Uninstall Macromedia Captivate first?

Is it better to Captivate 1, first uninstall it before installing the Captivate 2, if and when I get the upgrade?

Hello adarb,

Adobe support is not aware of any issues with having Macromedia Captivate and Adobe Captivate 2 on the same computer. If you encounter any, please let us know.

Thank you

Someone at - it an idea to get rid of Macromedia Flash Player? :(

    Hello

Why you want to remove it?

First of all it s no more Macromedia Flash Player but the Adobe Flash player.
So I recommend you to visit the Adobe page and download and install the latest version of the Flash player on the site.

Finally, it should be possible to remove the Flash player from the system in the Panel-> Add & Remove programs

In addition, I recommend the free application called CCleaner. Some guys recommended this too. You can manually delete all the files in flash player and you can clean the registry using this software.

  • Each user of Captivate first must have an Adobe ID?

I thought I had solved this issue, but I just stumbled upon something that suggests the answer I thought I had, does not.

It seems that all first Captivate users must also have an identification code Adobe is that correct?

I say this because I watched the Lynda.com course entitled: Adobe Captivate first Essential Training and Dr. Pooja Saisingh clearly says it's mandatory in this course.

    Can someone please check?

    Hello

You don't need an Adobe Id for each user. You can use Single Sign On (SSO) where you can use your own emails or any similar Id for verification purposes. However, you must required an email address for each employee but can use the ID of the SSO for the ID field if you prefer in csv.

You can also check the following links to see the csv to import and registration user in Captivate premium-

  • How to uninstall Macromedia Flash Player version 7

    Hello world!

You just bought a Palm Treo 500, but I cannot load the accompanying CD. The error that says that I have an obsolete macromedia flash player.

I have already installed the latest version of adobe flash player, but I can't seem to rid the old version (version 7) on my system. Add/Remove program can't find any uninstall program on my system.
Can someone help me on this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Cannot update or Uninstall Macromedia Flash player!

    Hi people!

I have a problem with the automatically installed Flash Player. I use a Qosmio G20.

During the installation of a new program (financial Office Lexware) this program has tried to update Macromedia Flash player to the latest version. But the former Player uninstall was interrupted and the following message appears:

The feature you are trying to use is on a network unavailable resource.

Click OK to try again or enter a different path to the folder containing the installation package 'install_flash_player_7.msi' in the box below.

    Use source:
    C:\Sysprep\

Close this window ends the installation process of this new program.

After that, I opened the list of installed programs to uninstall Flash manually, but with the same result.

Then I searched the internet for this install_flash_player_7.msi. I found the file but I can always remove or update Flash Player.

As a last chance, I backed up all my data and used the recovery DVD to reinstall the whole system. Without having to install any additional application, I took a look at the list of installed programs, and guess what? The Flash Player has already been installed, so it is part of the recovery DVD.

But why it can not be uninstalled? I really need to get rid of the former player to be able to install Lexware financial Office...

Thank you in advance for your help!

    Yvonne

    Hello

Well, the message the component you are trying to use is on a network resource that is not available is displayed because you install Falsh from a resource, such as a network server, functionality which is no longer available during installation.
If you are disconnected from your network resource or point of installation, please try using another way or place to download flash.

  • Windows 7 can be set on a second computer when uninstalled on the first computer

buy a windows 7 Home premium update on ebay but recently discovered that it was installed on his computer, but he says it uninstalled and it should work.

First of all, buy used windows is kind of a bad idea, you have no guarantee that the person will actually uninstall it.

Secondly, Yes, if windows has been uninstalled from a computer, so it can be put on another with the key used on the 1st. A single computer can use a key at the same time, so if you use and the person who that you bought na not uninstall, then he would not accept the key. Or it could, but we would say that windows is not genuine.

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

It would be better to just buy a new copy of windows from a store, instead of opportunity on ebay.

  • Once uninstalled, Dell my first Adobe Elements 9 I can't reinstall it or any other Adobe

I recently came across a problem with my Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 and in the context of trying to reinstall the missing file MSVCRT.dll they uninstalled my first Adobe Elements 9. Now I can't reinstall it. I get an unable to reach the message of Windows installation Service AND a message that says that it cannot install a file MSXML.dll I have tried everything I know, they tried everything they know, trying to tell me that I have to do a complete reinstallation of my system. Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit on an Inspiron 2320. I have two CD separate program for Adobe Elements programs, and they are all two independent disks. Or we're going to install the program, they both get the same error. I had the program on a backup hard drive, I copied it and I can get the Basic program to work using the .exe file, but I can't get the items of addition that are at the origin of a 2nd disk to install, no matter what I do. Apparently, I can not install any other Adobe thing either. AIR is not installed, Adobe Premiere elements 11 trial will not be installed. Besides, I don't think that the Adobe installer is installation. Reference Dell rpet talk to Adobe. HA! If anyone can understand what's not this kind of things adobe will not install let me know. Or where I can get this MSCML.dll file? How to get into the computer? I already had to make 4 reinstall full on this computer since I bought it in June and I'm not looking forward to having to do it again. Also, when I try to install it, it install the entire program, then comes to the end, gives me the error message (and you can find the files in the program folder files) but when you click OK or cancel the cannot install MSXML file message, then it automatically uninstalls all installed and there he seems to have no way to stop it.

Well, what managed Dell technology that, has no idea. They have ruined your Windows Installer on a systemic level. Try to download the stand-alone Microsoft Installer package from the MS web site or let Windows Update update of Internet Explorer for example. If this does not work, I don't mind to reinstall Windows from scratch would fix things...

  • my computer is Windows xp, my friend downloaded Windows 7. Will not that she should have uninstalled windows xp first?

Uninstalling windows XP.   IHAVE virtually no memory, I have Windows 7 AND Windows XP installed on my computer, I even restore canmot back it won't let me. What should I do?

What is now installed on the computer, Windows XP or Windows 7?

It seems that your friend has made a custom installation of Windows 7 on Windows XP.

Possible why you don't have any hard drive space, your personal files were moved to the Windows.old folder to the root of the hard drive.

  • External user followed in Captivate first

If I understand correctly, there are some limitations to the use of external user accounts (self-registration of service too), when it comes to monitoring the progress and performance of users in the LMS.

As we work with elderly test subjects that might not be very technologically inclined, we would prefer to sign upward and as easy as possible, and if the Adobe ID is simply not ideal.

    Is there an alternative?

    Hi Thomas,

With external user Adobe ID is not necessary. Simply send the registration of external users link to the user where it will ask you to register itself. User can use any email ID (his personal e-mail ID) to register for this external group and you will see increased County on your side of seat.

After registering, the user will be directed to the home page of the learner. Later user needs to use the external link and the registered e-mail ID and password to connect.

    Kind regards
