If so, you can find it in the installed updates window...

System will return to your previous version of Internet Explorer. You don't have to re - install. For the benefits of others looking for answers, please mark as answer suggestion if it solves your problem.

The reason I ask because we want to use the version that we bought windows 7 on another computer in our House instead of my old laptop.

    Hello

There are several ways to return to a previous version of the operating system or even to transfer your files and settings to another version of Windows 7. Before you uninstall versions of Windows 7 you can transfer, backup and restore, or in some cases restore your previous operating system to the point just before upgrade you to Windows 7. The articles below can help you with the expiration feature and can guide you through the process to migrate your files, and then uninstall Windows 7 beta:

  • HP Pavilion Notebook - 15-p199: need help with the installation and activation of 10 Windows after completely uninstalling Windows

    Hello HP assistants.

I need help for a specific problem. My laptop came with an installation of Windows 8.1. Then I upgraded to 10 Windows when it became available. After a while, I decided to uninstall Windows completely (to wipe the hard drive) and install a Linux operating system.

Now, I decided that I want to use some software that is not available on Linux and if I want to reinstall Windows 10. My problem is that Windows has completely disappeared in a form any. So now, I need to download Windows 10 from an official source (which I think can be done fairly easily from the official source of Microsoft, although if there is a better, HP official medium to do this then please recommend it) and then I need to activate Windows some how.

As has been made clear, I have the right to use Windows 8.1 and 10 but I would need to download Windows 10 and turn it on. Is there a way to do this? I'm literally stuck without solution.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

As long as the previous installation of Windows 10 had activated Ok after upgrade from 8.1, you can simply perform a new installation as described in the guide on the following link.  Note: On the activation screen, select "I don't have a product key" - Windows will activate automatically once installation is complete.

  • I have 2 problems-how can I activate my Add ons and how to uninstall Windows Anti Virus. I need help, please.

I have Windows XP 32-bit with IE8 Add ons.  I mainly use Firefox Mozilla for my browser and Yahoo as my home page.  Anyway, I have tried all the support and help guide and technicians told me to do to get add ons to open and activate but in vain.  This computer was given to me as a profession, and it was used in a Bank, so I think that the system administrator has disabled the add ons.  I myself as an administrator and use the tips and tricks given windows and Microsoft, but I always run up a wall.  I need help, please.
I also need to know how to uninstall Windows antivirus software.  I can't find anywhere on my computer.  I feel really stupid and he is probably right in front of my face, but I can't find it to uninstall.  I have McAfee that I paid dearly for if I want to use it until it expires.

This "Microsoft antivirus' witness (AKA Trojan W32/FakeAlert) hijackware infection!

If you manage to somehow move to Win7, you will always have an infected computer.

The ONLY way to solve the problem is by formatting the current hard drive and do a clean installation of Windows, whether it is WinXP or Win7.

The ONLY way you can do a clean install of Windows XP if you have disks that came with the computer or if by chance, there is a hidden partition restore (not to be confused with the system restore).

If your kids er - well & their spouses are going to spend money on a new HARD drive, they'be be better spend on a low-end Windows 7 computer and brand-new (for example, a netbook or a mini).

NB: Any data on your Windows XP computer must be considered 100% reliable! (This includes all of your usernames and passwords, for example, those used for online banking, etc.) You do NOT want to put ALL the data from Windows XP to a new computer or HARD disk.

Good luck, Grandma. Hope that your grandchildren will treat you better than their parents.

How to uninstall Windows Live Mesh Remote desktop.  I can't uninstall it & it continues to send an error message?

    Hello

    What is the error message?

If you have enabled Live Mesh Remote Desktop, you must be running Windows Vista as an administrator (a type of user account that allows full access to the computer,
including the ability to install programs and manage other user accounts.) to uninstall the Live Mesh software.

  • What do I need to uninstall Windows 7 after installation of Windows 10?

What do I need to uninstall Windows 7 after installation of Windows 10?

You upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10?  If so, how it remains on the disk?

If your question is about whether the operating system that is used to qualify for upgrade can be used even if it is still eligible for the upgrade, the answer is no it is essential will be blocked until the upgrade is removed during the reinstallation of the old operating system.  Then it may take wake-up phone to retrieve the old operating system license.  Also is it better to keep the old operating system using a Windows 7 System Image backup which can recover the old BONES in 20 minutes and preserves the activation.

  • uninstalled windows 10 now have problems

    Hello

I installed windows 10 from windows 7, but then had few problems as - could not connect to the internet.

I uninstalled Windows 10 and now I keep getting a message stating this copy of windows is not genuine. My back custom ground also guard goes black (instead of the blue windows 7 logo).

I switched programs, click system to view the product key number, but it is not recognized during an attempt to enter.

Glad you can give me advice on how to fix this?

    Thank you very much.

    DAZ

Number of records is renamed in the update but not restored to there original names when restore you (recover). The security changes made to the files and folders are a mess total going either way.

The only way to get windows stable 10 is to upgrade and make sure that it is enabled. Create an installation DVD or USB media, and then use it to wipe the drive and do a clean install. Do not have your specific system drivers very practical because as you noticed, windows does not all. I've been too 'offline' until I've manually updated driver for my built in "Ethernet cardnetwork Killer ©".

On stability of windows 7 after recovery, I'm still working on that myself. I know enough to save a lot of data on a 2nd drive and I know the occupant stupid tricks to regain possession of files, but like everyone else, always impossible to install critical security updates for windows 7.

Currently, your best bet is to wipe the drive and reinstall windows 7.

  • Uninstall Windows Live essentials 2011 manually (I have not deleted the folder so no wlarp.exe)

So, I was disappointed by the new version of Windows Live Messenger and I decided to uninstall Windows Live Essentials 2011, of course, be the fool that I am, I deleted the folder for it. Now it won't let me install the old versionor the new version, because he thinks that I have installed the new one. Now I know where the problem lies, there is supposedly a registry key or file (s) system in windows that the program is still installed, I was hoping to find out where these files / registry keys were, so I could remove them.

  • Query related to uninstall Windows 8

Original title: uninstall of win 8

    I have uninstall windows 8

    Hello

Welcome to the community Microsoft and thanks for posting the question.

According to the description, it looks like you have problems to uninstall Windows 8.

I need to ask you some questions to help you better.

    1. Why do you want to uninstall Windows 8?

    2. is it an upgrade or a new installation?

If you have a Windows.old folder to the root of the drive where Windows 8 has been installed, you can try to uninstall Windows 8 using this folder. See follow-up items for instructions. They reference Windows 7, but the same principles apply when you use Windows 8:

How to uninstall Windows by using the Windows.old folder:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/971760

If there is no Windows.old folder there then it means you did a clean install.

If you have critical data on the disk, try to manually back up to an external hard drive using copy and paste.

Answer to us if you are having problems with Windows 8 or any other issue of Windows, and I'd be happy to help you.

    Good day!

    Hope this information helps.

  • Remove Windows 7 beta of VMWare Fusion

    Hey everybody,

Now that the Windows 7 Release Candidate Public is out, I want to uninstall my virtual machine that has the beta version of Windows 7 on my Mac.

    That I just have to follow the instructions here: http://KB.VMware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?cmd=displayKC & docType = kc & externalId = 1003420 & sliceId = 1 & docTypeID = DT_KB_1_1 & dialogID = 18566617 & StateID = 1% 200% 2018568500

or do I need to uninstall Windows 7 in another way too to make sure it's off my machine?

    Any help is appreciated!

    Thank you

That should do it. You don't have to do a separate uninstall of windows, simply delete the file from the virtual machine as described in this post.

If you are using VMWare Fusion 2.x (perhaps also for 1.x, but I've never used so I don't know), then you may also launch the Virtual Machine library, right-click the virtual machine and choose 'delete '. You will then see a prompt asking you if you want to move the file for this virtual machine to the trash. Choose "Move to trash" and the file of the virtual machine will be moved to your trash. Empty your trash, and who will get the beta out of your machine.

  • Portege R500 - anyone using the DVI Port Replicator II on WIndows 7 Beta?

    Hello
I'm using the beta version of WIndows 7 on my R500 and runnig it's just well except the DVI Port (on the Port Replicator II Slim).
I have installed this software Fingreprint, battery bluetooth (which are recommended as a solution by the Action Center) and the 'TOSHIBA value added together"which adds the management software of power supply, control over the 2 hardware buttons and gives the FN menu to the screen to control the functions FN1-9.
I think I can say it's definatively a driver problem, because if I start the R500, the windows loading screen appears on my screen, but when he switches to the desktop, the external screen turns off and the desktop on the screen of the laptop. Also, no chance to activate via FN + F5.
I tried with the driver Windows 7 buildin, the latest driver from intel (15.8.3) and the vista driver provided by toshiba (7.14.10.1244), but none of them work: (unlucky
BTW: the vga output works, but only UNdocked :(
Does anyone have a solution or a tip what to do or try?

    Hello!

First of all, I have to say that Windows 7 Beta is as its name the indicates that a beta so there might be some problems and it s not sure that everything works fine with Windows 7 Beta.

Your problem: you see the second monitor in the display settings? There you can active it and mark the option extend my Windows desktop on this monitor.

Lastly but not the least you should do an update of the BIOS if you have n t the latest version.

    Good bye
