• U2415, MacBook Pro retina, flashing or unavailable video

  I have a MacBook Pro of the retina (end of 2013). My company bought a Dell Ultrasharp U2415 for me. I unpacked yesterday, plugged, used for about 2 hours, then the video started to blink.

  The flashes are the same as those described in the post of this Forum of Support from Dell and see in this youtube video. I've attached a video of my actual flashing monitor.

  This morning, I came, only connected to the external monitor (literally the only device plugged other than the power adapter), and started working. I have 5 minutes of solid video before the flashing began. I tried reseating the cable mini display to end the monitor and the laptop and now the screen gives an error message "No. DP Cable.

  I tried restarting the computer and using a different cable; no attempt to solve the problem.  Is there a solution to this problem?

  Fix. We do not know what problems you may face. The only Dell monitor we validated on Apple was the UP2715K. You should ask users to Apple here. If there is no specific fixes Apple / workaround solution, they need to know.

• Videos on Facebook not be loading not because I switched to Firefox. Can correct?

  DreamScene Content is simply a video file.  To remove it after download, just click on it and press the DELETE key (just as you would remove any other file).
  Regarding found before you download: the website will have to make that available to you.  Given the work, they would have to do to provide a player video against you just download and play yourself, I understand that this is not likely.

• Get 'this video is currently unavailable' on Youtube

  As I got up Wednesday night, I get "this video is currently unavailable" when I try to watch videos of Youtube, both onboard and on the page of Youtube for video said.

  Disabling hardware acceleration did not do either. But I saw on the first page that you linked to where it says try ti disabling modules. So I restarted Firefox in safe mode and the problem did not happen. I rebooted with active modules, and it happened. I disabled Flashblock (keeps things flash to play until I want to that they) and the problem has not happened. I should have tried that first.

  Try a forced reboot and make sure that the function is displayed. This does not affect the data.

  To force the reboot your device, press and hold the two buttons of sleep/wake and home for at least ten seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

• Problem with video Capture where the connection settings are unavailable

  I have two capture - Dazzle Platinum 100 and Game2 PC cards. The issue is the same with both, so it must be something to do with a setting on my laptop.  I can't access the setting of the video input in the Capture menu of one of the capture software I've tried. I can select the device in the Source menu, but nothing happens when I click on the menus of the video input (the options are missing). As such, I can't select the composite input. The audio seems ok.

  The xbox and tv are connected using a separator and the component drive with connectors yellow, red and white coming on TV and I tried the two Pal 50 and 60 in the settings menu of xbox. I have set the settings to capture PAL and have also tried all the others.

  I also disabled the webcam and uninstalled the webcam software in the case which has been cause of conflict. The dazzle card detects an entry but cela there is no picture, just a white screen with lines. The dazzle card also caused regular dumps while the Game2PC only gives the incorrect parameter error 0 x 80070057/11878 they both.

  I've now provided all that may be in conflict has been uninstalled. I tried to change the capture settings and they are not available. Device Manager checked again and it appears Windows detects the device as device not video and Audio. Why would you think?

  I solved this by downloading a new driver from the manufacturer's website. The disk driver provided seems to have been inconsistent with Windows and caused the device to be considered an audio device only. Windows drivers has also caused this problem.

  The cropping effect happens in the first elements 11 under fx effects/transformation/harvest in the workspace Expert, not fast,

  

  a. work space expert, fx effects tab/transformation/harvest and drag the crop effect in the clip on the video 1 track.

  b. When you do this, a crop group is created in the range of effects applied to the purposes of change the cropping effect.

  You get to the Crop Panel to expand and change the effect by Panel Palette/crop applied effects effects tab/Applied.

• Videos of YouTube suddenly stop and restart only in Firefox

  Last night around 20:00 I watched a video without problem, Youtube closed my browser and did other things for a while. When I got home at about 22:00 and tried to watch another video, the video suddenly stopped a few seconds, gave me "an error occurred" then suddenly the video began again to the place he stopped but now it was a small hook to the start/stop point (see attached image). This wouldn't be a problem if it happened once in a while, but since last night, it happens with ALL videos regardless of the length or quality.   Can not install the latest version of iTunes.  Everytime I try I get this error msg: "the component you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable."

  Then I click OK and get this msg: could not find the path C:\users\my name\appdata\local\apple\apple software update\itunes6464.msi.

  I need to sync my new iPad pro and because used to synchronize requires the latest update, I have my laptop but I never have syncd my ipad with this computer and if I try to backup if I agree to erase everything on my device and sync with the laptop.  Of course, I don't want to do what I want to see everything on the NEW ipad from the old version.

  I have a problem of Age of Empires 2 running on my new computer. Keeps displaying the following error message: "cannot initialize the graphics system.   I had the above problem with AOEII:Age of the Kings. My brief spec is Windows 7 Ultimate edition (SP1) and a card nVidia 8600 GT. I did the following (make sure you reboot after each installation):

  Make sure that you are running the latest patch of AOEII:AOK (2. 0 a):

  Download and install the latest version of DirectX:

  Download and install the latest nVidia Driver suite. I left the autodetect my card software and reset all my default settings. I also installed the full software suite:

  Finally, right click on the shortcut of AOE and click Properties. Click on the Compatibility tab and select the following:

  -Run this program in compatibility mode - choose Windows XP Service Pack 2 (!) NOT 3!)
  -Disable visual themes
  -Disable the Composition of the Bureau
  -Run this program as an administrator

  One of the above options maybe work on its own, but that's what I had to do to make it work and I tested it after each step.

• Video jerky on 3D games. Need help!

  I have a problem that I can't fix on my own.  When I run any 3D video game, such as World of Warcraft, Neverwinter Nights 2 and dungeons and Dragons Online, I can play very well for about the first 5 minutes and the video would become quite agitated that it makes the game unplayable.  This system did not always have this problem, I was able to play these games without problem until about 3 months ago.  I have formatted and reloaded windows, ran numerous virus/spyware/performance scans, lowered the graphics settings to the minimum, updated all drivers and updates windows without success.  My wife has the same exact system on the same network and can play games without any problem.  I had ideas and I was wondering if anyone here has noticed.  Thanks in advance.
