  • I want to uninstall the upgrade of windows 7 and go back to Vista.

This device comes preinstalled with Vista so that I only have the recovery disks that I made when I first set up the computer.  How can I uninstall the upgrade of windows 7 and reinstall Vista?

    BogeyB,

If you have made a real upgrade (overlay on Vista), you might be surprised.  Click on the computer and open the D Recovery drive.  Open the folder named Recovery. Look at the bottom left corner.

What is the date of creation?  Mine is from 2007.  I do not superimpose WIN 7 until 2011, but the recovery is still 2007.

It's actually your full version of Vista recovery... it didn't get deleted or altered, except if you did.

  • Can a "uninstalled" Vista Upgrade be installed on another machine?

For various reasons of Dingo, I want to update a computer XP MCE to Vista.  Best price on the upgrade of Vista in my area is a copy that has been installed and then uninstalled.  My question is, the software still allows to update * my * machine?  It is I think I understand that the upgrade process essentially disabled the XP he license upgrades, but is it become "attached" to this license?  Thanks in advance for any info!

    Doug

If it's a copy retail Vista Upgrade or full installation disc (and you need is product key to go with it to activate the system - yours won't work) then it is perfectly valid, but you will probably need to activate Vista manually after the installation.  It is not reallly invalidate your XP license - it could be used again if you want to re - install XP on the same computer (if it's a sense of OEM license it installed on the computer, it cannot be used on any other computer but that it came installed on).  If it was a copy to the detail of XP that you purchased separately then it can be moved to another computer.  The licenses for the two products are separated and do not cling.  If the Vista disc is a disc of some other computer OEM you should not buy it because this product key can be used on any machine that it was orriginallly installed on and if you try you will be impossible to activate.

To activate manually, go to start, search, and type in slui 4 enter.  Enter your country and press Next.  You will be on a screen with a phone number and a bunch of codes below.  Dial the number and browse automatic guests until you get to a human being.  Have your handy product code because it will be asked.  Explain the situation, but it's the same PC and only installed on this PC.  They should give you a code to enter on this screen to activate Vista.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Uninstall W7 upgrade old PCs to install on new pc

I have a PC HP 18 comes with Windows 8 months ago and now runs the 8.1 and get little Windows 10.

My old PC is from about 2008, was purchased as a computer Windows Vista, then I qualified for a student discount, upgrade to Windows 7. This PC is not used at all.

I would uninstall Windows 7 from the old PC, and repartition my current PC hard drive, or add another hard drive and install Windows 7 as a dual boot on my current PC option.

    Does my license?

Thanks for any help or opinions,

    Derek

The student offer is an upgrade license, you can't dual boot with it.

  • vRA 6.2.3 Commons component catalog uninstall before upgrading to vRA 7

    Hello

a sine qua non for the upgrade to vRA 7 is uninstalling the catalogue of common components. In the documentation is written:

"information on how to uninstall, install, and update the catalogue of common components, see the documentation for common components catalog."

I could not find that the documentation when I searched on the web at - it someone now where? When I searched for common components catalogue I found only a few explanations which belongs in the foundations and the manual concept but nothing that explains how to uninstall them. I actually tried to upgrade without uninstalling then because I couldn't find any hint how do - in vain the upgrade then of course when it came to such amenities that AFAIK are part of common components catalog. That's when you run Setup of IaaS.

    Thank you and best regards

    Jens

    Jens,

Catalogue of common components belongs and is used by VMware Professional Services, so if you have not deployed your current environment by a commitment of PSO you have probably not installed the CCC.  If you have installed and takes advantage of components in your current deployment, you must contact PSO directly or through your TAM and request a copy of the CCC that corresponds to the version of vRA that you migrate as each version of vRA has a matching version of CCC.

If you have installed the CCC today, it appears in Add/Remove programs on the servers that host specific components of IaaS (assuming that you have a distributed deployment):

    • Model Manager
    • Each host providing the web service and that contains the data of the model Manager
    • Server Manager

You simply run the uninstall after stopping all services of vRA.

  • Why 5.7 Lightroom is not uninstalled after upgrade to lightroom 6?

    Hello

I subscribe to creative cloud and I got lightroom 5.7.1 until yesterday. Today, when the update of lightroom 6 was available, I've updated. Now I see that there are two lightrooms on my windows (win 7 ultimate, 64-bit) - Adobe photoshop lightroom 5.7.1 and Adobe Lightroom CC.

Question is why previous version 5.7.1 has not been uninstalled? Is there a reason? Can I keep both?

Some clarification on this should help me do the right step forward.

    Thank you

    Girish

No chance of corruption. The problem, you can see what your 5.7.1 LR catalog will not match your catalog LR 6.

Again, this is why I tell you that you must use Lightroom 5.7.1 for 'real' work and 6 Lightroom for the test images, until you reach a point where you are sure that you will switch to Lightroom 6. Then you can upgrade the LR 5.7.1 Catalogue in LR 6 (new) usinf file-> open in LR 6 catalogue, and this new LR 6 will contain all 'real' work you did in Lightroom 5.7.1.

  • Uninstall the upgrade of version 5.5 of v4 and reinstall v5.5 on new PC

I'm working on version 5.5, which was activated by a CD of the v4 upgrade. I have the serial numbers of v4 and v5.5.

Could someone confirm that what follows is the right way to transfer Captivate 5.5 upgrade from v4 to a new top of the tower.

    1. on the old laptop (connected to internet) go to help on/off and select "deactivate permanently".

    2. on the new laptop launch the installation of version 5.5 (see question below)

    3. When asked to enter the serial number for upgrade version 5.5 and then v4 serial number

No idea where the v5.5 download link?

    Thanks as always...

    Noel

What in fact if all you have is a license upgrade and you install on a new machine, in addition to the deactivation of your previous on the original machine installation, you may need to INSTALL Captivate 4 first, then activate that, before installing Cp5.5 and activation through the upgrade license.

If your path can be much more complicated than what you want.

  • You uninstall CS5.5 when. CS6 upgrade?

After the upgrade to cs6 cs5.5, I was surprised to realize after installation that both versions still exist on my system to 64-bit windows 7.  Also, I was surprised to NOT see CS5.5 in my control panel, even if it is installed and working and Cs6 is present in my folder of Control Panel programs.  How do uninstall you cs5.5 after installation of the cs6, realizing that none of the cs5.5 programs are available for uninstall after upgrade to cs6 in the control panel; but the two programs are still clearly installed and running.  Since I'm on a SSD as my hard drive I need real estate on my hard drive after you have uninstalled cs5.5.  Please notify.  Thank you.

Sometimes users will keep older versions of the Adobe software for compatibility reasons.  If they regularly work with users who use older versions of software, they have an older version installed as well for full compatibility.  I know that this has been the case with InDesign in the past, even if this question was reduced greatly in CS6.

In addition the users of third-party plug-ins or utlities could still also need to access the old version until the supplier third party releases and update plug/utility.

Finally, there is the curve of learning concerned to adapt to the latest version.  If you are in the middle of a creative project with an impending deadline, you can still use some older software until your due date has passed and you have the bandwidth in order to familiarize yourself with the new workflows and processes in the latest version.

Hope this helps?  It's the less many of the reasons for which users have given me over the years about why they still use or wish to keep the old version.  Personally I keep a few versions back installed but it is mainly to support purposes.

  • The new upgrade puts the message 'remove' in the middle of the index of right click menu, how can I get that back on the bottom?

Your response help topic indicates that the default position of "delete the message" in the menu click right index is on the bottom. But after installing the upgrade, it now appears in the middle. This makes the removal of e-mails much slower process. I don't want a filter on this email account. Can I move down or uninstall the upgrade?

Install Menu Wizard, then open its Options, expand the main pop-up Menu, then drag and drop 'mailContext - remove' to the bottom of the tree.
