make sure that the software firewall on each computer allows free local traffic. If you use 3rd party Firewall on, Vista/XP Firewall Native should be disabled, and the active firewall has adjusted to your network numbers IP on what is sometimes called the Zone of confidence (see part 3 firewall instructions

    General example, http://www.ezlan.net/faq#trusted
Please note that some 3rd party software firewall continue to block the same aspects it traffic Local, they are turned Off (disabled). If possible, configure the firewall correctly or completely uninstall to allow a clean flow of local network traffic. If the 3rd party software is uninstalled, or disables, make sure Windows native firewall is active .

In the center of the network, by clicking on the type of network opens the window to the right.

When you have finished the configuration of the system, it is recommended to restart everything the router and all computers involved.

    -------------

If you have authorization and security problems, check the following settings.

Point to a folder that wants to share do right click and choose Properties.

    In the properties

Click on the Security tab shown in the bellows of the photo on the right) and verify that users and their permissions (see photo below Centre and left) are configured correctly. Then do the same for the authorization tab.

This screen shot is of the Win 7, Vista menus are similar.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/permission-security.jpg

The Security Panel and the authorization Panel, you need to highlight each user/group and consider that the authorization controls are verified correctly.

When everything is OK, restart the network (router and computer).

    * Note . The groups and users listed in the screen-shoot are just an example. Your list will focus on how your system is configured.

    * Note . There must be specific users. All means all users who already have an account now as users. This does not mean everyone who feel they would like to connect.

    ---------------------

    * Note. Some of the processes described above are made sake not for Windows, but to compensate for different routers and how their firmware works and stores information about computers that are networked.

  • How to change permission to all users in the custom dashboard

    Hello

I created the new personalized dashboard I want to give access to my colleagues to give the permission to change. Please let me know how to do this?

    Thank you

    Vivek

    Hi Vivek-

Is it a dashboard drag-and - déposer? If so, open the right in Foglight pane, click the general tab, and then click Properties,

then click on change the basic properties. Change the setting of relevant role, and then click all the checkboxes you see. That should leave no matter what other Foglight regardless of role or permission, users have access to your dashboard. It must be visible when they connect a field in the left navigation pane called "other users Dashboards."

    I hope this helps.

  • Number of alarm for a custom dashboard report

    Hello

We have a custom dashboard created for the team which shows a subset of the alarms which concern only the Unix Unix team

How to generate a report that shows all alarms that applies only to the personal dashboard. Is it possible to retrieve the total number of alarms (criticism / warning and Fatal separately) generated in a day.

    Thanks and greetings

    Shaji S

    Hi Shaji,

I think that, before anyone can help with this question, you need give a little more information about the custom dashboard and how it gets its data, specifically how the dashboard does know what alarms to display.

Dashboards customized very often uses the services to restrict or choose what they post.  If this is the case for your personalized dashboard, you can use the "analysis - Hosts events" report to report on the alarms against the hosts in this service.

    Hello:

    System Info-

    Home - Windows 7 Pro, 64-Bit.

    VMware Workstation 7.1.4.

    Guest OS - Solaris 10

I want to install Oracle 11g and a content on the virtual machine image server. However, I'm unable to share the installation of my Windows host files to Solaris VM Image.

    Method that I follow-

      1. Set the network as NAT settings
      2. Share a folder on the host operating system

It has no desire to return results.

Could someone guide me please how I can share the folder of the host and install software required on my Solaris virtual machine Image?

    Thank you...

I have not a handy at the moment to test with Solaris VM but when I want to get something into a virtual machine with no network or connectivity VMware Tools installed to be able to drag and drop or use VMware Shared Folders, then I just simply create an ISO Image containing what I enter in the virtual machine and place the CD/DVD to use , or use a USB drive.

  • Here is the configuration I am unable to share a HP 3930 printer that is connected to a desktop computer Windows 7 64 - bit to a 32 bit Vista laptop

I enabled sharing the printer and I do not use password protected sharing.  I am able to open shared files from one computer to another.  But when I try to connect to the printer I get the following message "unable to connect to the printer. Make sure you typed the name correctly and the printer is connected to the network. "The printer is offline.  I plugged the printer two computers so that pilots would download and install. And in the number of firewall I have disabled them in order to try to get this working.

HP Support & drivers - go to the site Web and download/install the drivers and utilities for Vista 32 bit HP.
    http://welcome.HP.com/country/us/en/support_task.html

Share the printer on the Windows 7 computer. Go to the Vista machine, then install the drivers you downloaded. The printer must be collected during the installation procedure. If this isn't the case, install the drivers and then use the Add Printer Wizard. In some cases, printers must be installed as local printers. If the regular installation does not see the printer:

Go to the Windows 7 machine. Note the name of the computer that you will get to the control panel > system > computer name. Now in the Panel, go to the printers. Find the printer in question, right-click, and then click Properties. Note the name of the share. Of course you must have already set up file sharing / print on all computers involved and share the printer.

Now go to the machine Vista, control panel > printers > add printer

Click Add a local printer. Click on create a new port. The default value in the drop-down list box is Local Port. Don't change that. Click Next. A dialog box appears for you request that you enter a port name. Type in the \\FullComputername\SharedPrintername

ex: \\mycomputer\HPDJ (that's why you wrote the names of computer and printer in the first step)

Click Next. In the manufacturers list, select the correct printer manufacturer and the correct printer model in the Printers list. Under "do you want to use this printer as default printer select"Yes"(if you do!). and click Next. When asked to print a test page, select 'Yes', then finish.
