Understanding search rules - Source.

I have a scenario very very simple just to learn more about the rules of research & transformations and how they work.

I can't get the search rules to work with areas sources of some how restrict conversions based on the source.

I understand the benefits of using one or the other for simple conversions, etc.

At the moment I only use search with no transformations on the VCSC rules.

Scenario:

EX90 - [email protected]/ * / (recorded with VCSC)

VCSC - 172.16.246.92

VCSe - 172.16.246.93

VCSe - 10.0.0.230 (NAT - PublicIP)

FWLocal - 10.0.0.1

FWInet - publicIP

Jabber - [email protected] / * / (recorded with VCSe)

Jabber - [email protected] / * / (Findme on VCSe)

EX90--CSCV--VCSe--FW--Internet--Jabber Video.

Everything works fine if I dial for example 8095556631 Jabber in the EX90 video.

Demand of the VCSe to the VCSC happens like this: [email protected] / * /(VCSe)--> [email protected]/ * / (VCSC).

This work without any intervention from the rules of the VCSC research because join '@172.16.246.92' of the VCSe.

Everything works fine if I dial for example * EX90 6631 to video of Jabber.

The request of the VCSC to the VCSe arrives like this: [email protected]/ * / (VCSC)--> [email protected] / * /.

This is done using search with localZone.GetDaylightChanges source rules to the destination TraversalZone.

It does not work! If I dial for example 6631 (Extension) to the EX90 Jabber video.

Demand of the VCSe to the VCSC happens like this: [email protected] / * / (VCSe)--> [email protected]/ * / (VCSC). (That's what I want to change to [email protected]/ * / without using transformations on the VCSC and using the rule of research with source TraversalZone).

The rule search:

Name Desde VCSe

40 priority (like right now)

Any protocol

Source TraversalZone

Auth                            No

Alias fashion model

Model Regex

Pattern string (\d{4})(@172.16.246.92)

Replace patter behavior - 809555\1\2

To stop the game

Target localZone.GetDaylightChanges

I do not understand how to select Source: TraversalZone the source of the application gives me "ignored due to filtering of the source.

Seems I am missing some basics on how to find work for incoming requests not generated rules locally.

The guides were less concerning research and own deployment, which also lie to the use of the domain

To quote the guide:

The routing configuration in this document searches for destination aliases that have valid SIP URIs (that is, using a valid SIP domain, such as [email protected]/* */).

Please set up and use a domain name, your rules might address and test again.

I would stick to a - z, 0-9,-. for the part of the user and the domain of the sip uri!

I will most likely see because without a propert domain name it does not.

I would also be careful with many changes, rewrites and search you may see problems with the presence and other things.

  • VCS - numbering of the IPS 'known' search rules

    Hello

We have a standard configuration of VCS-C/VCS-E, with VCS - C, the value 'indirect', VCS-E the 'direct' for calls to unknown IP addresses. It works very well.

The problem is we have a second remote desktop on MPLS which points of Polycom endpoints (not enrolled in the VCS) and they can be reached via IP address, but they are inside the LAN. I can only call them if I change the 'direct' VCS - C since I see no way to create a search rule targeting a specific range of IP addresses - it will not allow the models for comparison with IP addresses!

    Am I missing something here?

(Edit: Alok beat me to it)

    Thomas,

on the VCS - C, you can create one or more subfields with 'subnet' membership of type rules where you add IP addresses or subnets that you want to be able to deal directly via the VCS - C.

No matter what IP address that corresponds to a membership rule subarea for a subzone is considered "Known" VCS in question, which allows VCS to make the call to this IP address directly.

This is described in the VCS Administrator's guide in component IP "section:

The VCS considers that an IP address to be "known" if she is:

-is the IP of a locally registered endpoint
-Beach one of the membership rules configured subarea on the VCS to address intellectual property statement

In addition to this, need a search rule "AnyIPAddress" for the local area on the RESUME said.

    Hope this helps,

    Andreas

  • Search the source code for directories

I'm developing a tool which is a directory of search optimizer. I was wondering where the source code of search directories? I want my face to look like window optimizer directory ongoing research, but then im adding features down. Thank you!

    Well Hello Meow,

According to me, that the source for this Panel is part of one of the DLL Teststand calls directly, not in a file located in the directory of Teststand sequence.  Therefore, it will be not accessible to the public.

  • Is it possible to search the source code is located in the remote server files?

The search feature is very robust for local files, however, is it possible to search for files remotely?

I'm not interested in the feature "Search and replace", just looking for source code in the files on the remote server.

The search function in DW only works on local files.  You would need to GET all files to your server first and then perform a search on all of your local site.

    Or use another tool:

  • Search VCS rule

    Hello

I am configuring a search rule to direct calls to a specific domain.

All numbers are 15xxx (each of them starts with 15). For reference, if the call to entry will [email protected] / * / it must be translated in [email protected] / * / and leave the area SIP domain which is privatedomain.com

I try to do this ditch search rules, but I couldn't do it again.

BTW, the VCS version is 5.2.

    Thank you

    Hi Douglas,.

You can do this with a search rule or translation rule.

The translation is always performed before searching for and allows you to change the number of the called party. Be aware, that only the translation could be used at a time. So if you have several translation only the first, which is to be applied.

You can do this also with the rules of research. To look for a match with the correct regex. The positive effect is, if the alias is not found, it could be sought with the public domain too. The next rules are also processed, if the alias matches the regular expression and no alias registered was found and "on the correspondence" was set to continue.

I have attached two screenshots, how it might look.

Is that correct, or is at - it an easier way to do this without having to add all statements of NAT?  Moreover, any change would be to do on the access list?

    Hello

To my knowledge you should not create several new instructions from NAT. You should be well just create a new Group 'object' for new addresses your source address NAT.

To better explain, take a look at your current ' object-group ' that defines your source addresses

    the APP_CLIENT_Hosts object-group network

    network-object, object SITE1_APP_JCAPS_Dev_VIP

    network-object, object SITE1_APP_JCAPS_Prod_VIP

    network-object, object SITE2_APP_JCAPS_Dev_Host

    network-object, object SITE2_APP_JCAPS_Prod_VIP

    network-object, object SITE1_APP_PACS_Primary

Now you can do this sets up a "object-group" that contains a NAT IP address for each of the IP addresses inside the ' object-group ' and 'object' used above. The IMPORTANT thing is that the ' object-group ' that contains the NAT IP addresses is in the SAME ORDER as the actual source addresses.

I mean, this is the first IP address is in most object - group ' will correspond to the first IP address in the newly created "object-group" for the IP NAT addresses.

As above, you can simply have the same "nat" configurations 3 as before but you change/add in the newly created "object-group"

For example, you might do the following

    network of the SITE1_APP_JCAPS_Dev_VIP_NAT object

    Home 88.88.88.81

    network of the SITE1_APP_JCAPS_Prod_VIP_NAT object

    Home 88.88.88.82

    network of the SITE2_APP_JCAPS_Dev_Host_NAT object

    Home 88.88.88.83

    network of the SITE2_APP_JCAPS_Prod_VIP_NAT object

    Home 88.88.88.84

    network of the SITE1_APP_PACS_Primary_NAT object

    Home 88.88.88.85

    the APP_CLIENT_Hosts_NAT object-group network

    network-object, object SITE1_APP_JCAPS_Dev_VIP_NAT

    network-object, object SITE1_APP_JCAPS_Prod_VIP_NAT

    network-object, object SITE2_APP_JCAPS_Dev_Host_NAT

    network-object, object SITE2_APP_JCAPS_Prod_VIP_NAT

    network-object, object SITE1_APP_PACS_Primary_NAT

Then you add the following configurations of "nat"

NAT (inside, outside) 1 static source APP_CLIENT_Hosts APP_CLIENT_Hosts_NAT CLIENT_Host_1_NAT CLIENT_Host_1 non-proxy-arp-search of route static destination

Static NAT APP_CLIENT_Hosts APP_CLIENT_Hosts_NAT static destination CLIENT_Host_2_NAT CLIENT_Host_2 non-proxy-arp-search of source route 2 (inside, outside)

NAT 3 (indoor, outdoor) static source APP_CLIENT_Hosts APP_CLIENT_Hosts_NAT CLIENT_Host_3_NAT CLIENT_Host_3 non-proxy-arp-search of route static destination

Note line numbers, we added the above commands. This allows them to enter the upper part of the ASAs NAT rules, and therefore, they will become active immediately. Without line numbers that they will only be used after when you remove the old lines.

Then you can remove the "old"

no nat source (indoor, outdoor) public static APP_CLIENT_Hosts APP_CLIENT_Hosts CLIENT_Host_1_NAT CLIENT_Host_1 non-proxy-arp-search of route static destination

no nat source (indoor, outdoor) public static APP_CLIENT_Hosts APP_CLIENT_Hosts CLIENT_Host_2_NAT CLIENT_Host_2 non-proxy-arp-search of route static destination

no nat source (indoor, outdoor) public static APP_CLIENT_Hosts APP_CLIENT_Hosts CLIENT_Host_3_NAT CLIENT_Host_3 non-proxy-arp-search of route static destination

This should leave you with 3 configurations "nat" who made the NAT source addresses and destination.

Naturally while you perform this change you will also have to change the ACL Crypto to match the new source NAT. This is because as all NAT is done before any VPN on the ASA. So the destination addresses are Nations United for before VPN and source addresses are translated before VPN.

If you do not want to make the changes without affecting the connections too so I suggest

    • Add rules to the ACL Crypto for new addresses (NAT) source. Of course, this must be done on both sides of the VPN L2L. You would still be leaving the original configurations to the Crypto ACL does not not the functioning of the L2L VPN.
    • Add new configurations of "nat" above without the line numbers I mentioned who mean you that they wont be used until you remove the "old".
    • When you are ready to be migrated to use the new IP addresses, simply remove the original "nat" configurations and the ASA will start the corresponding traffic for new "nat" configurations. Provided of course that there is no other "nat" configuration before the nine that could mess things up. This should be verified by the person making the changes.

Of course if you can afford a small cut when then changing the order in which you do things should not matter that much. In my work, that connections are usually not that critical that you can't make these changes almost at any point as it is a matter of minutes what it takes to make changes.

Hope this made sense and helped

  • Adjust the threshold for rule interrupts

    Hello

Can someone help me change the thresholds for the interruptions of rule? It seems to make use of an internal function called thresholdState(#interrupts#) to determine criticality. This user is editable to change the thresholds, or at least to understand the condition behind it?

    Hello

If I understand this rule is using the Intelliprofile feature. If you search for "thresholdState" on this page of the documentation , you can find the article that explains it. I say think because I watched this metric in the documentation and it does not say that there was a defined threshold IntelliProfile, as for other measures. Maybe it was an oversight of the documentation. He certainly looks like he got IntelliProfile thresholds in the topology for this measurement model, see example on our Linux servers, showing a Normal state:

If the answer to your question, yes the thresholds are user editable but maybe not in your way of thinking. As there is a threshold of IntelliProfile it is based on the deviation from the baseline, whereas you would have to change the threshold of IntelliProfile beaches. I don't think that's what you want with your question.

    Hope that helps.

  • Tandberg VCS Expressway - rules of appeal policy

    Dear all,

We are currently deploying DNS resolution on the highway to VCS, and it works as expected.

However, we would like to block an outside party to call our VIP users, so we are set up the rule of the appeals policy.

According to the help page of VCS, both the Source and Destination are supported by regular expressions.

But we found that the strategy of appeal rule is not as planned.

    For example, we have configured

Schema of the source: [email protected] / * /

The destination model: [email protected] / * /

    Action: allow

As a result, the user [email protected] / * / is not able to call the endpoint ex60domain.com.

Does anyone face the similar problem? Or someone has the recommendation on this matter?

    Best regards

    Ben

As Andreas mention, you can use the CPL to control call of endpoint not registered by CPL following (just quick example)

    ===============================================================

    "xmlns:TAA ="http://www.tandberg.net/cpl-extensions"

    "" xmlns: xsi = "http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"

    xsi: schemaLocation = "urn: ietf:params:xml:ns:cpl cpl.xsd" >

    ===============================================================

Another solution is to use the new dial plan search rules introduced in X7.2 release.

Registration of endpoint of VIP in separate subfield and create specific search rules.

With X7.2, you can configure the search rule detail as called Protocol and source subfield level targeting specific subfield level.

Please see page 35 of https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-26316.

(But this little yet complicate when call comes e - VCS to VCS - C where VIP registered endpoint).

  • VCS X7.1 appeal rule strategy does not

I recently had trouble with my appeal policy rules. I don't have 9, then I deleted all the and created the following:

    Source:. * Destination: test@%localdomains%. REJECT

When I dial [email protected] / * / field the call goes through. If I change the State of destination to [email protected] / * / area, the appeal is dismissed as it should.

Has something changed causing % localdomains % does not work?

Sent by Cisco Support technique iPhone App

I believe that variable matched model such as % localdomains % are not supported in the CPL.

    Administrator's guide-

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/telepresence/infrastructure/vcs/admin_guide/Cisco_VCS_Administrator_Guide_X7-2.pdf - says (page 368) "made VCS use of pattern matching in a number of its features, namely allow lists and refuse, presearch

transformations and what configuration search rules and area changes. "It doesn't mention the CPL or call the policy rules at all.

  • How can I view source on an app (preferably before you install)?

An app for Firefox OS is programmed in HTML and JavaScript. So, just like a Web page, I should be able to view the Source, right? This has always been the approach of empowerment of Mozilla, as far as I understand. View Source is ideal for learning by example (just like how I originally learned HTML!), but also for open audit. Ideally, I would like to be able to look over the code until I agree to install.

  • The timeline of Google search function does not work in Firefox but not in IE

I use Google for searches. After receiving the search results there are additional options along the left sidebar. "Timeline" function takes the results of the search and sort them in chronological order and displays the results on a timeline. This feature is used to work well in Firefox. Now after receipt of search results when I press the option "Timeline" Google tells me that my search "did not match any documents."

I assumed the problem was with Google but when I finally tested in Internet Explorer, I discovered that the function of the chronology has worked well. The exact URL in Internet Explorer properly displays the results of the timeline sorted but when stuck in Firefox it produces no result.

Please explain what could be the cause or I might have to switch browsers that I wouldn't do. Thank you.

    Here is year example of a Google Timeline search request that produces no. matching documents: "http://www.google.com/search?source=ig & hl = in & rlz = 1G1GGLQ_ENUS287 & = & q = mozilla + firefox + reviews & btnG = Google + Search & aq = f & oq = #q = mozilla + firefox + reviews & hl = in & tbo = 1 & rlz = 1G1GGLQ_ENUS287 & output = search & source = lnt & tbs = tl:1 & a = X & ei = W20_Tf_2OoragAeJ0LG8Aw & ved = 0CA8QpwUoBA & fp = d99ec83a3d63f24"

    • "Clear the Cache": Tools > Options > advanced > network > storage (Cache) offline: 'clear now '.
    • 'Delete Cookies' sites causing problems: Tools > Options > privacy > Cookies: "show the Cookies".

Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the Add-ons is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Modules > themes).

    • Makes no changes on the start safe mode window.

  • Rules of ISDN GW 3241

    Hi all

I have set up next week an ISDN gw 3241.  I've done a few readig on it (the user guide and other cisco docs).

In my implementation we hane one ISDN gw with 1 E1 (several DID).  several points of video endpoints (VEP) will use this ISDN gw.

All IP VEP are registed to the VCS.

I want to set it up this way:

    IP for ISDN

No matter what IP VEP, when calling IE 88XXXXXXX (88 is the prefix of video isdn gw), the call will be routed to the ISDN GW.

    ISDN to IP

If the remote call of VEP ISDN GW number + 44335xxxx01, call get routed to IP VEP1

If the remote call of VEP ISDN GW number + 44335xxxx02, call get routed to IP VEP2

If the remote call of VEP ISDN GW number + 44335xxxx03, call get routed to IP VEP3

If another number in this range is this is to say composed + 3245xxxx06, appeal to be rejected.

Can someone share some shots of a configuration of ISDN gw with commentary and similar rules? Thanks in advance.

    Kind regards

    Hi friend

With regard to the fraud free, I usually use a simple methodology that brings a security level pleasant without requiring a complex configuration. CPL is a nice option too, but it's too complex in some environment, and it is difficult to manage and troubleshoot in my opinion.

Normally I restrict access to the ISDN gateway by only search rules. Try this:

    1. Let's say your code access to the PSTN is 9. If your end points would call a PSTN number dial 9 + number.
    2. Let's say that your ISDN gateway is to register the prefix 9 for VCS, so that when you dial 9XXXX the call is routed to the ISDN gateway that is registered in the local area of VCS
    3. Create a rule to search specific to ISDN calls, see example below, examine the marks:

Please, follow all the instructions, I mentioned above, it is so important.

If you have several access codes to the PSTN, you can create several rules of research as a result of this procedure, or you can use a regex to sum up the roads. For example, let's say you have 99, 98 and 97 as codes PSTN, your template string may be (99 | 98 | 97) \d*. This route matches any number including the prefix is 97 or 98 or 99.

Another important consideration is, if you have PSTN access codes (not having not makes no sense), you need to design a numbering plan that avoidsmismatch between your access codes to the PSTN and your alias and routes. It is extremely important! For example, the suggestion that I placed above, you should not have any endpoint whose alias begins in 9 , because it would result in a conflict with your ISDN search rules.

Prior to performing any configuration, save time for thinking and planning. I also suggest make you several test after the implementation of your ISDN integration with free fraud prevention.

I hope that this is useful.

    Best regards

  • Rule for VCS looking to account for multiple IP addresses

It is possible to specify several IP addresses in a search rule? Basically, I want to have a search rule can reach any server of CUCM, without having to recreate the search rule X the number of times for each Subscriber.

    Hey rf,.

    Check:

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/Telepresence/infrastructure/VCs/config_guide/Cisco_VCS_Cisco_Unified_Communications_Manager_Deployment_Guide_CUCM_8_9_and_X7-2.PDF

Considers that this review especially Appendix 4 (page 40,...)

You can configure cucm (needs to support areas) using a neigbor area, if you

can add the IP addresses of the cluster in the area and point to it the rule of research.

The rule of research itself can only match on a ground but not fork the call to do different destinations incl. change of address

(if I understood you right here).

I had made a request to feature some time ago to clone the searchrules and other parts of the config,

via the Web interface, which could be handy to help you generate several quite similar search rules.

The best way to do so is to use the cli, empty your rule to work, modify it and add a new

    rule with additional content.

Please note the validations and set the thread solved if it is.
