  I've known several accidents suddenly blue screen, with apparently no advice. After several tests of different conditions I counted it takes place when the WiFi switch is on. So, it should be associated with Bluetooth or WiFi.

  Have you already checked the BIOS if you have installed the latest version? If this is not the case check this on the Web from Toshiba site and make an update of the BIOS. Maybe it helps

  But I had a similar problem last year and the solution was exchanging the WLAN card.

  I think your Tecra S11 should still be under warranty and in this case that the repair will be free. :)

  I have a problem with our new laptops Toshiba Tecra S11 - 11 G PTSE3E WiFi card.

  I have preinstalled a notebook with Win7 Pro x 64, all drivers for toshiba and laptop preconditioned / tools intel.

  I reinstalled the driver several times with no improvement. Update the driver with windows update did not too.

  In the Device Manager are no remaining unknown device. In information system under "Components" > "Problem Devices" are no devices listed.

  I have no ideas left how solve the problem...

  Maybe the software blocking Wifi connections.

  You can run the Toshiba recovery to rule out a software problem.

  I think that this laptop has been preinstalled with just OS Win 7 32 bit and you get the other Win XP DVD drive to install Win XP (if necessary)

  To my knowledge, Toshiba offers with own books with images different and some models are preinstalled Win 7 32 bit and 64 bit OS and some are preinstalled only with 32-bit.

  So I guess you just Win 32 bit OS and you can buy 64-bit Win 7 If you want to use this

  I have a similar problem on my brand new Tecra S11 - 11G. The only difference is that the problem is present only when I have my laptop plugged in and turned on WiFi radio.

  If I turn the Wifi radio off and keep the laptop connected to the power source, the external screen keeps flickering. If I keep the WiFi radio and disconnect it from the power source blinking stops, too.

  I reported this problem to Toshiba customer to the Portugal (where I bought it) and they gave me the ticket case #710008193. They said that they would not replace the defective unit and that I should leave for repair. It is absolutely amazing because the laptop is brand new. A customer still expects to have a well work product when needed out of the box without having to call the repair man. I think it is their obligation to replace the damaged aircraft. In addition, this laptop is part of a fleet of the company who buys only Toshiba laptops and we are talking about a Tecra and not a Satellite. We deserve more respect from Toshiba.

  In a year or two, I have a new laptop (company policy) and it surely won't be a Toshiba.

Always is that laptop Tecra are designed for commercial and designed for use in offices, meeting rooms and the customer visit so the sound is not so important in the whole of the package. This is not portable multimedia, so you probably won't find any Tecra with high quality speakers inside.

  OK, I can understand you and maybe it's not a bad idea to have Perfect sound on this model of laptop, but I think this is the wrong place for your question. What you need is professional advice.

  I recommend you contact the nearest authorized maintainer and ask for help. They have service manuals and know what speakers are inside and what speakers can be integrated as a replacement. Maybe some high quality of harman/kardon speakers can be used for the upgrade, but that one is not easy to say.

  You are right. both models have different LCD displays but the same graphics card. I can't say for sure, but I'm sure you can use the HD screen + with your laptop.
