Thank you for your response. I have Microsoft Office 2010 is installed. Is there any additional software that I need to install. If so, what is your recommendation. Setup of Microsoft office Toolkit WSR uninstalling and reinstalling MSO? Or buy the box tool and install?

WSR, Windows speech recognition, is integrated into the operating system, Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8. You should be able to dictate in Microsoft Word or Outlook. You must start WSR before Word or Outlook.

  • Speech recognition does not work

It seems that MS speech recognition has bugs in Windows 7. At different times, he has different problems: can't set up a mic, cannot be enabled because "the language configuration is not supported." This seems to be the big problem. I tried to fix it with the online instructions, but could not find the fix said the statement was there.

    Hello

    Scenario 1: Problem with MIC.

    Before troubleshooting,

    1. make sure that the microphone is positioned close enough and you speak directly into it.
2 make sure that the microphone cables are intact and unbroken. Make sure that the connections are loose and they fit perfectly into the computer.

If the microphone input level is too low, make sure that the microphone input level is set correctly.
Entry level to adjust the microphone

    1. Open Sound by clicking on the Start button, then Control Panel. In the search box, type sound, and then click sound.
    2. click on the recording tab.
    3. double-click on the microphone you are using speech recognition.
    4. click the levels tab and then use the slider to adjust the entry level for your microphone.

Please make sure that the properties of the Microphone are set correctly and check if this solves the problem.

    Scenario 2:

Could you please answer these money questions?

    (a) don't you make changes on the computer before this problem?

This problem may be caused by the speech recognition settings.

    I suggest the following steps:

    1. go in Panel of-> speech recognition

    2. click on options of speech of the advance on the left panel.

    3. change the language to another option.

4 uncheck "review documents and mail to improve accuracy.

If this does not work, change the language back.

If the problem persists, please update the sound card driver and the BIOS to the latest version.

In the window that opens, on the left side, click Advanced speech options. Make sure that the language corresponds to your language and Windows keyboard. The illustration below shows US English.

  • Speech recognition freezes and requires the restart.

SPEECH RECOGNITION - 2nd try. I am a disabled person who is 85% dependent on Microsoft speech recognition to communicate in writing. Two weeks ago my SR program would sometimes freeze and require rebooting. Today, it will stop working every 2 to 3 hours (I find other similar problem, still no solution) and requires the restart of the plant. He was originally also page redirect at will, which results in the loss of previously entered data. Needless to say that my program of speech recognition works pretty well right now. These last two days have been exhausting, trying to keep the operational programme. Can anyone offer advice, assistants, suggestions or point me down as a path to success?

It seems that speech recognition works badly or something is broken. There are a few steps that we can try to solve this problem.
Step 1: Sfc scanner to find and repair corrupt system files.
    1. Click Start, click principally made programs, accessories, right-click Guest, and then click Run as administrator.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on allow.

  • How to change the language of speech recognition

How do I change the language from French to English speech recognition in my French Windows 7 Home Premium Edition version?

    Thank you very much.

    Hi JohnDoe_738

Unfortunately, it is not possible to change just the language of speech recognition. Windows speech recognition is only available when the language of the operating system matches the language of Windows speech recognition. You can change the language of the operating system by installing a language pack from Windows Update. If you install the language pack for a supported language of Windows speech recognition, you can then use Windows speech recognition to this language if it is also the language of the operating system.

    See below the help links-

  • My computer's speech recognition system cannot be set to the Chinese. What can I do?

My computer is Windows 7; his speech recognition system is set to English only, I am not able to change it in Chinese. If it does not recognize the Chinese. Although, on the keyboard, I can type in Chinese. Please notify.

    Hi Liguang,

Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft Community forum.

Windows speech recognition is only available when the language of the operating system matches the language of Windows speech recognition.

I would like to ask you a quick question.

    1. which edition of windows that you are using?

I suggest you to install the language pack Chinese, from where you can get Chinese speech recognition.

Language Pack is available in full and business; If you have Windows Ultimate or Enterprise edition, you can follow the steps below and install the language pack.

To download and install a language pack in Windows 7, follow these steps:
    1. start Microsoft Update. To do this, click Start, type Microsoft Update in the search box, and then click Microsoft Update in the list programs.
    2. click on the links to optional update for language packs.
    3. under the category language packs Windows 7, select the desired language pack.

Note: If you install additional language modules, system performance and disk space are affected. In particular, system performance and disk space are affected during maintenance operations, such as Service Pack installations. Therefore, we recommend that only add you a language pack to your computer if you use the language pack.
    4. click OK and then click install updates to start the download and installation process.
For more information about how to install the language pack, refer to the article below:

  • Why some Windows 7 speech recognition commands do not work in non - IE browsers?

I am running the latest version of Windows 7 Professional (64-bit, SP1) with all the latest updates installed.

My problem is when I use a non - IE browser (Chrome, Firefox) to compose an email in GMail. When I try to use Windows speech recognition to dictate the message, I find that most of the commands, such as "Capital XXX" or "Select XXX", are not available. Why is this? And can I do about it?

    Thank you!

Windows speech recognition supports only dictated full text in programs that use what is called the "Text Services Framework" to implement text editing features. Most of browsers besides IE use something else, if only the most rudimentary speech features work.

    Your options:

    • Use Internet Explorer.
    • Plug-ins: in Firefox, you should be able to use IEtab plug-in operate by implementing the plug-in so that IE is used to view the pages in Firefox Gmail dictation. It is possible that there is an equivalent of plug-in for Chrome.

(You can make requests to software publishers: 1) that Microsoft supports more text programming implementations in the Windows speech recognition and 2.) browser companies support the Text Services Framework.

    Good luck!

  • Windows speech recognition keeps closing

    Hi all

I have implemented recognition voice Windows last night and everything was working fine. I installed Windows speech recognition which worked well as Macros. Naturally, I was stopped for the night and went to bed.
Today, when I turned on my computer, I noticed that speech recognition have upward haven't started with him as he was supposed to.
Long story short, after trying to get it to bot, I noticed that the process was starting when I started WSR but it was only 12 seconds and then stop.
I restarted my computer several times for nothing doesn't. I checked the event log and found nothing in the speech of search terms or sapisvr (WSR process). I can run the tutorial and that works very well. I can also run speech recognition Training(I have actually completed it a few times just to see what would happen).  I also connected as long as another user on my computer to do the test and it worked on this user (again, so set it up).
Anyone have any ideas? I'm fresh out.

    Hi all:

A few days ago, I thought about it and had an epiphony.
Because making a repair reveals exactly what the question here is, why not just create another user profile (since it works too), and copy my stuff. It takes less time, that's for sure.
I created a new profile and all my old files copied to it and set up speech recognition again. I reinstalled the program macro (what a wonderful idea it was) and restarted several times to confirm that speech recognition will continue to work. It's been a few days now and I have not had problems yet. (Good call on this JohnD)
Brent, if this question once again, I'll try the upgrade on site. This time I'll remember to bring my vista install disk with me so I don't have to wait however long again to solve the problem.
I'm really curious to know why this problem occurred again. I guess that's probably something unique to my case where a file has been corrupted or something similar. Well.
Thank you for all your help. I'll post here if the question should arise again. That is is not the case, I would say that this issue is resolved. Thanks again to all.
    Kind regards
    Aaron Ball
