  A very interesting thing happened. We have an Adobe account DPS Enterprise Edition in which we have created a unique folio edition. It is a digital version of a photo album, that we published for a Rabbi in Israel (www.seasonsofthemoon.com). Apple has reviewed our app and rejected it and said:

  We found that your app is before a whole book and that it is therefore not appropriate for the App Store, such as noted in the App Store Review Guidelines.

  Try and add more overlays and add more interactivity to your settings App. Use Scrollable, MSO (such as slide shows). When you return to the app, examples of other applications in the App store with the same level of interactivity. This will contribute to the approval process. Use features which are not available in iBooks and inform apple that you have in your application of the unique features that are not available through ibooks.

This feature is only available for Professional publishers and Enterprise, not simple editing. However, you can use overlays Web Content to expose sharing social features to any application.   I am currently working with the unique edition of DPS, and all is well. However, it may be necessary that I turn to professional edition, according to the wishes of the customer. I have a few questions on my mind regarding the workflow and the transfer of Single to Professional Edition:

  (1) how does the transfer of the DPS unique Professional Edition? Can I just order a set level or so online and I can use it instantly? Or is it more complicated and takes a long time?

  (2) currently, in the design of the iPad in Indesign publications, I put the dimensions of the page according to the dimensions of the screen iPad. When I publish to iPad and Android tablets using the professional edition, do I layout the same Indesign files in several dimensions in different pixels depending on the devices? Or the professional edition to somehow "convert" the dimensions automatically (would a dream solution, I know)? The same accounts for iPhone and Android smart phones, do I have to create the same Indesign files for dimensions in pixels very different screen or how it works?

  (3) can I add features such as In-App-purchases, Push Notifications, adding to the newsstand etc. during the creation of the App on Indesign in the Panel Builder Folio or can I put these things in iTunes Connect?

  (4) currently with the unique edition of DPS, I don't have any Analytics - outside what iTunes Connect shows me of course. Is there perhaps any other analytics tool that I can use at the moment with the unique edition of DPS?

  (5) are there other things should I consider when passing the unique edition of DPS Professional Edition?

  #2: If you want folios of different size for each device, then you must create files of different size for each device. We have a few features to InDesign to help with this (as the other layouts), but there is still time. Honestly, it is useless. Dimensionnera your folios of 1024 x 768 for the iPad and mailbox correctly on all Android and Windows devices that support us, even Android phones. The only place where you would need to do another dimension is to support iPhones.

  #4: there is no available with simple editing analytics.

  My application was rejected for the fourth time. Here is basically the same rejection each time:

  We found that the following questions with the interface your application is only a PDF file. Should be added features additional native iOS to the application in order to improve the user experience. Specifically, features that allow the user to interact with the application rather than just consume information are recommended.

  Yes, the app is in pdf format so that the player can zoom and looks good on retaina screens. But the application has almost all features available in the unique edition of DPS. It uses videos, hyperlinks to web pages and e-mail, several sequences of images in 360 degrees, pan and zoom photos, scrolling images and slideshows.

  I appealed to references apps with similar material that are reassigned to only feature e-mail PDF files and or research. However, they seem to have been created with something other than the DPS, eventually Xcode.

  Which allows to conclude that Apple has a prejudice against the average DPS simple edition. Maybe this isn't a problem for large publishers who have subscriptions and multiple editions. But I think for a small publisher to make a publication free unique edition in DPS, the chances of getting approved by Apple are not good.

  You can appeal to the Board of review app: https://developer.apple.com/appstore/contact/appreviewboard/index.html in the case where you think your application has enough interactivity. Sometimes, I have seen releases without basis for Apple and they finally approve these apps after call. Send technical details and all the fuctinalities your application provides when sending attractive.

  I am user CS6, so I have not bought the CC, I bought the only DPS edition, and I created my .folio using woodwing.  I created my first app using DPS APP builder, but now I want to create a new application I can´t use the same serial number.  DPS unique Edition description says I can build many apps to download from the appstore. Why I can't use the same serial number?  What should I do to use my serial number?

  With a DPS simple edition license, you can build a single app for the iPad. Serial number works only once.

  With a full subscription to creative cloud, you can create any number of simple editing of the applications for the iPad.

  I have an existing simple editing application in the app store which is used by thousands of students across the country. I know that Adobe is in decline in support for the unique editing applications. If I recreate my app using a different publishing platform (Twixl, mag +, etc.) will I be able to update my existing application or do I need to submit a new?

  If I can't update the existing application with a new publication platform, existing users will have to buy the new application even once again.

  Using the same IDS, you should be able to update.

• How can I make use of TC partitions and make sure that the file analysis is on the right partition?  I do not see the partitions that I have done in the Finder, but I can drag and drop the files in the folder 'Data' unique under Finder/Shared/TC.

  MacBook Air, OSX 10.10.3, 128 GB; 2 TB Time Capsule ME177LL/A.

  Final objective: use Time Capsule as a Time Machine for my MacBook Air and as a storage solution for large files that I don't want permanently on my MacBook Air.

  So far, I've implemented the TC and set up Time Machine on the TC.  I was able to create 2 partitions on the TC using disk utility then that TM was a backup and the disk was recognizable in disk utility.

  Under Finder/shared, I see the TimeCapsule 'airport', and when I click on it it is a file called "Data".  I was expecting to see my two partitions here.  Under 'Features' is a ' Zissou31 MacBook Air (3)"sparsebundle file and I can also create folders here and drag and drop files on the TC here.  I can see the partitions in disk utility, but how do I see/use the partitions I created in the Finder?

  I fear that this may not be set up correctly and I'm either losing on an entire partition I created or these files dragged/dropped may be at risk of overwriting of TimeMachine.  How can I make sure that the file analysis is on the appropriate partition?

  I disabled TimeMachine and go back to see if I could 'point' to one of the partitions, but the "Data" folder is the only thing that TimeMachine seen.  How do I point time Machine for one of the partitions?

  In addition, in disk utility, I can see one of the partitions TC is related to the time Machine, indicated by the icon Time Machine green bottom left, but two partitions seem to fall under "Zissou31 of the MacBook Air (3) .sparsebundle.
