  I've been using excel to place several tables in my InDesign CS5 document which will require the update on a regular basis. The tables are already formatted in excel, so I will place in InDesign with formatting and you will usually have to reduce proportionally the tables as soon as they are in InDesign CS5. When I'll update the links, it is important the content of the tables as part of current text with larger text and I am unable to "Insert the picture content" or "shrink content proportionally." Nobody knows how to solve this problem or know of another way to link excel with formatting tables and update without having to reformat the table (i.e. to resize the image and text) every time that happens an update? Thank you!!

• HELP: just upgraded to Mac OS 10.7.3 and InDesign CS5.5 overwhelming guard from the opening

  HI - Indesign CS5.5 stopped working when I upgraded to mac OS 10.7.3. It was working fine before the upgrade... He maintains the crash during launch. Photoshop seems to work very well, but the same thing happens when I try to open Illustrator. I reinstalled suite CS 5.5, but to no avail.

• Printer Postscript InDesign CS5 I can't select the PPD file

  Hello

  I just upgraded to CS3 Master Collection CS5 Design Premium, but now can not select the PPD desired to generate the PostScript file in InDesign CS5.

  InDesign CS3 > file > print:

  -Printer: PostScript file

  -PPD: Brisque 4.1 MAC worm

  InDesign CS5 > file > print:

  -Printer: PostScript file

  -PPD: {the only choice is 'Device independent' or two printers connected to the computer via USB cables}

  The Brisque PPD is located:

  /Library/printers/PPDs/contents/resources/BrisqueV41.PPD

  The two USB printers - an Epson and brother are found:

  / Library/Printers/Brother HL-2140 series.app

  / Library/printers/Epson Stylus Pro 4800.app

  Gently, I'd appreciate your feedback as to how I can print to PostScript using the Brisque PPD file in CS5.

  OK I found it.

  Put here your PPD file.

  \Applications\Adobe inDesign CS5\Presets\PPDS

  Make new folder if it is not present.

• InDesign CS5 crashes when you click the Edit menu or the context menu

  I had this problem with InDesign CS4, infuriating some references to other people having the same problem, but never real solutions found.  This problem seems in InDesign CS5.

  When a document is open, if I have the Edit menu or click anywhere in the document window (including in the area of cardboard... it is to be on an object), ID immediately freezes and I get the dialog box Windows 7 "Adobe InDesign CS5 has stopped working".

  I've deleted preferences, created a new document of a page, and the problem persists.  If no document is open, I can pull down the Edit menu very well.  When a document is open, ID crashes before it even to call the menu.  It does not matter that I use the mouse or the keyboard to access the Edit menu.  I can also right click on things like the tabs in the palette to bring up the context menu.  But I can't right-click anywhere on the document itself without ID crashing.

  The maddening thing is that the problem has not shown until shortly today.  I grew up effects of an object window via click many times, but also use the context menu of fitting.  It was working fine last night and this morning.  Then suddenly no visible reason, the accidents began to occur.  I'm not aware of any change to my system that could reasonably be expected to cause this.  No new fonts, no update of Windows, no updates of Adobe.

  Any suggestions on if not, how can I solve this?

  I noticed when I Open Office started sometimes my InDesign blocks exactly in the same way that you described. Because the programs work secure storage space I realized that the only thing that connects them is Clipboard.

  Sometimes if you ctrl + c some common OO sheet, by access to the menu edit InDesign content or content, InDesign crashes at the same time. In edit & menus command "Paste". InDesign checks Clipboard (I assume it does) and some Open content in there Office actually planting.

  That's how I see it.

• Acrobat closes unexpectedly during the economy and then the files and comments are lost

  I work in acrobat pro x on a pdf of 300page.  I comment on the pages in the pdf file using Stickies.  I'm trying to save the file.  at halfway through the backup of the acrobat process to quit unexpectedly.  When I reopen it, he says he recovered the lost file - I click on it and says that the file cannot be opened and it is lost.  Happened yesterday also so about 4 hours of work down the drain!  is there a way to get around this?  Thanks for your suggestions.  If I can't comment on safely the pdf file, then the process of review/comment wrole becomes unusable...

  As you have seen, leaders from top of page and large file sizes documents can become unstable.  Add multiple comments of hundreds to such a document more contributes to the problem.  This is a great feature that everyone loves, but he is not all-powerful, as you have seen!  To avoid this, I always recommend export regularly comments in a .fdf file and always before the regular stops.  In this way, if your crash for some reason files, comments can easily be re-imported.  It is also advisable to have a backup version, the annotation to your document, as a matter of course.

  Other questions about are file size, CPU usage and, above all, the available memory.  These are usually the culprits in situations such as you described, although they provide without prior warning.  Indeed, the warning is usually when the file becomes unstable and behaves exactly as you described.  Although your machine can meet the minimum system requirements to run Acrobat X, when you get into this type of workflow, there is much more at stake than most users realize at the outset.  I wish he had the best information available to warn users in advance on these these situations, but I addressed this subject extensively in my book, 'The Guide PDF.' litigation

• BlackBerry smartphones "operation terminated unexpectedly" during the Outlook calendar synchronization

  Help!  All timed very well but one day then just stopped working.  I rec'd an error from "Intellisync" message indicating that "the operation ended unexpectedly.  I tried to uninstall the DM Software & reinstall several times but it does not help.  I tried to synchronize from the device only to Outlook & it worked once, but the second time I rec has got the same error file 398 194.

  In my desparation to keep trying different avenues, I have tried to uninstall the DM again but reinstalled the 4.3.0.15 version (15 August 07) rather than the newer versions (had already tried the 4.5 and 4.6 with the same errors messages).

  My first attempt to sync my Outlook calendar with v.4.3 does not work either, but for some reason, it works now.  Go figure?  I'll just cross my fingers and hope that this older version will continue to work.

  I think that its because of this reason:
  The two - InDesign CS4 and InDesign CS5 have their application/program/exe named "indesign.exe".

  Installation of either InDesign CS4 or InDesign CS5, sets a default for the 'indesign.exe' Windows path. In this case, since InDesign CS4 was installed later (after InDesign CS5 was already installed), the "indesign.exe" which has been staged "Indesign.exe" of InDesign CS5 has been replaced by "Indesign.exe" of InDesign CS4.

  But after long google and searching through regedit, I have the solution:

  1. Search for HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\InDesign.Document\Shell\Open\Command in regedit
  2. Change the value of the attribute (default) for "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Adobe" '%1' / / including the quotes

• Loss of power during the Installation of Windows Vista, need help

  Recently reformatted my laptop, a loss of power during installation and now when I turn it on I get the same message telling me that the computer stopped unexpectedly during the Windows Installation, press OK to restart your system. (Not a quote).  When it restarts, it continues at the same point and I get the same error message.  No disk Windows Vista, it's a computer laptop gateway and I have been using the Recovery Manager operating system is stored on the laptop.  Help, please.

  You will have to re-design of the Web site and make it interactive and adapted to the screen of the tablet. Use the HTML format to import it into the Workflow of DPS. Don't forget Apple has strict approval policies so it can reject the app is implement you this as a simple website without using interactive components. It is best if you redesign for Tablet during the implementation using DPS.
