Unable to switch to standard screen mode: PS CS5

Full screen with or without menu is grayed out in the view menu and the view menu bar dropdown selector. I quit smoking and readmitted PS and have reset all default workspaces. I checked that I work in 64-bit. I can't yet change standard screen. Last update was 12.04. Last installed extending was photokit sharpener.

Thanks for any help. (PS, how to reset preferences on mac file?)

Cathy

Well, that's weird. I was going to say trash your prefs. And you have a document opens when you try to change view modes? (It's the only way I know to have seen gray modes)

"" Apart authentication flag, for example "t ws" without the quotes, start of the executable vmrun command takes two parameters, the first being 'Vmx file path' and the second being one of the following ' [gui | nogui]. " so I would say that the answer to your question is no.

For example: ws t vmrun start "c:\my VMs\myVM.vmx" gui

I found an option to start a virtual in the background, but nothing about machine indicating a with GUI and full-screen mode. Is this possible?

A solution would be to use something scripted in the first configuration of the VM target .vmx file is checked for the following 3 options and set as and then call vmrun then by the script.

    gui.fullScreenAtPowerOn = 'TRUE '.

    gui.viewModeAtPowerOn = "full screen".

    gui.lastPoweredViewMode = "full screen".

    Hi adamsioux1,

    · What is the number and the model of the computer?

Try the methods and check the results below:

    Method 1:

Try changing the screen resolution something like 1024 x 768, then check if the problem persists. You can check the link for the procedure below: to change your screen resolution: http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/display_change_screen_resolution.mspx?mfr=true

    Method 2:

Install the drivers of the last update of the device screen and check the result.

    a. click on start

    b. click Run, in the Open box type devmgmt.msc

    c. find the display driver

    d. double-click the type of device

    e. right click on the device driver specific, you want to update or change.

    f. click on update driver to open the Hardware Update Wizard. Follow the instructions in the wizard

  • In Photoshop CC 2015, when I switch to full screen mode (only F tap, not two) my panels often disappear (but not always) by themselves.  I exit full screen to retrieve them.

I had this problem two major updates there is a CC of Photoshop.  The last update seemed to remedy, but with the last update major it is back.  I enter full screen often, as this is how I prefer to work and usually it works fine.  I know that the panels disappear if I press F twice, but I'm not in this mode, I'm only in the first full-screen mode.  They do not disappear immediately.  They disappear more often right after an action, for example when the action makes the Panel properties pop up, all other panels (layers, etc.) will disappear.  Sometimes press the tab brings back them, sometimes it just makes drop-down menus (file, editing, etc.) appear and disappear.  I can't be the only one with this problem, but I have not yet find a discussion on the subject.

Someone has an idea what is the problem?

I have an i7-4770 CPU and GPU Radeon R9 200 series running Windows 8.1

    Hi Mdentonetc,

If this is the latest version of Photoshop and you do not have enough customize the tools Panel, then you can try resetting that default return Photoshop preferences.

    Steps to follow:

To re-create the Photoshop preferences files, start the application while pressing Ctrl + Alt + Shift (Windows) or command + Option + shift (Mac OS). Then, click Yes to the message, "Delete the Adobe Photoshop settings file?"

Lets us know if that helps.

  • Questions: Create a new layer / switch between the screen Modes

I spent the day to reset my workflow and keyboard shortcuts that I have the transition from CS5.5 on CC. A question about the ID:

    1. create a new layer draws up the InDesign menus? In CS5.5, I managed to create a shortcut customized in three programs (PS, I, ID). In cloud creative, no matter how hard I look in InDesign, that I can't find a place in the dialog box shortcuts keyboard to make a shortcut for this command.

2 in Photoshop and Illustrator, by pressing the F button toggles between screen modes. In InDesign CS5.5, it does the same thing. However, CC does not seem to have this feature. He wants to assign three different shortcuts for Normal, overview and presentation of the screens. Correct, and is it possible to return to a toggle key 'F'?

    Thank you!

Perhaps scriptable. Ask in the InDesign scripting

  • Cannot switch to 64-bit mode in CS5!

I went to the 43 bit mode in CS5 by clicking on the checkbox in the info. section. I want to go back but the checkbox is no longer visible! Where it's going and how I switch back?

Get info on the application, not the folder.

Unless you have removed a large number of files, the switch will be there.

  • Cannot change workspace in Standard screen Mode

For some reason any Photoshop won't let me change workspaces (upper pane or menu bar) if I am in full screen with menu bar mode. Is there a reason for this? Am that I only this experience?

Yes, long story, but it is a workaround for problem.

  • When you open a PDF file, it automatically prints & switches to full screen mode

First of all, I apologize if it's in the category wrong forum - I couldn't find a category that corresponds to this number, something like 'implementation of the software.

I use Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro on Windows 10.  The software works very well.

However, whenever I open a PDF file, the software automatically opens a dialogue box invites me to print the PDF file.  Usually I do not want to print the PDF and have quit the dialog box.  Second, once I left out of the print dialog box, the software invites me to indicate that if I want to put the document in view full screen, which usually I don't want to do and to get out of it, I have to leave another dialogue box.

I don't want to get out of these dialogs whenever I open a PDF file.  I just want to see the PDF file.  That's all.

How can I configure the software so that it does not prompt me for that?

First of all, even if works well, Acrobat 9 is not officially compatible with Windows 10, so some problems are to be expected.

However, the behavior that you describe is usually caused by a script or parameters incorporated into the files you open, not in the application itself.

  • Videos will not work unless I have keep the cursor, or switch to full screen mode. This does not happen on Internet Explorer.

    I've updated the flash player.

In past threads, users said that they managed to solve this problem in a variety of different ways, suggesting that there may be multiple causes:

    • Remove unwanted extensions
    • Clean malware
    • Disable hardware acceleration
    • Change to a different drive Flash (developer/debugger version)

In response to these first two, here is my procedure suggested to track down and cleaning of the bad modules. I know it seems long, but it's not so bad.

    (1) open the Control Panel, uninstall a program. After the loading of the list, click on the column heading "installed on" to group infections, I mean additions by date. This can help the undisclosed items bundle smoker who snuck out with some software, you have agreed to install. Beware of everything that you don't recognize / remember, since malware often uses sounding names important or innocent to discourage you remove. Out as much garbage as possible here.

    (2) open Firefox page modules using either:

    • CTRL + SHIFT + a
    • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons
    • in the Windows "Run" dialog box, type or paste
      firefox.exe "about:addons"

In the left column, click on Plugins. Set essential and unrecognized plugins 'never enable '.

In the left column, click Extensions. Then, in case of doubt, disable (or delete, if possible) not recognized and unwanted extensions.

Often, a link will appear above at least an extension disabled to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links in the last step.

    Any improvement?

    (3) you can search the rest of problems with scanning/cleaning tools listed in our technical support article: Troubleshooting Firefox problems caused by malware. These scanners on request are free and take a long time to run. If they end quickly, especially if they require the payment you have a serious infection. I suggest the specialty forums listed in the article in this case.

  • Tecra S11 - FN + F5 won't switch to VGA screen

I have a problem with the Tecra S11 series.

When I press the FN + F5 button to poster that the system refuses to respond to my request and automatically comes back on the LCD screen. (Or in the case of an external VGA monitor to the monitor).

Because of this problem, I am unable to switch between the screen of my laptop and my VGA monitor when I want to work in my office.

I found a few ways around this issue, like the mode of presentation, but this isn't the way it is intended.

Can someone help me with this problem?
I already tried to install either the 'Hotkey utilities for display devices"and"change of display device. Both packages try to start, give the cmd.exe window and then the error output a "; Installation Failed. "message.

    More information about the system:
    Toshiba Tecra S11 - 11G (PTSE3E)

    BIOS version: 2.20
    THIS version: 1.70

I hope someone has an idea about this.

According to portable documentation this laptop came with Windows XP Home edition installation disc.
This Toshiba WXP recovery image is installed on your system s WXP own Tecra or company?

As a rule, what you need is:
    # V6.06.03 TOSHIBA common modules
    # TOSHIBA Hotkey Utility for V3.5.1.0 display devices
    # TOSHIBA screen device utility change V3.2.1.0

These three tools are important for the functionality of FN + F5.
Do you use the VGA VGA cable or an adapter?

  • Office, showing the screen Mode

Only, I downloaded the demo of Photoshop CS5 Extended on my iMac 27 "with all the OS current updates and for some reason that I do not get the standard gray screen when the program is in place.  Instead, it shows the office or whatever program was in sight before CS5 (for example, if I open a file in Bridge I see again the bridge screen even if I am in Photoshop).  It is extremely annoying and if I click inadvertently on what seems to be the bridge (even though I'm in Photoshop), need me the bridge.  So I'm working on a picture in screen Standard with a distracting background Mode and of course, I can switch mode full screen, but that doesn't help me if I'm trying to hover over a layer from one file to another.

Did I miss a new layout option in CS5 that did not exist in previous versions?  I closed out of Photoshop, reopened and even restarted the computer without success.  He doesn't want to just give a standard grey background in CS5.

    Thanks in advance.

Looks like you are looking for the Application Frame mode. If so, you're the first person I've met who had something positive to say about it.

In the window menu, choose "Application Framework". Everything will be now pulled in an interface of type Windows MDI, with the application having its own training. There is a show successes related to this mode, but this looks like what you were using in CS4.

  • How can I turn on/off and exit full-screen Mode?

As stated in my previous announcement on July 3, the only way I could see the view full screen of my Hotmail "Compose" mode was to reload the Hotmail Web page or enter full screen Mode. Now how to exit full-screen mode, because I lost all the headers of windows and toolbars. (NOTE: I use a resolution of 1024 x 768) I have to go to higher resolution before the return of the mode full screen? Reboot may keep the settings that I don't want.) I apologize if this is not not to be a Firefox problem after all.

Sounds like something that you could simply add to your previous post, expected rather than we could find your previous post and working on a new response.

And then if you just repeat what you read before you won't like the answer better than before. If you have a web page specific are you a bit more of one problem than the other also can help.

    Mode full-screen:

    • Toggle in and out with F11
    • Toggle to display-'Alt + V' menu > F (full screen)
    • While in the switch from full-screen and hold the mouse at the top of the window - whatever it is that you would do before can be done full screen as long as you stay in height in the toolbars. Including as noted recently Cor - el (hope it wasn't yours), you can press the "Maximize" button, then the button "restore".

I can do the same thing on Hotmail, the special thing is that there is a delay, and he likes to show my top full Office between the two. I am running Windows 7.

  • As in IE9, I can switch to IE8 Compatibility mode. I want to be able to upgrade to FF3.6 when I run FF4. Is this possible?

I want to be able to switch to FF3.6 mode as in IE9, we can switch to IE8 mode.

    Is this possible in FF?

Sorry, no, this is not possible. Firefox 4.0 replace Firefox 3.6 when you installed 4.0, as well as Firefox needs not a "compatibility mode" as a IE - Firefox has always been more compatible with W3C standards that older versions of Internet Explorer have been and is not need done like IE "mode" to view the web pages made for older versions of IE without breaking these web pages.

  • Light (switch) on my screen does not turn off. I have to shut my computer down several times a day to turn off the monitor.

Light (switch) on my screen does not turn off.  So, I shut down my computer and restart several times a day, because when I put it in mode 'sleep', he wakes to the top in a few minutes and will not fall asleep.  I could put a blanket on my screen when not in use, but I'd rather find a way to make it stay asleep when I tell him.

Light (switch) had already done once before and I was so worried that once I turned off the monitor that I would never get it new on... a bit short of money here, to buy a new monitor, but the next day, I pressed the power button with an additional downward pressure and I could so he could start working again (able to turn the market monitor).  It was about 3 weeks ago.  Now, the light stays green, unless I stop the whole computer.

Maybe my main problem is sleep mode, which removes the screen for like 2 minutes and then he wakes up to the top and is so rude when I myself and try to sleep, I just turn off the monitor everytime I put the computer to sleep.

Now, I can't turn off the monitor, except by turning off the computer.
